WDA - FITV_POWL_TRIPS Enhancement

Hello Experts,
I am trying to enhance WDA FITV_POWL_TRIPS . When I goto person's 'All My Expense
Reports' tab - there is column which displays attachments which are attached to corresponding trips. I want to add my custom code to how the attachments are displayed.
I am new to POWL and have studied feeder class CL_FITV_POWL_FEEDER_TRIPS but could not get a clear idea in which method is the code written for the 'All My Expenses Report' tab.
Any suggestion would be great help to me.

Error when executing standard WDA FITV_POWL_TRIPS

hi ,
when i am executing WDA FITV_POWL_TRIPS following error is coming
some logon error message is coming , that is,
service cannot be reached.
URL http://...../sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/fitv_powl_trips call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
The termination occurred in system D10 with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
i think i have to activate the service or something like that from some tcodes.
please reply.

WDA Accessibility enhancement 7.02

Hello,
Recently, we have adapted the WDA as our platform for SAP web development in 7.01. While we have followed the SAP Accessibility Guidelines for Web Dynpro for ABAP(published in October 17, 2007), our accessibility team is not satisfied with the outcome that does not meet the W3C standard.
With the release of 7.02 and 7.3 SAP Portal, does anyone have any information about accessibility enhancement?

Hi,
I think the custom WDA iViews should work fine in the existing portal version. If you have any WDA iViews based out of some business package then compatibility needs to be verified. Let us know if the WDA iViews are out of some BP?
However there is below thread from forums that has some good information whether or not to upgrade Portal if ERP is upgraded to EHP5. (ps: this forum post also deals about ESS/MSS component upgrade on ERP side).

Error while executing - FITV_POWL_TRIPS

Hello Experts,
I am getting the below error when I am executing WDA FITV_POWL_TRIPS.
A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLPTRM_WEB_EMPLOYEE_SERVICES" raised the exception condition "USER_NOT_FOUND". Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program, processing was terminated.
Kindly can somebody help me.

Solved myself...executed the WDA - FITV_POWL_TRIPS on the user name whose travel details I had to access - that solved my problem.

Enhancement a standard WDA problem with an ALV

Hi everybody,
I enhance the DPR_MAINFRAME WDA in order to display a popup that has to show an ALV before save. I already enhance the context of the component controller by adding an extra node that is going to have the information that will be display on this ALV.
The problem I am facing is when I want to mapped the component usage of my ALV with the context of the component controller, because it doesn't show the new node that I created on it. The weird thing is that I can see this new node in the same context of the same component controller in the tab cotext of the enhance view.
¿What can I do in order to mapped the component usage of the ALV table to the context of the component controller?

Currently Web Dynpro Component HRRCF_C_RELEASE_PROF_UIu2019s profile status Radio Button defaults to u2018Lock Profileu2019. I need to enhance the same Web Dynpro Component HRRCF_C_RELEASE_PROF_UIu2019s profile status Radio Button defaults to u2018Release Profileu2019.
Contextu2019s attribute u2018Profile Statusu2019 points to Domain u2018RCF_PROFILE_STATUSu2019 which has the value range u20180 u2013 Lockedu2019 and u20182 u2013 Releasedu2019. Since u20180u2019 is first entry, WDC defaults to u20180u2019. I need to set u2018Profile Statusu2019 radio button to u20182 u2013 Releasedu2019.
It seems I canu2019t enhance the method u2018WDDOMODIFYVIEWu2019 of view u2018VW_RELEASE_PROFu2019.
Please let me know, how to achieve my requirement with in SAP enhancement option. Do let me know, if you need more details.

I am a bit confused by your question...because what I know is that when you make delta link of SAP Content ..make changes to it ....and then apply new patch the new SAP changes are applied to the custom content because of the delta link as well as the old custom changes are retained.....they are not overwritten....

Enhancing standard (single select)search help for Multiple value selection

Hi,
Standard search help for Business Partner (in cProjects) allows only single value selection for input fields. I want to make this multiple selection.
Is there a way to do it.
I used an OVS and built a similar search but its difficult to get the standard options like saving to personal value list etc in it.
It would be good if there is a way to modify the standard search help to allow multiple selection. Any ideas??

As far as I know you can't make a standard ABAP dictionary search help return multiple entries - where you get this sort of functionality the searches don't use the standard Elementary search help framework (e.g. organisational structure searches)
Given that the WDA search help relies on these dictionary based searches, I'd think very much that you couldn't enhance it to return multiple. how you could even return multiple entries into a single UI element input field is also confusing to me.
I'd suggest creating a freely programmed value help, it would certainly take quite some effort to recreate those personal value lists etc, but it could be done - I don't like OVS, but that just me.

6) Currently if we have Cell Variants, they have to be bound to context for the key values of corresponding cell editor.
If the key value doesnt match to any of the cell editor keys, application dumps saying invalid key. Instead of dumping, can there be a default editor, incase the key doesnt match?
7) ALV loosing the lead selection, when the view layout has sort order.
     - I understand that this is required up on certain context changes like rebinding complete data. However most of the times, we want to re-select the previous lead selection before ALV Refresh had reset it.
     As this happens inside Modify view of ALV, unless otherwise we use explicit Refresh, there is no other option.
     Is it possible for ALV to throw an event if the ALV services like Sort has lead to any context changes like Lost of Lead selection?
8) Search helps:
This requirement came from many users. Users would like to have custom search helps with in DDIC Search Help.
This can be any popup for performing search not just another DDIC search help. I am not sure but I think this is possible with Screen programming but not in WD.
Also more control is required to handle to F4 or Simulate F4, i.e. for example, to throw the same DDIC Search help if the user hits Enter.
The major functionality that users will miss, if they other search helps like OVS or Custom Search help, is the Personal Value List (PVL). Can we have some WD interface methods, that will help to enable/disable PVL with these custom search helps
9) Mandatory attributes check:
The current WD utilities mandatory attribute check method, does not return all the mandatory attributes for that View and context.
Also it works on lead selected data. Assuming there are hundreds of elements in context (for an ALV/Table), and the detail view has some mandatory attributes, this check has to be done every time for each and every lead selection.
Also, most of the times, the child node data changes based on parent node data. In these situations we will need all the mandatory attributes upfront and required checks has to be executed.
It will help a lot if the mandatory attributesto are passed back by the WD Utilities method once it calculates.

Issue while creating a enhancement window with Interface enabled check

Hello everyone,
i have a standard webdynpro component "fmca_wdy_return" to enhance. The component is one the applications configured in floor plan manager "FPM_OIF_COMPONENT".
we have created a tab on the FPM view and we need to configure the wda component window onto this view. The problem is when i create a new window as an enhancement in the wda component(FMCA_WDY_RETURN) it does not enable the interface check in the properties tab, if the interface is not checked we can configure the window in the FPM.
can someone explain the enhancement window is not interface check enabled? how can it be enabled? or is there any other solution for this?

Best possible approach to add fields in an FPM WDA application

Hi guys,
Our SRM 7 has FPM based WDA views. Extending the customer include by appending fields alone will not work for us as some fields are dropdowns that will perform actions and display/hide other custom fields.
I can think of the enhancement framework to enhance the views. Since i am knew to WDA and FPM I am thinking there is another easier way to do this.
What is the best possible approach to fulfil this requirement?

Thanks to responses from Chaitanya and Thomas.
I managed to create additional fields(with action assigned) in the standard shopping cart screens.
I extended the SRM header structure, added the custom fields of this structure in the header node of the context, and by binding the property of these fileds to the attributes, I don't have to code for the fields enable/disable when the transation is called in edit/create/display mode.
However, I am still struggling with the dropdown(with action). They remain enabled, even when the data has been saved or the transaction is in display mode. Hints?

Hi Rodrigo,
Firstly, list the Standard component under Component Usage of the Component which you are creating in your View.
Second, In the Custom Component, view, goto context, and try to add the node from the Standard component in to your view.
NOTE: The second step requires a Node in component controller of the Standard Component.
Finally, Now in your view, get the data from that and map the data.
NOTE: To do this, I think you need to call your Standard WDA first and then only your node contains data and it will be passed.

Who's who as WDA ESS?

I am a brand new IDES Enh. Pack 5 system that I am trying to convince to show me how the Who's Who employee self service works. Today we have a system with Enh. Pack 3 with all our employee data loaded, but we have not configured employee self services as we do not have a java based system to deploy it on.
As a proof of concept and to convince the correct people that we need to upgrade to Enh. Pack 5 sooner rather than later I would really like to be able to show a demo of the Who's Who application. But how can I demonstrate it? It seems like the IDES system has a number of employees defined in client 800, so the question that remains is only what type of configuration is missing. I have already googled quite a bit to try to find a configuration guide or a how to, but all the documentation that I can find relate to the java version of the ESS.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have to Java version, as this WHOs WHO is not yet available in WD ABAP , it should be in EHP6

Question: Using COnfigurations ID's, is there an option to default values for the fileds with drop downs. EX: Country filed shows several entries in candidate and recruiter applications. would it be possible to default USA in the country drop down filed using configuration ID's. If yes, please explain.
Version - E-rec 604 support pack 5. Webdynpro Interface, seperate front end and back end - candidate Scenerios #3 as per Note 1017866.
Request e-rec Pro's to post the solution, if they have faced this issue in there e-rec implementation exp.

preselecting values is not possible via configuration. You can only solve that by programming, thus creating enhancements to the WDA components.
