Anyone know how to fix the weather channel app

When I go to map area the time is off by over an hour, then if you tap the arrow for animation and future you get the animation starting 4 hours ahead of the current time. Any suggestions

My weather channel app doesn't work and freezes my phone. I've tried closing the app. Also tried deleting and readding it. All my other apps work.

Try this:
Make sure your iPhone is fully updated.
Restart your iPhone
Do NOT open the app, just delete it
Reset your iPhone (hold down sleep/wake and home buttons simultaneously until you see an apple logo, then release the buttons)
Readd the app
Open the app and test.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, then it may be an issue with the app itself and you might have to contact the app's developer.

I am using the weather channel app and don't have any sound. The sound button is at a Hugh level. Can anyone help?

You havn't got notifications muted have you ? Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to notifications can be muted either by the switch on the right-hand side of the iPad or via the taskbar (whatever the switch is set to control, the other function is controlled via the left end of the taskbar). Try a reset: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

Why is the Weather Channel app blocked in OSX?

Every attempt I've made this evening to install a The Weather Channel app on this computer has been blocked.
The app is fine on iOS..
What gives??

Because iOS App's for iDevices are not made to run in OS X.
Also > The Weather Channel App for Windows with Current Conditions, Local Alerts, and Radar, will not work because it is only for Windows desktops.

Application Permissions Request The Weather Channel App

Beginning yesterday 5/8/2012 The white screen pops up showing Application Permissions Request. TWCStandard is requesting permission to use the following resources. There is a box with location and a check mark. there is a box with connections and a check mark. A save button and a Details button. This pops up everytime I click on the weather icon. Is there a way to keep this from popping up every time? It did not used to. I have uninstalled and re-installed the weather app 3 times and 1 time in safe mode. I have edited my permission several times. Any suggestion would be helpful.

did you ever figure out a solution for this? our problem is that when we unlock the blackberry, the permissions screen is ready and waiting even though we have not tried to open the weather channel app.

Why was the Weather Channel App changed?

The new weather Channel App for the touchscreen really sucks now. I used to have it as the "Screensaver" because it showed everything all in one place. Now its completly useless. You have to make different selections to see useful info instead of having it all on one screen. You used to be able to walk by, glance at the screen and see everything you needed or wanted to know. Is there any way of getting the old app back on the touchscreen?

Weather Channel App. Uses lots of background data

The Weather Channel app uses alot of background data, if I restrict background data, it says it may cause an app to stop working when only mobile available. Does anyone know of another weather app that would not use up so much data? Or is there a setting on the weather app itself that would help use less data?

I had the same problem. I switched to the "Go weather" app. it takes up less ram while running in the backround and it gives you the option to choose how often it will update the weather. Most weather apps will update every 10-15 minutes and so that will eat your data. this allows you to update manually whenever you check the weather so it doesn't use your data much, if at all. Hope that helps

Weather Channel App Question?

When I open the Weather Channel App on my 8330 it always goes to a screen that says "The waether channel is requesting changes to its application control permissions"
How can I stop this? What settings is it looking for?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
The settings it is looking for should display when you continue into the permissions screen. You "stop it" by allowing the settings it is requesting. If you do not allow the settings it is requesting, it will forever nag you with the request because the application is coded to require those settings. To change that, you'd have to contact the app developer.
The only caveat here is if you are subject to an IT Policy. It may be that a setting it requires is not accessible to you due to IT Policy restrictions. In which case, there's no way for you to grant the setting it is requesting, and it will forever nag you. To change that, you'd have to talk to your BES administrators about changing the IT Policy.

Can't download weather channel app to first gen iPad

Question: What must I do to download the weather channel app to my first gen iPad with iOS 5.1.1. I keep receiving message "must update to iOS 6.0 or higher"

You should be able to install it. If the iBooks app isn’t in the purchase history of the iTunes account that is being used on it then try downloading the current version on your computer’s iTunes so that the app is in it. Then on your iPad go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app and see if you can download an older compatible version of it

Uninstalled weather channel app deleted browser

I uninstalled the Lame Weather Channel App using the desktop manager. When I tried to access the ESPN app it said that there was no instance of browser. So I believe that the browser was removed. I did a restore and the browser is still not on the main screen. Is there a browser install via the web or on the original CD? Please help.

Go to OPTIONS.ADVANCED OPTIONS. HOST ROUTING TABLES.click to enter, menu key, SELECT REGISTER NOW. You will get a verification email. Wait 5 min to make sure you get the service books.Then pull the battery while the device is ON, replace after a minute. Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed,

Weather Channel App will not Stop asking for Permission

Device = BB Torch 9810
Have installed/removed/re-installed Weather Channel App several times and it Constantly keeps asking for Permission (@ least 10 times a Day).
Solution Please?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Some of these apps get pretty tricky, let's take it on!
You will need to turn your radio off, so pick a time when you can be close to the home phone.
Go click on the options icon>click on device> the scroll to Application Resource monitor turn it on
and let it shut down streaming apps as well. Save and exit. We just set the first trap!
No scroll up one to application management. Click to open and Under Applications select optional.
Now make sure the you delete every instance of the Weather Channel there may be a group of several. Save and exit and open your browser .click>options select clear browsing data. Clear everything cookies pushed content, download list cache, and history. Click the back button twice and leave the browser. Turn your a radios back on. Let's if our trap works and the app is pushing content to your phone.

My Weather Channel location list does not "load" on Weather Channel App on Apple TV-only a spinning wheel, with "accessing..."

When attempting to accesss my previously established list of “Locations” through Weather Channel on Apple TV, all I get is the spinning wheel, with “Ascessing...” message.
Any suggestions on how to reset my Weather Channel settings (to start over), or how to access my “Locations?”

i have the same issue. I sent an e-mail to TWC and they responded back saying they were aware of our issue and are working to solve it. I have no idead when that might be. I have a friend whose TWC works somewhat. Hers loads but she cannot save her location to My Locations. Just a thought for you that you are not the only one experiencing issues.

TS3274 I updated my weather channel app and now it keeps shutting down. I have deleted WC and reinstalled twice.

I click on my weather channel icon and it brings it up for about two seconds and then it disappears. I have deleted WC two times and reinstalled but it still doesn't work.

Try restarting your iPad. HOld down the home and sleep keys, past when you see the red slider and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again.

My Facebook and Weather Channel app are still waiting after the update to ios6

Since I updated yesterday afternoon all of my purchased apps are not showing on the wall and two of my apps are still waiting to be updated. I have shut my phone down and restarted it plus logged into FB through my settings.

Apparently, my setup of using a symlink (created in Terminal via "ln -s") for my "Movies" folder in my home directory to a different directory on the same HD had something to do with the problem. I removed the symlink and moved the folder back into my home folder. Then FCPX prompted to upgrade my projects. I'm backing them up now before trying to do that. ;^)
So the bug is apparently that FCPX cannot work correctly with Mac OS's filesystem features… :-(
