Can we remove the Technical name appearing in the standard SAP BI Pop-Up Varaiable Screen(Selection Screen)-When we create Variable screen for BI Reporting we should specify the technical name and create it,where it appears in the Pop-Up screen within the brackets,can technical name be removed ?

I created a Custom list New Form and need to make the text fields read only

When I use SharePoint Designer and add the read only attribute to the SharePoint form field, then it throws a web part error.
but here is the thing, I have current user Filters populating the Form Fields. So the form fields populate First name , last name etc. and I need these fields read-only....
the Client doesn t want the end user to Change those fields. Is there any way to "LOCK" the form fields?
As I have only 7 text fields that need to be locked down. and one field is a signature line that is a true input field.. where the user has to inter their initials.
Any ideas? as I have tried most of the items available thru searches nothing works, or it throws that web part error message.

I used SharePoint Designer.
Steps:
created a web part page
then on the SharePoint Designer ribbon I then went to insert:
new item form
Then I selected my data source (list)
then I placed the 8 columns on the page
a page viewer web part to pull the manual that people have to read.
and 7 current user filter webparts. (1 for each form field) Yes it is over kill, but I'm trying to keep this straight out of box as much as possible...
then for the form fields
I added a parameter and the read only tag see below in bold:

the error message doesn't tell me much, it just send me to web part maintenance page...
if I removed the ReadOnly = True then the error goes away..... So I was trying to find a quick simple JQuery and or javascript code item that would make the 7 text fields readonly and leave the
8th text field alone to allow people to place their initials on the page to say that they read the manual.
I have created hundreds of these types of pages .. this is the first time I have run into this issue, but it also the first time I have tried to use the ReadOnly = True item.
Any Ideas and or thought on how to make the items read only? and not throw the error.

I have created a maintanence gererator for table Z_test where i use to maintain description in different languages
like EN and DE.
but instead of this i want to use standard SAP translation method for translation(instead of maintaining in various languages)

In the standard table say example MAKT in which Maktx is for material descriiption.
Now when you create a material using MM01 in EN language say your language the description get stores in english language..
similary if you login in DE language and create a material using MM01 te description for the material gets stored in login language in maktx field.. This is how it works for different logon languages..
so if you are fectching the maktx from makt you can use in the below way
select matnr
          maktx
         from makt
         into table itab
        where matnr = 'your required material number' and
                    spras = sy-langu.
now by the above select statment it gets the description in your logon language..
I guess there is no transalation given by sap to transalate the records from one language to other language.. I surely believe there is no such option given for your case.
In your case you need to use
select mandt
          field
         spras
         fielddes
         from Z_test
        into itab
        where spras = sy-langu.
you will get the descrition in your logon language.

The internet is a conceptual entity not a physical entity so you are never connected to it.
As a conceptual entity the internet is represented by a cloud of computing devices (computers, gateways, routers, etc.)
Your computer connects to a another computer by being routed through various devices and then finally connecting to that remote computer.
Depending on various thing you can measure the time that you can connect to other devices by either pinging a common IP in the internet (such as yahoo.com) or by pinging the router that that represents the entry point for your cloud (such as the router/gateway of your ISP.)
If you are concerned about a particular connection, such a specific remote computer, then using a socket and sending a 'keep-alive' message and recieving the response is the best way to track that.

Why would you go for nested OU inside the default OUs? ;-)
i have more then 1 domain controllers and sites .. it was done to implement different policies on different DCs .. and to standardize the things in better way

no the error way bcos of my domain controllers were in nested OU .. i move them to root OU .. at the same time i remove
empty OU in my domain (it was for test purpose etc.). not sure if the empty OU were also causing problem .. but for sure it were nested OU under "domain controllers OU" ...

How to add a Custom field in the Standard SAP Sales Order main screen

We have a requirement of adding a Custom field in the Sales Order screen. I know how to add the Customer field in the Additional data B tab of the Sales Order Header Screen as that is the screen user exit provided by SAP. Can someone tell me how to add the Custom field in the Sales Order main screen. Program Name - SAPMV45A and Screen Number - 4001. What is all I need to take care.
