WD Abap - Layouts
hi folks,
i want to set a default layout - which i have stored via settings befor - at start of alv output in a web-ALV abap program, i'm sure it is possible but i did not find the relevant documentation about how to do that?
any hints are welcome ,

In the ALV settings choose the properties button against the view and choose 'Initial View' Checkbox. That should make your view (layout) the default.

N4S: Web Dynpro for ABAP layout editor not working
Have problem in Layout editor in Web Dynpro for ABAP
I have installed NW04S Testdrive on 64bit Linux and able to login.
SE80 is working alright.
Next I create a Web Dynpro Comp. / Intf. and create a component.
I double click on the View name "V_Default" . The Layout editor opens on the right side. Change into Edit Mode.
The "View Elements" panel on the left side of layout editor is missing. This is where we select the various elements like "Textview" etc.
Even the right click on the "ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER" to insert elements using context menu does not work.
In summary I am not able to add any element in WD4A Layout screen.
Is there any special plugin required to be installed?
How to solve this problem?you cannot develope Webdynpro for ABAP using ECC5
This is available with netweaver 2004s (WAS7.0) for which ramp up is going on right now and the general availability is expected sometime around 1st quarter for 2006.

WebDynpro ABAP layout doesn't work through SAPRouter
Hello Everyone
I am new in the Web Dynpro ABAP environment.
When I am at the office, I can use SE80 to develop a web dynpro abap program. I can see the layout of the views,
But when I am outside of the office an want to work through SAPRouter I cannot see the layout of the views.
I am obtaining the following eror:
This Program cannot display the web page.
Any idea why through SAPRouter it doesn't work? And what to do to make it work?

dstjYour problem has to do with FQDN (full qualified domain name).
SAP uses system parameter icm/host_name_full to determine the full qualified domain name for your webdynpro applications.
If this parameter is not set, SAP queries the operating system for the FQDN.
To check if this parameter is defined right, use SAP transaction SICF:
1) Execute transaction SICF;
2) Click the execute button (F8 key);
3) Choose menu path Goto --> ICM Monitor;
4) Choose menu path Goto --> Parameters --> Display.
In the list that will be shown, look for parameter icm/host_name_full (use the binoculars to find it). This parameter should be at the end of the parameter list. If this parameter does not exist or if its contents is not a FQDN, then you are in trouble accessing all websynpro funcionalities from outside of your network.
In this case you should change this parameter to reflect a FQDN (full qualified domain name).
To change this parameter:
1) Execute transaction RZ10;
2) Enter the profile name of the active instance (click F4 to get all possible values. There shouldn't have many. Choose the one which is an instance profile and that is named after your system name and/or system ID);
3) Click on the Extended maintenance radio button on the Edit profile group below profile name and click on the Change button;
4) If the icm/host_name_full parameter is already there, change its value to the FQDN of your network. If the parameter is not there, click on the create parameter button on the toolbar, type the paramter name (icm/host_name_full) and its value (which should be the FQDN of your network);
5) Finally, keep clicking the back (F3) key untill the system tells you that the modifications are not saved and asks if you want to save them. Answer YES.
Now, AFTER RESTARTING YOUR SAP APPLICATION SERVER, the access to all webdynpro functionalities in SE80 should work without requiring a modification of your windows HOSTS file.
REMEMBER: YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTART YOUR SAP APPLICATION SERVER FOR THESE CHANGES TO WORK!!!

Missing toolbar in WebDynpro for ABAP Layout Editor
Hello all .
when creating a view on the layout screen, I have the toolbar missing (the one with the favorites, Active components, Adobe and so on... ).
Did anyone experience that problem? How can I make this toolbar shown?

Which EHP do you mean because we're doing currently an RampUp with SAP EHP3 for ERP 6.0?

Webdynpro ABAP layouteditor:Can't drag&drop UIelements from toolbar to view

i have a problem with the Webdynpro for ABAP layout editor in SE80. When i'm editing a view, i see the UI elemnts toolbar, but i cannot "drag&drop" any elemet of the toolbar to the view, it'S only possible to add elements using right click on rootuielementcontainer.
Does anybody has an idea what could be wrong?
I have SAP Netweaver Release 702 SP 8 and using SAP GUI 710 (Level 22).

Increase the length of the Customer Name in LIS reports follow this:
T-Code - MCTA - Click on the Button User Settings. The system would prompt your user name, select & proceed.
Now click on the Parameters Button. Here you have options like:
Key - for displaying only Customer code
Description - for Displaying only Customer Name
Key & Description - for Displaying both Customer Code & Name.
Select the required option.
Also there is a selection for Column widh:
Character Column & Key figures column. Here you can increase the width as per your reuirement for display full Customer name.

I've been searching for this but can't seem to find it. I made an AIF which has one import parameter. How can I call the AIF after a button click and pass the parameter in Web Dynpro?hi,
You can have same atttribute in context node and use the same context node in Import of the Adobe Forms' Context.
1.Create the Adobe form.
2. Use the Form in InteractiveForm UI in WD ABAP layout.
3. Make the Interactive Form UI invisible by default .
4. On the click of button, make the Interactive form visible.
5. Values entered in Input field will automatically be passed to Form if you use the same context node for creating Forms.

ABAP Dump while Changing the Layout fields in Report output - RCOPCA02
Hi,
I Copied the Standard Program RCOPCA02 to ZRCOPCA02. I added two new fields(AUART, AUGRU) in the report output. It is executing correctly with default layout, While Changing the layout for displaying new fields it is dumping.
I am not understanding, What should i do...

We have upgraded the SAP HR system from ECC6.3 to ECC6.4 and netweaver from 7.0 to 7.1 .
Following are the list of error in EHP4 system ,

I resolve this problem by deploying mime object by program in R/3 , so that i can able to view layout .
But still application is not displayed it shows error like
1) 'UCF_LoadingPlaceHolder' is undefinged by testing through R/3 and starting view is not opened .
2) 'UCF_Image' is undefined by testing through portal but starting view is opened here .
3) while navigating from one view to any view or window is not possible , it gives error
4) When I navigate from one view to other .

The error occurred on the application server RELSRMSR2_D36_00 and in the work process 0 .

Blank Layout in Web dynpro ABAP
Hi Experts,
We have configured Web dynpro ABAP in our server and activated all relevant services in SICF.
But, we face a problem where layout is invisible and the ouput is appearing when we test the application.

Yes you can make it global in administrative level.
1.In SE80 ,Double click on the name of your Web Dynpro Application .
2.Select Web Dynpro Application Menu .
3.Select Test->-> Execute in Administrative Mode from the menu.
Your application opens in administrative mode .
Go to the ALV settings make the changes and save it as some variant.
This layout will be default and global to all the users.

1) in SICF t-code , i actvate the all services realted to http . i dont know which services properly need to webdynpro ui layout.
after activating those services, ui elements are coming . but when i am tryin to drag ui elemetns in to UILayout , it showing some error message. I am not able to drag ui elemetns to ui layout.
Please tell how to solve this problem.
1) if the solution is regarding ip address in host file, please guide me in depth step by step.

I had a similar problem..
if u hav a look at ur url you will come to know the following things:
<schema>://<host>.<domain>.<extension>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/<namespace>/<application name>
the same url can be traced in SICF.
Also u need to add the server ip/domain name in the advanced tab in lan settings so that it does go through the proxy..

How to get the layouts in ABAP program/Query

I had created some layouts for a ABAP query and I can see them in the table LTDX as well.
But I had deleted the layouts while changing the query settings.

Also try executing the report, RSVARDOC_610, which will enable the variants sometimes after some modifications.

As fas as I know, Layout Server is not required for normal processes in MDM like import and export. I feel layout server is used when you are looking for publishing purposes with the DTP applications. You will be generally using MDM server, Import server and Syndication Server,
