WCS 5.1: applying AP template fails

Yesterday we installed the new WCS version wih a customer, and they are now running into problems when applying a template.
When they change something in the AP configuration and try to save or apply, they get an error message telling them the they are not connected to the server. Even when doing this on the actual server instead of via a workstations browser.
Anyone encountered the same problem?

In //webnms/logs/tomcat_localhost_access_log.2008-08-07.txt
look for these kind of logs
10.10.1.1 - - [07/Aug/2008:11:22:54 +0200] "GET /webacs/lradTemplateActionForXml.do?%XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX2E66&enablePwd=xxxx&apPwd=xxxx&command=getPasswordValidity HTTP/1.1" 403 33199
For some reason, the webserver reply with HTTP error code 403 (Forbidden).
If it's the case, go to AP templates -> AP Parameters and uncheck "Override Global Username Password" and apply the template.

    Hi all
In administering this policy I am a little confused.
We have a policy that distributes proxy settings in the internet explorer maintenance settings section - however when opening this policy up in GPO editor the internet explorer maintenance section is not present.
I plan to apply the settings via User/preferences/control panel settings/ internet settings (or registry settings from article) however I am unable to edit the settings for internet explorer maintenance and these will persist. Ideas????

  • I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs. Why?

I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs (just a blank area where the SWF should be). When I detach the template it will play the flash file. This site will eventually be updated via Adobe Contribute. And I just discovered that when applying a template to a page that uses HTML datasets (Master/Detail),it no longer reads the Master/detail regions and displays a blank. Any thoughts?
[Moved to Dreamweaver forum by moderator]

Firstly, you shouldn't really 'apply' a template to a page, you should create a child page by going to FILE>NEW>Page from Template.  Too many things can happen when applying a template the way you are doing it. eg:; editable and non-editable regions not matching up and being asked where to place these regions and in all likelihood, you end up with 2 or more of the same region.
When a swf file is inserted into a page, a corresponding Scripts folder is written automatically is stored in the root of the site - it is also linked to in the head of the document. What I believe is happening is that when you apply a template to the page, the Template has no idea that there is a swf file on the page and is not aware of the correct link to the Scripts folder.  If you do a test and add the swf file to the template page itself, I bet that the links to the swf and the scripts folder are correct - because DW knows the correct path to the script file.   Hence the reason the page probably works when you detach it from a template.

  • Apply a template to a page with A LOT of Javascript

I am trying to apply a template to this
    page
for use in another website. When I do this, the javascript no
longer works. How do I work around this?
    Thanks,
    Melissa

    * Spawn a child from the template.
    * Copy content from this page and paste it into the new child
    page you just
spawned until you have completed the content.
    * Copy everything in the head of this page from the first
    <csactions> tag
down through the </csactiondict> tag, and paste it into
    the EDITABLE region
called "head" in the head of the page you just spawned.
    You should be fine now.

  • Applying a template to an existing document in Pages '09

Can you apply a template to an existing document that has no template?

    goldfilm,
Pages Templates can not be applied to existing documents in the way that you propose. They are basically sample documents.

  • How to apply a template to a page uploaded using sftp?

I would like to upload the .html document with the appropriate template using sftp instead of applying the template using BC's back end.

    Hi,
You cannot apply/assign a template to a page via sftp.  You'll need to action this via back-end or using DW.  Since you prefer not doing this in the back-end DW extension would be the alternative.

  • What is the best way to apply a template to the rebranded partner site?

My partner site got severely jacked up when I was brand new to BC.
Since then I've overwritten it in Muse while attempting to "try' it as well.
Apparently does some "cleaning" meaning the template files I once had access to in the templates folder got deleted. bleh.
Is there a quick way to apply another template I own to that site such as publishing a trial site and re-pointing dns or anything that direct and smart; or is the only way to do it a manual, one by one by one of files, modules, content holders and so on?

    Hey there,
If you want to access those partner site templates, layouts and everything else, here are some FTP details you can use:
    host: maxdesigncompany.businesscatalyst.com
    username: maxdesigncompany.businesscatalyst.com/[email protected]
    password: password
Feel free to log in through FTP and download the whole site. All the modules should work since the module IDs on your site will match those on this site.

  • Problem applying web template

We've recently upgraded from SharePoint 2010 to 2013. We created a new site under the 2013 environment then created a template from it. When we try to apply that template to a new site we get the following error:
    Problem applying web template
It then list the following features as not installed:
    List Feature
    Module Feature
    Web EventReceivers Feature
    Property Bag Feature
Here is a screenshot of the error
We haven't noticed any other issue up to this point. Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Bill

How many of those as solutions are from CodePlex? I think the property bag one is
    http://featureadmin.codeplex.com
It has a 2013 upgrade on
    http://pbs2013.codeplex.com
If its unclear what the other features these are, it may be worth running the feature manager. This will potentially enable you to identify and disable those solutions.  The link is

  • Applying a template

My manager asked me to "apply the latest template" to my RH project. The folder withthe "latest template" conains numerous project files including the CSS file. It contains the Language, ScreenLayout, SkinSubFolder, and the SSL folders.
I believe that simply saving these files and folders over my current project (replacing them) is sufficient for applying the template.
Am I right, or is there something else special I need to do in order to "apply" the template?
Another way to ask my question might be: Which elements of a RH project constitute "the template?"  The .css file and the Master Pages?
    RoboHelp 10, Windows 7
    Thanks!
    Stan

    Hi Stan
I think we need to clarify what is meant by "applying the latest template".
Is the person meaning to adjust the look and feel of the output? If so, those aspects are governed by the skin. The skin controls the visual aspects, such as the colors and icons used.
Master Pages typically govern whether or not a Header and/or Footer appear on whichever topics are associated with the Master Page.
CSS governs the look and feel of the text on the page as well as possibly the background image (if any).
So you really need to ask the manager what they mean by "applying the latest template".
    Cheers... Rick

  • The form template failed to load. IAssociation could not be found using criteria

    Hello,
I'm using the project used in  the "TechEd OSP309 Session" to integrate CRM 2011 with SharePoint 2010.
I successfully made the integration. I can create external lists in SharePoint, execute de CRUD operations and submit them to CRM. Also the entities relations are shown with the entity picker, this works 100%.
What i'm trying to do now is edit the form with InfoPath. The only thing I'm doing is opening the form in InfoPath, and publish it to SharePoint.
The problem occurs when trying to edit a item with the new form. I receive the folowing error:
"The form template failed to load. (User: XXXX, Form Name: Template, IP: , Request:XXX, Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:entity:-AutoGen-XXX, Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: IAssociation could not be found using criteria
    'Name=XXX'.
IAssociation could not be found using criteria 'Name=XXX'.). "
Any suggestion? What is causing this problem? This only happens in entities with reference to other entities.

When trying to view the InfoPath form for the a SharePoint list (on PWA), we are getting the error:
    Correlation ID:e40f2d85-dbe3-4659-9786-a9f69a406ec6.
    The event log shows:
The form template failed to load. (User: POET\dgreenwaldt, Form Name: Template, IP: , Request: http://stanzadev2/ResearchPWA/Lists/Project Economics/AllItems.aspx, Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:list:-AutoGen-2012-10-22T19:08:52:974Z, Type:
ArgumentException, Exception Message: Value does not fall within the expected range.)
The form worked perfectly fine for several days and then started throwing this error.
Since this started happening, it can now be reproduced in other lists using a custom InfoPath form, but only seems to occur when editing the item, not adding a new one.
    Steps:
    1. Create a custom list on PWA.
    2. Customize the form in InfoPath.
    3. Add a new item via the form (on PWA, not in InfoPath filler).
    4. Edit the item and the error occurs.
I have the same issue. do you have a resolution?

  • After applying a template to a page design view is blank - I can only edit in code view.

When I apply a template to a page everything is fine. I can see the page elements in design view and code view. I can edit the page and upload it and all is fine. However, when I save the page with a new name or close the page and then reopen the design view is empty, the code view is normal. I would like to be able to see the page in the design view and cannot. I don't know what to do. I hope someone has an idea for me. Thank you.
I am using DW CS5 and pages are ASP.

When you say "template" are you talking about the .dwt Template file from DW?
If so, you may be using it incorrectly. Once you create the .dwt, all of your new pages need to be created via File > New > Create Page From Template and then saved to your site. If you are using the .dwt file and doing "Save As" to create more pages, you're going to run into all sorts of problems.
Do you have a link we could look at?

  • Issues with applying Team Template to a Project

Hi All, thanks in advance for your help,
When I attach a Team Template to the Project, though no error is showing (except a confirmation page stating that a workflow process is running), i am not able to see it in the Project home notifications nor in the Scheduled People under Resources.
Appreciate any help to resolve this
    Regards,
    MM

Have you run the PA: Apply Team Template workflow process? This will trigger the application and notification, not actually performing the step you noted below.

  • Expand columns to available width when applying a template

    Hello!
I would like my report body to have identical margins on the left and the right. To achieve this, the columns in the report body should be expanded to fit the entire available width. What happens now is that in most cases there is some space left between the right side of the rightmost column an the rigth margin.
Is there a wat to let the report builder expand the columns so that they always fit exactly in the space available when you apply a template?
    Regards,

    Hi,
I guess this happens because ADDT uses it´s own CSS, which might override your overflow:visible.
All of ADDT´s CSS is located in the "includes/skins" directory BTW

  • Issue with Apply A Template

    Hi -
I have a template called index.dwt created for my site, below is the top code from the template.  I've created a new file called index.html and tried to apply index.dwt but somehow it's applying old code not in the template anymore.  I've removed any file that have that old code listed below, so I have no idea how the template is applying the old code that from what I can tell doesn't exist in a file anymore anywhere in site.  It almost seems like it's cached because I did a preview of the site in chrome but I've restarted my desktop and it still populates the old code.
    Template code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML>
