WD navigation - Exiting application back to calling screen.
Hi Gurus,
Simple WD question. I'm developing an "exit" button that would enable the program to navigate back to the calling screen which is either an Iview or a UWL message.
I tried finding snippet, tuts and reference codes but couldn't any.
Is there any API or methods that enable me to retrieve the calling URL of the application? Or do I need a few more steps to generate/retrieve those URLs?
Any gurus kind enough to help? Thanks alot!

Try using Exit plugs to accompolish your requirement.
1. In the Web Dynpro explorer expand the node <WD project> Web Dynpro Components <YourComponent> Component Interface Interface Views <YourComponent>InterfaceView and then double-click on it.
2. Select the tab "Plugs".
3. Add a new outbound plug of type "Exit plug" (Mark checkbox "Exit Plug" in the window that pops up for the New Outbound Plug) and name it as "AppExit" and choose Next.
4. By clicking "New", add a new parameter with name <b>Url</b> (Use exactly the same name Url) of type
<b>String</b> and choose Finish.
Now add the interface view controller usage to the required view from which you have to exit and go back to a URL.
1. Select the Web Dynpro Components <YourComponent> Views <YourView>.
2. Select the Properties tab.
3. Add the required usage of the controller <YourComponent>InterfaceView.
Then, create a button in your view (say "Back") and associate it to the event / action handler.(say, onActionExit).
In the event handler write the code like this:
public void onActionExit(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent)

How to go back to calling screen???
Hi experts,
I had modified the Exit MV45AFZZ to display pop up message when we save a sales order.
Now user after giving all the input in VA01 will go for SAVE button and after which pop up will occur.
Now my problem is after displaying message it should come to same screen of sales order and with all the input data as user had mentioned.
Please help as its very urgent for me.

You insert a screen sequence using the CALL SCREEN <nnnn> statement.
Note: Layers created in this way must be removed afterwards. You can do this by setting the next screen
statically or dynamically to the initial value (0) an the end of the inserted screen sequence.
To interrupt processing of the current screen and branch to a new screen (or sequence of screens), use
the CALL SCREEN <nnnn> statement. The screen <nnnn> must belong to the same program.
In the program, the system constructs a stack. The stack has to be destroyed before the end of the
program.
To return to the statement following the CALL SCREEN statement, you can use either SET SCREEN 0.
LEAVE SCREEN. or LEAVE TO SCREEN 0. The screen that called the other screen is then processed
further.
If you use the above statements outside a call chain, the program terminates, and control returns to the
point from which it was called. You can also terminate a program using the ABAP statement LEAVE
PROGRAM.

Help with Refreshing and Calling Screens
Hi everyone. I have somewhat of a simple ABAP program in which the user will enter data on Selection-Screen 1000. This will then be loaded into an Object Oriented ALV Grid for display purposes only (screen 0100). At any time, the user may use the back button on the ALV Grid Screen; which will take them from screen 0100 to screen 1000(Selection Screen). Lets assume the user does not want to go back to the original selection screen from the ALV Grid Screen; they entered the information correctly and want to continue processing using a custom button I've created which will continue to process the record of data into a BW ODS. This process works, but now I would like to use the write statement once the custom button is clicked to show a summary of the data I am inserting into the ODS after the data has been inserted. The problem is, the title of the ALV Grid still shows and the Write statement is processed, but not shown on the screen. I've been trying to refresh the screen with set screen and call screen combinations, but no luck. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also the main problem was that you needed leave to list-processing and suppress dialog before writing. However, when you do this the screens calls change a little. You also needed to use the container correctly. Apply the correctons below and you'll be all set. Unfortunaley you will have to play around with calling the sel. screen (1000) from screen 100, I don't think call sel. screen 1000 will work properly there (you might need a custome screen instead). The user may be okay with kicking back out to sa38 after the alv display, however. Good luck and don't listen to the clowns' comments above. I once worked in that circus, Hey Guys.

Hi, I'm having a problem retrieving my missed calls. When I press the recents button it goes back to home screen. But when I press mail button and any other application the button works. I have tried restore but to no avail. Please help.

I have iPad air, screen freezes after FaceTime call and cannot get back to home screen, have to power down and turn back on to get back to home screen. What am I doing wrong?

To resolve your issue with Facetime freezing when you end a call, I would try the first three steps in the article below.

If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.

Hi Experts,
I'm using FMs SSF_OPEN and SSF_CLOSE to display multiple smartforms. After SSF_CLOSE the spool appears in SP01, when I exit the application (exit application and debugger) or raise an exception after FM SSF_CLOSE, the spool disappears from SP01.
But if after SSF_CLOSE, I put SET SCREEN '0'. LEAVE SCREEN - which supposedly should exit the program, the spool is not being deleted from SP01.
My question is, is there any way to commit the spool in SP01 even if I close the application or raise an exception? Should the code "COMMIT WORK", work for this requirement?

To load new music I need connect my phone to pc, after all when I disconnect phone my applications don't want run,non of them, after one sec back to main screen! Then I need back my phone to factory settings! Anybody know what is wrong?! Thanks

Go to the iTunes store on the phone and "buy" any free app. This should fix the problem. -

what you are telling i think is too much. I've read your requests and believe me some of them is out of context. One example is listening to radio while being on a call. Who would like to have such options?? It's ridiculous.

When I try to download any application from I tune it ask to accept the new terms and condition of itune.and when I accept it it again opens the I tune but nothing happens and iPad returns back to home screen.plz help me
Try resetting your iPad and start again, sometime that clears the problem

Back to selection screen after error
Hello ABAPers,
I have a executable program (REPORT) to do some processing (e.g. read a standard table with the parameters and select-options and save the data in a Z table).
When occurs an error (e.g. when sy-subrc <> 0 after select) and a message of type E is showed, the program show the message in a "clean" screen with title SAP. Then, after ENTER or ESC, it leaves to initial screen of SAP (SAP Easy Access).
The message of type E is triggered from a routine (FORM) called from START-OF-SELECTION event. And the program don´t write nothing in list (only return a status message if everithing is ok).
How can I force the program to back to selection screen after some error?

Do the following for your requirement.
in the message give the following
start-of-selection.
Perform <routine>.
Form <routine>.
if <condition>.
message 'xxxx' type 'S' display like 'E'.
exit.
endif.
endform.
This way the control returns to selection screen even after the message is triggered.

Hi everybody, I did work a program with Tx SE38, in the program I call a screen.
START-OF-SELECTION.
PERFORM completa_lista.
CALL SCREEN 0100.
END-OF-SELECTION.
The program run very well, but. When the program is in screen 0100 and push the button BACK or button EXIT. Don't return to program that called to screen 0100, always return to the program SAPMSSY0 and then push again the button BACK or EXIT to return the program that called to screen 0100.
This is my code in the PAI:

WHEN 'EXIT' OR 'BACK'.
LEAVE TO SCREEN 0.

I try with SET SCREEN 0. or LEAVE TO SCREEN 0. But always return to the program SAPMSSY0

LEAVE TO SCREEN 0 will work in your case.
it comes back to the point from where it triggered screen 0100.
If you want to leave the program and come back to the easy access screen then you have to use LEAVE PROGRAM.

Everything is working ok. But when I click on Back button,the screen goes first to the ALV display mode from edit mode, then user has to click one time more the back button to go to selection screen because the FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' is called once again when user clicks
on change button because I am making the EDIT flag = 'X' and then calling FM again.
Is there a way that when user clicks on Back button, he will directly go to Change Screen -> Selection screen instead of going to Change screen -> Display screen -> Selection screen

Rajesh.You must not call the FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' again to make it editable. Instead you can call the FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_GET and REUSE_ALV_GRID_LAYOUT_INFO_SET to make your grid editable / non-editable.

In this example, when you SAVE, it will give you one Information message and than make the Layout to non-editable mode. When you press back button, it will get you back to selection screen.

Going back to selection screen from ALV
Hi there,
I have scenario: program -> selection screen -> ALV
In the 'BACK' button I have put: LEAVE TO SCREEN 0. It should go back to selection screen. But it does not and exits the program. I also tried to call the selection screen like CALL SELECTION-SCREEN 1000. But in this case if I hit BACK on selection screen, it goes back to previous screen, the ALV not the program. Can you please assist any other way to use the back button from
ALV -> Selection screen. Thanks.

Navigation problem with back button in module pool
Hi everyone,
I have a scenario in module pool programming in which i need help.
I have an i/p filepath screen where the user inputs his/her file and clicks on validate button provided in the toolbar.
After that it goes to the next screen which displays all the messages(error/success).
After I click on Execution button it goes to next screen displaying all the created data.
Now when I click on back button I want it to go to the i/o filepath screen.
Please give me your comments on this.
Leave to screen XXXX is giving me dump so any other options plz let me know.

Lets say you have 3 screens 100, 200 and 300. screen 100 has you input file path and 200 shows the message and 300 shows the created data.
Now in PAI of 300 write as below.
IN the screen as below
MODULE USER_COMMAND_300_EXIT AT EXIT COMMAND.
In the include as below
MODULE USER_COMMAND_300_EXIT.
CASE sy-ucomm.
WHEN 'BACK'. " OK code for BACK button.

I have formatting problems when deploying Help files using RoboHelp 8
When i deploy the Help files. The formatting of the Numbering/bullets are affected and it is parts of the help files that i have not changed. Is there something else that i need to do to fix it?
