Flash Player is actually built into Chrome so unless you specifically make a change, the version of Flash Player that you installed will not be used. Hi i am wanting to purchace some quoting software for my business the program i am looking at is called SoloAssist and only runs on microsoft software, We changed over all our office and foremen to apple about a year ago and love the product. Thanks, I appreciate the help. I think this is one of the problems Apple is creating by changing the OS so often. I had fomer colleagues at [a major aerospace contractor] who told me that so many original files were ultimately lost because of the deadly change in the "Save As" operation that they are now afraid of every OS update. Apple has badly damaged their support base with that very prominent company (they won't update now until they've fully examined and understand changes in the pre-conditioned nature of OS computer functions), and they are a whole lot less enthaled with Mac-related equipment/software. Can't blame them, I too used orginal files that way (as easy-to-use templates), and lost some important files before I realized what was happening (to late to revert). Companies should not have to retrain employees each time an OS gets an update, it's can be very expensive several different ways. They learned a painful lesson with that one. And because I'm now retired and don't use multiple devices, I need iCloud like I need a hole in the head... but I'm told there's no way to keep Apple out of my computer. Fortunately, because of major problems when initially installing Mountain Lion, one hold-over of the hardware/software damage I experienced was that iCloud can no longer access my computer even though everything else is working fine again. That was the only "good luck" I had as a result of that expensive nightmare.

Into installation of SAP BPC you are specifying for application server 3 names:
Application Server Name
External Application Server Name
Virtual Name
The third one is used in case if you are using NLB.
The first one is the one using by "Connecting from Office"
The second one is used by "Connecting outside of office"
For this reason External name must be FQDN )Fully qualify name)
Application Server name can be short name

First, please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. The only people who will reply to your posts are we your fellow users. iTunes Support will never respond to posts made here.
As to your issue, confirm with your bank that they do not block access from on-line services or otherwise have restrictions on with whom a card can be used. For some company cards, such blocks can be set up. If you confirm that no such restrictions are in place, post back and we'll go from there.

So basically you are saying you have a New Computer and you do not have access to your Old Computer and you did not Create and Maintain a Backup of iTunes... Correct.?
And you want to Sync your iPhone to the New Computer... and your New Computer is Authorised...?

I no longer have sound for either my audio books or my music on itunes. I've tried everything--restarting, updating, re-installing audible app, and restoring the iphone to its factory settings--nothing helps. How do I get the sound back?

How do I get the sound back on my iPhone 4? I've tried all the fixes such as restarting iPhone, reinstalling the audible app, and finally yesterday, I restored the phone to its factory settings. I still get no sound from music on iTunes or from my audible books. The phone still rings (I have sound for that) and the voice control speaks to me, and when I'm typing, the automatic text voice speaks so I can hear it but nothing else works.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

Moving Win 7 and apps from 2 drives to 2 partitions

I have a win 7 Home Premium install that's working fine but I need to do some storage upgrades.
At present, 7 boots from an 80GB SSD and has Windows and some apps installed there. But it's only 80GB and I'm worried about future space (24GB left). In light of that, over the past year, I have also been installing some additional apps on to the E: drive
(a WD Raptor 600GB) when given the choice. There appear to be about 10GB in the 2 win program folders on E: and less than 1GB of User files on there.
I have a 240GB SSD and want to partition it as about 160GB C: and 80GB E:.
If I clone all of the C: onto SSD partition 1, can I simply copy "program files" and "p f (x86)" from the old E: WD onto the E: partition of the new SSD? The pagefile.sys is also currently on E: but I can temp disable paging until after
the new swap.
Should I also move some user stuff from old E; HD to new E: SSD? "In theory" would this work? Is the "system volume info" folder on E: a problem if not moved?
Machine is a Sandy Bridge i5 2500K, 16GB RAM, middling video card..... I HAVE to get my XP machine closed up and start working full time on this one. My plan is to make a VM on the WD and clone the XP install to that... would not boot from it, just have
a couple of apps that are there where the install discs have "evaporated"...

But for the moving files with programs, I don't think it will work.

Copy Microsoft Office and iLife from old hard drive to new?

Hi,
I recently upgraded the Hard drive (to 500 gigs) and OS (to Snow Leopard) on my 2007 MacBookPro.
I also bought a USB enclosure kit so I can use my old 100gig Hard drive as an external storage device.
My old 100gig hard drive has Office for Mac04 and iLife (as well as the original OS 10.4 Tiger).
Not sure if this matters, but iLife came pre-installed when I bought the Mac in 2007, therefore I have no disc. I also do not have the product keys or disc for Office anymore.
My question is this: Is it possible to copy or re-install iLife and/or Office from my 100gig hard drive to my new 500gig hard drive? Or, is there any way to still run either of these apps from my external drive?
I still have my OSX Tiger disc and everything else that came packaged, but I don't think iLife is on that disc.

Thank you very much for the fast reply. You are awesome. I did not even think about Migration Assistant, you definitely set me on the right path.
As for Firewire that is another story.
After an extensive amount of reading I concluded that I would have to buy a new hard drive enclosure with firewire ports because USB to FireWire is incompatible (although such cables/extensions exist, there are myriad stories indicating that USB to FireWire cables will most likely damage the ports and the connected device.)
Instead of buying another enclosure I decided to try Migration Assistant with USB and it works very well. I am sure the speed is miraculously slower than Firewire but that did not bother me, copying 10 gigs took less than 20 minutes.
As of this moment, everything that I copied works as it should. I will post again if something went wrong. I hope all this information is useful to somebody else too. Thanks again Michael!

Moving Google calendar and contacts from Microsoft Exchange to Caldav

I was hoping to free up the Exchange connection to get Outlook (work) calendar/email/contacts synced with my iphone.
Currently, I use Exchange to connect to Google Calendar/Contacts.
So, I was looking for basic advice/how-to's/and pro's/cons of switching Google calendar/contacts to CalDAV, and using Exchange for Outlook.

Well, I think I discovered the limitations of doing such on my own.
CalDAV only works for calendars, not contacts (MS Exchange performs both). Since I'd prefer to have my contacts synced to my google account, it appears adding the Outlook account isn't an option until Apple adds the ability for multiple MS Exchange accounts, or Google changes it's sync processes.

Moving purchased music and files from old computer to new computer.

My old computer was recently stolen and on it I had quite alot of music that I had purchased from the itunes store. Is there anyway to recover some of the music that I have purchased through the itunes store and put it on the itunes on my new computer?

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so.
