We need your hands free...

NOKIA many years software development from which any device connected to the computer could interact from the same computer, ie you could write sms, sms in recibnir podias pc screen. My suggestion is, why could not implement APPLE IOS IPHONE in a system in which users can type messages from PC or Computer will maner to clear the device while it is connected. This application is highly necessary to IPHONE users.

Well, I've never found it necessary, and I've been an iPhone user for 6 years.

Advice needed regarding hands free ring tone

I own a curve 8520 & also use a Bluetooth Supertooth visor go hands free kit in the car.
When the two items are paired and i receive a call the ring tone from the hands free kit is not the same as the ring tone on the phone.
When this happened with my W810i i was told it was due to the phone not being a2dp compatible ? if i have the correct name for it.
Can you advise how i can make my ring tone play throught the hands free the same as the phone.

I do import using optimized media. I do not understand what you mean by trashing Pro Res files. Where are they located? I tried to find out by openeing up the one archived project and have found this:

Does anyone know if the Apogee Gio is the only hands free controller that works with Garageband 11?
I don't need the transport control buttons (though they would be nice!) but just a way to turn on/off the stomp box effects. Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same problem with my iphone 5 and my Mazda CX5. The phone has to be unlocked the use your hands free button on the steering wheel. So, I have to change my lock settings on the phone to stay unlocked before I drive. Pain in the butt, and then reset them when I leave the car.

"iPhone 3" - do you mean the iPhone 3G or 3GS? Which iOS version?
Does your hands-free device support the Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP)? If not (many don't), you can't sync your contacts. If it does, you need to refer to the device manual for instructions.

Hi All,
I've been a huge fan of my 3G since purchasing it last September and have adored it even more since buying my 2009 Acura TSX. The car and phone seemed built for eachother and have worked seamlessly together since I bought the car in November. Unfortunately, while I also enjoy many of the OS3 upgrades, the OS has made my in-car experience very challenging.
The TSX has a built-in iPod connector that allows the stereo system to see and control most of the iPod functions (playlists, artists, albums, songs, etc.). The car also supports Hands-free Bluetooth for the phone functions simultaneously. Before the OS3 upgrade, all I had to do was simply plug the iPod connector into the phone, set the stereo to iPod and I was set. Since the OS3 upgrade, it seems that as soon as the phone detects the presence of ANY bluetooth network (presuming my Hands Free), it defaults the audio output to stereo bluetooth rather than the iPod connector. This forces me to have to go into the phone, navigate to the iPod app, select the audio output icon and then select the connector to get the audio to come through the stereo. One day when I own a car stereo that supports stereo bluetooth, I'll be thrilled to know this feature is available, however, presently, I'm dying for the ability to just turn this feature off (like WiFi, except that I need the Hands Free bluetooth capabilities for the phone to remain on). Just tell me how to set the default for audio output to be via the connector as it was before the OS3 upgrade and I'm set.
Also, before OS3, calls would automatically mute the audio coming from the phone and yet this doesn't seem to happen now - or at least not as seamlessly as it did before. I haven't had a lot of examples of this occurrence to confirm the behavior but it's definitely happened at least once (music keeps playing after the call starts) and I presume it's related.
Thanks for any help/guidance you can provide. This is my only real complaint with the phone especially since it represents a loss of convenience and functionality for me.

Thanks for the reply. Like you I eventually stumbled into the slow-down-and-wait solution as well. That has been serving me for about a month now. It's still annoying, though (I'm sure you'll agree) if you stop someplace quickly, leave the phone and get back in the car and have to disconnect and reconnect the phone.
You're right about the TSX stereo supporting Bluetooth. I mistakenly thought it didn't when I wrote my original post. The Bluetooth option in the car is interesting. It's cool that it "kinda" works, but the next and previous options don't work and I occasionally get interference when listening via that method. I hate the lack of control I have via the stereo bluetooth interface. I also am rather disappointed with how much of an inconvenience got introduced with the iPhone OS3 upgrade. It was just about perfect beforehand.
Anyhow, thanks for the response. Let's keep eachother informed if we have any other breakthroughs/better work-arounds!

Washington State now requires hands-free use: we NEED help from Apple

While iPhone pairs seamlessly with bluetooth-capable automobiles, users will nonetheless struggle to comply with laws that mandate hands-free phone usage in our cars. Answering calls is easy, but in order to dial in hands-free mode we need either
1) Voice-dialing
-or-
2) Complete contact list transfer, enabling one-touch dialing features already built into our cars.
At this time iPhone offers neither, and since I have to look at the screen to dial a contact I'd be in violation of the law when relying on my iPhone in the car to make calls.

My car has voice operated dialling (Honda Civic).
I program my numbers in the car via voice and allocate then a voice command (like "Mother").
Then all I do is press the button on the steering wheel and say "Dial Mother' the car repeats back to me "Do you want to dial Mother?", I press the button again and say "Yes", the car says "Dialling".
It then connects to the phone dials the number and the audio in and out is sent via the car microphone and speakers. It even directs the sat nav commands to the opposite side speaker so that you hear two distinct voices.

This is no different with any carrier locked phone. Getting a carrier locked phone officially unlocked is the responsibility of the carrier, not the cell phone manufacturer. A cell phone manufacture cannot unlock a carrier locked phone without the carrier's authorization.
An iPhone sold as officially unlocked when new can be used by others as a second hand phone, and the same with any carrier locked iPhone that can be unlocked by the carrier, and many carriers offer it.

Is there a docking station for the iphone lightning which allows you to either go hands free or to connect your headphone socket while charging

I am trying really hard to get rid of my hands free bt phone with answering machine, but I cannot find anywhere that has an iphone 5 lightning cradle that allows my headphone to still be connected while the iphone is in the dock. does anyone know of any?

Dire need to auto-turn on hands free

My user's are completely unable to learn how to click hands free before beginning a meeting, class, conference session. As I write this there is an off-site conference going on. I gave the users pretty pictures with instructions and help their hand through 2 training sessions, telling them about a dozen times to turn on the Mic, yet 3 hours into a conference I find out they have failed 100% to turn on the mic.
Is there absolutly anyway possible conceivable for me to turn on the hands-free either via the creation of the meeting, the template, the launch url or by the hand of god? This is an absolutle must accomplish for me. I don't care if the security promts them, I just want it to happen automatically!!!

Siri is now turning on the hands free and I did absolutely nothing.

It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution

I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

Bluetooth connection to car hands free

i have a motorola car hands free kit installed with my old 6230i the connection was automatic but i now have a 5500 sport this needs to be re-installed every time i get into my van does anyone know why or is the sport a H.O.S

If you try resetting your motorola car kit ( i dont know how) then pair your phone again this should work. also in your phone bluetooth settings see if you can change the motorola kit to automatically authuorise connections. It sound like the kit is still looking for your 6230i which needs to be deleted.

Nokia Lumia 1520 is not connecting to my hands-fre...

I've now changed my phone (1520, Yellow) to the UK code (059V051) and installed the Cyan update. Everything is working well, except for for one major problem with Bluetooth.
My hands-free car kit worked seamlessly until I installed the 8.1 Developer Preview. After which the phone would only connect as "Connected Voice" if I removed the configuration from the phone and paired again. I would then need to make a call within about 10 seconds or I'd loose the connection and have to start the whole process over again.
I basically have exactly the same problem with the Nokia Cyan update, except that on making the call the connection is immediately dropped. So is totally unusable.
I stress that it worked without a problem for several months prior to the Developer Preview install.

Microsoft Blue&Me? On which version are you? Blue&Me » Settings » Advanced Options » Image ID, if that menu option shown, your have the 2nd generation of Blue&Me. I guess you use the first generation. Therefore, are you at version 5.6?

I did a manipulation, and I have

Try unpairing the iPhone 3GS from your Cadillac, then try pairing the iPhone 5 again.

Also, iOS 6 uses AVRCP 1.4 so you may need to update the reciever in the car to make it compatible with with all versions of ACRCP.
