Dependent demand requirements distributed in days

Dear experts,
Planned Orders created by the PPDS planning are usually between 2 to 4 days long, normally longer than one day. For some components we would need to see the requirements distributed proportionally in days instead of receiving the total depend demand quantity just before the beginning of the order. Reason for that is because suppliers are geographically very close so these components are ordered in daily basis and also, these components are actually being continuously issued to the mixing tank.
P.e:
Planned Order = 2000 PC --> Availab.Date = 4th July 12:00 am (starts 2nd July 12:00)
Component Requirements = 2000 PC -- total quantity required at the beginning of the order --> 2nd July 12:00
The business requirement is to have the requirements distributed proportionally by days:
2nd July --> 500 PC (Order is half of the half)
3rd July --> 1000 PC (Order runs the whole day)
4th July --> 500 PC (Order runs half a day)
I have tested with the Distribution Key assigned into the Production Version and also to the components. I have tried distribution with both distribution function: equal distribution and equal portions (alternatives dispatch at the start and end date do not work for my requirement), and then also the distribution type according to discrete points. Nevertheless I only get continual consumption which is not bad but with regard to the components dependent demand dates it is not what I need, the entire quantity is at the start of the operation to which components are assigned.
Any experience with this kind of requirement?

Thanks for the answer. I have been using distribution key GLEI and as you mentioned, I got 3 lines in the Stock/Req List for the finish good (1000 PCs per day) in R/3 and therefore I got 3 dependent requirements in R/3. However, in APO I get only a planned order, 3 days lenght, so there is only one dependent demand for the component which requirement date is just before the beginning of the planned order. Then, material planners see the total demand for the order in one day even though the order takes 3 days and the total quantity is not needed at the beginning.
This is have I did:
-GLEI assigned to the component and to the Production Version
-Transfer the PDS
-I have the C for Continual Consumption assigned to the finish article and also for the components the PDS.
-I ran Planning of Standard Lots considering Continous I/O (however in R/3 I get the 3 lineas even creating the order manually or with the normal planning with standard lots.
In APO, I dont see any distribution of the quantity in the planned order,and neither in the dependent demand. I get a 3000 PC planned with availability day one day (one line) and the same for the dependent demand, one line. What I can see on the DSPB, chart product stock, is that the component is being required continuously and the planned order quantity is growing also gradually.
Am I missing something? It must be possible in APO also!

BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 creating unwanted Dependent Demand

We are using the BAPI function BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3
to create Production Orders to integrate WIP from a
legacy system. The presence of PDS for the product on which the production order is created, makes the PDS assignment to the production order. But, it is also creating a depenedent demand for the component in PDS, which inturn pegs to the supply on the component. We dont want the dependent demand to be created and peg to the supply, as the supply is already reduced in the external system.
We tried using PLANNING_MODE_USAGE parameter, but was not able to stop the creation of dependent demand.
Any way around this?

Do you need the PDS in the planning system (APO) at all in case you don't want to see the dependant demand. The BAPI
BAPI_MOSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3 documentation says:
For you to be able to create an order, a valid source of supply must exist for in-house production. This can be a production process model (PPM) of the type PP/DS or a production data structure (PDS). The source of supply is then used to generate the order. The order structure (components, operations, durations, capacity requirements, and so on) is determined based on the explosion. If a valid source of supply does not exist, a 'dummy' activity is generated and the order is created without structure and with only a main component.
We create production orders with dummy activities and only the output component using the BAPI without having the PPMs at the supply plant.

NB: Also try 'Deactivate Dynamic Pegging' option in the product-supply location master data in the 'Demands' tab to ensure the dependant demand does not peg to available supplies of the component.

BAPI- To Pick DEpendent Demand in APO

I am working in APO-ABAP.I Am Using a Bapi to Get The Dependent demand for a Product.Bapi is BAPI_MOSRVAPS_GETLIST2.But this is not picking the same for ATPCAT-AU,AV,AX,EL,AY,AZ.Does anyone know any other BAPI to pick the same.Urgent

Dear Ashok
Your requirement can be met using DP BOM. I am not sure about parent child CVC's , but DP - BOM should work.
You need to first create and activate PPM/ PDS for DP with usage D (BOM Demand Planning).
Assign it to model and create a planning object structure with DP BOM relevant.
Create the master and CVC based on MPOS
Create a PA with 2 different KF( one for finished product, another for dependent BOM). Initilize the PA and version.
Config the forecast settings for PA.

Dependent Demand Quantity is to high

Hi All,
This proble is SNP PDS related.
We have an issue on a product in that we have Finished Product which has a component. The Finished product to component ratio is clearly 1:4 (one finished product requires 4 of a certain component). However when we look at the dependent demands it is calculating them way to high in fact 1:8.7. So for the dependent demand its calculating we need 8.7 components for 1 finished product.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this issue.
I tried this on Friday and made these steps:
1) Use Interactive Supply Network Planning to copy to an external Excel file the production plans
2) Deleted the current plans in Interactive Supply Network Planning
3) Deleted the PDS in APO
4) Used Curto_Create to resend the PDS into APO
5) Opened up the Excel file and pasted the production plans back into Interactive Supply Network Planning
6) Process complete
At the end of this process, it still had the same problem unfortunatly.

I need to change the MAC Address for Airport on MacBook

I have a specific need to change my son's Airport MAC address as his school requires the use of USB network cards that aren't compatible with MACs. These cards are needed because the school's router uses MAC address filtering.
Before we upgraded his Mac to Snow Leopard, we were able to change the MAC address to the MAC address of the useless dongal the school supplied. We basically created an AppleScript program that ran the "sudo ifconfig en1 ether xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx" and all was good.
This command no longer works for changing the MAC address. We tried it as root user as well and by typing it into the terminal window as root. After running the command, we can run "ifconfig en1" and it does display the new mac address but when we turn the airport on and try to connect, it just hangs and won't connect.
Our other non-Snow Leopard still works fine after running the commands so I'm guessing Apple disabled this functionality. It's hardly a security issue by being able to change your mac addres.
Is there a new way to accomplish this? I've searched everywhere.

Would an easier solution be to provide the school's IT admin with your mac address and have it added? If they can add a block of mac addresses for the usb dongles, they can add more for machines that cannot use the dongle.
Also: "It's hardly a security issue by being able to change your mac address."
While it may not be a security issue for your machine, it is a security for the school network who is using mac address filtering as hopefully only one part of their wireless security.

The first thing you should do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. If you don't have the media, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able toauthorize it under your ID. In that case, contact iTunes Support.

Exactly what settings you would need to change, where, and to what would depend on many factors, including at least the following:
* what model MBP you have (which will tell us the connector available),
* what version of Mac OS X it runs (which will tell us the settings available),
* what sort of TV you have (resolution, what connectors it offers, how they are switched, etc.),
* what connecting facilities you have (like wires or an AppleTV),
* how you want to use the TV (primary screen, secondary screen, mirror screen, sole screen),
* whether you want to play audio through the TV,
and even
* where the TV is located with respect to the MBP.
Simple case: New enough MBP to have HDMI output, running a recent OS X, TV new enough to have an available HDMI input, an HDMI cable on hand, using the TV as a secondary screen, and you don't care about how the screen positions relate or where the audio plays. You might be able to get away with default settings on the computer, but you'll still probably have to switch the TV to the HDMI input, and you'll have to drag windows onto the new screen.

Need to change Tax code in po but GR and IR also completed

I have one issue in the po, the line item "xxxxxxx" in the PO It shall be 36 instead of 39.but it is GR and IR also completed,now we need to change the Tax code,for this we need to cancel IR and GR or without cancel GR, IR also we can change Tax code,please guide me.,but i am thinking this below mentioned steps to maintain for change the Tax code.
(1) cancel IR
(2) Cancel GR for line item "xxxxxxx"
(3) Change tax code for line item "xxxxxx" from 39 into 36
(4) Re-post GR for line item "xxxxxx".
(5)Re-Post invoice for line item "xxxxxx"
These steps are required to change the Tax code in the po or not

Hi,
If the Tax amount is merged to the expense/revenue account as per the Tax configuration.
Then if the tax code is V1 --Tax amount is 100 Rs
The system will post that amount to material account and same will be GR/IR.
When you do the MIRO the GR/IR will match & vendor account will update.
If the Tax amount is posted to seperate a/c then tax amount will not merge to material account so at GR tax amount has no reflection but in MIRO system will post the tax to seperate G/L account and vendor is updated with Material Price + Tax amount, GR/IR will be same as MIGO .

Can this be possible using SPD 2010. Please suggest.

not out-of-the-box.
you would need to find a third party add-on to send the email. The SPDActivities codeplex project includes some email options that include specifying a sender, but focus on attachments... not sure what would happen if there was no attachment.

Need to change Windows Live account

Hi all,
The Windows Live account I entered at startup has been blocked after Hotmail told me I was entering the wrong password (turns out I was actually right all along!)
There's now an ongoing 'temporary problem' with resetting the account, so I need to change to a different WL account. I saw somewhere this can't be done.. surely this makes no sense? Can it be effected by doing a complete reset of the phone (Lumia 800) if it comes to that?
Because I don't seem to be able to access that account, I'm without email, updates and apps so far and counting!

Yes, I have set up another account with Live, but the phone keeps demanding me to sign in with the Hotmail account (no option to sign in with a different a/c) and I can't find a way of making @live.co.uk the default.
