All they're interested in is selling.
Free upgrades were only available for a period of about a month or two after the introduction of Lion, last July.
Which begs the question as to how 'new' that Mac was when you bought it - by then they all shipped with Lion.
Sounds like old stock being shifted, or maybe even a return.

I have found the answer thanks - reset network settings.
To reset your network settings, tap Settings > General, then scroll down and tap Reset > Reset Network Settings.

They will simply use Migration Assistant to transfer your Home folder, third-party applications and support files, and system preferences. This is something you could do yourself. You would need a Firewire cable to connect between your old computer and your new one. Migration Assistant is installed in the Utilities folder of your new computer.

I bought a IPad Mini in January and cable just started going bad 2 days ago.

I bought a iPad Mini in January and the lightning charging cable is having issues very sensitive and will stop charge if moved to much.theres no sign of damage on the cord and it doesnt get bent. so is this a common thing with these cables? it seems to be loose by the neck of the lightning pin it just started 2 days ago. thought it was my power sources, though now I've confirmed it's the cable that's loose. does anyone else have this issue? does anyone have a suggestion for a better cable that's durable? I have seen a lightning cable flat wire, which seems to be a better choice. though I'm not sure. it needs to be durable and long it seems to be hard to find the best one. so any suggestions?

why dont they make other types of offical Apple lighting cords is that so hard? Theres ones out there by other companys who have made the lightning cord wire thicker and more durable, its like the choices at the moment are keep getting a replacement cord from Apple until (A) you get one that stays working or (B) the year warrenty run out and your forced to buy a new cord..... well I'll be on route to contacting apple for a replacement cord and pray and hope that I get to stick to plan (A) I thank all who have replied. though I have a new question to the community before this topic gets solved or closed. .. and by the way, the jump from FCP 6.0.3 to FCP 7.0 (or higher) isn't an "update" It's a full version "upgrade" that has to be done using the install discs (or disc images).

But the external monitor remain black… so I turn it off then turn it back on, it said "No VGA signal". Does it means I have to use VGA adapter instead? you can try resetting the network settings in settings or you can try doing a reset - hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release. Then wait for the phone to boot back up. You won't lose any data.

Any advice welcome.

To clear to old before passing it on, open the Settings app and tap on General (left hand menu). Scroll down and tap on settings, then tap on Erase All Content and Settings.
If you have been synching the iPad to iTunes on a computer, you should also have backed it up. If you havn't backed it, you will want to do so before clearing the settings and use the back up to set up your new iPad.

You need the 'Domain' file in which iWeb keeps its data. This lives by default in (user)/Library/Application Support/iWeb. You need to locate it on the old machine and copy it to the same position in the new machine. Note that it is the Library folder in your Home folder, not the one at root level.
This folder is hidden on Lion and above; to access it, in the Finder go to the ‘Go’ menu and hold down the Option (Alt) key; the Library folder will appear as a choice. In Mavericks you can make it permanently visible - open your Home Folder the from the Finder's View menu, choose show View Options and check Show User Library.
