Weather is Wrong

The weather icon that shows in the Notification Center is wrong, and I have no idea how to fix it. It shows a Sun icon, but it's actually raining here, plus the detailed hour-by-hour weather report shows that it's also raining. So, why is the sun icon showing, then? This is the automatic weather by location, so, I'm not able to change it or disable it, apparently.

I have the same problem, and I am also in Vancouver. It was doing the same thing this morning, too.

The reason for the problematic weather prediction in Apple is simple and disturbing at the same time.
1. Traditionally Apple gets its weather data from Yahoo! they do so regardless to the fact that Yahoo is not a weather company, this arrangement has historical reasons (and it has nothing to do with the accuracy or quality of service you as a user are getting from Apple weather).
2. Yahoo! (not a weather company) gets its weather data from the Weather Channel.
3. Weather Channel CEO (David Kenny) also serves as Yahoo board member. So good luck changing the Weather Channel Yahoo agreement.
4. The iPhone build in weather app is one of the world most popular apps, The Weather Channel has no incentive to make the Apple weather app as accurate as The Weather Channel own app.

My weather is wrong for the first time!

For the past few days, the very first city listed on my weather has been incorrect! It is in like the wrong time of day... This is only happening with the first city listed, the rest are fine. I reset my phone and it worked for a few hours, now it is messed up again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Several others have reported this error. Many have reset their phones and it has been reported as corrected. The issue is the information the iPhone displays here is received from Yahoo. If an error comes from their information, it will display incorrectly. Others have reported deleting the city they are using and re-entering it again. Some have also reported making sure they had more than one city listed.
I couldn't comment on that, I have not had that issue. Since I read that you have done a reset, the next step in troubleshooting would be a restore. That decision is up to you.

Clock and sometimes weather displaying wrong location

I have had the Incredible since June, up until yesterday I have not had any issues with the built in clock/weather display on the home page. Yesterday, Sep 27th, it no longer was displaying a local town for the clock but saying Los Angeles with the weather for there. I first clicked the weather part and did the refresh which did change the weather to say my local location; however the clock still was displaying Los Angeles for the time. At this point I just turned off the phone then back on and it was all back to the correct listings. It stayed correct after that.
Then today I was going to check the time in the afternoon and it said the time and temp for Shanghai China. I am thinking this is the same issue as yesterday so I turn off the phone again, turn back on and it is the correct time and temp location. This lasts for about 30 seconds and goes back to Shanghai. I try the refresh on the weather part and it changes but not to my location but to Hong Kong. I don't know if Shanghai and Hong Kong are in the same time zone or not but the time stayed the same 5am time when it changed. I try the weather refresh again and it does then change the weather location to my local location but the clock remains on Hong Kong time. I then went into the settings and location and then proceed to try every variation of VZW Locations Services, Google Location Services, and then Standalone GPS Services. The last one does change my time back to the correct time but I would prefer to leave it on one of the others as the GPS one I can literally watch the battery drain.
It has been a couple hours since this occurred and I am now home and it is still giving the time as Hong Kong, with the correct weather for here. Currently I have switched to GPS as the phone is plugged in so I don't need to worry about draining the battery. I am hoping tomorrow morning when I switch it back off of GPS it will keep the correct time and weather.
Has anyone else suddenly had this issue, and if so what fixed it? I have not had any updates on the phone for any apps in several days so I assume nothing else on the phone was changed/altered as I was not playing with the settings lately.

While I like the phone the battery is horrendously bad and when I have had the GPS on in the past it has a noticeable effect on the battery, as in at work I end up having to connect it to my computer to charge the battery a bit.
Either way that still does not really fix the very sudden issue of "phone having a new locationitis". Why would both the VZW Locations Services and Google Location Services say I am in Shanghai and then Hong Kong. I did open Google Maps to see where it said I was and that was correct which I would really think would agree with the Google Location Services so that doesn't make much sense why Google does not agree with itself.
It is currently about 3 hours after my initial post and currently the phone is saying with the default weather and the clock I am at the correct location, so it does appear to have corrected on it's own. But it did the same thing yesterday so I am now thinking it could happen again tomorrow at some point or really how reliable it is to keep the correct location. I do suppose someone can track me but think I am in China so I can do all kinds of local shenanigans and then say it wasn't me I was in China, check my phone location.

Icon for weather showing wrong temp

I notice the icon for the Weather app shows 70 degrees. It is most certainly not that here in Colorado. Is there some place I can set my default location? I only have one place even configured in my weather and that is here in Colorado.

Mine show 73 deg F even though it is 56. Probably another bug. Apparently you sure dont get much for $20. Not even bug free apps.

I have IOS 7, my ipad weather is wrong

In the notifacation center ipod my ipad, it says rain, a high of 25 degrees and low of 18 degrees, but I don't know Celsius, my ipad is running IOS 7

Weather application on 6.1 (native)

Weather application on iPhone running 6.1 (mine is iPhone 5) has problems.
After i bought iPhone, i've never seen the right degrees and weather on my phone. It is a mess!
Wrong degrees, see attachments.
My phone is not modified in any stage. I have just Skype, Gmail, and Youtube installed.
I know that Apple weather application gets weather statistics from Yahoo, and Yahoo gets from weather.com
So, weather is wrong on iPhone, it is also wrong on yahoo LINK and finally is also wrong on weather.com LINK.
Is there a chance this problem to be solved ever ?

Weather App Temp is Wrong

My current temperature on my Weather app has been stuck at 32 for at least a week (which is not correct). The hourly is correct for the rest of the day but the current is always at 32. Since Siri and the summery screen link to this it's all wrong. I downloaded the Yahoo wather, it's wrong also. The weather channel app works fine but I would like the weather app that I cannot delete to be correct. Any suggestions? or who I can contact to get this fixed?

The same thing is happening to me: current temp frozen (so to speak) at 32 for the past week. Hourly temps are correct. This is only a problem for my home city (Murfreesboro, TN). All other cities have various current temps, which I assume are also correct. I have deleted my city and added it, restarted the phone, tried all this with location services off and on etc. but no change. This happened once before but it only lasted a day. Going into week two is really annoying.

Whats Wrong With My Weather Widget?!...

I have two users on my PB, the second users weather widget works fine.
I've tried copying that on over with no luck - I've deleted the dashboard plist file with no luck...
...anyone with any idea on how to fix this?...

I've got the same problem! It affects all apple widgets... but not any 3rd party ones I've downloaded. It's a real pain.
Perhaps the widget files (located in HD>Library>Widgets) have something wrong with them? But if the widgets work in one user and not in another, then that can't be the case. :-S

Siri tells me the wrong weather forecast

I love the fact that Siri is now available on my New iPad. When I ask "What is the weather today?" It references the weather app which is not on my iPad (I assume it is built into Siri) but it tells me the weather for the wrong location. Since the Apple Weather app is not available in Settings I can't change the preferences for it. Any suggestions?

Both are turned on.
Siri informs the name of my city correctly (when I ask for the forecast), but the weather information is wrong (the temperature seems to be coming from another city).
The name of my city is Curitiba (located in Brazil).
But when I check the temperature informed by Siri, in comparison with the Yahoo weather application (which is the one used by iPhone 5s) yahoo app gives me a different and correct temperature (something around 10 degrees or more of difference).
Any idea how could I fix this?

No.
The Weather icon is not updated with actual information.
Think about it. If 4,000,000 iPhones(presumably more now) were constantly updating that icon it would(could, rather) create a tremendous load on the servers. That isn't to say it's not possible or that other phones/devices don't do it, only, it's just wasteful - in my opinion...

Apple Weather app temps way wrong

In Melbourne the apple weather app is often quite a few degrees off. The Yahoo! link takes me to weather.com which shows quite a discrepancy with Yahoo!'s own weather reading. Yahoo! is in line with the local Bureau of Meteorology. Today the temp is out by 5*C or 9*F.
Have contacted weather.com, Yahoo! Weather, but don't expect any resolution. Tricky when there are so many parties involved. Might have to mail sjobs. Though think pointless.

Weather app in iOS 8 is wrong all the time now

Since upgrading to iOS 8, the weather app has been reporting that it is "Mostly Sunny" in Vancouver every single day. However, if you see the attached side-by-side photo, you'll see that it is not currently "most sunny" in Vancouver, and hasn't been for the past 3 days.
It's lovely that Apple has given the new weather app a sunny disposition, but, I'd prefer accuracy. Anyone else experiencing this anomaly with the new weather app?

Thanks, that worked for me, too. However, if you have Location Services turned on for the Weather app, it still doesn't display the correct weather for that panel. It only works if you specify the city name manually. Obviously an iOS 8 bug.
