WE14 only creat new files

Hello,
we create IDoc-files with the tcode we14. The system which catch the file do this on the next day.
The report of the tcode we14 always create a new file. So when I run the report twize a day the second run kll the file of the first run.
I don't want to kill the information of the first run.
What can I do?

Hi Bernhard,
Instead of using the same file name you might want to consider utilizing a file name with additional information, like timestamp. You can set this in the outbound file port (transaction WE21), just choose the value help for Function module and you'll see a couple of default functions SAP provides. I'd use something like EDI_PATH_CREATE_DATE_TIME.

In my application, I need to write certain data in excel sheet. For that I created an excel template and I used the express vi in report generation toolkit to save the appropriate data in appropritate columns. I need a new file created everyday by that day's name and write the data to it rest of the day. I am having problems creating new file using this express vi. I tried using the low level vi's but not been able to it properly.

Go-OpenOffice Writer Will Not Create New File

I'm having a problem with go-openoffice writer, where it is unable to create a new file. If I open writer directly, a file appears for a split second on my screen and then disappears. This also happens if I attempt to create a new file from withing an already existing file. Strangely, I can open already existing files, just not create new ones.
I tried uninstalling and resinstalling go-openoffice, but this didn't help. Any thoughts on what might be going on? Thanks.

Yes that's my problem. I can't open an empty writer window. If I execute writer from the Gnome applications menu or from a terminal, I see the window for a split second and then it disappears, as if something is immediately closing the window the moment it opens. This also happens if I use the create new file command in the file menu, from an existing Writer file. This is not a problem with other Ooo apps. Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, Math all open new files fine. Only writer has the problem.
As a completely cumbersome work around, I can open an existing file, use save-as to create another file, and then delete it's contents.

Open/Create file dialog can only create the file

Hello,
Very strange problem I got.
The system is LabView 2014, on Windows 8. All 64bits.
For long time I was happy and had no big problems with LV. However, after a few months without working on LabView, the LV got the problem.
When I'm trying to open file using the file selection dialog (for example: insert SubVI, or select data file in LV program) I cannot. I can type a new file name and the press OK in the file selection dialog and have no problems with that. But I cannot open any existing file. When I press OK in the file selection dialog nothing happens. I can open VIs, projects, but nothing inside opened VI. Files I'm trying to open are not Read-Only, and the are no "insane", as the same problem I have for LV example files.
Looks like something on the level of OS, but I'm not sure where to start to look. I have tried to reinstall LV (just remove/install without additional cleaning, if any exist). Did not help.
Any suggestions ?

Code? You may be telling the code to only use new files, or more likely there is an unreported error causing trouble.

Is it possible in KM to change "create new file" dialog?

Is it possible in KM to change "create new file" dialog (Folder -> New -> Text File...) on consecution of my own screens(I mean user inputs information, presses next button, then again inputs information and so on)? And if its possible, could you please tell me how to do this. I'm new to KM as well as to SAP EP...

the PDF referred to mainly explains how to configure commands (within layout sets etc), but as far as I understand your question, you want to develop your own screenflows / command. First, I definitely would disadvise a beginner in the EP/KM area to start with such a task...

For more steps, you could start decompiling a command class of a command which is more or less similar to your needs (and the underlying classes) to get further insight.
If you really should get that far and have implemented your own command, you just can switch the implementation class if you want to change the logic for an existing command under System Admin - System Config - KM - CM - UI - Commands - UI Commands - <command in question> Java Class setting.

File adapter. Only get new files

Hi there,
I have a small problem that I'm not able to solve that easily with XI.
I have some directories that I need to get files from on a remote server. The only problem is i need to get only the new files and I am not allowed to delete the old files. Since we are not the only one getting those files.
So far I have not found any option to keep the old files and only get the new ones. Does anybody know a neat trick to get only the new ones?

Problem still is I am not allowed to do anything else then ftp/get on the files. I can't install a remote adapter engine or change anything to the files.
I hoped that it would be possible to store the filenames somewhere and compare a dir listing to the stored filenames before the real get is done. But even when writing an adapter module, the file will already be in the adapter once the module kicks in. And I don't want to get old files that I've already processed into my system since there is a huge history of files on the machine.
I think I might end up writing a perl script that searches for the new files and gets them and them sends them through to XI using a SOAP call.

I work with excel 2007 in window 7. Usually I create new files (.xlsx) by right click while I am inside a folder. But recently I have lost this opportunity. Now whenever I open a folder and want to create a new file (either .xlsx or .doc) I right click
there. But there I find neither excel file icon nor word file icon. Power point, Access, Publisher file icons can be found there at that time. I do not know how I have lost the opportunity. Being failed to create files inside a folder now I go to start button
or office button to create a new file.

I would agree with Repair step provided by Robert, this will rewrite all the registry keys into the computer. Please have a try and let us know the result.
Also, another quick way to rewrite all the registry keys and reregister the product is to run the problematic Office applications with "/regserver" switch:
Press Win + R and type "winword.exe /regserver" or "Excel.exe /regserver" in the blank box, then press
Enter.
You might also want to give this a try.

I install Arch i686 in home and in home I do not have internet connection , so at work I download all packages I need with this command

and move them to home and then copy them to
/var/cache/pacman/arch
and install packages with pacman
after two days , I run this command

and I see rsync get last packages again and use many Bandwidth

rsync manpage says the following:
-u, --update skip files that are newer on the receiver
--inplace update destination files in-place
--append append data onto shorter files
--append-verify --append w/old data in file checksum
I guess you need to add -u flag.
Reading manpages is the highest virtue in GNU/Linux.

Although, I would consider it rare, it is quite possible that this drive is just not 100% compatible with the AirPorts. Typically, in these cases, the AirPort will not even recognize the drive at all ... or it will, but not allow you to access it. I actually haven't come across a case where you can read but not write to a drive consistently or vice versa ... except from Windows-based computers. Sorry!

You can open Photoshop, you cannot create new documents. If you click file>new, the normal new dialog box opens, if you click "ok" it goes away. If you double click a PSD it focuses the Photoshop window. Nothing else happens.
For me this is a new issue today. My computer is an i7/780, more than capable of Photoshop, and has run it fine up until now. My keyboard started freaking out last night and doing things I didn't want it to. I suspect it changed a setting or broke something.
I have uninstalled and re-installed and it did not resolve the issue.
This is obviously a critical issue that needs immediate attention.

Hi, I've been asked to join this discussion. CCleaner is a nice tool, but if you used the Registry Cleaner that came with it, it might have done something to Photoshop's registry entries. There is that danger in using them.
One thing CCleaner does is leave a backup of the registry, or you can use Windows System Restore to go to that point before you ran the Cleaner. Let's go with System Restore. Review the instructions.

Try the steps below to check the issue.
1. Try to reset the preferences
Press Alt-Crtl-Shift on a PC as soon as you click Illustratir icon to reset the preferences to the factory defaults.
2. If that doesnt help try removing all the installed printers from the system one by one & check.
3. Also you can try to put the system in clean boot & check if the AI still crashes if you try to create a file.

Let me try again, Chenks. I'm a technical person by profession, and so can get deeper into things like this, but I have not attempted to use these methods of communication in the past. I'm trying to get some feedback to Apple on their worsening a product and really messing with existing customer configurations. I'll try to break things up below.
1. Configuration:
Existing Apple TV and Mac Mini configuration in place since December 2010.
Three Apple TVs, one in Family Room for music and movies, one in Master Bedroom for music and movies, the third one in the Living Room for music only.
I'm using iTunes as library. (Probably an obvious statement, but wanted to mention that.)
2. Pre 4.2.1
No problems at any location since configuration finalized and all equipment installed in December.
Since December, Family Room entertainment equipment was updraded to a new Sony Bravia 3D, and a new Pioneer receiver. The Master Bedroom still has the original Toshiba 32HLC56 TV. That unit has only one HDMI input. I'm using the built-in speakers. This TV/Monitor is about fives years old.
3. Problem
I updated the software in two of the Apple TVs to 4.2.1. I updated the Family Room device and the Master Bedroom device. I had not updated the Living Room device.
After updating to 4.2.1, the Family Room equipment works fine. That's the location with the newer TV and receiver.
The Master Bedroom has different problems with different movies: e.g. "The Little Mermaid:" video, no audio. "The Lion King:" movie wont start at all.
Additionally, in the Master Bedroom some movies work fine, other movies start but immediately go into pause mode. Pressing pause button on Apple remote will not initiate start of movie, screen does "flicker" for a moment but movie does not start to play, showing only the last frame that had been streamed.
4. Not really a problem for me.
Fortunately for me, I had not updated the Apple TV in the living room so I used it to troubleshoot the problem. Initially I thought it was a defective Apple TV in the Master Bedroom. I took the unit to the Apple Store in town and they exchanged it for me. I brought the replacement Apple TV home but I did not install it immediately.
While testing the Master Bedroom set up once again to make it was working for our afternoon movie watching, I was again reminded that a software update was available. That message came up because it was the unit I had brought over from the Living Room. I proceeded to update the Apple TV to the new software version (4.2.1).
As soon as I "updated" the software in the Apple TV to the new 4.2.1, the same problems manifested themselves. At that point I suspected that the problem was with 4.2.1, and not with the hardware.
I called Apple Support and went through a series of troubleshooting techniques. We tested the Apple TV with the new 4.2.1 installed in it. This is the unit which originially in the Living Room. Under the direction of the Apple TV support technician, I used the Family Room gear and the Master Bedroom gear to try and isolate the problem to hardware or software.
We eliminated the following as potential problems:
a. TV speakers in the Master Bedroom
b. HDMI cable
c. Ethernet connection
5: Conclusion:
Fortunately for me, again, the Apple TV that the Apple Store had given me that morning still had 4.1.1. So I installed that unit in the Master Bedroom and everything started working normal again.
6. Side note:
An interesting observation: In early March I copied several movies from the Mac Mini to my iPad and some to my wife's iPad. All movies worked fine on our flight out and while we were away.
My wife recently (about a week ago) updated the software in her iPad. and now some of the movies that played just fine on her iPad are exhibiting the same problems as the Master Bedroom TV when it is connected to an Apple TV with software 4.2.1.
Apple has been trying to fix some problems in 4.2 when it released 4.2.1. I make that observation based on recent articles I found on the web. Most likely the Apple engineers were trying to fix things in one place and broke them in another.
Clear as mud, isn't it?
7. In closing:
I'm good to go, I just need to remember not to update the software in the Master Bedroom Apple TV. I want to keep that unit at 4.1.1. It's possible that Apple might come to the realization that they hosed things for some of us. Because I do have three units in my home, I can experiement with the other two units should a "fix" come out. I can then update one of the two devices, connect it to the Master Bedroom TV, and see if the problem was corrected. If not, I stay with 4.1.1. But I'm not convinced that Apple will see this as their problem, it's always easier to point elsewhere.
