WD my cloud - finder, Mavericks

at the begining, sorry for my english
I have one question/problem, I've tried to search it in internet but I can't find anything in that subject (maybe becouse I'm not good in computers terminology, and I'm not sure what exectly should I look, which words)
The problem is:
When my Macbook Pro is in the same wi-fi as WD My Cloud, I can see WDmycloud in finder (left bar under the "SHARED"), and I like it, but when my Macbook is in different wi-fi network, only way to get acces to my WD My Cloud is by using "WD My Cloud" application.
Can I change it? I want to have access to my WD My Cloud permanently from finder, like my normal hard drive (ofcourse "permanently" if I have connection with any network).

Why won't my Creaive Cloud find new updates for software?

Why won't my Creaive Cloud find new updates for software? For example, I know Illustrator 17.1 has been released with cool new features; however, my creative cloud seems to be oblivious to this update and any other updates and I do not know how to make work properly again. Creative cloud hasn't prompted me to update any software for over a month and so it is likely missing plenty of updates; however, it is the Illustrator update I want most.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lee if you remove and reinstall Illustrator do the new updates get applied? If not then please review your installation log files for the error which may be preventing the update from being applied. Please feel free to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

If you were logged in to icloud on the computer and it is on / connected to wifi / not erased, you will be able to go to iCloud.com (universal) and find a location. If the mac book had a deleted partition which held your icloud info you will not.

Once a wipe is sent, it cannot be stopped. You will not be able to track your iPad after that.

It sounds like you've installed Mavericks. You can confirm this by clicking on the Apple located at the top left of the screen and choosing "About This Mac" from the menu. You should see a window appear with the text "Version 10.9.1" near the middle.
If it says "Version 10.9.1", then you've installed Mavericks. It still says "Download" in the App Store because you can still download the operating system after installing it. This is useful if you want to download it for a friend, or create a USB boot drive.

Problems with bugs in Adobe Creative Cloud for Mavericks users.

Ever since I downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud to my newly purchased macbook pro, there have been issues. I have the mavericks update and this seems to be the main problem. There is alot of small bugs that is really annoying when you come from Adobe CS5 where everything is working fine! Everything in between shortcuts like cmd + C, cmd+ z, v for black arrow and etc. Everytime I open any of the programs, I get the license agreement that i have to agree the terms of use on. Both InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects seems to have these. And when I contact Adobe support, they say that this is NOT a common problem. But on first try, googling it, I find that many have the same problems. So this isn't gonna be solved by reinstalling everything because there is something wrong with my mac. So when is adobe going to fix this? When After Effects wouldn't launch after the mavericks update, you guys came up with a solution pretty fast. Do this again please?

I don't have Flash installed. When I encounter video that is Flash only (getting rarer and rarer) I open Google Chrome on my Mac and watch it there.
That's the only reason I have Chrome on my Mac.

Can't remove Criteria box under find - Mavericks, CC

I am trying to organize a large number of files using Bridge and keywords. it was working just fine when I would right click on a keyword and find that way. I typed a search term in the search box in the top right corner. Now when I right click a keyword and find it has both the keyword and whatever the last search term was as separate criteria boxes. I am unable to hit the minus to remove either of the search terms but the plus button will add them. The only fix I found was deleting preferences which I am NOT going to do everytime this happens. Is there any fix to this aside from trashing the preferences? The reason I need this to be foolproof is because it will be used across a few machines and several users. I would like to avoid having to run to their machines to delete their preferences for them.

I was able to duplicate this issue on another machine running Mavericks and Bridge CC, logged in under a different account.

Where do I find Maverick update?

I neglected to upgrade my iMac to Maverick and now I want to install some other updates and can't because I didn't install Maverick first. Where can I find it to install it?

I was able to figure it out when I did a search and saw I could install Yosemite. It didn't actually tell me there was no Maverick, but it let me install OS X Yosemite, and no bells or whistles went off so I figured I was safe. Thank you for the reply.

Cannot find mavericks 10.9

I am running macbook pro mid 2012, with osx 10.8.5. I would like to install mavericks. Presumably I have to start with 10.9 and then do all the upgrades. But I cannot find 10.9. Is it still available?
Do not want to use yoesmite yet, as am heavy Logic pro X user (10.0.7), and apparently there are still many bugs when it is run on yosemite.

After effects won't install from cloud on mavericks

I've downloaded after effects from the cloud and it keeps failing to install. I'm running new mavericks os?

Be sure that you are signed in and have activated the software—i.e., ensure that you are not running After Effects in free trial mode. The update will not work if you are running the application in trial mode. Sign in to Creative Cloud using any Adobe Creative Cloud application on your computer to activate all Adobe Creative Cloud applications on that computer.
Tip: If you’re not using a trial version, but you’re seeing the message that the update is not applicable, try one of these tips to force the application to be recognized as activated: Sign out of and then back in to Creative Cloud to refresh the activation state. Also, launching the After Effects render engine (not the full After Effects application) can refresh the activation; the render engine doesn’t have the crashing problem that the full unpatched application does. Finally, if neither of these works, uninstalling and then re-installing After Effects CC (12.0) can help.

Tag-View in Finder/Mavericks contains duplicates

Tags are really buggy with my Finder.
This is what it looks like when I click a tag, that i have put in the sidebar:
Most files are displayed multiple times
Some files don't have the tag displayed, even though GetInfo shows that the file is properly associated with the tag.
Things I've tried:
rebuilding the spotlight-index
restarting finder
trashing "com.apple.finder.plist"
repairing disk-permissions
repairing disk
No solution so far, this is really bad!

I have the same issue on my rMBP 15". I reported this as well during the open beta. I went back to my Mavericks backup because I though it might have to something with the installation. Now I installed the final and the problem is back.
Sometimes the files do show up but the name tag is distorted and interacting with them, e.g. selecting them, opening folders, works but Finder will still show the files with the distorted names although I'm already in another folder. I made some screenshots.
Already reset the PRAM, repaired the drive and permissions with no effect.
Edit: it happens very randomly when opening folders or new finder windows. The only thing where I can see regularity is when unzipping a file – that folder will initially always be broken.

Where do I find Mavericks for an initial install?

I currently have a late 2009 21" iMac with Lion - v 10.7.5 and would like to install Mavericks, but cannot find the initial installation - all the current versions I find on the Apple web site are updates and require that I install v 9.0 before the update can install. Thanks for the help.

OS X 10.9 Mavericks is no longer available from the Mac App Store.
Only OS X 10.10 Yosemite is available for free from the App Store.
You can, also, purchase an email download code to download and install OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
You maybe able to contact Apple by phone at 1-800-MY APPLE to see if Apple can help with getting a way to download and install Mavericks.
Before embarking on a major OS upgrade, it would be wise, advisable and very prudent if you backup your current system to an external connected and Mac formatted Flash drive OR externally connected USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800, Mac formatted hard drive. Then, use either OS X Time Machine app to backup your entire system to the external drive OR purchase, install and use a data cloning app, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, to make an exact and bootable copy (clone) of your entire Mac's internal hard drive. This step is really needed in case something goes wrong with the install of the new OS or you simply do not like the new OS, you have a very easy way/procedure to return your Mac to its former working state.
Then, determine if your Mac meets ALL minimum system install requirements.

If you run any older Mac software from the earlier PowerPC Macs, then none of this software will work with the newer OS X versions (10.7 and onward). OS X Snow Leopard had a magical and invisible PowerPC emulation application, called Rosetta, that worked seamlessly in the background that still allowed older PowerPC coded software to still operate in a Intel CPU Mac.
The use of Rosetta ended with OS X Snow Leopard as the Rosetta application was licensed to Apple, from a software company called Transitive, which got bought out, I believe, by IBM and Appe could no longer secure their rights to continue to use Rosetta in later versions of OS X.
So, you would need to check to see if you have software on your Mac that maybe older than, say, 2006 or older.

If you have any commercial antivirus installed and/or hard drive cleaning apps installed on your Mac, like MacKeeper, CleanMyMac, TuneUpMyMac, MacCleanse, etc. now would be a good time to completely uninstall this apps by doing a Google search to learn how to properly uninstall these types of apps.
These types of apps will only cause your Mac issues later after the install of the new OS X version and you will have to completely uninstall these types of apps later.
Once you have determined all of this, you should be able to find the latest versions of OS X by clicking on the Mac App Store icon in the OS X Dock and then login to the Mac App Store using your Apple ID and password and if you purchased a download code, input that code.
You can then begin the download and installation process of installing the newer versions of OS X from the Mac App Store.

Can't find mavericks installer

Trying to recover Mavericks installation, want to create a new boot-able USB to reinstall mavericks. In my 10.9.4 laptop, I can't find the Mavericks ap installer suggested by Creating a bootable OS X installer in OS X Mavericks. Where do I find the installer? I am logged into the ap store when I try this. I get no results for any combination of mavericks, installer, etc..

Only the most recent version of OS X is available in the Mac App Store, which is OS X Yosemite. If you have previously downloaded OS X Mavericks, you can download it again from your purchases list, in the Purchases pane, while you were signed into your account.

Finder Mavericks instability

I installed Mavericks 2 days ago. After installing, the finder does not worked proprely. I thought it was TotalFinder and desinstalled it. But it goes on:
the window close alone and open it alone without reason. What can I do?
