How can I get caller id to announce the caller from my contact list?

My old Motorolla and LG phones had a setting to speak the caller id before ringing. It took the names from the contact list or if not there would just call out the phone number and then go to the ringtone. Does the Iphone 4 not have this setting? I can't believe this "smart phone" which does just about everything would not have this function. What am I missing here?

I do have an iPhone 4S. It does not provide a talking caller ID. I too I'm surprised that such a feature is not on the iPhone. There seems to be an "app" for just about everything, but I've yet to find one that does this very simple function. There are some apps out there that do provide a form of caller ID, but they seem to require too much setting up for something so simple. I do have a work a round, but it is a poor subsitute for what we are both looking for. I have set different ringtones for some people in my contact list, so when I hear the tone, I do know who is calling. However, if you have a great deal of contacts, this method really would not work.

Do you have the "Green Arrow" icon on one of your toolbars? That usually will list your most recent downloads with a button to open the folder where they are saved.
If you don't have that, you can open the full download list using either:
* Ctrl+j
* Tools > Downloads
* History > Show All History, then click Downloads in the left column
Can you find the download listed there and click the "Open Containing Folder" button?
Are you downloading Flash or Acrobat/Reader?

For Acrobat/Reader, you may not need an update.
Firefox's plugin check site only recognizes the Adobe XI (11) series as current, but if you have checked for updates in your Adobe Reader X or Adobe Acrobat X product (Help > Check for Updates) then you do not need to update the plugin. For this older Reader/Acrobat version, please rely on Adobe for information on available updates and not the plugin check site.

Cannot Make Calls From Within Contacts

This has been a major problem, sometimes (it is random) when I go into my contacts, I cannot call someone by selecting their name and clicking the big green dial button. I must dial by entering the numbers manually. However, the problem is solved when I restart, but it reoccurs after a periods of usage (again, random). This does not seem to be an isolated problem, I have searched around and there seems to be others with this problem, but no solution has been offered. Thanks! If anyone can offer any insight into this, it will be greatly appreciated ^_^.

It is a Music Edition, and my Nokia Software updater is not picking up the newest firmware, it keeps saying my version is the latest. But there seems to be a later one floating around. Is there someway to download the standalone?

I had exactly the same problem with my 6630 but the reset never solved it. I think that was one of my only problems with it. I had to just restart it and it worked again. Onlly happened a few time mind so could just be a natural phenomena?Message Edited by taffytafftaf on 13-Feb-2007

DND deny call from all contacts

Hello there!
I'm expecting a call from an unknoown number from a country with a completely different time zone. I want to use the DND function the otherway around. Allow me to silence all calls from my contact list, and at the same time, allow calls from unknown/blocked numbers. Is that possible?
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not a Verizon user (I'm with Rogers, in Canada), so this obviously is not a Verizon issue. Would love to know why one second all my texts and calls had names associated with them, and then suddenly all the names were replaced by phone numbers.

I currently having problems when dialling with my 4S either from the contacts list, or when using the phone through bluetooth to my in-car system. The phone becomes confused regarding what method / route of connection handsfree, normal use or speaker.

Hi each time i use my 4S phone a dial from the contact list, the phone will not select a communication mode, either normal speaker or handsfree (car), I have to force the phone into speaker mode and the back to normal mode before I can speak to or listen to anyone. The annoying aspect is the recipient of my call can answer but cannot hear me nor I them.
What am I doing wrong, or is there an issue with the phone. The same situation occurs when the phone is used with bluetooth in my car, the previous iphone worked perfectly can you please advise.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. As Ocean20 said, there is no official function that does this built in. What you could do however is to find an app that mute calls that come from "blocked" numbers.

I upgraded Firefox (Wndows). I cannot make calls from Gmail anymore and I cannot opt out of all ads!

Starting to type a name and getting a list of matches is good but it's not a substitute for being able to choose twenty or thirty names from your address book and dragging them into the "To" field. Of course many contacts can be put into a group but I may want to send occasional emails to many people who don't fit any group, and there may be no need to create a group just for that email.

Now, you stated that you have reached out to technical support and spoke with a tier two technical support representative. At this time, what actions or troubleshooting steps were taken? Are you aware if a ticket with our network technicians was ever created? As well, have you ever previously had an iPhone and are you aware if the users that are unable to message you are using iMessage?
