WD4A application FPM framework - Explicit Configuration

Hi All,
Have been following FPM for ABAP - Developer's guide, to develop a test WD4A application with FPM framework. After creating the Webdynpro Component and Application while trying to change the Component Configuration, the tab 'Explicit Configuration' at any time is not active its simply grayed out.
Could you please help me in finding the reason?

Once you will make Custom Controller , then only Explicit Configuration will be active.
Othervise it will be Grayed only.
->So Please make a Custom controller-Configuration Controller and add to further contexts.
->The storage of attributes in the context of this controller ensures that their values can be set or changed later on with the help of Component Configurator.

I am getting error while configuring WAS 7 Fix Pack 37 (7.0.0.37) with Oracle Application Development Framework (Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0). While adding products to cell (Oracle Directory Services Manager for WebSphere - 11.1.2.2.0), I am getting below error:
CFGFWK-64069: The following prerequisites were found to be missing: Oracle WebCenter Composer Extension - 11.1.1.0
Also attached the screenshot of the error.

Hello,
ODSM has the following dependencies apart from ADF (both components depend also on ADF):
- UIShell (oracle.idm.uishell.war)
- Webcenter Composer (oracle.webcenter.composer.war).
Apparently the composer is missing.
Important points to check when using ODSM with WAS:
- To install and configure Oracle Fusion Middleware with IBM WebSphere, you must first install (but not configure) IBM WebSphere
- You must install the Oracle Application Development Framework as the same user who installed Oracle Unified Directory.
- appdev must be installed under the same ORACLE_HOME as OUD

How to change the browser title of standard SAP WD4A application - eRecruit

Hi,
I have a requirement to change browser title for standard SAP WD4A application hrrcf_a_candidate_registration. I know this value is used from application description filed.
Current set up is 'Candidate Registration'. (WD Component HRRCF_C_REGISTER_UI)
I tried to use enhancement framework technique and application customization/configuration - but was not successfull.
I do not like the idea of changing the standard SAP object since it might be overwritten in future upgrade. And also I do not prefer to create z* copy of this application as well.
Any ideas how to handle this request? Is dynamic modification of this property possible?

Application Update Framework in Mobile Based App

Alright, I have a tabbed application that I target mobile tablets with (iPad, and Android). However, I also export it as a desktop app. Now, the problem I am running into, is integrating the application update framework to execute when the app loads on the desktop only version (obviously the app store is handling the updates on the tablets).
On creation complete, I am calling the updateCheck:

Error #2044: Unhandled error:. text=Unhandled exception TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
And the app debugger highlights the following in updateConfig:

Any ideas guys?

Apparently not just Mavericks. This was an issue with the current released of AIR 3.9. I confirmed that downloading the beta of 3.9 released on 10/29/2013 seems to have fixed the issue.

Stoping the navigation in FPM Framework

I am working on Travel Request Application which is built in Web Dynpro ABAP and FPM technology.
I have added custom button on General Data component to check some validation, when i through a error message it is showing the error but the navigation is not canceled how to stop the FPM navigation when there is an error ?

Hi Kiran,
I assume you are using the FPM message manager to throw the error message. If yes, then it is possible to stop the navigation of the application based on your validations.
In the FPM message manager methods, there exists a parameter IS_NAVIGATION_ALLOWED. All you need to do is pass the value abap_false explicitly to this parameter when you throw the message. The FPM framework will take care of stopping the validation.

How to call a WD4A Application of another system

Hi,
I have the need to call a WebDynpro Application of another system via a URL call, thet the application should be opend in the CRM WebUI Window (statefull ) .
Calling the application via a button event & transaction launcher works fine, but i need to call it from a BSP page. So my idea was to create an iframe, but this obviously opens a new window:

Absolute Navigation between WD4J and WD4A applications

All,
I have a WD4J and a WD4A application that communicate with each other via absolute navigation and URL parameter. I am finding that in some cases after calling the WD4J from my WD4A (via call method lr_port_manager->navigate_absolute), that the WD4A seems to remain "alive" such that when the WD4J again calls the WD4A it resumes to the view from which it left rather than calling the window startup plug to obtain the URL parameter.
This happens consistently for some users, but not others even though the same exact user roles are assigned and the same exact data is used. Furthermore, I do not make use of any Suspend/Resume or Exit plugs w/in the Window.

I have configured the SMD on Solution Manager 4.0 SP 11, LMSERVICE SP12 (Before it was SP 11 but is still had the same error)
Wily Introscope 7.1.
The solution has been published and I able to use all the other diagnostic modules except for E2E.
When I click on any E2E Workload/Exception etc I get the following message
"This application is not yet configured. Please refer to the E2E post-installation steps"
What are the specific steps to enable my application for E2E?

Is there an application development framework for HTML5? Not the generic CSS and Javascript version where you build your own app, rather some kinda framework like Flex where everything gets embedded into the Canvas and javascripts gets cretade as you build your software.

3) Why the number of Oracle Application Development Framework 11g Essentials certified is less, even ADF is getting popular?
4) Should I have Practical experience of Oracle ADF mean everything that is part of exam?

Its not an exam for the "ADF Essentials" edition but the essential ADF knowledge that is tested by this exam. Its the first part of a multipart certification

Less to what? Note that you can run your business on ADF without being certified. However, as a partner or consultant certification certainly is seen as a proof of your skill set

How to redeploy planning application using EPM System Configurator

Run the EPM configurator, expand planning and select "Deploy to Application Server", if it is a distributed environment and planning is not on the same server as the WebLogic admin server you will need to start the Admin Server

I have configure remote access feature web application proxy but not configure give the error. The remote name could not be resolved in server 2012 R2.
I have configure Ad and ADFS different server and try to configure web application proxy different server. what setting are required for connect web application proxy to Ad and ADFS.

In addition, please make sure that the port 443 is not blocked by the firewall.
Web Application Proxy requires internal name resolution to resolve the names of backend servers, and AD FS servers. When publishing web applications via Web Application Proxy, every web application you publish requires an external URL. For clients to reach
these web applications, a public DNS server must be able to resolve each external URL that you configure. Note that the external URL must resolve to the same IP address as the Web Application Proxy server, or the external IP address of a firewall or load-balancer
placed in front of the Web Application Proxy server.
