We have 2 itune accounts. Our original acct & a 2nd we set up when I got my macbook. Is there any way to sync my iphone & ipod to both accounts to retrieve all music??
You can only sync to one account but you can use Home Sharing to share iTunes libraries...

I have two macs so I obviously have two itunes libraries. I have purchased things on both my desktop and my laptop UNDER THE SAME ACCOUNT.
How Can I add/sync media from both without having to erase EVERYTHING. So ridiculous.
ThanksTo share the iTunes content between your computers, just enable Home Sharing from iTunes > File > Home Sharing.
You'll still have to sync the iPhone with just one iTunes library because of the copyright restrictions that iTunes must follow.

I lost my entire 24inch which is the computer i used to sync my iphone. Now I want to sync my iphone to get my photos backed up but my apple lap top says its not the itunes which it was synce with. I suggest to copy all your files in your external drive to your Macbook and reformat that external drive to Mac OS Extended Journaled or exFat.
Once you've done that - then copy all the files back to your external drive.
Do not format your external drive if you haven't copied whats in your external drive. You'll lose everything. -
Can't sync my iPhone to both my PC & Mac...now what?
I was initially able to do a sync from my Mac (photos, podcasts, audiobooks and videos), then connected iPhone to my work PC laptop and only checked on the "info" page: calendar and contacts (Outlook) and bookmarks (IE). The first sync worked, and it had everything on it. But then when I went to reconnect the iPhone to the Mac, it wont show up under devices now and comes up with an unknown error. I had to do a restore.
Not sure what to do; I can't migrate all of my data together on one machine (cant dump my "fun" media on my work laptop, and can't keep calendars & contacts updated if they reside on the Mac (since they are Exchange based in Outlook). So:
1. Are there maybe any sync programs out there that would syncronize my PC calendar & contacts to the Mac (so the iPhone can just have the partnership with the Mac)
2. Has anyone figured out a way to allow to iPhone to go back and forth between the PC & Mac for syncing (as long as they are not trying to sync the same type of data)?
Any other thoughts out there - I know I'm not alone! ThanksI figured it out!!!! (PTBoater, you led me down the right path!). You have to do as you mentioned, uncheck "automatically sync" on the info page, and check "only syn checked items". Then after you finish syncing with either the Mac or PC, uncheck both of them, click apply, and disconnect and the device should be recognized by the other machine. This worked for me...hopefully it will work for any of you guys out there struggling with it..let me know...

Basically, my iphone has been in the same apple ID as my dads iphone and mac book, so my iphone has always been synced to his macbook. I bought myself a mac book the other day and want to sync my iphone to it. However i have obviously put my mac book in a different apple id as i know pay for things i download myself, how can I sync my iphone to my mac book without losing all the music and pictures on it? ive now put my iphone into my new apple id thinking this might help? ive also tried clicking 'manually manage music and video' but this doesnt seem to work, it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.

Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content. -

I can not sync my IPhone to My Imac. I have the latest version of ITunes on my Imac. I have tried reseting my phone (3), changing ports. Nothing works. I was thinking maybe my phone has the earlier version of ITunes but I can't update it.

Download iTunes 11 from the Apple site and reinstall. The error message was quite plain in telling you what to do to resolve the error.

Would be much appreciated.The iphone is not a backup/storage device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.

I recently updated from Windows 8 to 8.1. Now I can't sync my iPhone 5. I have the latest version of iTunes and my phone is updated as well. It worked fine with Windows 8. Now iTunes doesn't show my phone when it's connected. My computer does recognize that my phone is connected. Is there a fix for Windows 8.1?
