We have 4 different iOS devices in the same household. 2 iPhones, iPad Air

Hello. We currently have 2 iphones, an iMac & an iPad Air in our household. We have 1 iTunes account & have always had one email address. We would like each iOS device to basically have its own identity. Mainly when using something such as Facetime. I would like each phone to only be contacted on Facetime by someone calling that particular phone's number. And then when someone calls the iMac on Facetime, as of right now, it's being reached by someone calling our email address. And we just got the iPad Air & I would like that to be reached separately. So when having 1 iTunes account & 1 email, as of now, how can I set this up? Because right now when someone tries calling us on Facetime using our email address, it contacts all the devices.  Also, I would like iMessages coming into one of the iPhones & the iPad to be linked, and the other iPhone & the iMac to be linked for iMessages. Could someone please help? Thanks!

You will all need to be on the same itunes account ID.
You can however all have seperate icloud accounts aswel.

Is it possible to use different iOS devices with the same account of the gamecenter? in that case, can two people play a game with the same account and add both scores to the same leaderboard nickname?

You should be able to use the same account. The top scores will get updated on the leader board.

  • How can i synchronize different contacts and different calendars with different iOS devices using the same Apple ID and iTune ID?

I have the following situation. 1 Apple ID. 1 iTune account. I have 2 ipads and 2 iPhones
1- I would like to have a set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (mine) sharing the same contacts and calendar entries (synching from outlook)
2- I would like to have another set of 1 ipad and 1 iphone (my wife's) sharing contacts and calendar entries but obviously these would be a different set of contacts and calendar entries than mine
How can I set up my four devices to do this?
    Thanks for your help
    Cheers

Have your wife log in to her user account on the laptop. Launch iTunes, then connect her phone to the computer with the USB cable. Sync. That should put back all apps and media. Since you already upgraded her to iOS 5 she'll have to manually enter all her settings and preferences, and organize her home screens.

Can someone indicate the way to proceed?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You can't use family sharing or multiple Apple IDs with iTunes match.
ITunes match is only attached to Apple id that you used to subscribe.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Try changing the security on the router. Start with no securty as a test.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • HT5538 How do you separate multiple iOS devices using the same apple id account for Face Time calls and iMessaging?

How do you separate multiiple ios devices using the same apple id account for Face Time calls and iMessaging?

The only way I have seen is to have each device use a if fervent email account, if they all are on the same email the FaceTime connection is either to a phone number or to an email address.  If they ar all on the same email, it is up to the user to decide which to use.

  • Is it possible to have Different Interval Ranges for the same Doc Type

    Dear All,
Here is the issue. Is it possible to have different interval ranges for the same document type according to certain condition.Like my client , wants his interval ranges  be divided according to region(which are many)
    Regards,
    Sameer Jalees

    Hello,
As you know we can only assign one number range for External and one number range group for internal in the sales document type.
If you want different number ranges based on the regions, then as Jignesh suggested, you need to go for an enhancement.
Use the exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in program MVA45AFZZ, include a Z table with region as a critera and number range group for different numbers based on the regions. Talk to the business and get more details, get the help of ABAP team for technical details.

  • Hi, Can i sync both my MacBook Pro and My Mac Book with the same iCloud, iPhone, iPad and all the rest?

    Hi,
Can i sync my database both on my Macbook Pro and my Macbook? is it possible to work on both computers and share the same iCloud, iPhone, iPad etc?
    thanks

@Zizooka : Your question is not very clear ... please re-phrase ... and iCloud is the concept where you share your data through ONLY one account on ALL your devices ...

  • Can I control iTunes via the the remote on multiple iOS devices at the same time?

Hi, I know this is probably a no brainer but I have an iPad and an iPhone on one apple id both with the remote app on them. Problem is the app only seems to run on my iPad at the moment! Ideally it would run on both and on a third iPhone (my wifes and different apple id) at the same time so that we could all control the music... Is it possible?

Have you looked at the previous discussions listed on the right side of this page under the heading "More Like This"? Ones with a green checkmark are solved.

  • Are all Apple devices chargers the same, or do iPads use different chargers

Are all Apple devices use the same chargers iPhone4, iPhone5s and iPad3 and 4 with retina the same?

    Hi Ralph Landry1
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
The iPad use a 12W USB Power Adaptor.
Where as the iPhones use a 5W USB Power Adaptor.
The iPod Touches use either a 5W USB Power Adaptor or they can run off a iPod USB Power Adaptor.
The difference in the Watts can be found in the bottom of the adaptor (it will say 5W, 12W or iPod)
All iPhones and iPods can run off the 5W or iPod Adaptor.
However for the iPad to be sufficiently charged in needs the 12W charger (hence sometime when plugged into a computer it will say 'iPad is not charging') The iPad needs the 12W to charge - this takes 5hrs otherwise.
The iPad charger is here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD836LL/A/apple-12w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=3c
The iPhone charger is here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD810LL/A/apple-5w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=48
Apple no longer sells the iPod USB Power adaptor and as such the iPods now just run off the 5W charger here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD810LL/A/apple-5w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=74
The chargers have changed shape over the years yet the old ones will still do the same job.
    Many Thanks and Enjoy charging!

  • What is the best way to set up multiple devices in the same household?

Our family has a bunch of devices (phones, pads, pods) all set up under the same appleID.  The idea was to be able to share iTunes content among devices.  The problem is that there is personalized data merging between devices (address book, apps, etc).  Is there a way to set up multiple devices under the same account while maintaining their own identity so that Each user can have their own apps, addresses, etc without having to sift through everyone else's stuff?

Continue to share your iTunes ID, but use different IDs for other services such as FaceTime, iMessage and iCloud.  (When you share the same iCloud account across multiple devices, any synced data is merged and the merged list appears on all devices sharing the account.)
    To change the ID For:
iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (Receive At in iOS 5), tap the ID sign out, sign back in using the other ID.
FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
iCloud, you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account.  Before deleting the account, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them.  To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.  Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On [iDevice].  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want in each account (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).

  • TS3510 I have 3 different apple devices using the same Apple ID and would like to use FaceTime to call from one device to the other.  Do I need a different Apple ID for one of the devices in order to do that?

I have 3 different apple devices (iPod Touch, iPad and MacBook Pro) using the same Apple ID and would like to use FaceTime to call from one device to the other.  Do I need a different Apple ID for one of the devices in order to do that?

I found this on a related question in the Community:
Yes you can do it. I do it with 4 different devices all using the same Apple ID.
You need to associate different email addresses for each device in order to use those email addresses as the "contact at" email address. The reason the calls are dropping on you now is that what you are trying to do is like calling yourself on your own phone.
You can also create new iCloud accounts on each device simply to use for FaceTime, but I'm guessing that the users of the other two devices have their own email addresses which will make this work for you quite easily.
Take a look at this for more information.
The seems to go against what Gail said and the issue you raised about buying dup apps was my first concern.  If this other post is correct, how to I set a different "contact at" in the iPod Touch?
