We have tvo computer Can I make more than one website Hove do i do?

Can I bulit a website one one cumputer Than built another website on another cumputer? I have tryed !It don´t work
[email protected]

Yes. As long as you have iWeb on the other computert you can create and publish website from it.  You can even build multiple websites on one compter if you'd like.  Do you know how to add a new site when working on your current site?
Do you want the other computer to also have your current website available for editing?  You need to explain exactly what you are trying to accomplish so we don't spin our wheels offering solutions.
Also in Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

  • Can i make more than one faces-config.xml file ?

Can i make more than one faces-config.xml file under one project or application, if yes than how it will link.

    Just that you know,
In the second week of july I was taking the Jdeveloper/Jheadstart course at Oracle Netherlands. During that course we were asked to split the faces-config. After splitting it, we were not able to find the navigation rules that were defined in the first faces-config in the web.xml. The Jdeveloper IDE was confused........
However, we were able to use the navigation rules (type in manualy) and that worked in the application.
I talked about it with Steven Davelaar and he thought it might be a bug. I don't know if it's reported, and I don't know if it's fixed.
So, if you get confused.... it works, but Jdeveloper might have some problems with it.

  • Can I make more than one edit in a clip in Imovie?

I converted a VHS tape to an MPEG 4 file and wish to edit multiple portions of it. The tape was converted and is only in one clipping. I'm new to IMovie and can't seem to be able to make more than one edit. Where have I gone wrong or is it not possible? Any help would be appreciated.

afair, select the clip in the 'bin' on the right hand side.
select your in- and Out-point in the large Preview window with the sliders or by simply hitting the keys i and o
drag from the preview window into your timeline

  • I just upgraded to Mountain Lion.  Now I can't open more than one website at a time.  When I do the first site, minimized and in the dock, is taken up by the second one.

I just upgraded my computer from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion.  I used to be able to have as many websites open as I wished.  Now when I open a website and minimize it, it minimizes and moves to the dock just like it used to do.  But now when I open a second website, it takes the place of the first one down in the dock that was minimized.  I can't open more than 1 website at time now.

There is something basic going on that unfortunately has me stumped.
Before you spend the $20 please try creating a new user, for testing purposes:
Creating a temporary account to isolate user-specific problems: Isolating an issue by using another user account
That is easy enough to accomplish. If Safari and the Dock behave as you expect while using that account, it will help determine the cause. Please report the results of this test.
Delete the temporary account after you finish testing.
Many of those features I mentioned are new in Mountain Lion, and represent a significant change from Snow Leopard. Though you should certainly continue to use your Mac the way you have been accustomed to using it, you may find using Mountain Lion's new features advantageous. If you are fortunate enough to have an Apple Store nearby, you would benefit by taking advantage of Apple's many free workshops: https://www.apple.com/retail/learn/
Otherwise you may find yourself spending the $20 often. The help available here is often better than Apple's. It is not always correct, but it is always free.

  • Can I publish more than one website to the net with iWeb?

    Hey there,
Looking for help from ANYBODY!!!! I've done one website for my business (Interior design), secured the domain name and published it no problems. Then I designed a second one (medical aid site), secured another domain name but when typed in, it goes to my FIRST website.
Does iWeb allow you you to publish 2 different websites to 2 different domain names???
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanx Braden

With iWeb 09 you can publish to different webservers.
Select the Sitename in the lefthand column and either choose MobileMe, FTP or a folder.
If both sites are published on the same webserver, the site at the top of the list is the default one. If both domainnames point to that same webserver, then the default site loads regardless which domain name you use.
With MobileMe you can only have ONE domain name. With other hosts it depends on how you configured the webserver and the domainnames. Usually you can configure your (sub)domainname to point to a specific folder on your website. Check with your host.

  • HT5097 How can I make more than one backup at the same time

I use time machine to backup my mac. I want to also make an additional backup on a different hard drive in case the first drive fails. How do I do that?

I suggest you do not use Time Machine for the second backup. Instead, I suggest cloning your drive to a different backup drive using different backup software.
Your secon drive should be the same size as your computer's drive. Start by using Disk Utility's Restore option to clone your computer's drive to the new backup drive:
Clone Lion/Mountain Lion using Restore Option of Disk Utility
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
         1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
             button.
         2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
         3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
         4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
             to the Destination entry field.
         5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
             the Source entry field.
         6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
After this initial clone you can use other backup software suggested below to make incremental updates to the backup. These incremental updates can be done on a regular schedule.
    Suggested Backup Software
      1. Carbon Copy Cloner
      2. Get Backup
      3. Deja Vu
      4. SuperDuper!
      5. Synk Pro
      6. Tri-Backup
Others may be found at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on backup and restore.  Also read How to Back Up and Restore Your Files.
The two backups need not be done on the same schedule. Time Machine backsup hourly. The other backup could be done on a daily or even weekly schedule.

  • Can I build more than one website in iWeb, on the same computer?

Anyone know? And if so, how do I create a new domain/index etc?

If you do use multiple domain files for your sites name them for the site inside to make it obvious which one you want to open and work with.
As you probably know in Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
NOTE: If you repair disk permissions with Disk Utility on your boot drive you will have to rerun the script with Terminal to make the Library folder visible again.
For opening your domain file in Lion for the first time or to switch between multiple domain files  Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
Just launch the applicaiton, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
Or you can download an already compiiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.

  • Can I make more than one payment on a bill?

I want to pay an amount online with a debit card. Then when the bill comes in the mail, my mom will pay the remaining balance by check. Is this possible?

Great question Rpmcorbin. You absolutely can make a payment online and then another amount via mail. You can access My Verizon at www.vzw.com (sign in as Account Manager), make the payment, enter whatever payment amount you would like to pay. Then mail in another payment via mail, or any other form of payment. If your mom would like to pay online, she can do that as well.

  • Can I publish more than one website to my Mobil Me account? -- Urgent!

I need to create a 2nd website with iWeb and publish it using Mobil Me. Can I do this using my existing Mobil Me account? I seem to be able to publish only one site at a time.
If I need to set up a 2nd Mobil Me account, how do I differentiate the two?
I may need to transfer the original website to another person who would set up their own Mobil Me account. If I do, where are the files for my original website? I would have to copy those for the new person so they could access the site on their own Mac.
Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

    Michael,
Your web site file is located in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. It's titled "domain.sites2".
You'll want to make sure that you back up this file from time to time otherwise you'll lose all your hard work if your hard drive fails or if this file becomes corrupted for some reason. All of your web sites and pages are all located within this file.
No need to open up another Mobil Me account. You can publish all of your sites from your account.
    Gramps.

  • I can't open more than one website at a time.

Whenever I'm surfing the web, if I open another tab and try to load another page, it always tells me that the page cannot be loaded. I've tried it on other computers, and it's not a problem.

    Hi,
Launch Firefox in [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/safe+mode Safe Mode]. All extensions and themes will be disabled. Now try to open multiple windows and/or tabs. If it works, it proves you have a corrupt [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#new profile] probably caused by a bad extension (or upgrade).
    To make a new profile:
    * Close Firefox
    * Click on windows start button
    * %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ in the Search box at the bottom of the Start menu (without hitting Enter).
    * A list of profiles will appear
    * Change the name of the "default" folder
    * Restart Firefox
If this solved your problem, you can install your addons, or just copy them from the old default folder (which you have changed the name) to the new one.
    Kind regards,
    Joren

  • Can I have my Adobe X Pro on more than one computer?

Can I have my Adobe X Pro on more than one computer?

Well, yes, but I think there's an important point to make; I'm surprised you talk about "downloading it again". That suggests you didn't make an archive copy of the installer you downloaded for the first computer.
It is VITAL to archive a copy of what you download for software you buy. That doesn't mean just leave the download on disk, because you will need it if that disk fails or computer is dropped on the floor. We constantly see people that didn't get a copy of their old software, and now it is no longer available for download, leaving them just stuck!
So, please, save a copy on CD or DVD. Also, write the serial number on the disk, and any qualifying number if it was an upgrade. I'd hate you to be another statistic in the "how do I reinstall my old software" threads.

  • How Can I Update More Than One Ipod on the Same Computer?

I've had my 30G Ipod since April 2006. For Christmas 2006, I bought my sister a 2G Ipod. I cannot figure out how to put songs on her Ipod as we both share the same computer and Itunes Library. I've already asked Ipod Corporate for help via their FAQ section regarding more than one Ipod operating with the same computer, but their advice (which told me to create a playlist small enough for her Ipod and checked as a shared playlist) did not work for me. I'd really appreciate any help with my problem. Owning an Ipod but being unable to listen to it, as I'm sure many people would agree, is quite annoying.

There are basically two ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
    a) Sharing a single iTunes library and user account.
    b) Creating multiple user accounts and having separate libraries.
    Sharing a Library
If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish):
Loading songs onto iPod automatically - Windows
Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. You can read more about playlists at these links:
iTunes: Creating playlists of your favorite songs
How to create a Smart Playlist with iTunes
However since you seem to have a problem with that method you can choose to update any or all of the iPods manually and just drag whatever content you want to them: Managing content manually on iPod
    Separate User Accounts
Another option is to create a separate User account for each person on your PC or Mac. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists
If you are unfamiliar with setting up Windows user accounts you can read more here: Using Windows XP User Accounts

  • Can i create more than one library on the same computer?

Can I create more than one library on the same computer?  Just got an ipod for my wife but didn't want her to have to use my library to sync to, so I thought I created another library for her.  When I deleted my albums from her library the disappeared from mine. (I think?)

I know it's Valentine's Day, but before you get your wife fixed up the first thing you need to do is recover the deleted albums for your own library.  See if the files are elsewhere on your hard drive, or in the Recycle Bin.  When you find them, get them back into your own library.  Now you are ready to help your wife.
As noted above, you can have two libraries in one Windows user account via the Shift-Start approach, but if you both use your libraries regularly, that becomes annoying quickly.  It is better to set her up with her own Windows user account. She can have her own iTunes library there.
Get a copy of your entire iTunes folder to start her off.  She can delete stuff she doesn't want without messing you up.
