WCS not graphing CleanAir Interferers

I have WCS managing 4 controllers. 1 of which has clean air enabled. WCS gives air quality reports just fine, but it gives me no information on the Device Interferers or the Interferer count. I can go to the controller, go to monitor>cleanair and look at the APs that find interferers and then graph the data to show bluetooth, microwaves, continuous transmitters etc, but why is this info not seen in WCS?

Wcs not starting up after upgrade

I recently upgraded the cisco wcs software from 5.0.56.2 to 5.2.148 in order to eventually upgrade it to the latest version 7.0, after installing the software it fails to start WCS, i rebooted the server already and restarted the services i ran dbadmin checkschema and it completed fine but when it just hangs when starting wcs
here is what i get

just a thought i see that it doesn't actually remove verison 5.0.56.2 when i installed version 5.2.148 and im wondering if this isn't causing some issues with WCS not starting

Health Monitor is running with an error.
WCS is stopped.
Database server is running
Apache server is running
but if i start wcs from programs it tells me health monitor is already running.
i created a backup of wcs using the backup feature and saved it so im not sure if i should just uninstall and reinstall at this point and see what happens or not

AP mesh info in WCS not show bridge links.

I would like to know if any of you following problem has occurred. I have implemented 3 wireless mesh with 1262 AP WLC 5508 v 7.0.116.0 and WCS 7.0.172.0 base lic, all has been running perfect, the problem arises when I want to see on the map graphically bridge links, I have enabled AP Messh info but it not shows the bridge links, in hierarchical Mesh Parent-Child View only shows the RAP. To load the maps we used Campus> Outdoor area> AP.
I will appreciate any comments.

Are you loading 4.0? With WCS 4.x you need to generate a license with the PAK you should have received from Cisco. If you did not receive a PAK, read the following excerpt from the following url:
Existing Cisco WCS customers that have not received their PAK certificate from Cisco should contact their Cisco sales representative or send an e-mail to the [email protected] alias to notify Cisco that they need their PAK certificate. Cisco will attempt to respond to requests to this alias within 48 hours Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM Pacific Standard Time.

WCS not showing AP type or antenna choices

When I look at the config for some of my AP's they are showing under the Inventory Information AP Type Unknown. Also, when I go the radio interface for b/g and try to change the external antenna from Other to the 5959 antenna, there is no antenna's listed at all.
I looked at other AP's that are working and they show AP Type as LWAPP and have all the antenna choices listed as well.
The WLC version is 4.2.112 and the WCS version is 4.2.81.
I found this problem after changing some of the AP's to manually set the channel assignment. I then went to look at the heat map for all the AP's in one building and nothing shows up, just the AP's with no color heat map. I did reset the AP's with no change.

Was not seeing any error messages. I was just not able to get the heat map to generate. Also, I could not choose the correct antenna that was connected to the AP because the AP type was showing up wrong.

WCS not synchronising with WLC automatically

HI Experts .
I have 5508 WLC with 7.0.98.0 software version and WCS with 7.0.172.0 version .
I have a problem of synchronisation of the configs . Automatic sync is not working .I have scheduled the synchronisation but the same is getting failed .
But if i try to do the sync manually it is working .
Can anyoe please help me to know what can be the cause of the issue .

WCS not starting

I have just encountered an error on a WCS I look after.
The WCS is running on a Windows 2003 server, I went to log in yesterday and got an Apache error saying "Service Temporarily Unavailable"
I suspected some work was probably being done on server so did not pursue the matter, however on checking again today I got same issue.
I noticed that the WCS services was not running so started it using the StartWCS.exe, Apache started fine but I got an error to say the WCS could not start and to check the hm_logsout.txt
I checked the hm_logsout.text and it appears that the WCS could not start because of the following :
Starting Health Monitor as a primary
Checking for Port 8082 availability... OK
Key entry exists; Update Apache config from Keystore
Configuring Apache server for key
Could not generate RSA key for SSL.
I have never encountered this error before, I have tried looking for some info on the error but so far I cant find anything related to this
Has anyone else encountered this problem or could someone point me in the right direction of where to find the relevant information :

Yes, rebooting the server was one of first steps I tried, especially since I think an update or some maintenance on the server may have caused the issue

Interesting link, I had thought of doing a re-install but I want to try to see if I can resolve/fix the issue in-case it happens again, since I dont know what has caused the problem, while a re-install should fix, I am concerned that it might not.
I found some info on re-generating the certificates, I tried this but still no joy.

How to do NOT graph value cero

I have a table with several lines i need to graph it but it has several lines with cero value. I do not want that lines to show in the graph, so it does not take space in the graph. When i graph them it is not good. I just want to grpah Any suggestions ?

Hi,
As per your screen seems it cannot be done. A row will be filtered if you have a specific key figure which you dont want to see the zero values then you can use a block filter to restrict.But Your screen has measure or dimension values for each column somewhere in top or bottom rows not equal to zero.
Supressing zero's will only work when you have all the keyfigures in a row are zero's.
Conditional hiding will hide the whole table instead of row if the condition is true.

Health app not graphing data points.

I have been playing around with the new Health app recently. I do not use any third party apps for Health, but I am running iOS 8.0.2 anyway. So far, I have plotted 4 points on the sleep monitor, for example. I can press Show All Data to see the individual sleep and wake times I inputted, but they are not showing up graphically as the data "Points" that I wanted to add. Instead, the graph (which I added to Dashboard) just says No Data.

I have the identical problem with the Walking/Running Distance App in Health. If I manually enter that I walked 1.75 miles it is 50/50 whether that shows up on the graph. This makes the walking distance data useless if one doesn't want to wear the iPhone while walking.

Notes, taking notes, graphing, audio recordings, etc

Is there a good to great note taking app for mac os? Something that makes it easy to do quick graphs and record audio and add text notes with the keyboard... dream app for a student is what I'm after, and, no, Curio and Jarnal are not it. Thanks.

The Windows version of Office 2004 has this application called One Note. On the MacOSX Office 2004, you can open Word and switch to View / Notebook Layout, which is similar in functionality to One Note.
Then, there are apps from www.omnigroup.com They were once bundled with Tiger on Powerbooks (at least).

WCS not showing heatmaps correctly.

I have just installed the latest version of WCS 4.0.66.0 and I have 14 1131 APs running on a 4402 WLC. WCS is only showing heatmap for one AP and the rest are just green showing being up. I have removed all APs and removed the floor plan as well, and started all over from scratch with exactly the same result. Has anyone run into this problem?

There's a bug (CSCse83815) that causes APs to have their antenna types stored incorrectly. They claim to be what you expect when you hover over them, but something in the back end is broken.
You have to go to the AP placement menu, change all the antennas (b/g and a) of affected APs to "other", save, go back, and change them back to what they're supposed to be, save, and then the heatmap should appear correctly.
This happens with almost every AP we install and is really annoying. It shows currently up as "verified" so hopefully it gets eventually fixed.

WCS not working

After having some server issue (firmware update needed for the chassis it was sitting in) I'm now having a problem starting the WCS (version 6.0.132.0) When I run it, it just says:

DbMonitor.sendAdminCommand: shutdown force - [Solid JDBC 04.50.0150] Invalid authorization specification
Failed to start WCS. Check hm_launchout.txt for details.
Log files are located under webnms\logs in the WCS install directory.
I looked at the lhm_launchout.txt log and that just says:

Checking for Port 8082 availability... OK
Starting Health Montior Web Server...
Health Monitor Web Server Started.
Starting Health Monitor Server...
Health Monitor Server Started.
I can ping the ip address from another pc and able to ping out from the WCS server.
The Cisco Wireless Control System and Nms_Apache services appear to be working, the only error in the event viewer seems to be for apache:

At the moment, whenever I try to get to the WCS site I'm getting

WCS not Emailing Alarms

Hi everyone,
I have been using WCS to monitor the wireless environement and to email me when a failure occurs. I noticed that the emails have stopped being sent out for any alarm. The mail relay is still working correctly and test emails work fine. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Hi,
Never got the issue. But you can check the email account on the server.
You can also try remove config from WCS and do it again.
Was there any config the network lately that could cause this issue?

WCS:- Not able to add user , Getting error while doing it.

I tried to add new user (user1) and assigned it to user defined group, which has some permitions .. but when logged with this user try to use a user define template (name: tempt- configure-> Access Point Template), I receives error: "Failed to contact server. Please make sure you are logged in....".
the template can be used only from root account.
additionaly even when try to "Search APs" from "Last Applied APs" and then go to "By Floor Area" with this user receive the seme error..
Could some one help me on this plz.

if could you please attach a screenshot of the permissions you're trying to set for the user, i think that would be helpful...So, just to be sure, you're making this user a part of the custom group, and that group has "location server" checked? My guess is that since you're probably setting something in that template that has to do with the location server being updated, that's why without it being checked you're getting an error!

Erroneous time in graphs in output cluster

I have an application that reads a binary file and then displays, analyzes and presents the data in charts and indicators. The 'main' application is "06_ATP_Read and Analyze SubVIs.vi" with the "04_ATP_Read.vi" and "05_ATP_Analyze & Present Data.vi" subvis.
The application with the problem is called "05_ATP_Analyze & Present Data.vi" and it is in the attached file. It was built on the LabView Basics II example.
Everything works fine except in the graphs from the output cluster the time values are 5000 times bigger than the real ones displayed or selected in data graphs at the left of the cluster. The 5000 times value is exactly the sampling rate I am using (5kHz) but I am not sure if this is related because I am not sure where is the problem coming for. My feeling is that the feedback node is causing the problem but, again, I'm not sure.
What could I do to make things right? Any suggestions/examples anybody?

I think I got the idea but how would I implement this in my vi? I tried a couple of connections and the attached file presents some of them. Look in 05_ATP_Analyze & Present Data.vi, in case structure 0.
Another problem is that the sampling rate might vary from file to file and I will not know it before opening the file. I need some kind of automatic reading of sampling rate rather than manual insertion.
This vi is very similar to the exercise from LabView Basics II and there I did not have to put any additional 'build waveform' components to make it work; probably because there was a chart and not graphs, I don't remember right now... Any way, the idea with the cluster is that it helps me to easily save processed data in one file. I'd like to stay with this solution only if there is nothing better that you or somebody else can suggest.
Could you show me how would I implement the 'build waveform' in my vi?

Transparent Graph in Reports 10g

Hi everybody,
Can you tell me how can I create graph with transparent background? Yes, of course I read Graph faq (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/htdocs/faq/graph_faq_with_style.html#q31) but I need create graph with transparent background and not graph with image in background....

I got this to work in the web layout. First, I modified the <BODY ...> tag to include a background image. Then I added the following code to the Web Source right before the </BODY> tag:
<rw:graph id="graph" src="G_1" series="dname" dataValues="deptno">

</rw:graph>The graph is transparent and the background image shows through it.
In the Paper Layout, this doesn't work - the transparent areas of the graph are black.
