Weave on N810 with a custom Server
hello, I want to "weave" using my custom server. I also set up everything and it works with Firefox on the PC. But how can I setting this server in "weave" on Fennec? I find only points for username, password and the secret phrase.

Weave sync 1.1
Hi, you must to go to [http://example.com about:config] page in fenec and set the option <code>
extensions.weave.clusterURL
</code> to url of your server. Then set username, password and secret phrase in standard configuration window. I tried this in fenec for Windows mobile and it works.

Problem with JNI (custom shared library) on App Server
We have a custom built shared library (.so) we want to use with the app server (a webapp). The .so is wrapped with java class and works to spec when tested outside of app server (webapp) environment with test stub. When wrapper class is introduced to App Server (webapp) & embedded function is invoked we recieve java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError(). We've looked to make sure $LD_LIBRARY_PATH is correct but still recieve this exception. Any suggestions? Running nm against the .so shows undefined symbols but these should be resolved by $LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Any suggestions?
what version of appserver are u using...if 7.0 then try using their common class loader as per this docs:

Can I use Wiki Server with a custom build of Apache?
Hi there. For various reasons, I may need to roll my own build of Apache, PHP, and some other web technologies. What I'm hoping to do is use Wiki Server for the collaborative part of our site, but I don't know if it can be set up to run with an Apache build other than the one that comes with Leopard.
Can this be done? If so, how?That could work, I suppose. I take it it's not possible to configure the Wiki Server to work with a different build of Apache?
I'd just as soon not run two Apache instances on our new system; that's what we're doing now, on our Tiger server, and it's a bit inconvenient to have two sets of web configuration settings to worry about.
If possible, I'd like to use the Wiki server with a custom Apache build. (I need to rebuild PHP, you see...) -

# Don't forget to take note of the long string printed by the create_user script, that's your SyncKey, and you need it later.
# In the server URL field in the "sign in with existing account" dialogue, you must enter a trailing slash, ie. if you installed Weave Minimal at https://myserver/weave, you must enter this at https://myserver/weave/

Customers not able to log in with Microsoft ISA server firewall.
I have a few external customers that are having issues logging in. In all cases it is with the customer having Microsoft ISA firewalls.
They can get to the site. They put in their username and password. The screen flashes back to the logon screen, no errors, just back to the screen.
On the logs I seen the logon page request and the 200 OK but, the username and password never come across.
I can not tell if the username and password are being blocked by the ISA server or when the logon screen is presented that the username and password fields are just not active.
Has anyone else see or hear about this one?We are seeing a slightly different problem but certainly related. We are using a SAP cFolder server for PLM collaboration. Companies using a Microsoft ISA server are not seeing problems logging in but are seeing problems with the mass download feature. They are seeing the connection hang. Looking at the ISA log file on the server they are receiving an authentication problem and a broken connection. If you try a single file download everything works OK. Also vendors without ISA are working fine.
What is it about ISA that would be causing issues like these? -
Is it possible to override the built-in PDF format handler with a custom IFilter for PDF?
Hi,
SharePoint 2013 comes with a built-in "format handler" for PDF now, so it can index PDF files out of the box. This is great for most users, as it now no longer is necessary to install a third-party IFilter for crawling PDF documents.
My question is, is it possible to override the built-in format handler for PDF with a custom IFilter for PDF? I played with the Set-SPEnterpriseSearchFileFormatState and Remove-SPEnterpriseSearchFileFormat cmdlets. While it is possible to deactivate
the built-in format handler, I was not able to remove it and to create a new one that activates a custom IFilter for PDF files.
Background of the question: While the new built-in format handler for PDF will probably be sufficient for many SharePoint users, some need additional capabilities regarding indexing if PDF documents, e.g. extraction of custom metadata from PDF's document
information dictionary and embedded XMP metadata. PDFlib GmbH, the company I work form, sells an IFilter for PDF, and of course we would like to continue to offer this for SharePoint 2013.
Thanks
StephanYou should be able to replace it with any ifilter you want, this is the procedure for installing it:
Install PDF iFilter 9.0 (64 bit) from

•Restart the SharePoint Server Search 15
•Reboot the SharePoint servers in Farm
•Create a Test site (with any out-of-box site template) and create a document library upload any sample PDF document(s).

Error while accessing application with the custom components
Hi experts,
I have an application (HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT) of component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT which uses a Webdynpro component with the same name (HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT). This Webdynpro component (HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT) uses 2 other components (HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY and HAP_DOCUMENT_HEADER). For my client requirement, i need to create the custom components by copying from standard components as the UI layout changes are quiet huge and not manageable with the enhancements. To accomodate this i have changed the standard configurations by replacing the standard web dynpro components with the custom ones copied. Apart fomr this there are no changes to the standard.
While trying to access the application, i am getting the error as Null object reference.

Third party SSO with a custom login module
Hello everyone,
I've found a few posts on the forum with questions similar to mine, but none have been answered. I'm using a 3rd party authentication product along with a custom implementation of the AbstractLoginModule interface.
The setup is standard: A 3rd party agent is installed on a reverse proxy web server to SAP. The agent is configured to protect SAP resources, and it handles the login screens and authentication. Once the user has been authenticated, the AbstractLoginModule implementation kicks in, decrypts and validates an SSO token, retrieves the username from it and creates an SAP Principal.
The login ticket template is configured as follows:
1. EvaluateTicketLoginModule SUFFICIENT
2. MyLoginModule REQUISITE
3. CreateTicketLoginModule OPTIONAL
One of the integration's key requirements is that direct interaction with standard SAP authentication must be avoided. More specifically, the user should never need to enter an SAP password. I'm only seeing two problems, both of which violate this requirement.
The first is in cases where there is no existing SAP user that matches the authenticated user. In this case, the third party token and SAP Principal are created, the abort method is called, and the user is redirected to the SAP login page. I need to either bring to user back to the third party login page or to a custom error page~.
The second problem occurs when an SAP password change is required. Again in this case, an SAP form is displayed after the module has created the Principal (although once the user changes the SAP password, all's well). If I were to disable mandatory password changes, would this apply to fat client access as well? If so, then it's not a viable option.
The general idea in both instances is that the SAP I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.
Thanks
~ Since the SSO token applies to applications outside of SAP, I may add a login module parameter to make this a configurable choice. (I.e. allow the administrator to decide whether to inform the user that SAP authentication failed while preserving the SSO token, or to destroy the token and force re-authentication). However, if there is a way to configure the "bad credentials" URL outside of the module's code/parameters, it may be better to place the choice there.Hi Julius,
Thank you for the quick response - and on a Sunday, no less!
I have considered verifying that the user existed in SAP before creating the Principal. One might argue that that would be the common sense thing to do. The reason I've held off is that the error should be so rare that it may not justify the overhead. There's a requirement to have a one-to-one username mapping between SAP and the authentication application. It would be more efficient to assume that this requirement has been met and to handle the Exception when it hasn't been. Of course, that doesn't mean that it's the right way to go.

For the first concern, if they can access the logon page directly (anyway) you could disable it as you do not want any password based logons (right?) and redirect it to your external page or an error page.
Yes, this is what I'm hoping to do, but I'm not sure how to do it. Here are some comments and questions about this:
1. What's involved in disabling the login page? I would think you'd need to replace it with something else rather than just switch it off. Could I limit this change to the login ticket template so that other templates (basic authentication, for example) are still available?
2. Keep in mind that users will never get past the "real" login page unless they have been authenticated. This complicates matters because we're dealing with a scenario in which the user has already been authenticated but doesn't exist in SAP. Therefore, it wouldn't make sense to go back to either login page.
3. What's involved in redirecting to an external page? Is this an explicit redirect in the module code, or can it be decoupled from the module? It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to avoid mandatory module parameters for relative paths to error pages.
I think the question I'm after is: "Can I simply change an SAP login URL parameter to point to a custom error page, and allow everything to work as it does now (where SAP handles the redirect)". If so, could I limit the scope of the change to the login ticket template? What would be even better is if I could configure SAP's response to this error. Somewhere, it's currently configured to display the login page. Ideally, I'd be able to configure it to display myErrorPage, and then set myErrorPage to the appropriate URL.
+_Julius Bussche wrote:_+
For the second concern, I assume that there are no valid passwords involved here which might have expired, so as long as the user does not have the option to activate a password again and anyway cannot logon via password as the option is not presented... then you should be fine here as well with a forward proxy. Not sure which Java APIs are offered here, but you could check this together with the existence check and react to both prior to accessing SAP "from the outside".
The problem here is that the SAP passwords are needed outside of the integration. It's true that whether an SAP password has expired is irrelevant to the integration. However, this is a Web-based integration; SAP passwords must still be available to users who have access to other clients. With this in mind, could I create a user password policy that disables password expiration and automatic password change, but only apply it to Web client access? If not, do you know how I might override SAPu2019s behavior?
Once again, thank you for taking your time to help me out. I am very grateful.

Archival services with Flash Media Server
I work for a broadcasting company and we do live telecast of
various events, mostly related to professional sports. We currently
have a Windows Media Encoder 9 setup with Windows Media Server,
etc. I have a custom written application that archives all of our
broadcasts. This was accomplished with the M$ media SDKs. Archival
means we record each one of our daily live feeds for review and
archival purposes (game footage for coaches, stuff like that).
We are currently looking at h.264 capable setups, or
something equivalent. We have been playing around with Adobe's
encoders, media server, and all that. We are impressed with the
quality. Switching to this right now has some logistical
complications, mostly related to an operational requirement based
on our current business model. Simply switching to h.264 overnight
isn't going to be possible; we will need to prepare.
So, with that in mind, I have a question relative to SDKs and
Flash. My current application (the archiver) can archive up to 120
events simultaneously on a single, reasonably fast machine on a
fast network. I have to be able to record at least 60 on a given
night, the 120 was discovered during testing and its faltering is
relative to network collisions and getting ethernet up to 40%
utilization more than not having enough CPU to process the streams.
I would need something similar for Adobe. I have the spec (at least
the public domain version) for the tunnelling protocol so reverse
engineering this isn't going to be a big deal. What I'm mosly
interested in is an SDK with functionality that allows me to record
a lot of streams in software for archival purposes. This SDK has to
be smart enough to deal with Disk I/O VERY intelligently because
clearly anything more than 8-12 realtime stream records to a disk
in a linear fashion is going to overload the hard drive.
Before anyone starts spouting off about DRM and piracy, we
are recording the broadcasts we own. This is for archival and this
archival process has to be automated (the app isn't JUST a
recorder, there's a whole process shielded from the operators of
this thing for defining stream locations, where to save the files,
and all that). I realize all this code that automates this process
for our company would still need to be written. What I'm interested
in specifically are readers and writers for flash streams,
especially relative to network reading and disk writing
(intelligent disk writing; I've written custom implementations of
MMS, HTTP, etc that mash the hard drive).
In a nutshell, is there an equivalent SDK for Adobe's
technology as the Windows Media Format SDK is for WMV files? This
is currently the only hurdle in implementing Adobe's h264
technology in lieu of our current setup (which is 100's of encoders
and locations at the current time, all over North America.
Thank you for your time.Take a look at On2's Flix SDK for Live. That uses the VP6 and
any day now, the h264 codec for FLV. -
Problems configuring Platform Domain with MS Sql Server
Hi,
We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.
We are using Weblogic version 7.0.0.2. These are the steps we followed
1.We manually created a database called TestDB and created a user account called
"system", pwd ==>> "weblogic" in SQL server and assigned him as the DB owner for
the TestDB created.
2. Changed dbsettings_properties files (Commented pointbase entries and uncommented
SQL Server entries. I gave the connection parameter as connection=jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4:localhost:1433
in this file.
3. Modified Config.xml and changed properties for DataSyncPool, WLIPool, CommercePool,WLIPool
and modified the RDBMS realm properties to point to the database.
4. ran the create_db script and it seemed to have run fine looking at the log
file.
5. I then tried to start the BEA Server instance and I get the following error.
I am also attaching the config.xml file for reference.
Appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

Does the user system have the Portal database as his default database?

Hi,
We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.

Synchronizing Disaster Recovery site with the production server
Hi All,
One of the customer is asking the following query:
"How Disaster recovery site can be synchronized with the production server and how do they switch? Will the web logic server do this for them?"
This customer is having two sites one live and one a DR (Disaster Recovery) site on different location.
Can somebody answer my query?
Thanks in advance.,
Regards.,

Is your Datagaurd Physical( Redo Apply) or Logical( SQL apply)?
Does it have Datagaurd Broker?
When Datagaurd is setup in your environment - on the primary database( live database) the Datagaurd users LGWR or/and ARCH process to collect redo data and ship this data to standby ( DR site) and the FAL process to provide client-server mechanism for shipping archived logs to standby.
On standby database, The Datagaurd users RFS process to receive redo records from primary database, the MRP process applies redo information to standby database.
If the Data Gaurd Broker is enabled, Datagaurd also used DMON process to manage and monitor both primary and standby databases as a unified configuration.
When there is any connectivity issue to the standby and when connection is re-established, the accumulated archive logs are automatically shipped and apploed to stanby, until stanby is resynchronized with the primary. This process does not require any administrative intervention.
If there is a very large Archive Gap between the primary and secondary due to some major issue. Then the unshipped archive logs need to be shipped manually from primary to standby and needs to be applied in standby to sync up with primary. For some reason there will also arise rare issues like problem with not applying of archive logs though log shipping is success. So some work arround will solve it.
Comming to planned /unplanned outages of production site.
Datagaurd has Failover and Switchover( planned ) methods, These are not automatic, but have to be explicitly initiated by the administrator( So there will be downtime but minimal). Once initiated, Datagaurd automates the processes involved.

Hoping someone can provided some guidance/thoughts on a FTP problem I have with OS X server running on a Mac Mini. Currently I have devices FTP'ing to a Synology Diskstation with no issue. I have always found FTP setup simple in the past but am stumped migrating away from the Synology to the Mac Mini as the server. The devices (which happen to be Panasonic network cameras) that FTP to the Synology without issue can not FTP to the Mac. Here's an entry I see in the server log and I assume it's related to the issue. There is not much in the log that states have relation to FTP.
Jan 11 11:30:23 Mac-Mini-Server com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.ftpserver.7262CD1A-4D63-462C-933D-9BF805814421): Service instances do not support events yet.
I have the FTP started, users defined, have FTP defined under "access" as custom access with two users allow from all networks on ports 20-21. In the FTP configuration I have a share setup as /ftproot with folder permissions for the two users with read&write access. I have tried both passive and active FTP. I think I've looked through all of the server config but can find anything else that I believe needs to be set up/defined. I have validated that I can use both userids to start and FTP session when done from a terminal window, so userid/passwords appear correct. Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!Further test has determined there is no issue with FTP to the defined shared folder but I'm unable to point the files to a sub-directory under the share. Is there something that has to be done to enable the sub-directory as an accessible folder under the share that is defined in the server?

Start with CIS - Custom command generation
Hi guys !
I just start playing around with CIS, but I'm facing some problems while following the exemple in the developer guide. I tried to add my own command, so I followed the steps described in the chapter 6 of this guide.
I create my basic command, calling my basic service (which just set a variable to "Hello world"):
package com.oracle.commands.text;
import com.stellent.cis.client.api.scs.ISCSServerBinder;
import com.stellent.cis.server.api.scs.impl.SCSCommand;
* Retrieve a list of all the providers in the Content Server.
* @scs.command name="sendText"
* category="text"
* service="SEND_STATIC_TEXT"
* @scs.method parameters="SCSContext"
* api="custom"
public class SendTextCommand extends SCSCommand{
protected ISCSServerBinder populateBinder (ISCSServerBinder serverBinder) {
serverBinder = super.populateBinder (serverBinder);
return serverBinder;
}I put this file in D:\ContentIntegrationSuite_10gR3_20071031\sdk\CommandBuilder\src\java\com\oracle\commands\text, then modified the customapi.properties file like this :
api.identifier=Oracle
api.accessorname=OracleCommandAPI
api.implname=Oracle{category}API
api.interfacename=IOracle{category}API
api.package=com.oracle.stellent.client.api
api.returnType.default=com.stellent.cis.client.api.scs.ISCSServerResponseAfter that I compile it with ant and link my "project" (a mix between the samples and page 103 from the developer guide) with the cis-client-8.0.0.jar et cis-custom-8.0.0.jar freshly generated and compile it. So far, everything works fine. Below the source code of my "project":
package com.oracle.connectors;
import java.net.MalformedURLException;
import com.acme.stellent.client.api.AcmeCommandAPI;
import com.acme.stellent.client.api.text.IAcmeTextAPI;
import com.stellent.cis.client.api.scs.ISCSServerResponse;
import com.stellent.cis.client.api.scs.context.ISCSContext;
import com.stellent.cis.client.command.CommandException;
import com.stellent.cis.sdk.samples.UCPMClient;
public class SendText extends UCPMClient {
public static void main (String[] args) {
SendText sendText = new SendText ();
sendText.initialize (args);
try {
sendText.connect ();
sendText.execute ();
} catch (CommandException e) {
e.printStackTrace ();
} catch (MalformedURLException e) {
e.printStackTrace ();
protected void execute() {
AcmeCommandAPI acmeCommandAPI = null;
ISCSContext context = null;
IAcmeTextAPI textAPI = null;
ISCSServerResponse response = null;
try {
//Grab the Custom API Accessor class by its generated name
acmeCommandAPI = (AcmeCommandAPI) getClient().getBean("AcmeCommandAPI");
//Create our context.
context = getClient().getUCPMAPI ().getActiveAPI ()._createSCSContext ();
context.setUser ("sysadmin");
//Get our directory API object from the Command API.
textAPI = acmeCommandAPI.getTextAPI ();
response = textAPI.sendText(context);
//do something with the returned server response object
System.out.println("-----Response-----");
System.out.println(response.getMessage());
} catch (CommandException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();
}But when I try to launch it I get this :

Edited by: Rémy on Oct 23, 2008 3:55 AMFinally with the help of some people, I figure out how to solve my problem \o/
Apparently the API command generation is not really working (in my case not at all...), so the best way to reach your own services from a java application is to execute throw the executeIDCService methob.
Here is the working execute() funtion:
protected void execute() {
ISCSContext context = null;
ISCSServerResponse response = null;
try {
// Create our context.
context = getClient().getUCPMAPI().getActiveAPI()._createSCSContext();
context.setUser("sysadmin");
// Get the response from our service
response = getClient().getUCPMAPI().getActiveAPI().getAdministrativeAPI().executeIDCService(context,"SET_STATUS", null);
// do something with the returned server response object
System.out.println("-----Response-----");
System.out .println(response.getUser() + "/" + response.getMessage());
} catch (CommandException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}And the result:
-----Response-----
sysadmin/Hello World
