Captivate 7 Web Interaction and HTML5 (Mobile Devices)

Hi All
Does anyone know if the Web Interaction widget introduced in Captivate 7 will work in HTML5?
I try testing it in HTML5 from Captivate, and it does not work. Only the border and the loading animation show up, the website never actually loads.
I read in another post that you may need to upload it to a web server to work. If this is true, will it work if I publish it to an app on mobile devices? I use phonegap to push Captivate projects onto mobile devices, and currently it is not working when testing on iOS devices. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Here is the reply (in bold) I got from Suresh Jayaraman from Adobe when I logged this as a bug.
"The issue you are facing has nothing to do with SCORM setting. Probably you might have heard about Click Jacking , One of the ways web sites prevent themselves from this attack is by not displaying when loaded in a Frame or iFrame. They achieve this by setting the X-Frame options. They website you were trying to load in Web object was Adobe forums which has this protection and it is the case with some other websites like Google.com, facebook.com as well. As Web object interaction on run time loads the website in an iFrame such protected websites when loaded doesn’t show up."
"I have attached a test file which would help you to determine whether the website you are loading is Click Jacking protected or not. Change the website address and launch the page from a web server and if it loads all is well, it would load in your Web Object interaction as well. Now enable reporting and try the same page from SCORM.com and It should display the page."
The test file he is referring to is a html file. Since I cannot attach the file here, I am copy-pasting the source code:

To test, first I changed the website address in the above code to that of Adobe forums. When I had inserted this site in my Web Object interaction, this site failed to show up (see my previous posts). When I launched this test file shared by Suresh from a webserver, the result was same... the site did not open.
Next, I changed the website address to http://infosemantics.com.au. This site worked in Web Object Interaction and it worked here as well.
I did not test it in SCORM Cloud as I was convinced by the reason Suresh provided. (I hope I am not wrong.)

SAP Mobile BI IOS SDK provides such SDK to embed analytic views (Web Intelligence reports and Dashboards) supported by the SAP BI application inside your own custom mobile applications, while Android SDK does not provide such sdk. I would like to know if there is any plan or roadmap to support this interface in Android SDK?

Thank you Vishwanath for your reply. We already developed an Android App, and just want to embed and open SAP BO report directly inside our own App, instead of launching SAP Mobile BI App.

Communicate a Web application (Flex) with a mobile Apllication (Flex)

Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to communicate a Web application (Flex) with a mobile Apllication (Flex).
when I Click on a button in my web application I receive an alert in my mobile application.
if you have any ideas I would be very grateful.

I tried that but my problem is that the code is so old. At least what I saw. I don't know how old is too old and I'm trying to do things "right." I saw code from 1998, but I don't know if that's still what you do. It might still work, but that doesn't mean it's correct. There's so much out there on Java that so old that half the time I'm not sure what to do because some other technology in J2EE or the latest Java SDK might have come up with a new way to do things. Thanks.

Can anyone help with iPlayer and Sky Mobile?

Ok, I'm so close to giving up with this useless phone. There are 3 apps on my N97 which give me a constant headache.
BBC iPlayer
Sky Mobile*
YouTube
*I should point out that I only use Sky Mobile to set recordings on my Sky+. I do not use it for, nor have any desire to use it for actually watching Mobile TV.
All of these apps work absolutely fine over my home WiFi network. It's when I try to use them over 3G (my Vodafone Live! connection) that I start running in to trouble.
All 3 give me connection problems, errors, and simply refuse to load half the time when on 3G. I got so annoyed I just did a hard reset the other week, and magically all three started working again. However, now 2 of them are failing me again. YouTube (touch wood) is working fine at the moment, but iPlayer and Sky Mobile just aren't.
iPlayer sometimes works. But sometimes I get script errors (unable to load content), and sometimes it says something about checking my connection settings. I wouldn't mind but it's not actually possible to access any options for the iPlayer. Even in application settings there are no options you're able to set.
Sky Mobile simply flat out refuses to work ever on 3G. But it did after I did a hard reset for a couple of weeks, now it just stopped working! It wont even load. It just gives the error message 'Unable to connect to network - please check connection settings" or something along those lines.
I've tried so many different things. Tried setting my internet connections to 'always ask', tried setting it to default to Vodafone Live! all the time, tried setting my video streaming settings to WAP, all sorts. Every combination I can think of.
I just can't wait to get rid of this phone. I've put so many people off buying one. They see it and think it's all swish and cool, and I just say 'Don't. You'll regret it'. I can't wait for my contract to be up so I can upgrade to an iPhone now Vodafone have got them.
Can anyone help with these problems? Thanks in advance, but I don't hold out much hope...

About iPlayer.
Have a chat with Vodaphone. Streaming iPlayer over 3G IS allowed on Vodaphone contract, unlike my O2 contract. As long as your contract allows it, and you have the correct AP address, it should be fine. Vodaphone should be able to give you the setting.
Mine only works over Wlan.
FWIW, "... streaming over 3G is not currently available on iPhone handsets on any mobile network".
p.s. Just to be clear. You say "Tried setting my internet connections to 'always ask', tried setting it to default to Vodafone Live!".
iPlayer uses the Nokia browser "Web". So that's where you should make the setting "Ask when needed". It should then offer you the choice of whatever you've set in Destinations> Internet> then select whatever you've chosen as your GPRS connection.(as advised, or sent to you by Vodaphone).

Yes, there are some requirements for certificates in Expressway.
Expressway Core (Exp-C)
- Can be signed by either External or Internal CA
- Better to use a cluster name even if you start with 1 peer in Exp-C cluster. In the future, if more peers are added, changes would be minimal.
- Better to use FQDN of cluster as CN of certificate, this way the traversal zone configuration on Expressway-E won't require any change even if new peers are added to Exp-C cluster.
- If CUCM is mixed mode, include security profile names (in FQDN format) as Subject Alternate Names
- The Chat Node Aliases that are configured on the IM and Presence servers. They will be required only for Unified Communications XMPP federation deployments that intend to use both TLS and group chat. (Note that Unified Communications XMPP federation will be supported in a future Expressway release). The Expressway-C automatically includes the chat node aliases in the CSR, providing it has discovered a set of IM&P servers.
- For TLS b/w CUCM, IM-P & Exp-C

ICloud is not working and still mobile me conflicting with icloud on lion

I am really starting to lose faith in Apple ever since I got this icloud problem on my macbook pro.. Everytime when I do something with icloud, it kept asking my old mobile me account and saying 'mobile me' services are no longer available.. how can I totally wipe out old mobile me from my macbook pro and running only with icloud?? Also why my Pages is not syncing with icloud or there is no option to upload?? Although I activated 'icloud' from my system preference, I cannot find 'mobile document' folder anywhere on my mac?? Someone could help me??

I am in Belgium: same problem since this morning. My email sometimes works, then stops working again and this on all devices + browser access to icloud.com. I called Apple support (based in the Netherlands it seems). I was told they are aware of the problem and asked me "for a few days patience". A FEW DAYS? In what century is Apple expecting us to live? Is that the kind of support Apple expects us to accept for a PAID service? Unfortunately it is not the first time me.com or now icloud.com does not work as it should. Every time I call support I get the same answer "it should work again soon". What is even more annoying is to read on the Apple web site the statement that all services are running fine! On what planet? It is really sad that Apple does not even recognize there is a problem. Apple customers are loyal but Apple inc needs to learn there are also limits to loyalty. If I am supposed to use my icloud account for business communications then I should be able to rely on that service. Being offline for days is not an option. Wake up Apple inc.!

Maximum file size in creative cloud and Lightroom mobile?

I Am interested in purchasing the special offer for the photoshop photography program where I can move and edit photos between a desktop version of LR, the cloud and mobile LR. I use large Raw format files of about 25 MB. I saw that photoshop CC app can only handle up to 12 MB files, and was wondering if there is a maximum size limit for mobile Lightroom?

There is not really a limitation. The Lightroom Mobile technology lets you view and work with large files by creating compact proxy images on the tablet. Settings will be synced between the proxy and original raw-file on your desktop computer. Hope that answers your question. -Guido

Web Pages not loading on Mobile Devices

Browsing web pages not working on mobile devices
I have bt inifinity 2, from my laptop and mac (with same wifi connection) webpages load no problem, from my android tablet and iphone (with same wifi connection) web pages not loading. On these devices I can load youtube videos, and apps have connections/load data, it seems to be limited just to browsing webpages.
I have tried changing ssid for the 2 channels, I have tried disabling wifi on the router, and using apple time capsule as the router, everything seems to result in the same problem, you cannot browse web pages on mobile devices.
previously i had adsl from bt and didnt have these issues.

I'm just surprised Steve/Apple made such a big announcement as though these technologies were already well known, discussed, documented, and used on the Mac (or in Safari).
Getting the development done in the 18 days Steve quoted seems like a steep hill to climb.
My other thought is that if the iPhone apps will run on the iPhone under Safari, then shouldn't they also run on Windows under Safari. In this way Apple could get a bunch of special apps to run on Windows but require Apple [free} software, i.e. Safari, as the 'virtual OS'. This could get more Windows users to see the advantages of OSX over Windows, and eventually lead to more switchers, thus enlarging Apple's market share.
Alex has noted some IO interfaces that are speific to the iPhone and telephony, but Safari is a general browser. Google has created a spreadsheet app which I understand is based on AJAX-like principles. Why not all sorts of other apps, mainly targetting usage in the web domain. Link this to a .Mac account as storage (wasn't .Mac going to feature more in the new Leopard OSX?) and we have a trojan for getting Apple software usage on Windows machines.

Only if you were to measure the physical dimentions. (Using physical dimentions and changing the ppi would add or remove pixels)

A 1200 x 1600 pixel image will be the same on all devices that share that ratio, the ppi difference comes into play when the phyical size of the screen is changed.
Technically the quality never changed only the zoom changed.
When designing a screen at 1200x1600 (example) That image will fit on any screen that has that spec.
The ratio plays a role when only 1 of the 2 pixel dimentions changes (width or the height).
On larger screens, the ppi is lower to equal the same number of pixels. So when a device can support a higher resolution, the ppi is increased on the same size screen.
Knowing that, having the specs of the device will tell you the maximum number of pixels that screen can display.
Therefore, when designing a screen, always start with the largest resolution (pixel dimmentions) first, then downsample to the next size screen and so on.
The reason is simple, it is easier to remove pixels, then it is to add them later, as photoshop or any other software does not know what should be there.
BTW, this is also the reason why you can change the pixel dimentions in the save for web dialog box and not the physical size or ppi. To make it easy to reduce the pixel dimentions.

I believe the people who said JSE is only for desktop development are not correct, as well as their saying their are 2 kinds of developer (web service and component).
As I understand it, web service developers provide a way to expose the data and functionality of a program written in a particular language (such as Java or C#) as XML documents to anyone subscribing to the service over the internet. The remote applications subscribing to the service therefore can be written in any other language. For example, imagine a Cobol program trying to get data from a program written in Java. Since both cobol and Java should have ways to parse XML documents, they don't have to know each other's syntax. There are many programs written in many many languages in the web and XML is a standard way for them to communicate. Web Services are an advanced topic and you shouldn't worry about it until you master web applications and/or desktop applications.
As I understand it, a web component developer creates java widgets that produce some visual image with basic functionality associated with it. For example, an html button. These widgets are used by other developers for the presentation layer when creating a web application or desktop application. I'm not sure about this definition since I never messed with web component development. I suggest you keep way from this specialized area on concentrate on web applications and/or desktop applications.
You can consider application development as devided into two general categories. Web development and Desktop development (there are others). Web development is further broken down into browser based applications and mobile device applications. I suspect their are more jobs in web development than desktop development. I therefore suggest you concentrate on browder based web development (just my opinion). How to display local HTML5 web page in flash builder mobile application?

We have one single html5 web page that includes script tag to include a set of resources(java script).
Currently we have tried using web view, htmlloader and IFrame, but none of the approaches worked as the page is included in the assets folder itself of the application, and we need to run it on the mobile device(not the browser).

If all you are doing is loading an HTML5 web page I would look at using PhoneGap instead:
