We are running System OS 10.4.11 and we would like to install Firefox. I know the newest version requires 10.5 and above. Is there a way around this without updating our system?

Firefox 4 and above requires Mac OS X 10.5 or greater and will '''only run on an Intel Mac'''. Mac OS X 10.4 users, and 10.5 users with a '''PPC Mac''', can run the latest 3.6 series available [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older here].
You could also try [http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ TenFourMac], which is a fork of Firefox and is based on Mozilla 2.0 and Firefox 4 code.

Sooooooo sick of trying to fix the bug with the newest version of itunes and Windows 7. I'm over it. Tried syncing ipod to hubby's laptop. When update and sync was complete, all my apps, music, and pictures were gone. When I open my itunes account on his computer, they are gone from there as well. I cannot open itunes on my computer because I cannot fix the compatability issue. Don't tell me how to go to 'computer', click 'program files' etc. etc...... Did that, unchecked compatability mode and nothing is fixed. About to take a hammer to darned thing.
Also, I have forgotten the password to my backup file, which could solve everthing. I don't really remember ever setting a password for the backup file. Tried every password I've ever used with this device.

I have an iMac with a 10.4.11 operating system. When I click on iTunes Store, I no longer get the iTunes screen, instead, I get a new iTunes download screen.
I can't download the new iTunes without upgrading my operating system. Is there a way around this problem without buying the new operating system?
I haven't been able to download songs for awhile now.which version of iTunes are you on ? if it's earlier than iTunes 9.2.1, get it here.

I have recently purchased MacBook Pro with Mac OSX 10.7.3 Lion and I would like to install Final Cut Pro 6 Studio2, and it came up with this error: 'you can't open application FinalCutProStudio.mpkg because PowerPc apps are no longer supported......Is there a way to run FCP6 on lion withoput this error? My folders that my message rules on iCloud divert emails to don't update when I open Mail on my iPad or iPhone. Only the inbox does. I have to click on each folder individually for it to update. A real pain as I have about 30 folders. Is there a way around this ? The folders update on my mac fine when i check mail without having to select each one of them. Can the iPad and iPhone do the same thing?
My Mac has 4 mail accounts coming into it, but you are correct, one of them is a POP account, (and unfortunately it is the main @ account, and is the one associated with my apple id, since we've had it for years). I couldn't figure out how to replace this with the Imap version, short of deleting that account entirely.
Is this what I have to do?

I recently upgraded from OS 10.5 on a PowerMac G5 to an early Intel Mac Pro running 10.7.5. To my consternation, I now find that my scroll wheel operates backwards from what I'm used to. Did Apple make a change that caused that? Is there any way around this?
Apple didn't make this easy, did they! When Lion first came out, I think that check box was under the Trackpad heading of the System Preferences, whether you actually had a trackpad or not. I take it there's nothing there, either?
I plugged a plain ol' three button Logitech mouse into the iMac, and while the Mouse panel options did change some, the same check box for Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating was there. -
I have OS 10.5.8 and am unable to run ITunes or IPhoto. I can reinstall I tunes, but it says I need the newest version of QuickTime, which I already have. Any help would be appreciated!

I have 5 computers authorized on my account and I would like to deauthorize all of them. When I try it tells me I cannot do so until January 2016. Is there a way around this? I no longer have access to the computers that are authorized.
Did you recently deauthorize a bunch of computers? You can only deauthorize all once year.

Why are HP printer cartridges country specific? Is there any way around this?
I have just moved from the UK to Newfoundland, Canada and I have brought my HP PSC 1610 printer with me. I was advised not to bring any cartridges with me because they would explode during the flight so I had to buy new cartridges upon arrival.
I noticed that the cartridge numbers recommended for my printer were similar but not exactly the same but the (HP, etc.) websites I looked at did not mention that HP printer cartridges country specific.
In the UK black cartridge is an HP338 (C8765EE).
In Canada the websites told me that the black cartridge is a 94 (C8765WC).
I ordered a 94 cartridge (which took an indordinate amount of time to be delivered) and when I installed it my printer would not accept it ("not intended for use in this printer" error message) even though it fit perfectly. I looked at the packaging in greater detail and noticed that I had been sent a 94 (C8765WL) and I also noticed (in a very small font size) "for sale only in Latin America".
My questions are therefore:
1) Why are HP printer cartridges country specific?
2) Is there any way around this? Eg is there anything I can do to my printer/ laptop to tell it to accept this cartridge?
3) Are 94/ C8765WL cartidges compatible with 94/ C8765WC cartirdges? Ie did the supplier sell me something that couldn't be used even if I had a Canadian HP PSC 1610 printer?
4) Can I return the cartridges to the supplier given that it is based in Canada, they delivered it to me in Canada and yet they sold me a product that says "for sale only in Latin America"?

anenglishmaninsaintjohnsYou will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work. HP's web page on the subject is here.

I have many thousands of songs in my itunes library. Unfortunately, most are now pointing toward .jpgs instead of the m4a files in my itunes library. Is there anyway to fix this without reimporting all the files into itunes from scratch?
OMG...I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Since my computer is a goner, I don't have any other way to access all that music.

Hi! It seems you found a bug on iOS 7.1
To disable Voice dials try this, (I saw in an iPhone website here in Brazil):
1. Turn on Siri (settings > General > Siri)
2. go to (Settings >Passcode > Voice Dial) trust me, it appears now
3. disable Voice Dial
4. go back and disable Siri

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it needs to be valid. Have you tried removing it from yoru account ? On your iPad try tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and selecting 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. -
