We Could not complete your request, an unknown error occurred(2001).

Please help! I have had this problem multiple times and itunes support has always been able to help correct the problem, but now that my ipod is out of the one year warrenty period, they suddenly don't know what to do and blame it on windows vista and norton antivirus programs(SHOCKING!)I can get to the I tunes store and browse music, but when I attempt to purchase a song, it takes me to the terms of aggreement page and once I agree, it takes me to another error page. I also cannot view my account and get the 2001 error message when I try to authorize my computer. I have checked and double checked all of my firewall setings, internet settings, security settings, etc.. I even completely removed all noroton security programs from my computer. WHen I run a diagnostics test it states that I am connected to the internet and the store as well and that all is well, but alas, I still cannot download songs. I am no computer genuis and therefore would appriciate any advice! I have not been able to get any new tunes for almost a week now and am very unhappy with this situation!!! HELP!!!!

I am having the same issues but I have McAfee. I use to be able to download music with no issue and then recently I cannot download anything. Everything comes up error -50. I also disable all firewalls and check all connectivity but nothing they suggest works??? Any suggestions or a better site to buy music from?

  • Could not complete your request because an error occurred while printing

    Hi,
I am in Elements & keep getting this error when attempting to print "could not complete your request because an error occurred while printing".  I also get this error when I select page set up or more options.  My printers work with all of my other programs.  I am on Windows 8.1

  • CS4, Save PNG: "Could not complete your request. An error occurred."

Using Fireworks CS4 (v10.0.3.011), when I have been working on an image for a long time, with a long undo history list, if I attempt to save the image as a PNG, I receive an error "Could not complete your request. An error occurred."
I am on Windows XP SP3 (32-bit).  This error typically occurs when page file usage is around 2.4GB.
If there is a limit to how much RAM/pagefile Fireworks can use, can a warning not be implemented?
eg. you are about to pass the point of no return, at which stage your document will become unsaveable.
Is there no way undo history can be purged while an image is open?
This would dramatically reduce RAM/pagefile usage and potentially make the image saveable again.

My OS is 10.4.11. on 2 GHz Intel iMac.
I reread my orignial post and noticed a typo. I can save png's with PS "save for the web," but can't open those just-saved png files.
I did lots of things before I noticed that the png wasn't working. Don't know which may have caused a problem. Likely things? Well, I added a plugin for Ico. format. I deleted it because I thought it might have caused the conflict.
Assuming that was the problem, what can I do to restore the png file format?
I don't have disk warrior. I did run the maintenance utility yesterday. It runs crons, clears caches, deletes cookies, that kind of stuff.
I've never had a problem with it disabling plugins or causing any problems. Haven't run disk utility for a few weeks. Would that help?
I didn't download the replace png plugin from Adobe, but the original wasn't working anyway. I looked for a backup on the exernal drive, didn't find one, and downloaded another.
Next, I did a Photoshop reinstall thinking that might fix the problem, but it didn't.  Which plugin folder should the png plugin be place in. I've never been sure why there are two format folders;  the folder in plugins, and the folder in Photoshop only.

  • Install Xcode: We could not complete your purchase. Unknown Error.

After I upgrade the system to Mavericks, I remove the Xcode.
Then when I use the terminal, the system prompt saying whether to Get Xcode or Get Command Line Tools or something like that. (because I am using git)
Now I want to install the new version of Xcode, but MAS says: "We could not complete your purchase. Unknown Error."
I've tried all solutions out there can be found, like:
    1. sign out/back the account
    2. remove app store cookies
    3. delete the app store cache
    4. delete the /var/folders
    Nothing works.
I doubt it has something to do with the already working Command Line Tools. But I cannot find this can uninstall it since it is installed alone without Xcode.
    Please help.

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Select
    /var/log ▹ install.log
from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, start over and note the time. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

When I saved an Illustrator CS6 file to EPS format, I got "could not complete the requested operation. unknown error."
Google it and find some temp fix. run the illustrator by using "Run as admin" mode and fix the problem, but when use run as, can't see all the original user's mapping drives.
    So still need it fixed.

It is win 7 64 bit system and same error on Illustrator x86 and x64.

    Error 2000-2009 (2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, and so on)
If you experience this issue on a Mac, disconnect third-party devices, hubs, spare cables, displays, reset the SMC, and then try to restore. If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software. If the errors persist on another computer and known-good USB cable, the device may need service.

  • Getting "Could not complete your request" error all the time

Whenever I try to do anything in Fireworks CS6 (CC desktop version) I get the error message "Could not complete your request. An error occurred".  The only exception is when I try to preview an image I get "Could not render the database. An error occurred"
This literally happens with any action, from opening a file to changing any attribute of an object (e.g. colour, position, size).  Try to draw a new object - same error.  Delete one - same error.
Weirdly it does seem to complete the action after I "Ok" the error message.
    Any ideas?
I am running this on Mac OSX 10.9.1 on a pretty new MacBook Pro.  I've checked for updates and I'm running the latest version.  (I'm running the trial version, as I am trying to decide whether or not to switch over to CC from my desktop apps, but I would hope it is the same as the full commercial version)

For me the Fireworks stopped when it got to "Intializing Tab Windows", then a crashed and  displayed "Could not complete your request. an error occurred" and would never load. Basically dead. I couldn't use it at all. My whole workfow came to a stand still.Fireworks-Error.jpg
    BACKGROUND
Just before this happened, I was trying a new feature from within Dreamweaver. While inside Dreamweaver, I could double-click an image file and it opened in my Fireworks to be edited. I thought . . . Wow, this is really cool. I edited that image and closed it and continued on my work. Since then, that "Connection" between applications has become permanent. Fireworks "THINKS" it is still connected to Dreamweaver. Later Fireworks would NOT open/load at. I would always get the above error.
    PARTIAL SOLUTION
BTW: I had to do this twice, because the first time, I missed a file somewhere.
I had to completely uninstall all ADOBE applications. I mean everything! I had CS3 & CS4 and Adobe Readers on my system.
Since I'm on the mac, I went through the "Application Support" both user and system and the "Preferences" for both user and system and deleted everything that had either "adobe" or "macromedia" in it. There was also a file in the "Launch Agent & Daemons".
I emptied the trash and did a power off restart. Then I reinstalled CS6. Now Fireworks at least loads and I can use it again, but it still isn't the same.
    OBSERVATION
Fireworks and Dreamweaver are still "Connected". It won't save an existing PNG file as itself, it displays an error, "That file is open in another application", which is NOT true. I have to use the "Save As" option, and use the Finder to rename that file. I also notice an extra file labeled ex:0000056 which looks like the file I tried to save.
So at least I can use my Fireworks again although it is irritating. I don't know how to "CUT" the connection between applications. Uninstalling & reinstalling did NOT reset this, the only option left would be a backup, wipe and fresh install of my entire laptop. I just don't have time to do that right now. Hope that helps someone else.

  • CS6- FW- When saving file, I get "Could not complete your request"

In great anticipation, I downloaded the trial version of Fireworks (CS6). I loaded all my custom Styles; Swatches; Symbols; Keyboard Shortcuts...
Spent a few minutes in my document. When I tried to save my document, I got the same/dreaded dialog (see attachment) I've endured from CS5:
    "Could not complete your request.
    An error occurred."
Ugh... this is the most frustrating dialog (it isn't very descriptive or prescriptive; and i can't save any of my work). this is a known issue (at least since 2009) and yet they haven't fixed it. this upgrade suddenly is useless to me. Same bug I experience for CS5.
    Any advice/suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sasha

Does anyone have any other ideas as this is very frustrating.
    Thanks,
    James

  • Error: Could not complete your request because an unknown command was encountered.

I've been working on a file in FreeHand 11 for a few months
now, and for some reason after saving and closing the file about a
week ago, I can no longer open it - on either of my computers (both
PCs, one running XP, one running Vista). When I attempt to do so, I
am presented with the following error message:
Could not complete your request because an unknown command
    was encountered.
Is there any possible way to fix this?

Haha. I know. I was stupid... The last backup of the file is
four months old. Unfortunately I've done quite a lot of work on it
    since then...
One interesting thing though, is that I can still see the
thumbnail picture in Windows Explorer. Also, I'm able to open the
file with Fireworks, but none of the hidden layers (most of my
    work) are there.
I just tried to open it again on my desktop. Same error
    message (but in German)...:
"Ihre Anforderung konnte nicht ausgeführt werden. Ein
    unbekannter Fehler ist aufgetreten." :S

  • How do I fix "Could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker type is found"?

Could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker type is found
The above messagecomes up on a lot of my photoshop files that have been recovered from a damaged disk - can this be fixed?
    Thanks, Phil.

That's a pretty good indication that the data inside the files is corrupted.
You *might* be able to get some of the image back by opening it in different tools that can open JPEGs.  But very likely none will be able to recover all the image data perfectly.
Check Irfan View as a viewer with some resiliency for opening corrupted files.

  • Could not complete your request...Help

I am getting a Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document error on one particular file. I got this file from yousendit.com, it is a large photo file, 75megs, and I believe came from a mac...it has not extension. I tried adding an extension, thinking tif was probable. With a tif ext. I can open the file in Bridge CS4, but it will not open in PS CS4 or CameraRaw.
I have opened the file in a binary text reader and in the header info, it mentions Accusoft Inc.and a bunch of other stuff (unknown to me) plus a lot of tiff specs.
I have to have this image for a book I'm doing but am unable to resize, change to cymk etc.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    thanks
    jon

Glad that you got the file Opened.
PS is very critical, while other programs are not so picky. In the valiant attempt to create 100% perfect output, Adobe is often more sensitive to input. Sometimes, you have to think outside of the Adobe box - not that the box is, in any way flawed, it's just sensitive.
I use many tools, and sometimes have to wing it, with guesses on file extensions from Mac's. Sometimes, it takes many unsuccessful tries (guesses), to get it right.
    Thanks for reporting your success!
    Happy editing,
    Hunt
PS - I often hear "Could not complete your request... " from my wife, and she does not even use Photoshop!!!!!
