We can't export as .m2ts files?? how can i retain full quality?

so we can import .m2ts files into CS4, we can edit them in CS4, but we can't export them out of CS4?
how can I retain full quality?

i see, well i have the hdr-sr12. you can export to h264 blu-ray, then do the following - NTSC, 1920x1080, framerate(mostly you would want 29.97), Field order: UPPER, Profile: HIGH, LEVEL 4.0, VBR-2-pass: 16mbps target rate with max of 18mbps. After that, export and see how it looks like on VLC or windows media player.

  • How to export a fireworks file to flash while retaining image quality?

I created a banner for our website using fireworks cs3. Part of the banner has aimation (basically a slide show of 6 photos). I've tried to export the files by saving the frams to files, but when I do this, the image quality really gets bad. When I try to change the export settings and change the dither, everything but the last frame looks better and the last frame looks like a yellow color is splattered all over it....I've tried just saving the file as an .swf file but when I do so, the file doesn't work when I insert it into my web page, it doesn't work.  Is there a better way to do this?  Can I export as something else then import into flash and still retain my image quality?  Thanks for any input and help!

How are you inserting the file?

  • Can I stream full quality, non iTunes HD movies with Apple TV 3?

I’m thinking about getting an Apple TV but want to know if I can stream my 1080p movies that are not in iTunes at full quality?
I have a 13’’ MacBook Pro with a 1280x800 native resolution and a 50’’ LG Plasma TV with a 1920×1080 resolution.  If I play a 1080p movie on my MBP in QuickTime/VLC etc. will Apple TV stream the full resolution or just match my MBP lower resolution?
Also, some of my HD movies are 1GB and some are 10GB. Can Apple TV handle that?

AppleTV can only access compatible video in iTunes via its menu system.
If your Mac supports Airplay mirroring you will potentially  be able to screen share the video but none of mine are new enough to test.  Airplay mirroring uses screen sharing type software so the video seen on AppleTv will be a recompressed video output from the Mac and quality may suffer especially if network isn't that fast.
I believe mirroring maxes out at 720p but can't confirm.
If this video is unprotected you'd be better off converting to AppleTv conpatible h264 and adding to iTunes so AppleTV can pull and decode the stream.

  • Now that I have my .M2T file, how do I bring back to PE7 and burn BluRay Disc?

I had an earlier thread regarding encoding and locking up at 97%. Since then I rendered the project out to viewing on a PC or creating a DVD. Now that I'm at that point I can't figure out how to bring back to PE7 and burn to BluRay. Any thoughts?

Not quite sure I understand. All you need to do is re-import the file using Get Media> From Files and folders. Then place the clip on the timeline, add disc menu markers and then Share>To Disc and select the Bluray option, after having added the menu.

  • How do you retain the quality of Canon HD DSLR files?

There is a noticeable loss of contrast (and color) when Canon 1D DSLR 1280x720 60fps files are loaded into Premiere Pro CS6, (by me).  Many different project settings give this same result.  Whether New Sequence - Project settings are Canon XF MPEG2, Digital SLR, AVCHD, or XD CAM HD422, I get nearly the same, (or identical) results.  Changing New Sequence>Settings to enable Maximum Bit Depth and Maximum Rendering Quality, made no difference for me.
(NOTE - Edit>Preferences>Memory>Optimize Rendering for 'memory' was selected and the program restarted, before enabling Maximum Rendering Quality).
Comparing source files played in Windows Media Player, VLC player, and Canon Zoom Browser, all showed higher contrast than in Premiere Pro: toggling between the different windows.  Comparing identical frame screen captures from Premiere Pro CS6 (bitmap) and Canon Zoom Browser (jpeg-highest quality) showed the same results.  At full zoom in Photoshop CS4, certain pixels showed near posterization in the Premiere screen shot.  It seemed that gray tones of medium brightness were affected most.
The Canon 1d DSLR stores files as a .MOV type, but I don't think Premiere considers this when loading source files.  I don't own the Quicktime program.
I don't have a CUDA graphics card, but I thought that this card was not supposed to affect file coding or de-coding, according to the Video2Brain hardware optimization tutorials.  Although it might have been that read and write TIMES were unaffected.  These tutorials covered a LOT of (good) material.  My notes say that CUDA cards most affect scaling, blending, 'effects' operations, color corrections, and framing.  Also, by setting New Sequence>Settings> to optimize rendering, I think I should have got  results similar to a CUDA card.
For me, the loss of contrast (and color) is a significant loss of image quality.  You get the same results from a dirty lens, or shooting through an unfocused obstacle.  I would appreciate any help in this matter.

Thanks John T. Smith, using the Video2Brain tutorial method got me a sequence format of AVC-Intra 100 720 60p, which is one I had not tried before.  I believe this format will give me the highest quality video for Canon 1D M4 1280x720 files.
What I see as far as contrast is very close to what I saw before.  Whether the contrast I see is good or bad depends both on personal opinion and monitor charactoristics; mainly the type of monitor and how the monitor is calibrated.  Yes I still see lower contrast in the Premiere video, compared to how its displayed in VLC, Windows Media Player and Canon Zoom Browser.  Based on my Photoshop experience the Premiere video seems to be going through some kind of low-pass filter.  Yes the contrast is less, but the noise is less as well.  How would the Premiere video look after adjustment layers, or Shadow highlight combined with resharpening I cannot say.   It might look good to me and bad to someone else or vise versa.  What I can say for certain in my mind, is that the Premiere video seems to go through some kind of low pass filtering compared to little or no low pass filtering for what you see in the other 3 programs.  And based on my personal habits, I would probably be tempted at this point to adjust that low pass filter in some way.  However, it seems that standard practice would be to apply adjustment layers, etc as I mentioned before.  I'll reserve my opinion for now.

  • Exporting an Pdf file to Excell while retaining the structure

    Hi
I have a bunch of archival inventories on which I ran OCR. When trying to export them as excell documents the structure was lost.
The structure is always the same and I am wondering wether there is a script I could write and run before the export in order to retain the structure.
Or for instance could I create a structures excell document and make the export match it? I did try the auto export with Acrobat Pro X1 and it is a disaster with such documents I am pretty sure it works well in other instances.
As I am looking for specific type of archival materials (inventories, wills, sales..) I need to be able to count them and retrieve the info attached to them in the inventory.
Typically an inventory line would be as follow
Calendro,            Francisco                                June 8,1780               P-400   being the page number  in the actual notarial book

I would suggest that there may be something in JavaScript that would help. However, for an individual file you can use the alt key during selection to select a table. There are also some options to try to recognize a table, but it works better if it is tagged -- not something you get from a scan.
I just did OCR to an image of an excel sheet. I was not able to save as tables in Excel with a message that no table could be found. This is where the tags would come in. I tried adding tags (in AA9 this is under Advanced>Accessibility), but it did not help.
I was able to select each column with the Select Text and Images tool. To select a column, hold down the alt key as you use the cursor for selection. You can copy the column to a spread sheet and repeat it for each column. This is cumbersome, but does the job. It may be that you can you JavaScript to select text in a window and copy it to an Excel file. I am going beyond my skill set, but suggestion what might be possible. In the meantime, you can work with the individual files.
    Good luck.

  • Export to .m2t ?

Premiere Elements 8 can export 1080i/30 AVCHD to .m2t file format (1080i/30 H264).
I don't see any option for Premiere Pro CS5 to do this. Am I missing it or is there another suggestion? They both use the MainConcept H.264 codec, but Premiere Pro typically uses .m4v when selecting the H264 output formats. Can Premiere Pro CS5 export to .m2t file formats?

I'm still using CS4 and I do this routinely; however, one thing...is there any way to desigate the bit
rate on this setting - from what I can see there is just one option for 4MBPS and it cannot be changed.
    Any ideas?

  • How do I retain the original HD standards after editing with iMovie ?

    Hello,
I have a camcorder that uses AVCHD. The image size is 1080 x 1440 and the audio codec is Dolby Digital at 448 kbps.
I can import these movies in to iMovie with no problem at all, likewise I can edit them and make a project.
However, when it come to sharing or publishing the project, the highest quality option I have is 'Apple TV' at a resolution of 960x540 with the sound being linear PCM stereo.
Is it possible to retain the original frame size of 1080 x 1440 with the original audio codec of Dolby Digital at 448 kbps ?

Well, being honest, I don't know that I need this. I was thinking that if I retain the original file size I would retain the quality.
I plan to store my finished project not on DVD but on my PS3 which has an external drive to hold my home movies.
When I view the original files in the 'raw' AVCHD format on the PS3 the image is ever so slightly better and I get to use the Dolby Digital soundtrack.
When I view my finished iMovie projects the frame size
(but not the picture) is reduced and this seems to be causing some very slight judder during panning shots. Also the soundtrack is just linear PCM.
I was theorising, that by retaining the original settings I would remove the slight judder and get to keep the digital soundtrack.
Is this the right approach ? or is something else causing these two issues ?

  • Exporting to iDVD vs. full quality QT movie

Is there any difference in quality if you export your movie to a Quicktime movie at full quality then bring that into iDVD, versus exporting the movie directly to iDVD? I've been making the QT movies and then bringing those into iDVD. I suspect you get the same thing either way, but would like to know if there is any difference.

No, there is no quality loss. I do that all the time, especially if my original movie is lengthy or complicated because the audio begins to distort. I put the new quicktime movie into a new iMovie and use that for iDVD. I also like to place my chapter markers on transitions, and with the quicktime movie, that is not a problem.

  • *** How to export as an .m2t file?

My rental shop would like me to try and export some of my HDV footage so that I can watch it on their recorder. It apparently allows you to watch HDV footage that is burned on a regular DVD and it's HDV quality.
The problem is, how do I create an .m2t file from Final Cut Pro?
    Thanks in advance.

I have an AVeL Link Player (JVC ProHD) SRDVD-100 that I bought to see if I could get my HD videos to an HD display for le$$ than producing HD-DVD or BD discs and after a lot of trials and errors I found a very fast an easy way to play HD in it using CD, DVD, USB or its network connection.
To accomplish, you need FCP or FCE to export your movie and then encode it with Compressor 2. The trick is that Compressor 2 does not have a preset for high definition (HD) .m2t files. You will have to create it and here is how...
    - Compressor has the correct setting (except audio muxing and file extension) in its "HD DVD: HD-MPEG2 30 minutes" settings folder.
    - Since you cannot duplicate it to modify it (at least it is grayed out from my side), create a new setting identical to it.
    - Change two things: in the 'Encoder' options, under the 'Extras' tab, have ONLY the "Multiplexed MPEG-2 transport" selected. Deselect the first two.
    - Make sure the extension is set to ".m2t"
    - Save it. Use it.
    - This is for HD! You might need to change a few things for SD or start differently.
Now, I can export my HD movies to a QT wrapper a have the fast Compressor 2 convert it to .m2t. I copy it to a CD, DVD, or thumb-drive and presto. It plays as HD. Since my footage has all been 720 24p, I have not test it at other resolutions and BTW, I don't even record with HDV. I use a Panasonic with DVCPRO HD.
It took me a lot to find a fast workflow and I really hope this can help you. For this device I even tried DviX and it works BUT, even at HD, DivX cannot compare to .m2t or H.264. Never. Plus it takes for ever to convert to DivX. Forever!

  • How do I export a .dwg file so the Search/Find function can be used on it?

I have some .dwg files that my co-worker exported to PDF. It is crucial for me to have the ability to use the search or "Find" function in Reader. There are 11 different .dwg files exported into an 11 page PDF, but some of the were exported with different properties. I can search on 4 of them, but the other 7 are unsearchable. I believe my co-worker user Autodesk TrueView to export the .dwg files to PDF. So my question is what program I should use (I believe that TrueView is capable of what I am trying to do, but I'm not sure) and how should I set up the the settings before I export it to PDF. Thanks.

You need to contact Autodesk, almost no one here is likely to be familiar with what Autodesk can or cannot do.

    Hi again Raja!
I did as you recommended and installed HTTPWatch and below is the outcome of that program. It is the exact string with the only exception of obfuscated servernames and portnumbers. The last part that begins with "sap_ep_baseurl=" makes me suspicious, is that part really correct? It looks like it's lacking things.

  • Can anyone explain how I go from a Sony HD camcorder .m2ts file to viewing the video in HD on either DVD or Blu-Ray?

I have recently started to edit footage taken on a Sony HD Camcorder using iMove 11.
Uploading the .m2ts file was no problem straight from the camera to iMovie, but I (stupidly) assumed that I could burn an HD DVD from iMovie/iDVD to view on a DVD player. I've done a bit of internet research to find out why the quality of the DVD is so bad i.e. SD rather than HD and I think I understand it. Just.
Further searching to find out our to convert AVCHD/.m2ts to either HD DVD or Blu-ray has boiled my brain. So much stuff I read was a couple of years old so I wasn't sure what is possible.
Can anyone tell me how I get to the point where I can upload the .m2ts to the iMac, edit the footage and burn a Blu-Ray or HD DVD?
    Cheers!

Booted the Mac this morning and it now works. I tried Alchroma's solution but whether the stereo is Plain or Matrix, it works both ways. I don't think that this was the solution as a result, but thanks for the suggestion. To confirm, my Easy set up is HD / AVCHD Apple 1920 x1080i60, the only thing I can think I did differently compared to yesterday is that I shut my Mac down having changed the Easy setup. Previously, I only changed the easy setup then closed FCE4 down.
