WCS image getting cropped

When I import a JPG image for a floor of a building, everything looks fine.  However, when I go to edit the floor to add walls etc, about 1/4 of the right side of the image is cropped off.  If I go back to Floor View, the image is restored to its original size.  The only way I can seem to "fix" the issue is to add a very large white area to the right side of the image.  That way the cropped area isn't needed anyways.  This stinks because I just made my image a lot larger and therefore I am zoomed out further to see the whole thing.  I have tried converting the image to different formats (gif, png) and have had no luck.  This only happens with image files from one of our buildings so I am wondering if it has to do with the dimensions of the building???  I'm running 6.0.181.0.   I have attached a sample image file to see if others may see the same issue.  The building dimensions are 472 x 262 if you are curious.
Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

I put your image into one my lab boxes and the image looks fine in Map Editor using Firefox but I see your issue in IE.  What browser are you using to view it?
I think I wrote a bug on this awhile ago but it appears to not have been fixed yet.

  • Some images get cropped upon upgrade to 3.1.  New Issue?

    I haven't seen this in the forums yet but my Aperture 3.1 upgrade has been cropping the images of one camera (Canon 50D) to the size of another camera (Nikon D70s) with a lower resolution. The result is the images show correctly in thumbnail view but upon switching view (V key) they come up initially as correct (not cropped) but then they crop to the smaller resolution almost immediately. None of the images in question have ever been cropped. This is all new.
    These images were fine before the 3.1 upgrade and the original images (JPG files) are intact. The D70s images are not affected, it is only the Canon 50D images that have the desire to be at the D70s resolution.
    Has anyone else seen this? Thanks in advance for any help.
    -Rob

    Hi Shuttersp33d:
    Hope this clarifies -- sorry for the confusion.
    Only a portion of the original image is showing (cropped). The images are cropped from the 50D resolution (4752 × 3168) down to the D70s resolution (3024 × 1998). It is not using the zoom function (Z key). It is like nothing I have ever seen while using Aperture and I have been using it for over 2 years on a near daily basis.
    The images in question behaved fine before the update to 3.1 and this behavior only started after the update. I will try to get a screen capture video of what is happening since I think it is clearly a bug and not just some unexpected or new behavior.
    Thanks for your help,
    Rob

  • Some photostream images getting cropped on ipad, but not mac?

    Not sure where to post this since it involves photostream behavior on Mac vs iPad?  So my apologies if this is misplaced.
    Recently some images that were imported into iPhoto on my Mac, and are automatically sent to Photostream, become cropped in photostream, or at least they appear to be cropped on both an iPad and on AppleTV 2nd gen, but look fine when viewing photostream on the Mac.  What's weird is the pic is cropped on the iPad, but it is the same size (pixels) as is indicated on the Mac of the original (1,488 x 1,011).  By "cropped" I mean that only a portion of the photo is visible (just wanted to clear that up since the pixel count seems to be the same, so not the conventional form of cropping).  Several pics behave this way, and they all seem to be ones that started life as scanned images of old prints, although not ALL of the scanned pics behave this way... only a few.
    The following description was copied from here:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486http://
    What resolution are My Photo Stream photos?
    On your Mac or PC, your photos are downloaded and stored in full resolution. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, your Photo Stream photos are delivered in a device-optimized resolution that speeds downloads and saves storage space. While actual dimensions will vary, an optimized version of a photo taken by a standard point-and-shoot camera will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution when pushed to your devices. Panoramic photos can be up to 50 pixels wide.
    Seems like it may be some bug with the 'optimization' process for the iPad / AppleTV?  Has anyone seen this before?
    Macbook Pro mid 2009, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2
    iPad 3
    AppleTV 2nd gen.

    No need to do a screen capture.  The cropped image in photostream on the iPad can be exported to the mac.  I ran some samples tonight. Pardon the content of the pic - it is a greeting card... no one i know.
    Scanned B&W and Color, in 3 resolutions:  150, 300, 600 dpi.
    I now see that the limits in attaching pics here is pretty restrictive, so i've put them into a smugmug album:
    http://daveyeager.smugmug.com/Other/Apple-photostream-bug/27709278_6Lrgjwhttp://
    note that the 150 and to a lesser extent, 300 dpi B&W scans are cropped (filenames are at the bottom of the image in the center), but all color scans look correct.
    The process was...
    scan on a Canon MX892 printer/scanner using Mac Image Capture in Mountain Lion,
    import the files into iPhoto on the Mac,
    put into photostream from iPhoto,
    go to the iPad and export them from iPhoto / photostream as files to iTunes,
    attach iPad to Mac to transfer the files to the Mac,
    upload to Smugmug.  (sounds worse than it is)

  • WCS Image Path In Server

    Hi all
    I have a wcs installed with Every thing functioning properly.I am trying to see the path on which the floor plan get stored in the server.
    I would like to know that "is it possible to take the floorplan from the server" or "where is the image get stored in the server while uploading maps".
    I had seen in webnms-->Map image folder.But the folder is empty.
    Regards
    Danish

    Hi Danish:
    The maps are stored under /webnms/webacs/images/domainmaps
    When WCS is stopped, yes, it would be possible to copy/paste those files from that directory to some other, but I wouldn't recommend removing them or doing this while WCS is live.
    Sincerely,

  • Still shots are getting cropped on playback in Premiere or export

    Not sure why, but when I import a bunch of png images they are getting cropped whey I try to play them or export them to a movie.  Any ideas why?

  • Images being cropped with camera motion

    not sure how to explain this, but as i progress in a video clip, the images become gradually cropped as the camera is moving. Best way to explain it is by showing a clip:
    http://spencerwsmith.com/video/tree%20sweep02%20090219b-sm.mov
    The camera is moving as the tree branches grow. Notice how the branch starts getting cropped on the right and left, then eventually disappears.

    hi,
    hard to say what's going on without seeing how the project is built, but it looks like the the layers are getting clipped in z space. It happens in my projects, that layers can get clipped in 3D space, when adding a filter or adding new elements to a layer. I find that often flattening a layer into 2D space will fix it. Note that you can still get 3Dness out of it by dropping a flattened 2d layer into a new layer and enabling 3D for that.

  • Images getting corrupted?

    Many of my images appear to be getting corrupted - and I do not know what is happening!
    When I look at a folder in the browser view all the images appear OK - but, when I try to open some of them into the viewer or split view then suddenly the image appears either half grey, all grey, distorted or with various colours streaked across.
    This is alarming - especially as the same thing is happening with images on my back up copy on another drive!
    There does not appear to be any logic to this - except that most are in the folders that I imported from iPhoto a long time ago.  But, it is also happening with some Aperture folders also.
    I have tried rebuilding the library (on both drives) but this did not resolve the problem.
    I am afraid to open any more thumbnails - can anyone please help????

    Hello Alan, sorry, I can't help - me too.
    Does this look familiar to you?
    I found several similarly corrupted versions in my library - all were images I cropped or straightened previously. The images looked o.k. when I imported them; I tagged them, used them in albums and web galleries, but when I cropped them recently, they started to disintegrate before my very eyes - really scary
    Since only my images marked with 5 ***** were effected* and these pictures are very valuable to me, I tried to restore the versions from the master files and found the masters corrupted too. It seems, I have always been viewing the previews generated by the camera, but the master files were corrupted from the beginning. And when I edit the images new previews are computed from the defective masters, and now the previews are also damaged.
    I tracked down the original masters from backup and found the backed up master files also cannot be displayed correctly  on any of my macs. For good measure I tried to display them on a Linux system and a Windows system, hoping for some weird bug in the Mac libraries, but no luck.
    What I did to save some of my images was to rescue the previews before any further editing was done. Then replace the damaged masters by the previews.
    And I bought new cards for my camera. Since the problem occured with three different cameras and the only common factor were the cards, I found it safer to use new cards. No more problems since then.

  • Picture used in Chapter portion of Theme getting cropped

    I am using one of the themes in iMovie. When I go to put a picture in the Chapter portion of the theme, the top portion of the picture is getting cropped off. This picture was taken vertically. A picture taken horizontally fits fine. If I try and constrain the size using iPhoto, the picture just gets larger and the heads of the people are still missing. How can I photos taken vertically to fit in the chapter theme without being cropped?

    Welcome to the discussion!
    iMovie lets us drag the image in the Drop Zone to move it left/right or up/down, depending on the Theme. (Place the mouse over the image in the Drop Zone and press the Option key. Drag the image.)

  • When i send a PDF via e-print, it gets cropped, is there a way to prevent this from happening?

    PDF's are printing fine when i print direct to the printer but when they are sent by e-mail they get cropped, is there a way to get the document to fit to page when sent as an email attachment?
    The Printer in question is a HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 color M551n, the printer is brand new installed last week so i don't know if this is the norm or not.
    Edit: Please can someone please explain how to correct this.

    If you're using a desktop or notebook PC to send the email you could try installing the HP ePrint Mobile Driver software on your machine, the link to the download is here. This will allow you to print the PDF to any ePrint capable printer without having to email it to the printers email address as an attachment.
    Once installed and with your PDF open on your machine, select Print from the File menu, then select "ePrint" from the list of available printers (don't select the actual printer itself) and click Print in the bottom right corner of the box. A dialogue box will open showing the avaialble ePrint printers you can print to. Click on the Connected button on the left of the screen to add your printer to the list if its not listed.
    Hope this helps.

  • I am unable to email an image from camera roll. the image gets "stuck". cannot input email address or subject line. am unable to cancel and go back to camera roll

    i am unable to email images from my camera roll. the image gets "stuck". cannot insert email address or subject line. cannot cancel... return to camera roll.
    what to do. i tries taking new picture and sending it in an email... same thing... gets "stuck "
    Waht to do ?

    Hello lohmann8,
    Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with emailing photos from the Camera Roll.
    The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    You can find the full article here:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Photos and Camera app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
    Restarting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    You can find the full article here:
    iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPhone:

    iTunes: Restoring iOS software

  • Problem with animated gif image getting displayed

    My problem is that my animated image does not get displayed properly. I am extending JButton and the button already contains a static image. I want to display the animated image over the static one for some reason. If I replace the animated image with a static gif, then there is no problem.
    Here is the code that I am using
    Icon anim = new ImageIcon((new ImageLoader()).getImage("/graphics/busy.gif"));
    // thread to call displayAnim method
    class ColorThread extends Thread {
    ColorThread() {
    public void run() {
    while (AnimFlag) {
    try {
    displayAnim();
    Thread.sleep(400);
    } catch (InterruptedException e) {
    public void displayAnim()
    repaint();
    public void paint(Graphics g)
    super.paint(g);
    int x=5;
    int y=0;
    if ( AnimFlag) {
    anim.paintIcon(this,g,x,y);

    This code is working fine for JRE 1.2 and the animation is displayed. The problem is with JRE 1.3. when there is no animation, neither is there any image getting displayed.

  • Where is the tool to select a portion of an image to crop?

    I am new to PS cc 2014.  Where is the tool to select a potion of an image to crop?

    You'll find the Crop Tool on the Toolbar.  It might be behind the Slice or Perspective Crop tool.

    A small triangle on the tool icons denotes that other tools are located below.

  • Print Image gets consistently smaller

    Here's a glitch that I can reproduce consistently. If someone has a fix for this (or if this is just a problem on my computer), please let me know. In order to reproduce this, it might help to have multiple printer drivers that you can switch to, although you can do it just by going back and forth between a printer driver and the "Print as PDF" function.
    Open a new page in Pages. Write a word or anything. Highlight some section of it, and insert a comment. Then try to print the page with the comment showing. I find that every time I switch from the default printer that shows up to another one, the image gets smaller and smaller until finally, the page i wanted to print is the size of a thumbnail. This happens even if I switch to "Print as PDF" (I tried this to see if I could bypass the problem and print from a PDF file, but alas).
    If anyone else experiences this and have a fix for it, let me know. (Or let me know if I'm the only one.)
    gy

    You are not alone! I have the same weird problem. In any Pages doc when I highlight/comment on any item (comment appears in grey side bar in doc) and then go to print the page - every time I click any print parameter (page selection/page size/printer etc) in the print dialogue box - it halves the size of the doc in the preview window... and prints it that size! So if I click enough print items, the preview gets so small that my doc is reduced to a dot! This is very annoying! I had to resort to (a) printing an entire 48 page doc to get two 'commented' pages, or taking a screen snapshot and printing from that.
    This is most def a bug.

  • Why are my Illustrator images getting thicker strokes when I take the bounding box and make them smaller?

    Why are my Illustrator images getting thicker strokes when I take the bounding box and make them smaller? This has never happened to me. I'm not an expert at Illustrator, but I do know some fundamentals.

    Thank you for responding so quickly. No apologies necessary - I know this Forum isn't McDonalds - don't expect an answer to be served up right away. You helped me out with a big issue yesterday.
    I am using a mac - OSX 10.7.5
    I have Adobe Creative Suites - CS5 - Illustrator version is 15.0.2
    The contents I am placing are all  Vector - Illustrator files
    But, I wonder about some of the vector files I work with.  Could a "line weight/thickness" be 'assigned' to the drawing and screw things up? I used 'simple' linear (line) drawings from SolidWorks that have been converted to ai files. It's just weird because I checked the stroke of the drawing and it's not out of line.
    I am attaching part of some box labels. You can see how the drawings, of the products, on the 'left side' are "thick" after embedding them. I think the "Global Logo" was pasted into a template not linked that's why it's okay. But look at the Quiet Thunder logo - it looks terrible. These labels are only 2.25" X 6.5", so its important I keep the images lightweight.
    Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you!
