WDA Accessibility enhancement 7.02

Hello,
Recently, we have adapted the WDA as our platform for SAP web development in 7.01. While we have followed the SAP Accessibility Guidelines for Web Dynpro for ABAP(published in October 17, 2007), our accessibility team is not satisfied with the outcome that does not meet the W3C standard.
With the release of 7.02 and 7.3 SAP Portal, does anyone have any information about accessibility enhancement?
thanks,
wai-ming

Hi,
I think the custom WDA iViews  should work fine in the existing portal version. If you have any WDA iViews based out of some business package then compatibility needs to be verified. Let us know if the WDA iViews are out of some BP?
However there is below thread from forums that has some good information whether or not to upgrade Portal if ERP is upgraded to EHP5. (ps: this forum post also deals about ESS/MSS component upgrade on ERP side).
[Portal systems upgrade requirement after ERP EHP5 upgrade.;
Thanks,
Swapna Priya.

  • WDA - FITV_POWL_TRIPS Enhancement

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to enhance WDA FITV_POWL_TRIPS .  When I goto person's 'All My Expense
Reports' tab - there is column which displays attachments which are attached to corresponding trips. I want to add my custom code to how the attachments are displayed.
I am new to POWL and have studied feeder class CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS but could not get a clear idea in which method is the code written for the 'All My Expenses Report' tab.
Any suggestion would be great help to me.
    Thanks.

  • WDA accessing MySQL DB through Java Connector

    Hi,
Im having some issues to interfacing a web dynpro abap application with a MySQL DB through a java connector connexion.
Here what I want to do:
Doing queries on my MySQL DB after input fields of search criteria and get the results back to display them in the web dyn pro application. (reporting tool-)
Accessing the data of a MySQL Database in my SAP, to avoid a duplication of data.
I would like to know how to send a query  to my Java application ?
And how to send the result of this query to the Webdynpro ABAP ?
Whats the best and easiest solution ?
    Thanks !

Found my way through JCo Server.
I need an rfc or BAPI that have specific parameters --> a table with several specific fields and several fields for search criteria.
The user enter the search criteria than I send those to my Java server, the Java server retrieve those parameters and perform a SQL query on the MySQL DB. I fill in the table parameter with the result and send the whole table to the abap
    How is it possible ?
    Thanks !

  • Blackberry Accessibility, functions and features

An accessibility enhancement which would benefit both the Blackberry Screen Reader user and even the sighted, would be the incorporation of VCR type controls integrated with the Trackpad providing cursor type navigation control for left, right, up and down movements. This enhancement would also be highly beneficial to anyone who has a physical disability causing motor control issues.

I do PowerPoint presentations very often... it is a pain to bring a pointer, and have the pointer work at every business meeting. it would be grand to have a pointer bulit-in with smart phone.

  • Accessibility of Workshop 8.1.6

    Hello,
I tried sending this to an email address ([email protected]) as suggested by some documentation, but the address is dead. I'm posting it here in hopes of getting more info on the accessibility of Workshop for blind developers.
    Hello,
I want to start by saying "thanks" for working to make the various BEA products accessible to the blind community.  I am a blind developer specializing
in application integration, and am finding myself less and less able to operate in this field as time goes on due to the increasingly graphical nature
of design and development activities.  One particular integration company, who shall remain nameless (Tibco), has done little if anything in this regard.
I'm using the newest Workshop - 8.1.6 - and the newest version of Jaws for Windows - 7.1.0.  I have 2 basic questions.  First, your documentation states
that blind users prefer to use source view over design view when creating applications in Workshop.  The docs don't really say 'how' to do that as far
as I can tell.  For example, I'm going through the tutorial called "Creating Your First Business Process."  After deleting RequestQuote.jpd and related
files, I'm asked to create a new file with the same name.  No problems so far.  Then the doc says to double-click on the empty Starting Event target, which
allows me to make some selections.  At this point, I believe I should be performing this step in the source view.  I can open the source view, but what
steps do I take once source view is open?  I'm sure that if I add the right code, the design view will be updated with the changes, and all will be happiness.
Are there docs that describe how to interact with a jpd and its various nodes using only the source view?
My second question is related to this statement in your documentation:
    Recommended Assistive Technology Configuration
BEA provides certain recommended configuration options for industry leading assistive technologies. These configuration options ensure that the accessibility
enhancements present in the application are available to the assistive technology user. Configuration options are currently available for the JAWSTM screen
reader produced by Freedom Scientific, Inc. Other assistive technology configuration options are available on request from BEA.
What sort of configurations are you referring to?  Where can I get these configurations?
    Thanks again -
    Brian.

    Hello Brain,
I have contacted the internal alias to find why the [email protected] alias isn't working for you.
Regarding the specific question, I have not been able to find a way to achieve the same results in the source view as what the "double-click on the empty Starting Event target" does.
I can send you specific snippets of code which gets generated for each choice, but unfortunately, there are certain parts of this code which are auto created and should not be edited by the user.
In my experience with WLI processes, I've noticed that certain operations are restricted to just the design view.
I'll go ahead and create an internal CR to track this.
Regarding the second question, I was able to find the documentation you are referring to, but unfortunately I do not have much information regarding the specific configurations. I'll try to get some clarification and get back to you.
It might help to post this question to the process news group at http://newsgroups.bea.com/bea/forum.jspa?forumID=2047
    cheers

  • Change application font size in Thunderbird 3.

How can I change the font size in Thunderbird 3? The bold fonts are to bold and the general font size is to big I think.
I have tested with creating a chrome folder in the default profile. The userChrome.css looks like this. But it didn't work.
    * Edit this file and copy it as userChrome.css into your
    * profile-directory/chrome/
    * This file can be used to customize the look of Mozilla's user interface
    * You should consider using !important on rules which you want to

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */
    * Some possible accessibility enhancements:
    * Make all the default font sizes 20 pt:
    * font-size: 20pt !important
    /* Global UI font */
    font-size: 6pt !important;
EDIT: Seems like the bold font is a more global problem. This is from Firefox
I have installed the ubuntu patched fonts. My ~/.fonts.conf looks like this.
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM "fonts.dtd">

    Yes of course. My bad.
Here it is. Some of the entries don't have a corresponding entry in conf.avail. I accidentally deleted 10-autohint.conf from conf.avail when I meant to delete it in conf.d. Ho do I get it back?
Have tested lxappearance to change the font in GTK applications. Works, but the boldness is not looking very good yet.

  • EMac Still Humming Along - Display Issues Though ... Any Help?

I have a strange display issue to run by the forum here:
Obviously my 2002 eMac is going to be suffering some display issues
with the age the Mac is and all ... but besides the slightly "softer" screen focus
(due to aging tube), I only have one other constant issue with the display.
I know the brightness and contrast are not what they used to be when the eMac
was newer, but here is the issue I am having. At least once a day now (after a few hours
of use), I seem to be constantly adjusting the "brightness" and "contrast" setting to get the
screen to a very usable brighter white field color. Normally now, the screen will get kind
of "dim gray" and less "contrast white" ... without any brightness or contrast range left for
me to adjust (the brightness and contrast settings in the system preferences/display pane
    are usually maxed out).
To kind of fix this, what I've noticed lately, is that if I open the system preferences pane
and go to the "display" settings, lower both brightness and contrast down to the lowest settings,
then close out of system preferences .... then open system preferences again, and adjust the brightness and contrast up to slightly higher than the normal middle settings .... the screen brightness and contast are better and I have more "adjustment range.
Here's my question: What would be making the "brightness" and "contrast" settings come back to
a more "normal state" by performing the above sequence? I once thought the screen display was
getting older and as a result, dimming normally. But now I am thinking that it may be more of a "software" issue that isn't keeping the brightness or contrast settings in hold.
I pretty much perform all the basic maintenance procedures on a regular basis (ie: Permissions,
repair, disc repair/check, DiscWarrior directory repair/check, etc.), so am I missing anything
    important here?
Any thoughts or ideas what is happening here, or how to make the "brightness" and "contrast"
    hold their settings longer?
    Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

One other thing to look at is the setting in System Preferences, Universal Access, *Enhance Contrast* slider to make sure it is set to normal before you make the adjustment in Display.
Have you ever tried calibrating your screen? It can also be done under Display?
Generally an increasingly darker display is hardware related caused by heat, as well as the aging of the tube as you have indicated.
I used to like cleaning out the dust from the interior of the eMac periodically using a large soft artist's brush to dust and a running vacuum cleaner to suck up the dust as it flew. Most dust accumulates on the fan blades and it always seemed to run quieter afterwards, though 'quieter' is a relative term on an eMac.
The only tricky bit to this operation is the micro plug that connects to the power button. It is very small and fiddly to reattach.
Only consider the above course of action if your are naturally happy with opening electrical equipment and realize it must be completely disconnected from any power outlet before you even start. Otherwise don't do it if you feel unsure.
Your problem is unusual in your saying that it appears to be software related, from opening and closing your Sys. Prefs dialogue. It makes me wonder if anything is corrupting that file, and the settings it contains? It is peculiar.
I wonder if deleting that particular file would help. With System Preferences closed, in Finder locate,
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
and drag it to the trash.
It will be recreated next time your open Sys. Prefs.
I doubt if that will be the fix, but you might as well try it. As an experiment, instead of doing your described technique, instead try trashing that .plist and see if it achieves the same.
Lastly when was the last time you replaced your PRAM battery? It is a cheap thing to do, and I mention it only because the PRAM chip does control some video settings and removing a possible aberrant voltage from the equation is a one more thing you can do.

  • Using password in ColdFusion

    Hello,
I run a Web site for a book publisher and we have a special
Web site where you can access enhanced content for the book you
have. You have to enter a password, which allows access to only the
titles from the series you have. You get to the password login page
by clicking of the series the book is from, so it only validates
the password from that set in our database.
Does anyone know if there is a way to have the user enter a
password that will get validated from our entire database of
passwords, but restrict them to only that area of the Web site?
    Thanks!

The above poster is right. In Dreamweaver, you can add a page
restriction depending on the access group of the user. What this
requires is a new column in your user DB that lists the user's
access to the web site. For instance, one of my apps uses the
access levels 'member', 'confidential', and 'admin'. The member
profile only has access to the basic pages. The confidential
profile has access to certain things that normal members are not
allowed to view. The admin profile is self explanitory, granting
    him/her access to administrative menus.
You may wish to check into this. I learned about this from a
Dreamweaver 8 book and the book has been the foundation for the
numerous apps that I've created over the last year.

  • "Over 100 New Features List" ??

Ever since the release of IOS4, I have heard the term "over 100 new features" thrown around, yet I can not find an official list of these features. Does anybody know where an official list can be found with each feature number listed out? I feel like it is just a hype term they have used, but it isn't documented anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Screen is dim on my Mac Mini after installing 10.6.3 update

Has anyone else encountered this problem? My Mac Mini was running just fine until I installed 10.6.3. After the reboot the display came up very dim. The icons and overall display are noticeably darker and playing a flash video (Hulu) results in an image that can barely be seen because it is nearly black. This is both with a direct DVI connection as well as through a DVI to VGA adapter. The same symptom is displayed on my ViewSonic monitor as well as my Sony HD TV (through the VGA port).
    Mac OS X 10.6.3
2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Intel GMA 950 built-in video card (64 MB of memory)
    1024 x 768 @ 60Hz, 32 bit color
There isn't much to change in System Preferences -> Display and I tried adjusting the contrast (System Preferences -> Universal Access -> Enhance Contrast) but nothing seems to help.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Keaton

    Yeah right• Bug fixes

Yesterday I set up a Canon IP3600 to work on a PowerBook G4 running OS 10.4.11. It is a print-only unit. I got the 10.4 drivers off the Canon website before connecting the printer. Many Brother printers still have support for older Mac OS versions.
If you need a multi-function device, it is gettng very hard to find any that support PowerPC Macs (pre-2006) of OSX versions older then 10.6 any more.
As you posted in the PowerPC iMac forum I assume you have one. However, there are some Intel Macs (2006 and newer) still running 10.4. Check "About this Mac" under your Apple menu: if it says you have an Intel processor, you have many more doors open.

Edit 2: Well, "dhcpcd eth0" brings it . But I really wouldn't want to do those two commands upon every boot.

Do you have hal in your daemons array?
No I didn't actually !! I just had "(syslog-ng network netfs crond)". Dunno why my rc.conf defaulted to that.. I believe that fixed the problem. I'll boot later today.. but hey, if that did indeed fix the problem: you're the man !
I myself would never had even thought about that.
Edit: yep, that fixed this. Thanks again!! -> marking as [Solved].

  • Can Server 2012 R2 Essentials / Azure Directory Services integrate with Office365 Home?

I currently run Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials at home to provide network features and automated backup.  I would like to use office365 home for my family (I currently use office365 small business without standalone office apps).  Does anyone
know if office365 home will integrate?  Can azure directory services be used?  Thanks.

    maybe helpful...

  • (close /max /min) buttons became hard to select

The amber / greem / red buttons at the top / left of Safari have become hard to select a week after I installed Mavericks, which BTW really slowed down switching between tabs and windows and shows the beach ball more that before.  I have tried rebooting, shutting and restarting Safari.
Now I have to hunt around the buttons in order to find the tiny sweet spot where they work now?
Is anyone else having this issue?

maybe i'm doing it wrong , sry i'm noob ^^
