Weather on maps no longer in degrees celcius? help
for some reason the weather on nokia maps shows temperature in degrees F, it used to be in degrees celcius, how can I get it back to degrees C?
In the Finder,navigate to your projec folder. Look in the Shared Items folder. Is there a video ffile inside? Does it play intact?

I will be part of an arctic expedition in Baffin Island during march and april 2007. We are planning to send data back to our HQ in europe through the INMARSAT broadband system. For that purpose we need to operate a laptop at very extreme temperature (-30 degrees Celcius or -22 degrees Fahrenheit), and I was wondering if it would be possible to use a Macbook in those conditions. Will it fail to work properly?

You will have to have some provision for heating the electronics up to enable extreme usage. There are numererous ways to do this. You might also want to discuss your plans with Apple engineering in Cupertino. They might have some ideas.

Find my iphone map no longer moving and scrolling as before
I have tried this question on another forum where someone else had the same problem, but there's been no further response, so I'll try my luck here.
I regularly use Find my iPhone to keep track of my autistic son, who has an iPhone 4, when he is out with his support worker. For the last couple of months when using the app the map no longer moves and centres itself automatically to the whereabouts of the green dot when the phone is located, so I therefore have to hunt around to where I expect he may be. Also the map no longer zooms in and out as before using the mouse wheel. Instead I have to use the buttons in the corner of the map.
It happens on both Chrome and IE browsers on Windows 8.1, and all software/apps are up to date.Thanks, Lawrence. I figured that was what I was going to have to do in the end. I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.
Thank you both Paul and Lawrence. I clicked "This helped me" not knowing it would remove the option to choose "This fixed my problem" too. For anyone else reading this thread. Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again! -
The fan is inconsistent as well. Sometimes it will stay at 2000 rpm past 80 degrees Cecius and other times it will be at 6000 rpm at 70 degrees celcius. Just watching small flash videos, it hit 94 degrees celcius. In response, the fan only went up to 4000 rpm. Is this normal? That doesn't seem healthy.
if you tried everything (smc reset, pram reset...) but if they didn'T fix your problem, your problem is apple's mistake about thermal paste.
apple using too much thermal paste accidently in their factory and too much thermal paste make problems like this.

Mac is overheating(more than 90 degrees celcius)
Hi everyone, just as the title explains my macbook pro is overheating much to easily nowadays. Everytime i run anything the temperature ranges from 78-90 degrees celcius. Is this normal and is there a way to reduce the temperature
(Further Info:Macbook pro 10.6.7,2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 4GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 memory)

The things that are currently using the most cpu is only firefox which is at 3-7%. Usually when i run games(like Minecraft or Portal 2) or learning applications it heats up like the core of the Earth.

I'm not that good with handdling Macbook Pro's so how do i know how much free space i have on HD?
Click on HD icon, hold down command key and press i (=Get Info).

Top surface of the Playbook charger reaches 54 degrees Celcius / 129 degrees Fahrenheit
I just got a Playbook and I'm seeing a reading of 54 degrees Celcius / 129 degrees Fahrenheit on the top part of my charger (measured using a temp gun). Is this normal?
My charger gets warm but not hot enough to burn me.

I did not deactivate a photoshop cs6 before there was a new "C" hard drive installed on my computer and a Win7 Pro fresh install too. How can I activate photoshop on the new hardware if I can't deactivate it on the old hardware that is no longer available? Any help will be appreciated.
If it's the same machine (same CPU) there should not be any need to activate. The actiovation is tied to your CPU.

Just the name? Don't ever recall that being a feature. However, for Mail and Messages (and a few other apps): Settings app > General > Text Size

JScrollPane is no longer opaque! Please help.
I have recently upgraded from Java 1.2.1 to 1.3.1 and switched operating systems from win 98 to win 2000.
Since doing so I have run an application I have been working on only to find it has slightly changed visually, I don't know what has caused it!
Basically, I have a JTextArea held within a JScrollPane. The textarea is supposed to be opaque when the application loads, which is still fine, but now even though the textarea is transparent, you can't see the background. Instead all you can see is a large gray block within the limits of the scrollpane. I have tried switching the scrollpane to opaque, but unfortunately this does nothing - the gray stuff is still there.
I have included the problem code below, please note the code worked fine before, and the only issue here is that I arent getting the true transparency from these components that I desire:

I have the same problem. Here is something from the jdk 1.3.1 docs:
A common operation to want to do is to set the background color that will be used if the main viewport view is smaller than the viewport, or is not opaque. This can be accomplished by setting the background color of the viewport, via scrollPane.getViewport().setBackground(). The reason for setting the color of the viewport and not the scrollpane is that by default JViewport is opaque which, among other things, means it will completely fill in its background using its background color. Therefore when JScrollPane draws its background the viewport will usually draw over it.
You see that the Viewport is opaque by default. Probably, this is what needs to be changed. If you do have a solution do let me know too.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

- The iPod uses the location of a nerby or connected router to determine it location based on a database of routers and their location. It appears that the routers near y are not in Appl'es database. As of yet, nobody here seems to know how to get routers added to the database.

you cannot create folders for photos on the iPod Touch. you must currently do it on a computer by syncing the iPod with a photo program, and creating folders within that program and syncing them over. kinda stupid, but hopefully they'll fix it in an update soon.
