Hi vazandrew, thanks for your help, Ive just checked, both home sharings ie Apple TV and itunes on my laptop, and they were both on , but for the heck of it, I turned them off and back on again. I still have the same problem.
Im looking in purchased films, am I looking in the right place ?

What does "old movies" mean to you? File type, audio and/or video compression format(s)?

To which fix do you refer? Activatng QT 7 Pro or converting the files? Even with QT 7 Pro activated you may need to modify your QT codec component configuration depending on the file type and compression formats used to encode your "old movies." There may be many different problems here with each having one or more "fixes." Please try to be more specific regarding your questions. Converting a muxed VOB MPEG2/AC3 file would be very different different from converting an AVI DivX5/MP3 file depending on which application you are attempting to use.

It is not Apple that decides this. Since Apple is just the retailer, they do not own the copyrights to the content they sell on the iTunes store, if the copyright owner decides to remove something from the store that you have purchased Apple must abide by the terms of their licenseing agreements and remove it. How can I make my Apple TV work? I downloaded two movies, to play later, on April 4, 2014. I tried to watch them this evening only to get a message they are not available and to try later. How long can it take Apple to download the movies? I encourage anyone thinking about buying an Apple TV to get a different media player that is reliable. Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

The old Apple ID (presumably your dads) owns those songs and your new Apple ID does not. However, your dad can authorize your iD to use the songs by going to Store > Authorize This Computer from your iTunes menu and entering his Apple ID and password.

I have purchased an Ambient Content movie. It successfully downloaded to my Itunes library. It did a sync with my Apple TV. whn I try to play the movie, I get a message that states, Your Apple TV is not aurthorized to play this content.

When i try to purchase an app that is free, i click the install green button and it just goes back to the free button and i can't download it? it just toggles back and forth between free and install. Please help.

If resetting the iPad doesn't help, try these things.
Quit the App Store app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. If that fails, try downloading something in iTunes. There is free content in there so find something that you don't have to pay for and download it. If that works, try the App store again.

I keep getting the "unable to download try again later" for two movies, help

I have two new movies that I can't finish downloading onto my iPad mini. I have plenty of space but keep getting the unable to download, try again later message. I signed out of my apple account and signed back in, no help. I shut my iPad off and tried again, no help. I'm currently trying to download them to my computer so I get just sync my account but one of the movies is in HD. HELP PLEASE!
