Hi,
I am using the URL Parameter WDDISABLEUSERPERSONALIZATION to disable the user personalization. It is working fine in Development system but not working in Quality. Is they any thing to check related to webdynpro settings ?
Please help me , if any body has the solution for this.

This is normal. There will be a difference as you are comparing Library Previews with the image in Develop which accesses the original file, although the difference is usually slight. Real results need to be judged from exporting after selecting the output sharpening e.g. for glossy paper, if printing or screen sharpening for web images or emailing.
The idea with sharpening is to apply capture sharpening so that the image in Develop looks just sharp but not over sharp. Lightroom then uses the correct algorithm for output sharpening based upon image size and quality settings etc.

Problems with quality in iDVD

I've been trying to burn a DVD using iDVD. I created a several videos in iMovie HD at 720p Quality. All of them look great in iMovie and are excellent quality when exported to .mov files, but when I place these iMovie projects (or the .mov files) into iDVD and burn them, the quality is dropped substantially. The size of the imported video is 2005 pixels by 1504 pixels in H.264 codec before it is imported into iMovie, and the quality from source file to iMovie is essentially the same. I've changed the quality to professional in iDVD and this has done nothing to the quality
Any thoughts or suggestions would be incredibly helpful. Thanks!

I had the same problem. I still have not been able to burn DVD's with iDVD even close to the same quality as the iMovie project looks, or even how the iDVD project looks.
Here's my work-around:
Instead, I first save the iDVD project to a disc image. I then use disk utility to burn the DVD. The quality of the burned DVD is significantly better when done this way-- in my experience anyways.
Here's what to do:
In iDVD, go to File>Save as Disc Image...
After you have created the disc image on the desktop, then open up Disc Utility.
Next, follow the instructions from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2087 which I have pasted below:
Disk Utility (Mac OS X 10.3 or later)
Open Disk Utility, in the Utilities folder (/Applications/Utilities).
If the disk image you want to use doesn't appear in the list, drag its icon to the Disk Utility window.
Select the disk image and click Burn.
Insert a blank CD or DVD into your computer's optical drive and follow the onscreen prompts.
Disk Copy (Mac OS X 10.0 through 10.2.8)
Open Disk Copy in the Utilities folder (/Applications/Utilities).
From the File menu, choose Burn Image. Don't open the disk image file before choosing this command.
A navigation dialog appears. Locate and select the disk image file.
Click Burn.
When prompted, insert a blank disc into the optical media drive.
Click Burn.
Depending on your computer's settings, the drive will eject the disc, or it will appear on the desktop when the burn is successfully completed.
Note: When burning a disc from a disk image, the burned disc will have the same format as the disk image. If you need a disc that will work on different computers, burn the disc in the Finder.

Problems with quality of image since upgrading to Adobe Reader XI version11.0

Since installing the new update I seem to be having a problem scanning files to PDF - first the scan missed off the bottom over every page but after several hours of changing settings on the computer and on the scanner (and actually uninstalling all printer and adobe software and reinstalling it again), this now seems to be ok - but the quality of the PDF is quite poor.
I can't work out how to get a better quality and I am sure it is something to do with PDF / Adobe because when I scan the document and save it as word / TIFF / JPEG, the image is brilliant. I also can't seem to save any of the TIFF / JPEG files to PDF.
Any ideas? The above problem is happening on my MAC and on the integrated Windows 7 via VMFusion Ware.

Good Day! I also noticed that after I installed the Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.1 that the image quality is very poor unless you zoom in a lot. If I open the same PDF file with Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0, the image quality is very good. There must be an issue with Reader XI Ver 11.0.1. Also, I have found that if I select text and copy it to the clipboard, an error message pops up. The text is, in fact, copied to the clipboard, so I don't know what the error is. The error box is created by Adobe, not Microsoft Windows.

Transporting problem to quality

Hi friends,
i'm receiving a problem while importing the requests to quality. imorting is ending with error : 8 i.e object has not be over written.
but the problem is i am receving errors when i'm transporting newly developed objects. how to come over it. do i have to copy and create new one.

Flash 8 problems with quality

OK got a flash template and it looks nice, so go into flash
edit it then previe it and the quality is terrible... I have
compression off and JPEG quality to 100%.. why is it doing this????

Graphic,texture problem(not quality)

My system configuration
amd athlon 64 3500+,
msi K8N NEO2 Platinum,
leadtek A400 tdh geforce 6800,
a-data vitesta ddr 500,
thermaltake 420W.
In all games textures is not quality enough, I play games like they are in safe mode and like there is no hardware support to manipulate textures for good looking and some other visuality things.And also in windows some texture formats have poor quality.I tested some hardware, asus a8v,geforce 256,asus tnt2,ati 9600xt... (still got problem)
Also my 5 friends have same problem , and a sample system configuration that one of them's have is amd 750, geforce 256.
is there anybody got any idea or same problem...

I installed at first NVIDIA chipset driver 5.10. Windows XP SP 2 comes with directX 9c. Secondly I installed NVIDIA display driver 66.93. Set the motherboards bios to 1.3 version... still got the problem. any idea?
My pal I talked about did not have the problem until he installed SP 2 and the new nvidia drivers. Earlier everything seemed OK with windows 98 and older drivers. His problem might be that his bios is not updated, so there is a conflict with XP. As the problem for him and me is exactly the same, it is possible that even though my bios is updated conflict exist for both XP and 98. Orin a direct way the bios I installed is not supporting any of the graphics cards I tried with my system.(9600 ATI Xt, ASUS TNT 2, LEADTEK Geforce 256).
No matter how much it sounds like a specific problem I am talking about, until I told them none of my friends could notice that there existed a problem with their textures.

Surely, you must understand that your question is impossible to answer, but anyway I can get you some opions about it.
MSI 865pe platinum are built of quality components and have passed several Q-controls before reaching the market for sale.

Still there will never be a 100% guarantee, that some boards will have some faults
of some reasons and have to be RMA:ed.
Nearly all PC componenets are sensitive for elektromagnetic´s and electrical shocks, so be very careful when touching the motherboard and it´s components and see to it that you get yourself "statical unloaded" before touching anything.
and always unplug power cable when doing something inside the PC.
Second you have to get a high-quality PSU that has built-in power overload protection.
You can not protect yourself from power breakdowns, unless you get your own powerstation.
Anyway, my 865pe platinum have survived a couple of power breakdown´s.
But if it should be damaged because of heavy power overload / bad PSU I would not be too sure that it will be within the official guarantee anyway.

Problems editing quality in photoshop cs3 extended

i have a espsom stylus r2880, when i go into photo shop to print it i can edit the paper size but not the quality and if i go into preview on my mac i am able to edit it all, i have the latest empsom drivers.

Problem in quality server after transport

Yesterday i have transferred a function group from development to quality. It's transorted successfully .All the function module under this group are active. but the status function group shows 'Inactive' because in main program the include is not active. when i go for a syntax check it is correct. while activating it it says <b> "the object is in the worklist of D_tal"</b>
N.B. It was earlier transported to quality . it was working fine in quality. later somebody has deleted some function module from quality and also some unicode check issue was there in quality . so we corrected it in development and created a new Transport request for that function group and transported it.
Why that error "the object is in the worklist of D_tal" is coming.

Hi,
When you transport request into Quality, there will be an option to overwrite existing (Force into system) objects in that system. Ask you BASIS to do the same.
Caution: Transport request objects belongs to that Function group only. It should not impact any other object.

Field Exits problem in Quality system after trasports

Dear Freinds,
We did Field Exit changes in Developement system and the changes are working perfect when we tested.
Where as we transport the changes to QA(Quality system) the filed exit is not working. We checked the code, and the code was moved to QA. We set the flag for field by sitting Basis guys (field status as YES). Even though field exit changes are not working in QA.
Could you please suggest is there any other settings we have to make sure to work this feild exit in QA...? And in case any manuval settings in QA the same we need to do in prodcution manuvally..

the profile parameter should be set on ALL application servers & system should be restarted. If your exits do not work after that, just try to deactivate/activate your exits directly on QA system. It will certainly help.

Problems with Quality of Raw file when pulled into Photoshop

I use Photoshop CS3 with ACR plugin version 4.6.0.30 installed. When I pull my RAW files into it, I seem to lose a lot of information. For example I took a picture of my black dog. I set the camera (Canon 40d) to save the file in both RAW and high res JPG. When I pull both files directly into photoshop the JPG has more detail information in the highlights and shadows than the RAW file does. This should be the reverse. To see if the problem was in the file or in the process of pulling it into photoshop I also pulled it in through Lightroom. Then I used Zoom Browser (software that came with my camera). Zoom Browser forced me to convert to a TIFF before importing it to Photoshop. I'll try attaching a file I made that shows the results of each.
My conclusion is that there is not a problem with the CR2 file, since the CR2 file converted to the TIFF has the most detail, but something is happening when I import it into photoshop. I just don't know what settings I should be looking at to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Camera Raw 101: ACR has different baseline "Defaults" than the Canon software, therefore you will need to make your own adjustments–and perhaps save out a new ACR Default. Canon's software only has to worry about a small sampling of cameras. Camera Raw supports over 230 cameras' raw files. As a result Canon's software tends to match the in camera JPEG and the camera's LCD by default.
Camera Raw on the other hand is more concerned offering a normalized default rendering of the raw data. Rather than trying to force a certain "look" (generally higher in contrast and more saturated) ACR will show the raw data a bit flatter and less saturated.
Fact is, Camera Raw has a huge number of controls for the express purpose of allowing the user to maintain total control over the rendering of the raw data...what you need to do is learn how to use all the sliders....

Problems with quality of Widescreen layered menu

I'm trying to create a layered menu in dvd studio pro at 16:9 ratio. Every time I import my photoshop document it looks really pixelated. I've tried saving my photoshop document with the following settings:
NTSC DV Widescreen Preset (720x480) - when I import into dvd studio pro and place into a layered menu it reads it as 720x480 and I get pillars on each side. Is there a way to make dvd studio pro interpret the photoshop document as anamorphic?
I've also tried recreating my photoshop document in the ratios below. Each time it fills the entire widescreen but it looks pixelated and crappy.
1280x720
864x480 (both square and reg pixels)
720x576
It looks awesome in Photoshop then looks terrible in DVD Studio Pro. I've recreated in 4:3 and my graphics look great. It's just when I do it in 16:9 where I run into the problems. Where am I going wrong? Please help if you can.

I figured out the issue. This is for anyone who is having the same annoying issue.
If you want a standard definition 16:9 layered menu what you have to do is create your photoshop document at 720x480 widescreen. After you have it all created how you like in wide screen you have to then change your image to 720x480 (NOT WIDESCREEN!) It will looked stretched and distorted in photoshop. Import it into dvd studio pro and change the menu to widescreen. When you change to widescreen it will stretch your image to fit and by doing that it will no longer be distorted - nor will it look pixelated or have pillars.
This is a totally stupid issue that DVD Studio Pro should fix. Wow, what a headache.

Problems with "Quality" in iMovie-movies...

Look at the picture from til movie. It has "stripes/hatching" (in lack of the right english word), and that appears on all (?) my movies. Anyone know why? Is has been recorded by a 2 year old canon hd cam, so the quality should be sufficent...

on playback on TVs, the interlaced stripes will be gone.
or, you manually de-interlace the video.
interlaced is a relict from arial-broadcasting to tubes - in modern workflows of little use, no 'flat screen' can display interlaced/interlaced video gets automatically de-interlaced anyhow somewhere in the delivery chain:
on Import in iM, on export, at youtube, on your telly ....
all fine …

Problems with quality of logo images

So I am entering this amateur film contest and have been having some trouble with inserting some pictures.
The rules requires that I include the logos of the companies sponsoring the contest. Those logos can be downloaded here: http://filmfestival.racerxonline.com/ (click on the "download assets" link).
They have most of the logos in .ai format, which on my mac I can view just fine but iMovie09 can't use. I converted them to .jpg, but when I insert them into iMovie09 they get blown up all huge to take up the whole screen and are all pixelated and just look like crap.
I can't seem to find anything to make them smaller in iMovie so I'm wondering what settings I need to change to make it so they don't get blown up and all huge and pixelated and crap looking.

the suffix .ai tells us Adobe Illustrator, a vector format, no use in a video app.
did you try 'Preview' for conversion?
did you try to use Adobe's photoshop.com, the online Photoshop for free?
plus, I would 'assemble' all logos in some paint-app, in final size and position, and create some 1920x1080 or whatever res you need ..
