We have an app that reads "paused" beneath it. I can't seem to delete it or open it or do anything with it for that matter. I have tried syncing it with the computer and deleting it but still can not do anything with it. What am I doing wrong?

Try a reset and see if it resumes loading after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Locked on an update can mean a couple of different things. So there are a number of things to try, but start with these.
If you have a "waiting" icon, try tapping on the icon and see if you can pause the update/download. Of it pauses, tap on it again and see if it will resume.
Try holding down on the icon until all of the icons on the screen wiggle. If the X to delete pops up on the waiting/stalled app - tap the X to delete the app. Tao,the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
You can also try this and see if the downloads will resume. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

If the icon exists on your screen, just do a long press on that icon and when the small X appears on top of the app, press it and it will delete it. As long as this is not an Apple app, since those cannot be deleted.

The free trial is all I needed to migrate my iPod Touch library into my main iTunes library. For those that want to use this tool for the same needs there are some things that need to be moved manually, e.g. Apps. But you can do it within the program very easily. Also iBooks/PDFs etc. need to be moved manually. The help section will point you in the right direction.
No more switching iTunes libraries for me.

I have an app that I want to be 100% in the browser and I give

However when I go to the browser it only expands to the width of the largest image in the App. I used firebug to see the size of the swf object in the firefox browser and its was at 100% but the visual app didn't change size.
Any ideas?

If you want the myApp.swf to be the full browser window, you want the object and embed tags to have height=100% width=100%. The only tags inside the body tag.

51 apps is a lot, it could take time. It also depends on the local network and how busy it is. Many users have complained today that they can access contacts, calendars, and/or email - maybe there are server problems right now (and today is the big Apple announcements, so things may be in flux).

Boot off your iPad and turn it back on. Hold the button on the top until the "slide to power off" shows up. When you boot back up it will be gone and then you can re-install the app.

To update your phone requires using the latest version of iTunes, on your computer, as well as Internet access. The update to iOS 5.0 or higher is an erase/restore deal, so you not only have to make sure all of the content, currently on your phone, is on your computer and accessible, you need to update iTunes first, have Internet access, then update your phone. There is no way around this fact. You could go to an Apple store or use another computer, but you run the risk of losing all of your data it you do that.

Reset your iPad by holding the home and on/off buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then update your apps one at a time. Do not start the next app until the current one downloads and finishes installing.

Have you checked the developers website to see what happened with it?
Personally, I use 1Password, which is extremely well supported, updated frequently, has been around for years, and isn't going to suddenly disappear.
You generally get what you pay for. Free apps often disappear as the developers often don't make any or enough money from them, and have no incentive to keep supporting them.

YOU CAN'T.
If you upgrade your phone you can only upgrade to iOS 7 and that is it. You can only ever update to the lastest available software, which in this case is iOS 7. You either upgrade to this or not at all because you can't upgrade to anything else.

I updated to ios 5.0.1 and since then, I have 9 apps that are no longer usable. I get the message "Unable to Download Application", lists the app and said it could not be downloaded at this time. Tried several times over several days to retry with the same result.

My recommendation would be to go to iTunes on the computer, under LIBRARY find the APPS tab and at the bottom it should say 9 Available Updates. Click on this, then you can update them from iTunes. To get them on your phone, go to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync (if you have iCloud set up).
