WCC support for Library services
Hi
I've seen the option Enterprise Library but it seems just like creating folders itself. Please let know benefits of this library.
Hi,
Think of Enterprise Libraries as "Folders" for the new ADF-UI. ADFUI is new feature in UCM 11.1.1.0.8.
See below link for more details.

Is there any commercial support for LCCS services? What are the associated SLAs
Hi,
Following are some queries regarding LCCS.
Is there any commercial support for LCCS services? What are the associated SLAs of the support and the cost?
Can I Using applications developed using LCCS for commercial purpose?
Does Adobe allows its LCCS service customers to offer applications developed using LCCS API for 3rd party commercial usage.
Thanks & Regards
AmitHi,
We were selling LCCS to enterprise customer under a different licensing program, but have since stopped the sale of that.
You should check out this thread - http://forums.adobe.com/message/4110049#4110049 for a discussion on this.

ADF Mobile: JSON support for REST services?
Will the JSON format be supported for REST services using ADF Mobile? Is there a workaround for now that can be used?
For now you can write a Java class to communicate with your JSON service, and expose it as a data control.

Does Websphere(WAS) V3.5 has support for web services ??
Hi all,
Please let me know whether Websphere Application Server V3.5 supports Web Services. If any one has used it for V3.5 then please let me know.
Thanks
-SatyendraI suppose not, as out of the box.
If you look into the classpath and the lib directories, there are no traces of any support for Web-Services.
However, you can set up the environment to do so, It seems to be easy to handle.
Cheers, and keep posting your progress. -

On Plus support for Voice services
Hi Friends,
I am trying to explore use of onplus for Config, Monotoring and reporting for voice services (example UC50,ISR with CME/CUE cards as well as use of SRST).
Could you please sugget any documentation I can refere for this req.
SureshHi Suresh,
The UC500 is a supported device. Please see this link for a feature summary of supported Cisco devices with OnPlus:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-17501
Currently, we do not have any monitoring or reporting specific to voice services. The standard monitoring and reporting available for any device may be applied. In a future release, we may have additional voice features.
Thanks,

Flex/ActionScript3 support for web services using WS-Security
Does Flex/ActionScript3 have support for connecting to a web
service using WS-Security (Policy Creation). I've tried using the
Flex Data Service "Import WSDL" method and it does not allow me to
connect. Is there Flex/AS3 package that can handle creating the
Policy information for a web service that utilizies WS-Security?
Thanks,

Yes and no. The "Import WSDL" doesn't create AS3 classes that
allow header injection of the appropriate WS-Security elements.
I've managed to work around this using straight mx:webservice tags
and AS3. There is an open bug at
https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-15398
that I voted on, the more the merrier.
http://www.jroller.com/wookets/entry/ws_security_in_flex
Has a useful class for creating the soap header elements for a
username token,
In general though, it's been a challenge to get the simplest
of WS-Security pieces working.

SAP Support for Pay Service?
A friend would like me to find out on this site for him:
Is there any service on this site or anywhere, that he can get support, even if it costs some money?
Basically he has a new BW job and he fears he may encounter a problem and would like to deal with it without showing his ignorance to his employer.
Sure, he has been researching on this site but sometimes it may be too specific that he may want o speak with someone on the phone or chat.
Is there any service here or out there, like that?
Thanks. Thanks and that makes sense in the absence of an actual SAP BW support service.
Almost all products out there, Linux, NT, 2000, Netware, have those type of services so we thought there will be one out there for SAP BW.
The point is that, in a critical situation, one would like to quickly be assured of a guaranteed response instead of posting and hoping for a response on a forum, such as this.
I will leave the case open and see if others may be aware of any SAP BW support services on the market.
Thanks. -
Multi language Support for Library project
Hi All,
I am using Library for my project.I want to support multilanguage for the libraries also.
Please help me to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.Hoan - is your question what are the considerations when creating multiligual catalogs? If so, I can tell you that at other clients I have seen them use a single catalog for one or two languages. For the two langugages, such as Spanish/English, you can create a single catalog with both of them. Once you get to more than two languages, the catalog would get unweildy and is therefore not suggested.

Does Y.1731 support for VPLS service under ASR 9000 platform?
Hi All,
we are planning to setup OAM for monitoring performance of our VPLS service interface? By checked Cisco document, I couldn't find related document that can confirm Y.1731 support multi-point to mulit-point interface by full mesh topology in our environment.
Does someone have this kind of experience that could share with me? The document or configuration example are welcomed as well.
Thanks in advance,
Eric.thanks Xander for your input!
on top of this question. Actually, I am looking for better solution to monitoring mutli interfaces at same time. In our environment, we have many of this kind L2vpn setup for customer. instead of monitor end by end, we want to monitor them from central point of view. do you have a better idea for this?
I attached one customer setup example below, and diagram as well.
At the meantime, we also looking for a good idea for how to setup hierarchical monitoring system that it could cross other SP domain.
thanks,
Eric.

What kind of Cellphone supports for Web Services in Java Application?
I have developed a software in J2ME integrated with Web Services!
I am wondering what kind of Cellphone (Nokia, Samsung, ...) supported Web Services now?
Any help is appreciate!Hi Shannon,
The type of proxy I'm familiar with is at the http connection level and
associated with the networking properties in the JDK, See:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/net/properties.html
Your question may be related to JWS proxies, See:
http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/workshop/guide/howdoi/howUseTheJavaProxyForAWebService.html
You may want to ask this question in the workshop newsgroup.
Hope this helps,

Hi, all;
I try to find out how the java proxy of web service in weblogic server 8.1
works. Suppose I use the java Proxy of a WebSerice in a client application whatever
whithin or outside the application of the web service, does the proxy actually:
1. translate my java arguments objects in XML to create SOAP msg,
2. then send the msg across the network, and web service also response SOAP msg,
3. then proxy translate it into return value of the method call ?
If that is true , the Java Proxy seems very inefficient, right?
Can any body tell me how the proxy works ?

How to file a complain against HP Support for not service a laptop under warranty
I am facing an issue. I purchased a g two months back. I have to go through a long process of sending the laptop to them. The internal LCD is having small crack earlier i guess but after some day the screen started behaving weird And then stop showing anything on screen. I send the laptop and the service team investigated it and told me that there is a internal crack on the LCD and i need to pay $352 to get it replace. Seriously $352 for replacing a LCD for a laptop which cost me $380. Also, its under warranty why should i pay as there was no accident to the laptop not even a single scratch on the outside screen and on laptop. Then they told me that this might be due to some pressure on the laptop..Strange if someone jumps on to the laptop there will not be any damage to external parts but internal screen will be cracked..That's pretty hard to digest even when the laptop external plastic is really cheap and even can break with a little pressure. But they send the laptop back to me without even listen to me, they do assign a case manager to me who just offer me 25% discount rather than listening to my complain.. and they closed the case without any more investigation even i asked them to do it again.
Honestly, internal cracking does happen. I had someone throw a Wii remote into my LCD TV and it busted the display. Whenever it was turned off, there was no physical damage. When it was powered on, it was very obvious that the display was broken internally. The pressure doesn't have to come from the back of the display, something could have hit the panel from the front, cracking the internals while not showing any damage on the outside.
You could find the part number for the LCD and and buy the panel and then replace it yourself. If you decide to go this route, I must warn you, replacing the LCD is one of the most difficult things to replace on a notebook. The $352 you are paying for is for the LCD panel and the cost of actually repairing the the notebook.

Support for iPhone servicing/replacement overseas?
Hi,
I'm at an odd case here, and talkign to the AppleCare CSRs in both North America and here in Germany (ended up talking to someone in Hungary and someone in India on the phone...) they weren't all that sure how to help me.
Purchased my iPhone4 with AT&T about 8.5mth ago (so still under Apple Limited Warrenty) but my phone is officially dead:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/15277621#15277621
No response to hard boot, recovery mode, DFU mode, plugging into iTunes or plugging into AC power.
AppleCare suggested a replacement, but two problems:
First: They were unsure that if I was able to bring it into an AppleStore in Germany (none of which are remotely close to me...) if the would replace it and
Second: If they did replace it, I was told it would then 'be locked to German providers'
Question 1: Has anyone had luck getting their iPhones serviced away from their purchasing country?
Question 2: I'm confused about the 'locked to German providers' comment... iPhones sold in AppleStores in Germany are sold unlocked... Would they lock mine to a provider on purpose? Or is the unlocking not handled by the AppleStore... I'm not too familiar with the process because it's impossible in the US. Honestly I dont care about unlocked or not right now... I just want to be able to use it!
Any advice would be great! ThanksIf you purhcased the iphone in U.S and is roaming in Germany. You will have to take it back to U.S and get it replaced from there. Warranty is only valid where it was purchased. If you have a friend or relative in U.S, send the phone to them, have them take it to the apple store and replace the phone and send it back. How are you managing to roam internationally? Surely it's not cheap.

Web Service Support for WebLogic
Add Support for Web Services to WebLogic using IONA's XMLBus
For anyone interested in Web services, IONA has just released a free
technology preview of iPortal XMLBus, with support for BEA WebLogic 6.0
patch 1. You can download it today from www.xmlbus.com, a Web site entirely
dedicated to Web services.
The iPortal XMLBus Technology Preview enables Java Developers to turn
existing EJBs and Java Applications into Web services. XMLBus is 100% pure
Java and installs seamlessly on top of the
WebLogic. It implements the W3C v1.1 draft specifications of SOAP and WSDL.
SOAP is the communication protocol used by Web services to traverse over
HTTP, SNMP, and FTP. WSDL has become the standard for describing Web service
interfaces in XML.
XMLBus automates the process of turning Java classes into Web services,
ensuring that Java developers do not need to learn a whole new programming
language to turn existing applications into Web services.
Wizards guide the developer through the identification of interfaces and
methods the developer wants to become a Web service. The wizard deploys a
SOAP Listener and a WSDL interface for that Java Class, as well as Java
client proxy applications. The client proxy can easily be incorporated into
any Java Application to invoke the corresponding methods described in the
WSDL.
Download a free copy of the iPortal XMLBus Technology Preview from:

Post Questions to the XMLBus Newsgroup:

Mailto:[email protected]This is fixed now. Someone had defined a Servlet for the web service in web.xml that was preventing the EJB container to kick in.

Exporting a List to Excel to use for Excel Services WebPart (not working)
Hey everyone, here's the scenario. I'm trying to export a list to excel and save it to a library. All the connections are saved. Now. I want that excel file to render as a web part. When I make a change on the list and try to refresh the data connection
I get the error below. Please help
AJ MCTS: SP 2010 Configuration MCSA: Windows 7 If you find this post useful kindly please mark it as an answer :) TYHi,
I did a test as the followings:
Create a list, and add some items into it.
Export the list into a Excel file, then upload the excel file to a library.
When I opened the file via Excel service, I saw the a yellow warning about unsupported features.
Then I created a wiki page, and add Excel Web Access web part and connect the web part to the excel file.
When I refresh all data conections, nothing happened.
From the article:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms496823.aspx (they are similar with SharePoint 2013)
SharePoint lists are not supported for Excel service. So, it may cause this issue.
I suggest you click "Open in Excel" to open the file in Excel application, then refresh the data connection, and save back to SharePoint. Then after you refresh the page, the data of the Excel Web Access web part will refresh.
Thanks,
Wendy
