I have a problem with my weather. it is not updated properly. I live in KILLEEN TEXAS Austin is only 1hr and 30 min away but the tempeture is very difeferent. today it is showing 20 degrees in diference and know that it is night does not change to the night view. is some one having the same problem?

I have had this same problem in relation to Atlanta and the city I'm in is just a suburb of Atlanta. I decided just to set my city to Atlanta and accept that as it is never really that much off from what it is where I live. I'm assuming that it is just that major cities have up to date weather to the minute as it is much easier to monitor the weather with a large city than a small city. I don't know about how to solve your problem as your city is further from a large city than mine is, but I guess you could just use Austin and accept that weather as your own.

As obsolete phones get older more and more services cease to function, this is normal and only to be expected.
They aren't disabling services just to make you switch because after all you are free to choose any brand you wish. The reason services are withdrawn is often when usage drops below a certain level that it is no longer financially viable to keep the servers running.

Why is my Mozilla Firefox toolbar not working? The weather icon has not updated in weeks!!

For over a week I've had a terrible time accessing the web via Mozilla Firefox, so went back to using IE. Tried again today, and things seem to be fine, EXCEPT that the weather icon on my Mozilla Firefox tool bar is still not updating to the current conditions. It hasn't updated in weeks. What is happening?

HTC Weather App not updating (diff issue-sync issue)

Okay so let start off by saying I have the 2.2 Froyo Software.
If you add a widget, theres is a widget called "sync all"; whether it is a new one from 2.2 I dont know but lets move on. I have that widget on one of my screens. Periodically I will hit that sync button because I refuse to have it enabled all the time for it to update on its own.
So we should all know that by sync'ing it updates: Backup Contacts/Twitter/Weather/News/Stocks and maybe more.
However after hitting that sync button, minutes on end my temperature is the same; my weather is not updated.
If you were to go into Settings>Accounts and Sync>scroll down to Weather and click it; it will say that the weather was in fact updated but the home screen widget is not updating.
Even if you were to manually update it via the settings/accounts and sync/weather and then click weather update, the status will say it has been updated but the homescreen widget will not budge.
I called HTC after talking to Verizon and HTC also had noted that it too wasnt updating for him either.
I am a user that has everything disabled. But while I await for replies, I will enable everything and start checking things off one by one to see which thing it needs to function.
I dont have Background Data Enabled
I turn off Bluetooth-Wifi-and all locations.
OH and PS: if I go into the weather app and choose the update from that screen; YES it will change temperatures and weather but not by performing a sync.
Again HTC noted the same issue; thought it was a software glitch but last time I called them on this issue was well over a month + ago

the background data needs to be checked in order for the weather to update once you perform a sync; everything else you can leave unchecked

I don’t know how it got messed up… Seems ok now, but this is how it looked like:
Language – English
Voice control – Английски
Keyboards 1 – Bulgaria ON
Region Format – Bulgarian

Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on and everything should copy back onto it.
Working now !!!!!

Home page weather display will not update how to fix this?

On my home page, my.Yahoo, I have selected "weather" for one of the displays. In the past this display kept pace with the current day but now it is stuck on a day and will not update to the current day. I have re-booted, terminated FireFox, restarted it, turned the computer off and back on, and the weather still is stuck and will not update.

A couple more suggestions:
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

My iPhone 5 native weather app will not update locally

I have an iPhone 5 my local weather will not update via the default native weather app!!! Now If I enable wi-fi it will update via my home network. However, once I turn off wi-fi it will not update my local weather BUT GUESS WHAT CUPERTINO WILL UPDATE EVERY TIME!!!

Location Services enabled in general, and in particular for the Weather app? Mine needed that in order to discover where I live, but having done that and establishing said location as its home, will update thru whatever it finds up, Wi-Fi or cellular.
However and after participating in several other threads regarding Weather, it would seem that different buyers get a different Weather app instead of a single standard one, maybe depending upon carrier whim. Mine's main screen looks like this:

My Ipod Touch is less than one week old, it worked fine for 2 days. Then no update on any application although the Wifi is ON.
Wifi is on. Password has been accepted. Network screen provides IP Address Subnet Mask Router and DNS - Search Domain and Client ID are left blank.
All existing applications, Weather, Stocks, ... are not updated.
I have tried to do a full restore. This does not solve the problem.
Has anyone got a solution to my problem.

There is no auto update, you have to go the App store and check updates. On the main screen under app store will be a red circle with a number in it that tells yo how many apps need updating. It's best to update when on WIFI, no data usage.

Stocks not updating

Since upgrading to 3.0, the stock app will not update my prices. It just clocks. Is this related to 3.0 or is the market just having a bad day?

Same here, stocks and weather on my regular iPhone 3G. Last updated this morning. I thought I was going crazy because everything else works and I reset the phone. Hopefully yahoo is fixing it soon.

IOS7 Weather Not Working

In ios7 (5s) the location based weather app is giving me weather for the wrong date and time. Any suggestions?

So I'm still having this problem and it's really, really annoying. This afternoon, my weather was not updating to the correct time or location. Note in the screenshot below the time is 3:01 PM and my weather is still saying that "now" is 12 noon. (I tried from 2:45 to 3:05 and it never updated.) Also of interest, this is location-based weather and it says Sterling, even though I was nowhere near Sterling.

1. Apps such as Weather, Weather Channel, and Outlook is not updating for days at a time. Once I received two missed calls messages nine days after the fact.
2. Outlook. If I delete an email on the computer. It does not delete from the iPhone. Same if I delete an email from the iPhone. It does not delete from the computer.

My homepage will not update, it's stuck on old information, please help!

I have dellbiz.myway.com as my homepage. For several weeks it will not update the information on the homescreen. The same article appears at the top (there are usually several different ones that change every few seconds but this is not happening, it's stuck on an old article). You can also enter a zip code for your local weather and I can do that and it changes to my local weather at that time but when I close the browser and re-open it, it does not keep that setting even though I check the box to "save the location." Can't figure out how to get this straightened out. I have cleared the cookies, history, cache, etc., but to no avail.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Microsoft Live Tiles do not update

I have two different PC systems with Windows 8.1 (with all the updates).
In both systems the Microsoft live tiles "Mail", "People", "News", "Sports", "Food", "Health"
have the following issue:
Starting from a fresh installation they update as live tiles on the windows start screen.
BUT
when I click on them for the first time, I get into the app which works fine and after I close it, the tile stops being live. That is, if I click the tile it opens the app ok but then it stops
to update on the windows start screen.
The only solution that I have found is to uninstall and reintall the speciifec tiles again.
But even then the problem recycles. At first the live tile is OK and once I have entered the app and then closed it the live tile does not update.
Note that, of course, all live tiles are set to ON and that other tiles from Microsoft, such as "Weather" and "Stocks", or from other publishers such as Accuweather work and update without problems.
Any help appreciated.

There could be many reasons for it. You need to make sure that your Local Disk is not full. If it is not then follow the given steps below to solve your problem.
1) Change your screen resolution to 1024x768.
2) Run windows 8 app troubleshooter, choose repair.
3) Unpin the apps, then pin them again
4) Restart.

I tried to drag the new version to the trash but the old version still runs error message and will not open. I did not try to restart with the new version in the trash.
