  • WCS Showing one client associated to two AP´s

    Hello,
    I´m working on a wireless project that uses some LAP´s 1250, 3 controllers 5508 and a WCS software to manage everything. In one of the areas there are a lot of users, around 90, this area has 6 LAP´s. Some of those clients frequently migrate from one AP to the other. When this happens the WCS shows that client is associated with two AP´s. But when I check the clients list on the controllers, the client is only at one LAP. We are using WCS Version  6.0.181.0. Do you have any problem link this? Is it a WCS bug?
    regards,
    Felipe

    I haven't run into this issue.  This is just a guess but I'm wondering if the client association information is just delayed between WCS and the WLC after a client roams.  You could check the client history and see the amount of time the client was associated to each access point and try to figure out what is going on.

    Hi,
    One of the user in exchange 2010 - outlook 2010 environment, in sent items email from address shows as invalid address after sent emails to recipients. Recipients are successfully received the emails. however, why the invalid address appearing in sent items

    Hi,
    As what ManU Philip says, please check the issue in OWA firstly and try setting changes in Outlook.
    Additionally, I noticed that there is an On Behalf Of in your post. If the issue is also the same on OWA, We can use the following command to check whether the user have Send on Behalf
    permission on “/O=FIRST ORGANIZATION/OU…”:
    Send On Behalf:
    Get-Mailbox -Resultsize Unlimited | ?{$_.GrantSendOnBehalfTo} | select Name,GrantSendOnBehalfTo
    Please try to remove these rights and restart Outlook to check the issue existing.
    If all of the above fails, Please collect the error logs in Event Viewer and post here. I would like to help you any time.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Winnie Liang

  • WCS and Guest IP addresses

    Hi,
    I have both corporate and guest WLANs available, the corporate infrastructure is 2 x WiSM modules with guest access via a 4402 anchort point controller.  When I view client connections in WCS, I see the DHCP address all corporate users have been allocated, but all guest users show up with IP address 0.0.0.0.  The guest users are allocated a DHCP address via a local pool defined on the anchor point controller.
    Is there any way I can see the IP address of each guest user?
    Many thanks
    Liam

    Hi,
    Clients get DHCP adderss no problem from local pool configured on anchor point controller.  The issue I am facing is that this IP information is not tunnelled through to WiSM module - if I check client details on anchor controller, it shows the IP address allocated to each user.  When I check same info on WiSM controller, it shows every IP address for guest access user as 0.0.0.0.
    For reporting and troubleshooting purposes I am wondering if the correct IP information can be shown.
    Regards
    Liam

  • I am automating the process of sending appointment reminders to my clients. I started with an alert with an email in calendar using the clients email address as a custom entry in my me card in my contacts. this was resulting in three emails being sent wit

    I am automating the process of sending appointment reminders to my clients. I started with an alert with an email in calendar using the clients email address as a custom entry in my me card in my contacts. this was resulting in three emails being sent with slightly different versions of the same address (see my previous post). Heating someone else's suggestion I created a workflow file to send an email and calling that file from an alert on my calendar. This is working and sends only one email to the client.
    My calendar is on I cloud and I access it from three different computers so I can keep my appointment calendar current. The files that send the email only exist on one computer. My other computers show error messages when those emails get sent. It seems that each computer wants to send the email. It's a small problem but is there a way that I could not get those alerts.
    But appreciate any thoughts about this. It seems like both problems might be related to the iCloud system.
    Thank you in advance,
    Michael

    Good work, catch so far Michael, does seem to be a "feature" of iCloud syncing, not sure what you could do to disable it.

  • How to change the default BC image that shows in the address bar?

    Does anyone know how to change the default BC image that shows in the address bar? I want to swap it out so the client logo shows next to their URL.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    If you are trying to change the favicon for your site,
    You can do it from Site Manager-> Page template -> Default Template
    Look for the code   <link type="image/x-icon" href="/Path for your image" rel="icon" />, and Click save.
    Now where you will use this template, it will display your favicon for that webpage instead of BC favicon. You can define it on Page directly if you are not going to use template.
    Please let me know if you have any doubt.

  • MSE Not Showing Clients After Upgrade to 7.6.100.0

    I've upgraded our 5508 WLC's to ver 7.6.100.0.  I've also upgraded our NCS to 2.0, and our MSE to 7.6.100.0.  I now can no longer see clients on the MSE map for our sites.  I've added the WLC to the MSE syncronization.  When I select "show clients" it says 0 of 0 found.  I know I have clients connected, since I can see them in the WLC.  Is this a licensing issue?  Thanks for your help!

    Make sure that NMSP is up.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9742/products_tech_note09186a0080bb497f.shtml#add-va-ncs
    On WLC console, use the show auth-list command.
    The following example shows from WLC console that there is no location server available:
    In order to manually add the MSE and establish a NMSP connection to WLC, complete these steps:
    On the MSE console, run the cmdshell command, and then the show server-auth-info command.
    This example shows the MAC address and the keyhash to be used for adding to the WLC.
    Run the config auth-list add ssc command, and then run the show auth-list.
    This example shows that the MSE was added to the WLC (manually).
    On the NCS, confirm that the NMSP connection shows Active.

  • Linux client MAC address getting failure (Mr. Francois)

    Hi Mr.Francois
    I am using your client information form. Thank you.
    But in Linux client
    shows
    IP & MAC addresses are blank
    Any idea !
    Regards

    Because you did not provide details about which Forms version or client platform you are using it will be difficult to offer specifics. However, if you are using Forms 10.1.2.3 or newer, I would recommend trying to run the WebUtil demo form as it includes functionality to capture the client details. You can download the WebUtil demo from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html
    It is listed under Forms 11g Demos, but the WebUtil demo is compatible with version 10 and newer. If you have never used this demo (or WebUtil) before, be aware that some features only work on Windows clients. Additionally, some features only work on Windows (32bit) clients.

  • Cisco WLC Client MAC address backup to new Controller & ISE

    Hi All,
    We have an existing 4400 controller with MAC filtering for clients configured. Right Now, we are migrating to 5500 WLC and ISE setup.
    We want to use MAC filtering due to company policies on the new Controller as well as ISE.
    Is there a way (from GUI/CLI) that we can export the client MAC Addresses into an Excel file from existing WLC to new WLC & ISE?
    Thanks,
    CJ

    On the CLI issue a show macfilter summary and then import that into excel or a text editor.

    If you experience any problems with CCX Layer 2 client roaming, enter this command:
    debug l2roam [detail | error | packet | all] {enable | disable}

  • Capture Client IP address in Oracle Portal

    Hi,
    I just thought to post the solution I figured out which I can't find anywhere.
    The instructions should allow you to add the dynamic page portlet to a page to see the client ip address:
    1. Login to Portal as an admin.
    2. Click on the Navigator link.
    3. Create a new page group.
    4. Create a new page within the page group.
    5. In the page region, click on the add portlet icon.
    6. In the Available Portlets, click on Portlet Builders > Additional Portlet Builders > Dynamic Page Portlet
    7. This will place the Dynamic Page Portlet on the page. You can then click on Define to customize the dynamic page.
    8. In the HTML section of the dyamic page portlet wizard (after clicking define and giving it a name), enter code like the following:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Welcome User</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <ORACLE>DECLARE
    l_curr_cgi_ip varchar2(30) := owa_util.get_cgi_env('remote_addr') ;
    l_curr_ip varchar2(30) := portal.wwctx_api.get_ip_address;
    BEGIN
    htp.p('<H3>OWA_UTIL.GET_CGI_ENV returns =>' || l_curr_cgi_ip || '</H3>');
    htp.p('<H3>WWCTX_API.GET_IP_ADDRESS returns =>' || l_curr_ip || '</H3>');
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    9. Finish the wizard (you can take defaults).
    10. Display the page. The portlet should have the information.
    ==========
    Otherwise you can create a dynamic page under a provider:
    1. Login to Portal as an admin.
    2. Click on the Navigator link.
    3. Click on the Provider tab.
    4. Click on Locally Built Providers.
    5. Click on Example Application db provider (this is a sample).
    6. Once you click on the Example Application, it will list some of the default forms, reports, etc... At the top, there is the following:
    Create New... Create New...Form, Create New...Report, Create New...Chart, Create New...Calendar, Create New...Dynamic Page, Create New...XML Component, Create New...Hierarchy, Create New...Menu, Create New...URL, Create New...Frame Driver, Create New...Link, Create New...List of Values, Create New...Data Component
    Click on dynamic page.
    7. Give it a name and click next.
    8. Replace the sample HTML with:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Welcome User</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <ORACLE>DECLARE
    l_curr_cgi_ip varchar2(30) := owa_util.get_cgi_env('remote_addr') ;
    l_curr_ip varchar2(30) := portal.wwctx_api.get_ip_address;
    BEGIN
    htp.p('<H3>OWA_UTIL.GET_CGI_ENV returns =>' || l_curr_cgi_ip || '</H3>');
    htp.p('<H3>WWCTX_API.GET_IP_ADDRESS returns =>' || l_curr_ip || '</H3>');
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    9. Finish the wizard. This should show the portlet and the value. You can then add this portlet to a page.
    Note: portal.wwctx_api.get_ip_address will fetch your read client IP address.
    If the page you uses a UI template, you might get Error WWC-50003 When Clicking On The Portlet Define Link
    Then you have to add #PAGE.BASE# in the <HEAD> of the template and you can define the dynamic page portlet.
    It is tricky to pass the IP address inside the code, I solved the issue with the help of JavaScript.
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>Welcome User</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <ORACLE>
    DECLARE
    l_curr_ip varchar2(30) := portal.wwctx_api.get_ip_address;
    BEGIN
    htp.p('<script type="text/javascript">');
    htp.p('ipClient(''' || l_curr_ip || ''');');
    htp.p('</script>');
    END;
    </ORACLE>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    I delared a hidden variable in the portlet I need the IP address & have set that value i the javascript function which I call in between <oracle></oracle>
    function ipClient(ipAddr){
    document.getElementById('clientIP').value = ipAddr;
    Once I set the variable I can easily get it any where.
    Hope this helps to solve your issue.

  • Install PT8.53 with Linux Issue: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password

    Folks,
    Hello.
    I am installing PeopleTools 8.53 with Oracle Database Server 11gR1 and OS Oracle Linux 5.10.
    Data Mover Bootstrap and Application Designer can log into Database instance successfully. My procedure to run PIA is below:
    Step 1: start Oracle Database Server and LISTENR is listening.
    Step 2: start Application Server ./psadmin and 8 processes are started.
    Step 3: start WebLogic Server PIA /opt/PT8.53/webserv/PT853/bin/startPIA.sh
    In Browser, http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html comes up successfully. But when sign in using UserID PSADMIN and password "myname", I get the error message in Browser as below:
    The application server is down at this time.
    CHECK APPSERVER LOGS. THE SITE BOOTED WITH INTERNAL DEFAULT SETTINGS, BECAUSE OF: bea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session
    We've detected that your operating system is not supported by this website. For best results, use one of the following operating systems:

    I think the error is indicated in TUXLOG file "ERROR: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password". The application password "myname" in Browser http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html page is not working. I use the same password "myname" to login Data Mover Bootstrap mode, Application Designer, and Application Server psadmin configuration successfully. I have tried a few other passwords in Browser http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html page but not working.
    My question is:
    How to solve Sign In issue on http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html that is "ERROR: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password" ?
    Thanks.

    Dear Nicolas,
    Hello. I have used the same password for "DomainConnectPswd" in the file Configuration.properties with that for Application Server setting. Eventually, UserID PSADMIN sign in http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html successfully. PeopleTools 8.53 runs correctly in Browser.
    It seems that whether upgrade Oracle Linux 5.0 to the latest 5.10 does not have effect !
    I am very grateful to your great help for this installation of PT8.53 with Linux and Oracle Database !

  • I can not delete my history and adding new bookmarks. Upgrading to later Firefox versions and/or re-installing didn't help. The address bar still shows the web addresses of old and whenever I make new bookmarks, it's always gone as if it was never made.

    I can not delete my history and adding new bookmarks.
    Upgrading to later Firefox versions and/or re-installing didn't rectify it either.
    The address bar still shows the web addresses of old and whenever I make new bookmarks, it's always gone as if it was never made.
    Also, I have noticed that every once in awhile you can not close tabs you've opened, either by pushing on the X button and/or clicking on the mouse to close it. Although closing the window and opening it again (without closing the Firefox application) seemed to rectify the problem in the short term, it's becoming quite annoying.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == the Firefox is being used

    I think I have a solution.
    First, download the add-on SQManager. This should be included with FireFox, it is really good.
    Look for the file '''moz_hosts''' in the folder '''places.sqlite'''.
    Don't delete the file, just delete the information in the file. My file has over 3600 websites, which go back years!! I did not know they were there, but I was frustrated about not being able to get rid of them. They popped up every time I used the address bar. Clearing my history would not get rid of them.
    This is where they are stored!! I found that by deleting the pesky web site from '''moz_hosts''', it does not appear in my address bar anymore!!!
    I think that if I just delete all the websites in moz_hosts....
    Wa-la...History Gone!!!
    As long as you don't delete the file, just empty it, FireFox won't know the difference. It will just keep adding websites to it until you empty it again.
    Why running "clear recent history" doesn't do this, I don't know. You are doing manually what "clear recent history" is not doing.
    Please tell me if you see any flaw in this.

  • Iphone 4 showing wrong IP address for home wireless

    2 days ago we reset our home wireless password and updated our devices (ipad, laptop, and two cell phones). Now my iphone 4 will no longer connet to the wireless. It accepts the new password to join the network but it never connects. It is showing wrong IP address. How can I change it to the correct IP ? Tried hard rest, forget network, and renew lease all trying to get it to automatically update the info. Out of ideas. Any suggestions?

    I have the exact same router as you, I have Comcast, and I am having the exact same INFURIATING problem.
    Comcast and Apple have no ideas. Linksys tells me I am having a router problem.
    I even went so far as to buy a new router and modem from Linksys (as they claim they no longer make the router/modem combo because it doesn't work well). I still don't buy this... my PC, my PS3, my DS... all of them connect to the router perfectly.
    I have the new modem and router here and planned to give that a whirl tonight but Comcast was being difficult and saying it could take 72 hours to activate my new modem. Totally unsat. I had them reconnect the WCG200 and I am still trouble shooting to no avail...
    If anyone finds a fix (short of a new router and new modem)... please post!
