We are using oracle 9i server, with IBM portal, some day back we have migrated our databses from one server to other server for staging and production databases with same application, staging application is working fine, but production application is giving following error,

Well, the question is almost philosophic... 
In 9i, there is a Migration Guide whereas in 10g there is a Upgrade Guide. 
Furthermore, in 9i, there is the command line startup migrate whereas in 10g that's startup upgrade.
Somebody think upgrade when go to new release, and migration when go to new version. 
Others think upgrade when new version replace database in place, and migration when new version include a move of database. 
Another point of view is : upgrade is for technical, and migration for application/data. 
 
Well, after these explanations, your upgrade/migratation notion will not be more clear, but I think that is not very important, only a terminology game. The most important is to know what you need : new version or new release.

Does veridata have agent for oracle database 11gr2 on linux? From the edelivery.oracle.com, I just found the latest version is 10.2. When I installed the 10.2 version agent for oracle database 11gr2, the agent needs libnnz10.*. Does 10.2 version agent support for 11gr2 database? Thank you.

I assume you are on R12 since you want to migrate the application tier node to Linux 64-bit (which is certified for the application tier node on R12 but not 11i), so please refer to the docs in this thread -- Re: Has anyone migrate/upgrade from R12.0.6 on Solaris to R12.1.3 on Linux?

User with VPN Connections cannot connect to our Oracle Database

I am facing a problem today with our Production Database.
User with our branches using VPN connection cannot connect to our Oracle Database.
As per checking the alert log, I saw this message

My firewall is disable in my db host.
I also check the firewall on client end and it is also disabled.
I also talk to my Network Administrator for adjustment in Router and Firewall to allow port 1521 to accept connection but still unsuccessful.
What seems to be the problem ?

I guess that means back to the shop. Ridiculous to sell a phone that can't handle the new iOS more efficiently (or vice versa). I can't imagine anyone going near a 5C now (I have a feeling mine had already been used and taken back once and sold as new at O2).

This is a case where size does matter.
When they say errors reported on oracle are about 4 times more than the ones reported on SQL server they forgot to say something like: SQL server is able to do... what a 10%, a 5% or whatever of what oracle can do.
Anyway who sayd this forgot to say that they worked with microsoft trying to improve SQL sever security features as well.

In my opinion there is no way yet to compare oracle to any other DBMS under any point of view.

You can't currently transfer content from one account to another account. As long as the tracks are on the computer's iTunes that they use/sync to, and your account is authorised on that iTunes, then they should be able to continue to use them.

Please explain in clear english as to what is your requirement. I got lost after "two company user" . I suppose it means there are users from two separate company: A and B. They were using same portal till now: http://commonportal:50000/irj/portal.
Now they need different urls - specific for each company say companyAportal.com and companyBportal.com. But still the same old common portal in the end.
If that's your requirement please search the forum with correct terms, else "Google".

Database Udump & Cdump are getting filled and i am getting an error.

Database Udump & Cdump are getting filled with the following erros in the " alert.log".

I am getting various erros with differeent numbers but all of them state ORA-07445. PLs help me how to solve this problem.

Your bdump and cdump directories are likely filling up as a result of the trace files generated by the ORA-07445 errors. So, you need to find the cause of the 7445 errors to resolve that, then it will stop generating trace files and filling your directories.
In the meantime, you can almost certainly delete some of the older files in both directories to make some space, but I would keep some of the newer ones since they may be valueable in diagnosing the cause of the 7445 errors.

Where i made a mistake ?

java.sql.Timestamp now has only one constructor, it
takes "long", i.e., milliseconds.That's because a Timestamp is just an offset from a particular instant of time. It doesn't have a timezone.
Please note that I'm not trying to "print", i.e., I'm
not interested in using the SimpleDateFormat.Then what are you interested in? You appear to be trying to create a Timestamp with a particular timezone, which doesn't make sense as I already noted. Is there a reason for this?

First, press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple icon appears.
The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well. Tap Show All Apps to get the complete list of apps and MB used for backup storage.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

Migration of oracle database

I have an oracle database running on 9.2.0.6 on a sun solaris 5.8 OS. We would be migrating it to an AIX 5.1 OS onto a different box. What are the different ways that this migration can be performed ? The database is very very large (atleast 350GB)

On this hardware, w/ a Large Database (target is also 9.2.0.6), consider using a clone approach, or using RMAN to recreate the image on the target server.
Cloning refers to an identifcal copy of a db.
A. Here are the common steps:
1. perform full backup of database
2. alter database backup controlfile to trace resetlogs; (ie. makes ctl in user_dump_dest)
3. rename (2) trace file to clone_db.sql
4. select name from v$datafile
selct member from v$logfile
5. shutdown immediate
6. create dir on target server to hold cloned database files, copy all data and redo logs files from (4) to new dirs, including the ctl
7. rename soure init.ora to be target init.ora, edit file w/ new path for control_files, user_dump_dest, background_dump_dest, etc.
8. on target> sql>startup nomount pfile=<new location>/initclone.ora
9. sql> create controlfile set database "clone_db resetlogs noarchivelog;
10 modify the data and redo filenames to point to the names of the appropriate files on the target server
11. set the ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID
12. edit tnsnames.ora listener.ora to include new db
13 stop / start listener
14 edit oratab
15. mount / open db
16. alter database rename global_name to "clone-db"
17. done.
B. Consider using Enterprise Manager for cloning
