WCS 4.1.83.0 alarm dashboard not flagging security issues

Not sure if the topic title made much sense but basically what is happening is this:
I just finished getting 4.1.83.0 installed on a fresh server with no backup restorations. My 4404 WLC's (x2) are on version 4.1.171.0.
I have been receiving an influx of WPA MIC errors on both controllers, that were previously showing up on the alarm dashboard of WCS (on an older version), but ever since the upgrade, they are not appearing on the dashboard at all.
I have just added the controllers, some alarms are updating (rogue APs for one), and I have also tried refreshing the config through WCS.
I can't seem to find anything on the 4.1 WCS config guide, so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
As a note: The controllers have both reported these WPA MIC errors since I added the controllers to WCS, but no info was updated on the alarm dashboard.

Yes I see the logs and I looked through them.. though I have no idea what I'm really looking for as I have no direction in my troubleshooting.
What does the alarm panel use for it's updating? tftp? snmp? ssh/telnet?
Also I don't believe I mentioned it, but both controllers are pointing to WCS as a 'trap receiver'.
I just don't see how an upgrade can suddenly prevent security logs from being updated on the WCS server. I have a feeling it might have to do with Linux itself as we upgraded that as well from RHEL3...
I also did not see any caveats mentioned.. maybe it's time to open a TAC.
Also; All I did to get WCS running once it was installed was add the two controllers, then refresh the config. Was there something else I was supposed to do other than that?

Hi,
We don't have any chokepoints nor do we have a location server.
Is that the reason why the security alarms aren't being flagged? If so then cisco should have documented that in the release notes.. on the previous version we weren't having this issue under the same conditions (security alarm was flagging).
Just in case it's not clear where this is happening - I'm concerned about the panel on the bottom-left of the screen (java applet). Also when I go to monitor->security, there are no alarms (no previous/cleared either) when there should be.

Adobe 10 ReaderX debugger.js not working & security Issues

I am trying to get this javascript http://johnford.is/downloads/pdf_bookmark.js working. It enables a bookmark in Adobce Reader and apparently quit working in version 10 under windows 7. I copied the code here C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\JavaScripts. But when I copy the debugger.js which ships with Adobe it does not work eiter complaining about syntax:
ReferenceError: getString is not defined
25:Folder-Level:User:debugger.js
My more important question is not how to get the debugger working but how to get the code working to create the bookmark. I tried to change all the enhanced security and options in the javascript preferences screen. I think something else is required not to get this code work because of security in Adobe 10. If you look at comments the developer left in the code they had to add code to get it working because of security in Adobe 8:
* Extra security in Adobe Reader 8 forces access of global variables
* by multiple documents to be setup as a 'trustedFunction'

Bottom line is the new bookmark feature in Adobe 10 is cumbersome and not intuitive and I want to use what this other developer wrote. A bookmark should be 1-click and as natural as placing a bookmark in a book. Duh! No one at Adobe understands that.

TS2446 My apple ID has been disabled but not for security issues.

I can log into my account on line but cannot download apps or anything from Itunes. Have been to the support page and that has been useless! What is the problem does anyone know how to fix this.
I can't even update my current apps or phone for that matter. Is anyone at Apple looking into this? It was working a little over a week ago and now it is not.

you have caching enabled?
At least close all your sessions once and refresh your dashboards again, just to be sure that there's no other problem.

MY iCal alarms do NOT work...

MY iCal alarms do NOT work since January 2009! Not during Leopard and not now in Snow Leopard. I have tried desperately to get my sounds back and checked ALL preferences for iCal. Anyone else have this problem and WHAT can I do about it? What is the "fix" for this stupid glitch???? 911...

I did go to my Apple Sore and traipsed up to the Genius Bar with my 24" iMac... AFTER I made a reservation online of course. I do have that great little AppleCare Protection card.
The good news is that Brad, my genius, at the Apple Store Genius Bar fixed my problem! My iCal now pops up my alarms which I "hear" clearly and on time! *Problem fixed in 5 minutes. WOWZER!* He also told me the iCal problem wasn't my fault, there were some files he needed to delete in my library and cache folders and that the problem seemed to be just a glitch that shouldn't happen again. He didn't know why the files where there... they just were. Thank you, Geniuses at my Apple Store in the Millenia Mall, Orlando, Florida.

Alarm Clock Not working from 12:00AM 01/01/2011 ?

Has anyone experienced their alarm clock not working today ? I set an alarm this morning and it never went off.

Alarm is not playing a tune

i got my new 8900 yesterday and installed the newest available firmware, 4.6.1.85.
got to work 2h late today because my alarm was not ringing (it displays a window with the options to remind again in x min or cancel).
upgraded to 4.6.1.101 but the problem still remains.
(you can not even chose a tune for the alarm)
is there a firmware out there that has the alarm clock feature enabled?

I had this problem when I got my 8900.
Fixed it by changing the default alarm tone from the Alarm Options. It should ring after that.
Also, you can set multiple alarms by going to the calendar and clicking option > New Alarm.

What happens to battery life if alarm is not shut down?

If the ipod alarm is set and you don't notice it, what happens to the ipod? Will alarm be quiet after a few minutes? Will alarm not stop?

Not odd...On Verizon if it is not set up, you will hear a recording that says "Im sorry, but the party you are trying to reach has a vm box that has not been set up yet". It will show as missed if the phone is on, and will appear in the log if the phone is on. If the phone is powered off, the call does not show in the log when turned back on. It will appear as if it never happened. You will only know if you get a VM (if its set up) or if the person tells you, hey I called you!

DSC alarm set and cleared without operator ack - the variable should be not alarmed and not acked

We are deeply involved in porting our application from 7.1.1 to 8.6.1 under Windows XP.
Our application heavily depends on DSC and moving from 7.1.1 to 8.6.1 is actually much more than a simple porting....
here is our last problem:
it seems that there is no discrimination between 'active' alarms and 'acknowledged' alarms on a shared Variable in case the 'ack Type' is set to 'USER'.
Here is what happens:
1) a Boolean shared variable is defined to be alarmed when 'high' (TRUE) and its ack type is set to 'USER' (the operator at our application must ack alarms).
2) the Boolean var is set to TRUE -> it is declared alarmed (OK)  and not ack'ed (OK)
3) the operator ack the variable -> it is declared alarmed (OK)  and ack'ed (OK)
4) the Boolean var is set to FALSE -> it is declared not alarmed (OK)  and ack'ed (OK)
5) the Boolean var is set to TRUE -> it is declared alarmed (OK)  and not ack'ed (OK)
6) the Boolean var is set to FALSE -> it is declared alarmed (NOT OK!!!)  and not ack'ed (OK)
7) the operator ack the variable -> it is declared not alarmed (OK)  and ack'ed (OK)
This last case is the wrong situation: an alarm has been set and cleared without operator ack the variable should be not alarmed and not acked
Actually the variable returns OK only when ack'ed.
see the attached project in which a small vi and a small shared variable lvlib allows to repeat the above steps.
Note:
A) same situation applies to 'double' shared variable
B) under DSC version 7.1.1 everithing was OK

I have tried to undeploy and deploy the library with ack type set to 'User' by default, and then run the vi but the behavior is always the same.
The modification you suggest does not set 'User' ack type because data socket needs '2' as 'User ' setting while property node needs '1' or (better) its own enumerated type.
Anyway I've corrected the vi according to your suggestion and tried again but nothing changed...
Here I attach the project modified with property node and an indicator to show what is the actual ack type

By the way, single alarm is working.

wifi appears to be OFF and ON on my device !.
but when i used to turn it ON , it is not showing anything.

Clock: alarm function not going on at right time!

Just updated from iOS 4.0.2 to 4.1 but now I'm having the following problems with the alarm functions:
1. Alarm does not start if phone is switched off now
2. Alarms set are starting 1hr earlier than the set time.
Currently Sydney changed to daylight savings, but the clock time is fine. Tried deleting and reinputting but still doesn't work. If I'm just testing the alarm function by setting a few minutes ahead, it goes at right time...
Anyone help?

It's a bug affecting people in Australia and New Zealand. Apparently it is due to be fixed very soon in a firmware update.

My very new MBP 13" freezes. Not a software issue.

My brand new MBP (Lion) has a great time for a while, but then freezes with three alarms sounding.    (see pic - I also have video if people want to see.)
The Apple Care people "have not heard of such a thing", have been very helpful, but believing it to be a software compatibility problem, have given me some assorted solutions to try. They mean well.
I run Adobe CS5.5, Filemaker Pro 11, Microsoft Office 2011 and Firefox.
I have deleted StartUp items, (same result), in fact, almost every day I have had the computer home, this has happened.
I have backed up with Time Machine and erased the entire HD, downloaded and clean installed Lion.   Three and a bit Gig later, the same thing has happened, with no software installed except the Lion system software.
This is clearly NOT a software issue and I need a solution very soon. My company purchased this interstate.

That's the strange thing.   Trying to run the Apple Hardware Test after a reboot with 'D' pressed and it ignores the request.
Solution found.    It was bad RAM chips.
Chadstone Apple Store in Melbourne replaced the chips and turned it around for me in under 20 minutes.
Very impressed.   Running like a trooper now.   Thanks Apple. Confidence restored.

Noooo! Actually I too had d same prob wit my iPhone 4S. When I connect to my wifi network it won't get connected or it wil be grey scaled! I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!
