WD CATS with Chrome Browser

Hi SCNers,
I am having an issue with WD CATS display. I am using the UI5 employee landing page. When I launch CATS time sheet from IE9 it works fine but when I launch the same from chrome browser I am not able to see the Date and Delete icon on the time sheet. Please see the screen shot.
Any ideas why this might be the case?

Best to use the micro soft IE9 and Above versions instead of other browsers.
Set the compatibility mode check it once.

Probable reasons for poor youtube performance with Chrome browser

Using my new Lenovo Yoga 3 11 inch I have been experiencing horrendeously choppy youtube performance using the chrome browser, which was generating lots of heat due to the demands that chrome was asking of the CPU. The same youtube video plays perfectly smooth using Internet Explorer, and the laptop remains cool thanks to the much lower CPU load. So I was wondering why this was so. I wasted a lot of time following the stock answers of the internet - disabling plugins, 32 bit vs 64 bit chrome, updating drivers, even factory resetting and updating! But after routing through the internet guff, I did find some excellent information that fits my experiences, so I have little reason to doubt that the following statements, extracted from various parts of the internet, are true: Quote: "Google decided that Chrome should always use VP9 codec on PCs – even if there is no hardware acceleration available. This means that Chrome is doing CPU decide and that is pretty demanding in a 3.5w power limit for CPU, GPU, LLC, and FIVR. I thought people may find this information interesting, expecially if you are using a laptop with a light CPU such as Intel Core M. Chrome is my browser of choice, but this situation has forced me to use Internet Explorer for youtube.

I found that Chrome youtube runs much smoother and cooler on my Lenovo Yoga 3 11 inch after installing the h264ify Chrome extension. This allows Chrome to use the h264 codec for youtube instead of the CPU hammering VP9 codec.

Adobe Acrobat X Standard with Chrome Browser

I want to download Adobe Acrobat X Standard on a second computer where I have always used Chrome as my browser. However, the requirements state, "For this download, you should either use Internet Explorer browser or, if you are using the Foxfire, Netscape Navigator or Mozilla browsers, you should make to have the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed." Does this mean I cannot use Chrome with this product?

your acrobat X just may not install a pdf reader plugin for it which shouldn't be an issue because chrome comes with a pdf viewer.

Acrobat 9 Help is broken with Chrome browser installed.

I have Acrobat 9 Standard on Win7-64bit; browsers are Chrome v. 18.0.1025.142 and IE 9. Acrobat Help does not work correctly when launched in Chrome; only shows part of the text, search doesn't work, etc. Acrobat Help works fine when launched from IE (this was determined by cutting and pasting the link into IE). The problem is that Acrobat is stuck on launching Help from Chrome. This occurs even when IE is set as the default browser. I've tried doing an Acrobat install/repair while IE is set to default, but the undesired behavior is not corrected by this: always launches Help using Chrome. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

HP Security Client doesnt work with Chrome browser

Clean install, everything is latest from HP website, running 8.1, Client Security passwords work fine with Explorer but Chorme extension is seems broken

No help from HP so far. I found a way to enable the extension with regular Chrome brower however the extension is broken and does NOT work in Chrome. HP developers need to adress this issue otherwise this simple login process is useless.
In order to enable the extension you must "whitelist" it in Windows policies under Chrome.
How can I get help from HP ? Tech support said they dont deal with software issues.....

Would like some help with Chrome Browser and interrupted downloads

Hi all,
This is my first foray into Macs and I have brought the Mac Mini (base spec, using latest version of lion) about 3 months ago and not regretted it either! I am however having one issue that is puzzling me. Upon getting my Mac I installed Chrome instantly I love it as a web browser and everything worked great, however one day Chrome crashed and I had to use force close from the Apple menu to close it, since then every time I attempt to download any file from the web to my network hdd I instantly get a 'download interrupted' message. Upon trying every other browser it works perfectly and Chrome it self WILL download to the internal hdd but not to my network drive. I really do prefer Chrome for web browsing but having to manually move each file rather than just download it to a set location is annoying. I have reset the PRAM and it didn't have any effect, I am unsure as to what is happening as it was working fine before I needed to force close Chrome. Please does anyone else have this problem and if so is it resolved and how can I resolve this annoying problem.

Adobe Muse template problem with chrome browser

Hello,
I'm new on adobe muse, and I have a problem with a template that I bought and modified (Purchased on ThemeForest).
The problem is in the view of the template on Chrome, the menu moves continuously and disappears (or is doubled).

Icons do not display using Windows 7 on HP Pavilion DM4 laptop. They display with Chrome browser-same laptop. Also display on Dell desktop with Windows XP

An example:
In gmail, when you click on an email in your in-box, icon graphics depicting options for the selected email (e.g., trash box, etc.) show up in Chrome but are replaced by empty rectangle images in Firefox or Internet Explorer. You can move the cursor over each box to get text to display explaining the option and then click on it and it will work. On my Dell desk top PC, the icon graphics show up in Firefox as well as IE and Chrome.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings and that you allow pages to choose their colors in Firefox.

Chrome Browser - with NWBC, ScreenPersonas or BI

Due to recent high-risk viruses and malware problems with IE - we are considering switching our default browser from IE to Chrome across the organization.
Can anyone comment on risks/issues of ScreenPersonas, NWBC or BI with Chrome browser?

A few things come to my mind initially.
NWBC - for desktop can only use IE, you can't change that. The NWBC HTML version of course you can use Chrome - just check the PAM for your system for Chrome support levels
Screen Personas uses MS Silverlight (unless you just use the HTML version)... I'm not sure how well it works with the Silverlight plugin for Chrome - it might be fine... not sure.
Finally just also note that many of SAPs accessibility (screen reader support etc..) features aren't supported in Chrome also Adobe Interactive Forms don't work.

chrome://browser/content/browser.js:6611 is rather strange ... it's the code that gives up or pulls the hand brake in a rather orderly fashion instead of crashing...
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Problem with opening PDF files in Google Chrome browser

We have a web page displaying links to dynamically generated PDF files located on the internal repository. This files are not just text PDF files but PDF forms created using XFA technology. This means that they must be opened and filled only in Adobe Reader and not in Foxit Reader or browser's built-in PDF viewer.
Now, the problem is that a Google Chrome browser opens any PDF file using its own PDF viewer. And I want to force this browser to open PDF files in Adobe Reader.
How can I achieve this without disabling 'Chrome PDF Viewer' plugin since I can't do this for all users of our web site?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. We use LiveCycle ES3.

Each user would have to set each browser individually.
Note: I don't think it's possible to set the default PDF viewer with code for every user who visits the site.

For dynamic forms its working by adding <NOXFA/> in

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

Before using BT as my BB supplier had no problem using Google Chromes browser, now I am having a lot of problems connecting all the time for the last few days. Today swithched to Firefox and Bingo no problems, any body got any ideas why this is happening or is anybody else having the same problem? Thanks for any answers.

This clearly sounds like a Chrome issue, either with install or something else. Has it always been a problem since you joined BT ? If you can use FF fine, then it's nothing to do with BT BB, not least because others are using it as mentioned, and I also use it sometimes as well as Opera, FF, Safari and IE9 without problem.
All sorts of things can get in the way, firewalls, and also any settings/extensions you may have entered into Chrome.
