Weather & Stocks Not working

I have the update and everything. It worked fine on Saturday when I did it, but since then the Weather, Stocks, and sometimes the Maps will not work. It started out as the Stocks not updating and I couldn't ever get it to. Now the Weather app won't work either. I reset all the settings thinking maybe I changed something but that didn't work. When I did that of course it got rid of the city's I had in the weather, and I can't get them back. In fact I can't put any location in. Please help! Has anyone else had similar problems??

Thanks. I didn't know b/c I'm connected pretty much all the time @ my office so I haven't seen them working @ all.

Weather widget not working after upgrade to Snow Leopard (Australian areas)

The weather widget is not working since I upgraded to Snow Leopard.
The feed seems to have changed from Accuraweather or something like that to Yahoo!Weather, and Yahoo!Weather seems to have problems (at least concerning weather data feeds from places in Australia).
I live in Kempsey, New South Wales (Australia). I can't input that address, because it won't validate. When I try typing my address in the widget autocompletes with "Kempsey, Austral Eden, New South Wales (Australia)" (FYI, Austral Eden is a rural parish near Kempsey, but Austral Eden is not in Kempsey and Kempsey is not in Austral Eden). That address will validate, but there seems to be no weather feed: ie. I don't get any information displayed in the widget.
The nearest address that will validate correctly is "Port Macquarie, New South Wales (Australia)". The Yahoo!Weather feed doesn't provide any information about that, either.
I can get a weather data feed for Canberra. But Canberra is 800 kilometres from here.
I think I want to change back to AccuraWeather. How would I do that?

I'm annoyed by this as well.
I was planning on buying my father the Snow Leopard upgrade for Christmas, but there is no way he'll want it without a working Port Macquarie weather widget. ( I'm not kidding! )
I've looked at the AccuWeather widget as well, but it is really ugly!

The new map and weather functions not working.

I add an address, but the map or weather does not appear in the event window.
How do I get that working?

Having the same problem. An address I entered yesterday automatically added the map to the appointment. Today when I add an address to an existing event, I see the whirly-gig spinning, but no map is added. I've tried removing the address and re-entering, but, no difference. If I Control-Click on the address in iCal and select "Show Address," the Map app opens showing the correct place on the map. So, not sure why it won't appear in iCal.

Why are not my Apple widgets movies and stocks not working? I reloaded operating system(per genius bar) to no avail

I have mountain lion and all of a sudden my Apple widgets: movies and stocks do not work. The movies comes up blank and the stock one lists my stocks but no longer with updated prices. It gives current articles at the bottom and says" retireving data". The genius bar said I needed to re-install my operating system which I did- but no difference. The stocl app works fine on iphone. And, screen usage to scroll with track pad and/or mouse does not respond. Get right side choices even tho I have used tracp pad and/or mouse.

Weather widget not working well

Hi,
This morning I found that my weather widget didn't update to the latest weather - still on Saturday.
The internet connection was good. I live in York, England, and since it didn't work, I tested with other cities, like London or Leeds, it worked fine. But when I tried to change it back to York, the city didn't change: it remained at the last one I checked.
I tried to refresh it, and then it's all blank...
I am hoping it's the problem of the network, but can anyone please test it for me and let me know whether York, England (United Kindom) works for you or not, please? Thank you so much.

It seemed to be a temporary problem and it's working now.

Weather Widgets Not Working

I've just noticed in the past few days that my Weather Widgets aren't working anymore. All I see is the two city windows, but they are are just a blue blank window (with the city text on top).
Does anyone else have this problem?

The URLs aren't directly exchangable and the old widget seems to work through Apple.com whereas the other widget (which is a third party widget) goes through acccuweather.com I think this probably par for the course in terms of Apple and Tiger (and maybe Leopard too since somebody was posting on this in the 10.5 forum too). Probably somebody pulled a plug.
Maybe if somebody with a higher level OS and working Apple weather widget wants to poke around we could do more, but I wouldn't think they would change only the URL just to irk us and not how it interfaces.

No one is going to be able to run your script without those script libraries, so you are going to have to describe exactly what doesn't work. My guess is that you are referring to the email part - when calling a handler inside an application tell statement, you need to use the terms me or of my to indicate that the handler is part of your script, and not something that the application is supposed to handle, for example:

Weather apps not working

suddenly none of the weather apps on my iPad have stopped working. I have tried several. Most will not open at all. The Weather Channel app will open but closes when I try to use radar. Any ideas?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

10.6.8 weather widget not working

The weather widget on my dash no longer recognizes Surrey, BC Canada and instead defaults to Vancouver even when I enter my postal/zip code, BC. Surrey use to work before the update.. I've tried other smaller cities around my area and they too all seem to work.

i think it's a generally problem on macs to synchronize the canada weather to your mac. Try this download link:

The weather widget not working - what should I do?

I change the city in the weather widget, but for some reason when I go back to the "home" page..... the weather is totally different. I live in Massachusetts and I know for a fact that we're not having 70 degree weather.

I found out that there's not much you can do with the weather and clock app. It's hard to explain. They are just an icon. It's kinda like an "icon shortcut." You make a shortcut on your computer to access things you use on a daily basis. (i.e. documents, shared drives)
It's not like Windows 7 where you can have something called a gadget to see the time, weather and being able to change it to your specifications. It's sooo stupid. Why bother having an icon of a clock and/or weather if I can't see the time and/or weather temp??

Weather Channel not working on 700

I installed the Weather Channel app on my 700 after being told the Nokia weather app would no longer work, now the WC app doesnt work either!

Hi, daveysludge2. May we know the exact issue you're having with the app? Have you tried to uninstall and then re-install the app from Store? What's the version of the app on your device?

Weather Widget not Working

Sorry if this is in the wrong place but my wather widget isn't working, it just comes up blank, is this a problem on my side or what?
I don't know how the widgets work exactly so I don't even know where to start fixing this issue, any help is appreciated.
If it matters I have a 20" Intel iMac running OSX v10.4.5

Hi Jake, If you click on the little 'i' in the bottom right hand corner of the widget, it will rotate. Enter your nearest town, zip whatever, hit 'enter', click 'Done', and it should work. If that doesn't work, try disabling it by clicking on the + symbol, then clicking the X next to the weather widget. Do the same thing in reverse to put it back and it should come back with a default setting. Go back to the little 'i', as above.

Weather Wiget Not Working

I noticed this morning that my weather wiget wasn't updating at all. So I deleted the wiget from my home screen and then re-added the wiget to my home screen. When I try to add a city to the wiget, i get an error saying "Can't add new city now. Try again later." What's wrong with this thing?

I have provided some information below that may help.
Step 1. Try a soft reset
-Power off the device
-Pull the battery out for 20 seconds
-Place the battery back in
-Power the device back on
Step 2. Ensure the that the signal strength is adequate (3-5 bars)
Step 3. Try removing the widget and adding it back.

-Select refresh
