We have overwritten existing oraenv ,coraenv db_home when applying patch 10.2.0.4 on 10.2.0.1

Hello Everyone ;
I have successfully 10.2.0.4 binaries installation completed on 10.2.0.1 . but we made small
mistake when executing root.sh we have overwritten existing oraenv ,coraenv db_home (10.2.0.1)
can i continue ? or uninstall the patch ?

Java installation hangs when applying patches

Hi all,
I recently removed my java application from my computer then tried to reinstall from the add on plug in in firefox. The program would hang at applying patches. After serveral cleanings of the failed attempt, and many hard reboots later (because the entire system would hang and not reboot from the start menu), i found that firefox 2.0.0.4 does not support the latest version.
I then tried the next version down.. same thing happened. So I tried to downlaod it for just IE7, that also yielded the same result. Bottom line... the program keeps hanging at applying patches, doesn't seem to do anything for at least 30 minutes, before I give up and have to hard reboot my computer.
I've tried searching the problem on google, but have found nothing that resembles my problem or fixes it, following removal and installation leads.
Please help!

I solved this problem by installing Cryptography Toolkit.

When i apply patch 43worker occur afcmgf.odf error when apply patch 4334965

when i apply patch 4334965, it occur error with: FAILED: file afcmgr.odf on worker 14 for product fnd username APPLSYS.
then the others worker's status is wait, how to resolve? and how did i know what's wrong?

Problem when applying patch 4948577

i am doing upgrade Developer 6i patch set level 18. when i applyed this patch 4948577 it went perfectly and as per the readme it is asking to run the below command.

OUI cannot be launched when applying patch 9.2.0.8 from CD-ROM

Hi, I need help! Could someone tell me what is wrong:
When I am trying to install the patch 9.2.0.8 from CD-ROM, I get the following error
Error: OUI cannot be launched because the current working directory is set on the CD-ROM mount point. Launching OUI from this directory will make it difficult to unmount the disk later in the installation. Please change the working directory and relaunch OUI.
The operating system is solaris 64-bit 5.9
The database is of 9.2.0.1 enterprise edition
I am running the installer from a local directory /tmp with full path to the patch installer.
When I install the patch NOT from CD-ROM or ISO, everything is fine.

Ensure you are not on the CD mountpoint before runing installer.
For instance, cd to oracle's home directory and run it from there.

Missing patch files when applying patch

Hello
I have been trying to apply the Oracle 8.1.5 patch and I have
followed the instructions given. On running the script
(sh linux815patch.sh)it goes through the motions of installing
the patch for about a second and then stops with a message
"missing patch files". I have dowloaded the patch from two
different locations twice and it still gives the same problem.
Has anyone come across this and how was the problem solved ?

Please try the following:
SQL> connect apps/<apps password>
SQL> alter system flush shared_pool;
SQL> alter package WSH_DELIVERY_DETAILS_ACTIONS compile body reuse settings;Let us know if you get any errors.
Also, please try to run this command from the log file:
sqlplus -s APPS/***** @/u01/oracle/testappl/wsh/11.5.0/patch/115/sql/WSHDDACB.pls

Problems when applying patch 142807-02 on clean DSEE 6.3.1

Hello,
I just installed DSEE 6.3.1 (patching from 6.0) and I was going to apply the security patch for NSS and SASL (142807-02)
as mentioned in the releasenotes.
However when i followed the instructions:
# cd 142807-02/SunOS_i86pc/delivery/
# ./Install /opt/SUNWdsee
I got alot of errors from the cp command inside the install-script:
....(alot more)...
cp: cannot create /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/lib/libplc4.so: No such file or directory
cp: cannot create /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/lib/libjss4.so: No such file or directory
cp: cannot create /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/lib/sasl2/libsasl.so: No such file or directory
...(alot more)...
In the end it worked without errors if I manually created the following directories:
# mkdir /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private
# mkdir /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/include
# mkdir /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/include/obsolete
# mkdir /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/lib
# mkdir /opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/private/lib/sasl2
My server instance seems to start fine after this, but it seems kindof wrong that I need to create
these directories manually.
Is there any problem doing this? what is causing this?
My OS installation is Solaris 10 x86 64-bit (Update 7).

tried to apply patch (PSE 13723798) to fix the no-scrollbar bug in Webcenter Portal Admin Console. But found this error during the patching process, as described below. Any solution for this?

Problem when apply SAP Bundle Patch for 10.2.0.5

We are trying to apply SAP Bundle Patch (SBP) SAP_102052_201102_SOL64.zip and SAP_102052_201103_SOL64.zip using MOPatch utility. Both MOPatch and OPatch utility have been updated with the latest download from SAP. When applying patch for SAP_102052_201102, most patches went through except for one patch that requires OPatch to be version 10.2.0.5.0. The OPatch version downloaded from SAP is 10.2.0.4.9. Even the OPatch delievered together in the SAP_102052_201102_SOL64.zip file is 10.2.0.4.9.
Below are extract of the opatch log file for this patch:

The file I can see there is generic for ALL operating systems and the name is:
OPatch_10205_Generic_v0.zip
it seems that the version is 10.2.0.5, not 10.2.0.4.9 as you mentioned.
I have downladed it and look at the README:
Patch summary:
README file for OPatch 10.2.0.5.0, the Oracle Interim Patching Tool.
I'm not installing it, but it seems that the version is not the same as yours.
Is this the one you have downloaded?
Have you installed it properly? => may be you are running an older one

SCCM 2012 R2 - Bitlocker PIN not Suspending when performing patching

After upgrading to R2 version of SCCM, when applying
patching to our client machines, even with the "Suspend Bitlocker PIN
entry on restart" "Always" on, Bitlocker is not suspending.
This worked perfectly in SCCM RTM and SP1 versions.
Is there any configuration or patch to solve this issue?

Take a look at rebootCordinator.log. The reboot must be triggered by SCCM client and the policy must already be applied to Client.
