WBS User Status issue

Hi All,
I have configured WBS User status with one user status as LFI - Locked for Financial posting.
For this user status following buiness transactions are forbiddesn:
Create billing document --> Forbidden
Create sales document --> Forbidden
I have tested one scenario as :
I have created one sales order on WBS Element not having LFI User status and then I have activated LFI user status for that WBS Element. Now when I try to create billing document for sales order created earlier -- whther system shoul allow me or not?

Acct. assignment order/project
Actual activity allocation
Assignment order/WBS
Create billing document
Create sales document
FI: Postings
Funds commitment
Goods Movement
Goods issue delivery
Goods receipt for purch. order

Manual cost allocation
Material purchase order
Material purchase requisition
Post goods issue
Schedule order

Thanks a lot for your help in this matter.
My test results are - system is allowing to create billing document but FI document not got posted.
Also in my sales order used WBS Element is billing element. I know about substitution rule for determination of higer level billing element.
Please suggest.

I think it is possible throuugh Event Linkage Method( SWETYPV transaction), can get help from your ABAPer/workflow guy.
I am just giving hints which may help your ABAPer .
Get Business object for Network BUS2002,
Check for Event of Confirmation if not available , create the event for custom Business object (copy of BUS2002).
Maintain this through SWETYPV transaction,
in Detail level enter Receive function module that should consist of actual logic.

User exit for WBS User status ?

Hi All,
I want to trigger emails from WBS user status settings.
If the WBS user status is 'AA' it should trigger emails to a business unit with a message, if it is set to 'BB' it should trigger e-mail to another business unit with a message.
Which user exit should i use?

The problem with my project is, i am not using any networks at all !
I am using project with only WBS (about 20) for easy cost planning functionality to generate quotation based on DIP profile.
Business team needs communication linked with WBS user status settings.
Your suggestion may work for project which has networks of category 20, but here, i am afraid it wont work.

WBS user status change doesn't trigger changed by update...

Hi all,
I've inherited a program that is used to programmatically change the system and user status of WBS elements. The user has reported an issue where the Change By and Changed On values displayed on the Admin tab of tcode CJ20N are not updated after the user status for a specific WBS has been programmatically updated. The system status update works fine...both fields on the admin tab are updated. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything that speaks specifically to this problem...does anyone have any thoughts?

I'm thinking now that if I create a new version in the web gallery and crop it just for the web export the app will probably re-send that image out to the web site because it treats the new version as a different image. Since the new version really doesn't take up any meaningful hard drive space this wouldn't be a deal-breaker, but I would have to remember to NOT delete that version or change the crop ratio before uploading the gallery again.

FM STATUS_UPDATE to Change WBS User Status

I need to fine the best way to change the user status for WBS, I found STATUS_UPDATE function module and it can update the status , however, the changes does not get reflected in the Change Document log, any idea ?

I would suggest using BAPIs instead of "regular" function modules. With BAPIs you are sure that they won't change, the API is stable. You can't be sure about internal FMs. I know that chance of changing STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN by SAP is seriously low. You can also use FM incorrectly. Using BAPI incorrectly is almost impossible. What I just want to say is that preferring BAPIs is a really good practice.

User status profile settings on WBS not working

Hello,
We have a User status profile on WBS element which has various statuses in it allowing different business transactions when that particular user status is set.
There is one user status NPC in that status profile which should disallow assignment or confirmation on maintenance work order. Now the status previous to NPC status allows assignment or confirmation of orders. So after a order is assigned to the WBS and the WBS user status is changed to NPC when we try to confirm order on this WBS in NPC status sytem allows order confirmation.
Why is system allowing this inspite of the status profile config says confirmation is disallowed in NPC status. I have checked the object types in the status profile config and maintenance order is also included in that but still its not working. Please help in solving this issue, its critical.

The business transactions disallowed under NPC status are as below,
Acct. Assignment order/Project
Actual activity Allocation
Assignment Order/WBS
Confirm Order
Goods Movement
Material Purchase Order
Material Purchase Requisition
Post Goods Issue
But orders can be assigned in the status before NPC, but once NPC is set system does not allow assignment of new orders which is correct. But system allows confirmation of already assigned orders. Please help we do not want any order confimation after NPC is set.

Budget Control through User status

Dear all,
I am implementing the budget process through user status as follows
step1 User has to do the Cost planning first, So that time system does not allow to do direct budget allocation through cj30 and stop all the process like Release,PR,PO,GRN FI posting.
Step 2 approval of cost planning by HOD from this process only system allow the budget allocation.
step 3 budget approval by GM, So afer the approval of budget system should allow PR process.
Step 4 Budget Release by MD throuch CJ32 and set the user status budget released,After this status system system should allow all the process like Release,PO,GRN,MIRO,FI posting.
I did all the required configration as per requirement for above process in WBS user status, But my problem is that if suppose MD set the user status Budget released without doing the budget release through cj32 then system allowing all the process because my AVAC is not activited.
Please provide me the solution

you need to check you budget profile your availability control should get checked against Release budget mostly for overall release ( A/c to your scenario ) . So when you does CJ32 and give budget at that time AVAC status will be on WBS and if you giving less budget in CJ32 system will not allow your approver ( MD ) to save transaction.

User status linking between wbs and network

Dear All,
I got one requirement in which i am using user status at wbs level to block all the transactions. Now the problem which i am getting is that even though i am maintaining the user status at wbs level, users are able to post the data on network activities. If i am maintaining the user status at activity level than i am able to stop the same.
Kindly suggest cant we maintain user status at wbs level and stop fi posting at activity level. Is there any way to achieve this.

If you are after the definitions, the simplest way would be to go to SAP Help.
If you're after the transaction code, it's CJ20N which is the Project Builder screen.

Solution for inheritage of user statuses in a WBS hierarchy

In a SAP 4.6C system I have set-up a specific user status profile for the WBS-hierarchy of a project. The intention is that at the highest WBS-level the user-status is changed manually and that the statuses of the lower WBS-elements will be changed automatically (just like the system statuses). As far as I know
this is not standard SAP and has to be developed
Is there anyone who has dealt with the same problem? How do you have handled this: user-exits, substitution etc.?

You might know that as of release 4.70 the functions 'set & pass user status'
and 'revoke & pass user status' are part of the standard.
Please refer to note 486765.
There is the possibility to do a downgrade of this functionality, we are aware that other customers have done so.

WBS Element ALE - Filtering on User Status

Hi,
 I am distributing WBS element Master data via ALE from an ECC 6.0 system to an HR 4.6C system via transaction CJAL.
 As part of the customer requirement, I have to filter on the User Status 'FIOK' which is setup in our ECC system. Is it possible to filter on User Status. If so can you let me know please.
 I have tried searching for enhancements to filter dynamically but could not find them.

HI,
First go to BD95 transaction and here you will chekc any filter object is there for your requried field.If there is no filter object you can create your own filter object here for you fields.
Next go to BD59 transactiona and assign this filter object which contains your fields to your required message type.
next go to BD64 and select your message type which you want and double click on this message type.Now a popup will display and below this popup there is a pushbutton Create filter group.Press this pushbutton then you will get the all filter object in that message type here you will add filter values.
In this way you will get filter object for your message type.

How can i set automatic change of user status(for WBS)?

Everytime when i create invoice for customer shipment using transaction code VF01, i need to change user status of WBS element manually in project to INTG in order to recognize the revenue. Is there any possiblity to change user status of WBS automatically after invoicing?
If it is, could any one please help me to resolve this problem?

I have Compressor 4 already, defined an own parameter set there (with 1024x680 resolution) but this was not displayed as an option in FCP X. I want to produce my resolution directly from FCP X, not produce it in another resolution and then convert it via Compressor. Let alone the fact that non of the FCP-included resolutions has a width-to-height ratio of 3:2 like mine. The solution would be to know where FCP stores its presets and to be able to modify them or add new presets.

Change user status for WBS Elements

Hi All,
I am working on a workflow related to PS milestones.
When a milestone is achieved the user status has to be set for that WBS element and to all the WBS elements that are next to it.
I have tried to use the FM (ran FM independently as standalone), CJDW_INTEGRATED_USRSTAT_CHANGE with PROJECT NUMBER as input, but it throws an error NOT FOUND.
I have gone through the documentation of it also, which says that user has to prefil the structure PROJ before this FM is called, which i could not understand.
So can please anyone tell me, about the usage of this FM and how to run it so as to change the user status.

it is possible to have status with radio button and check box, by keeping status with status number and without status number.
But I doubt about your requirement whether it is possible in standard or not.
Please search SDN forums for some exit / BAdii which you can modify status profile.

I'm using the BAPI: BAPI_BUS2054_SET_STATUS

I put several rows (two) in the table it_wbs_user_status., I put two rows, the WBS elements for the same item with two different status, but I get error because it says that the WBS element is repeated.
¿Can you have multiple user status for the same element PEP? I try it in the transaction CJ20N too, and I don't Know.

In transaction CJ20N you can change user status for each WBS elements.
Menu --> Edit --> Status --> User Status --> you can choise betwen "Set" or "Set & Pass On".
I want BAPI, function , etc.... that do the same thar "Set" , not "Set & Pass On".
