No luck, unfortunetly.  I've even restarted the whole computer.  They are usually still there, and sometimes, even older messages that I deleted from the drafts folder a long time ago, reappear as well.  I've also deleted the account from Mail and set it up from scratch several times hoping that would work, but it failed as well.

  • T List?Using Mail Version 6.3 (1503): where is the Contact list

Using Mail Version 6.3 (1503): where is the Contact list? On my old Pro it had "Contacts"

Hi, in Mail6.3 the button to display your address book and another of other useful quick buttons have disappeared. I am a first time Mac user and find the lack of options to manipulate the application astonishing.  I want to quickly access my address book from the email window, like having a button next to TO. This feature is very important as I do not always know the full names of the people I am writing too.  I also experience problems to open the address book when writing an email in iCloud and to load distribution lists. Also, I would like to use at least a two-level structure to save my email lists that I can display and hide. Resizing the contact app is another feature that has been limited, and also too browse for an email whilst a window to write an email is open. Perhaps you can help me to discover these options.
    Thanks.

  • The Send Icon on my email page has disappeared. On a MacBook Pro I am using Mail Version 7.3. How do I restore it?

I  open to compose a New Email and there is not Send icon (arrowhead) on my screen. How do I restore that?

    Launch Mail.
    Start composing a new message.
When the "New Message" window opens, click the "View" menu in the menu bar and select "Customize Toolbar".
    A sheet will drop down.
Either drag the "Send" button to the Tool Bar
or right click the default set under " or drag the default set into the tool bar'.
Select "Default Set" and then "Done".

  • E-Newsletter using Mail Version 3.1

Is there a way for a novice to set up a word processor e-newsletter to me emailed out like the one's I get from retailers so it will have hot spots so when clicked on it bring up a web site?
Thanks in advance or knowing what source to point me at.

My way of doing this has always been converting a Pages document into PDF and send it out by Mail. However, this might not be efficient enough.
You may want to check out *MaxBulk Mailer* by [Maxprog|http://www.maxprog.com/MaxBulk.html], it's a dedicated software to send newsletter to multiple recipients, but the down side is that it's not a freeware.

  • How to use Mail with Kerberos?

I am a Mac user in a mostly Windows office which uses an Exchange Mail Server 2003 for mail. Currently I connect to our mail server using Mail's Password Authentication. This works well, but our IT manager is concerned that this method sends the password in the clear, and would like to have me connect using Kerberos. But when I try using Kerberos (I've tried both version 4 and version 5 in Mail), Mail will not send. It waits a long time, then I get a drop down message saying "Cannot send message using the server ......"
There are others in our office using Windows laptops who are able to send mail using Kerberos, so it should work on our server.
Is there something wrong with Mail's use of Kerberos?
What do I need to change? (I'm using Mail Version 2.0.7 (746.2/749.3) with OS X 10.4.6.)
    Thanks.

It doesn't seem anyone here knows anything about Kerberos? Any suggestions where I might post my question and find an answer?

  • Mail.app 6.0 - reply all now cc's my email address - fix?

  • How does one continue to use Mail on the early MacBook Pro, Model 1,1, that is not upgradable to Lion?  I have been running iCloud on my iPhone (OS5) and iMac (Lion) along with the MacBook Pro (OS Version 10.6.8)

How does one continue to use Mail on the early MacBook Pro, Model 1,1, that is not upgradable to Lion?  I have been running iCloud on my iPhone (OS5) and iMac (Lion) along with the MacBook Pro (OS Version 10.6.8) since November until now.  Mail will no longer download on the MacBook Pro and keeps asking for my password.

Mail should still be usable with your machine - but you'll need to update the settings to conform to the requirements of your system. Check with your ISP (like ATT, etc.) for the settings that will work with your Mail. Once you've updated this, you should be able to email like before.
For example, my ISP required that I go to Mail Preferences/Accounts and make sure the details conform to your email settings.
I have no idea of what your ISP is or what the settings might be, but this is likely the source of the problem.

    ANSWERING MY OWN POST:
I have tried reinstalling Mail from my Snow Leopard upgrade disk directly and tried it using Pacifist. Neither worked because both simply reinstalled version 4.0. Fortunately, I have a MacBook Pro and it has version 4.1. I copied this directly, which was not ideal (it was quite confused about my mailboxes), but it worked.
The problem is that +Software Update+ did not detect the old version of Mail and Apple does not provide a direct way (that I could find) of downloading the latest version. Each time I downloaded Mail from Apple, it was version 4.0.

  • How can I use mail merge with numbers in the new pages version?

I am trying to use mail merge with the new version of pages and can not seem to be able to figure it out. PLEASE HELP!!!

Nope. Version 5 is a fashion accessory: it looks like software, but it doesn;t actually do anything. Sort of like a sports car with a lawn-mower engine. Looks snzzy. Doesn't really work. (And given how buggy it is, I should further specifiy that the lawn-mower engine comes with a blade: it chews up your old templates, produces files that cannot be sent as email attahcments [yes, really], and—this just in—doesn;t play well with the new SMB facility of Mavericks. In short, as one reviewer put it, "un unmitigated disaster."

Some have reported success simply by reinstalling the update.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1586
Or download and apply, or reapply, the 10.6.8 Combo update first, then apply the Security Update again.

I'd suggest starting with the simplest of these fixes, so look them over first.

You need to look for more than one copy of the Mail app on your computer. What has resulted is a "hybrid" version that never existed. We have seen this a few times before, and it likely results from something being in the wrong place during the update. Probably the best way to handle is to either find another version on your computer some place, or delete the current version in the Applications folder, install only the Mail app from the installation discs, and immediately apply the latest Combo Update to advance it the proper version.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it when I get home this evening.

The Mail app is not available for downloading.
You need to reinstall the Mail app from your install discs.

  • Mail version 4.5(1084/1085) can't be use on Mac OS X 10.6.8(Build 10K549) ?  --- please help

I just clicked software updated and after installed items that showed me to install - now mail won't work at all.  I get the following message, "You have Mail version 4.2 (1084/1085).  It can't be used on Mac OS X Version 10.6.8 (Build 10K549). For more information, click the Help button."  Help offers three suggested fixes, none of which have worked.  What more can I do to fix this problem?
I also check that Mail.app is in the Application folder. So any suggestion would appreciate.
Ps. should I try to re-install the Security Update (2012-004) .... if yes how can I do it?
    Many thanks in advance.
