Web ADI Create Document - Short Cut available to Select Responsibilities

Web ADI Create Document - Short Cut - Save to Form Funciton, available only to select WEB ADI Responsibilites
How do I make available saved Short Cuts - Form Functions, available to a select group of GL Responsibilites that can only create Web ADI documents. I only want them to be able to select about 4 to 8 saved Short Cuts, limiit all others and not allow them to create new short cuts using "Save to Short Cut List" or "Save to Form Functon".
Saved functions start with a generic name (Example: xxxxxx - Fun Amts - Single Ex2003). Other form functions not to be assessable with start with a differenct genteric name (Example: yyyyyy - Fun Amts - Single Ex2003).
Responsiblities follow a generic name pattern of: aaaaaaaa Comapny_Name Web ADI, where Company_Name can change by responsiblity. All aaaaaaaa would be allowed access to the same saved form functions.
WEB ADI used only for GL Journal Entry
RDBMS 10.2.0.4.0
Apps: 11.5.10.2
Thanks for you assistance.

Hi.
I am not fully sure about your question. If you know how the function has been defined, what prevents you from assigning this function to a menu and use it?

I still have no response or answers
Refer the section "Creating Form Functions Using the Create Document Page Flow" in Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator Implementation and Administration Guide. User to have system administrator responsibility assigned to have this feature enabled as this is a SysAdmin task.
THE BIG QUESTION - since "Oracle on Demand" will not allow their users to have System Administrator, how can I add the required functionality to the supplied Application Administrator and resolve the questions below?
    Problem Description:
Web ADI – Create Document, Save to Form Function is grayed out, therefore it can not be used
    1. How do we enable Web ADI functionality to Create document and Save to Form Function?
    2. Once saved to form function how to we navigate to Application>Functions?
    3. Once the Short cut is saved to the Form Function, how do we attach to a user’s responsibility?
We have only Application Administrator with no Applications> Functions menu, however we do have in our test instance Application Developer with Applications>Forms and Functions, but it does not appear to have the same rights as SysAdmin. I tried adding the menu functions simular to SysAdmin to Application Administrator but no luck unlocking (ungraying) the form.

I have a Macbook Pro 10.8.4 Lion, but when I upgraded from Mountain Lion, my keyboard went a little wacky. I could of spilled something withnot noticing, but honestly I think I would remember. The help support had no ideas to fix the issues despite our attempts.
So is there a way to create a custom short cut for a key not in a menu? I need to create a short cut key for the colon and semi colon lol.
    Thanks!

When trying to move file and use command and drag, it doesn't move the file just creates a short cut.

    Using command creates a copy.
If you want to just move a file, click on it, hold it and drag it to the new location.

  • Creating the short-cut for a jar

    Hello All,
I have created an executable jar and now i want make a short-cut icon to be placed for this jar on desktop. This can be done manually by right clicking on the jar and creating a short-cut. But can this be done automatically? If so please let me know how to do this?

As in like for an installer? I don't believe there is really a way to automate the process, however, the best thing that I've found to do (to make it easy for the user) is unzip the program files to a certain place, and allow them to drag a shortcut to said predestined place to wherever they wish (i.e. the Desktop).
    Hope this helps!

  • Web ADI - Creating FSG's

    Hi,
My client is looking at installing Web ADI. They currently use the Define Report functionality in client ADI to upload FSG reports and would like to use this functionality in Web ADI. They are on e-business suite version 11.5.10 ru2.
Is this functionality available? If so where and how.
    Thanks
    Catherine

    Hello
You can define links to other General Ledger databases by using the Define Database Links window. You give each linked database a name, which you can then use for copying FSG report objects from the linked database into your current database.
For example, when you implement General Ledger, you might define all of your FSG report objects in a test database. Once your production database is fully functional, you will probably want to transfer your report objects to it. To do this, you first create a link from the production (target) database to the test (source) database. Once the link is established, you can copy the report objects by using the FSG Transfer program.
    Hope this helps

  • How can I create a "short cut" with my email address becomes a one click function

  • I want to import icons when I create an short cut

When you create a sortcut to a web page, the icon attached to the shorcut is the standard Firefox icon. With IE when you do this invariably the icon is that of the website which makes browsing the shortcuts much easier. Is this due to a Firefox setting or a setting on the PC. Any help most welcome.
    Thanks

IE can do that because it is part of the OS and MS can easily add extra features.<br />
In Firefox you have to add the site's favicon yourself if you do not want the generic icon.
If you drag a link or favicon on the left end of the location bar onto the desktop to create an internet shortcut then that shortcut gets the icon of the default browser.<br />
If you want a different icon (favicon) then you have to assign that icon yourself to the desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties).<br />
You can usually get the favicon if you append "favicon.ico" to the main domain of a website (e.g. http://www.mozilla.com/favicon.ico ) to display the favicon in a tab and save that image to a folder or see if you can find it in "Tools > Page Info > Media".

  • How do you create a short cut to insert date in Numbers 3.1

    Hi,
Does any one know how to create a keyboard shortcut for inserting the date in Numbers 3.1

The install-by-doubleclicking Automator Service (where it becomes a menu pick if you use it often and find that more convenient than a formula in a spreadhseet) is here (Dropbox download). Depending on your settings you may need to go to System Preferences > Privacy & Security and click the 'Open Anyway' button. If you want you can assign it a keyboard shortcut in System Preference > Keyboard > Shortcuts.  If you don't like it or find you the formula is just as easy for you, then in Finder hold down the option key, choose Go in the menu and navigate to Library > Services, where you can trash it the way you would any file or package.

  • Creating a short cut for another users calendar

    Hello,
I don't know if you can do this but it would really help if it is possible.
I created a calendar for travel information. It is planned that all in the office will use it when out of the office. They will create an entry in their calendar and use the travel calendar as a resource so all travel appears in one resource (travel calendar).
In order to open this calendar for viewing I have to goto file- open -other users folder. Then the travel calendar opens. I would like to create this calendar as a shortcut or icon so I dont need to open it from the file open...... each time. Is this possible? anyone have another idea?
    thanks for any help.
    Jason

You cannot do shortcuts of this type with the current 9.0.4.x release. However, the future 10gR1 will make things significantly better.
With the 10gR1 release, shortcuts will be supported. You will be able to browse through your folderlist to access users calendars (rather than going through the FILE | OPEN every time). And if you use Outlook 2003, the 10gR1 release will also support the 'side-by-side' calendar views and the 'My Calendar' shortcuts.
OCFO 10gR1 is currently in beta, and is expected out later this year.
    Hope that helps,

  • How do I create a short cut for my Adobe ExportPDF

Good morning I recently brought Adobe ExportPDF and need to make a shortcut to get to it quicker is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance Tom

    Hi, Tom.
You can access ExportPDF from your computer more quickly in three ways:
You can download and install the CreatePDF Desktop Application. More info is here. With this application, you can drag PDF files onto a desktop icon and have those converted to Office files. (If you subscribe to the CreatePDF service, this application will also allow you to create PDF files.)
You can download and install the newest Adobe Reader and access the service using Reader's Tools Pane on right. Then, any time you have PDF open in Reader, you can (with a couple of clicks) convert that PDF to an Office file.
You can drag the webpage icon from your browser to your desktop. This will create a shortcut to the ExportPDF website on your desktop. Here are some instructions for doing that using Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Let us know if you have additional questions or issues.
