Web ADI export button disabled in OTL Super Timekeeper responsiblity

Hi All
In the OTL Super Timekeeper responsiblity, the export button is disabled for exporting the time details. How to enable this button so that data can be exported to Excel sheets.

Did you do the setup required to enable the Web ADI on this form? Web ADI doesn't work by default. Check metalink for directions.

Web ADI Export icon does nothing

Hi experts
The integrators have been installed and the EXPORT icon worked successfully at one time. Not sure what happened, a click on the EXPORT icon does not do any thing at all. This is in our DEV instance. Now our TEST instance works perfectly.
Any pointers on what might have went wrong in DEV or what to compare between the 2 instances, that it works in one and not in the other?
We are upgrading from 10.7 to R12. Database is 11g. OS is Linux.

Do you find any error in BNE logs.
Please check 'BNE Server Log Path' to locate server patch where log will get created. Also to check name of log file check profile option 'BNE Server Log Filename'. If you are not see any logs then can you increase log level and see if anything is captured their, it can be changed using profile option 'BNE Server Log Level', change it to trace for max information. Also can you check access_log(latest) to see if their is any error.

Remove an export button form Infoview page web

I' m asking if there is any way to remove or Hide an export button form Infoview page web for End user(Picture attached)? as I can't set export format to PDF only, So I m looking to remove the button from end user view ( I' m aware about disabling Export Action in security, but I have to leave the export right enable other way mozilla firefox can' t print the report Active X fault )

you can using webelements depending on your version of enterprise and using the dhtml viewer. this works on the report level so that other reports can still have the export button available.

How to Export two web items using one export button in WAD (3.X) ?

I am trying to export two reports using one export button which are in two columns of the table in a web template created in WAD 3.X. but not able to do it. i also tried to doing the same thing in BI 7 copied that code and pasted in 3.X but that doesn't work.

hi,
SPS 14 for NW 7.0 is installed. I found out, that the filter pane has should have the property "Affected Data Providers (LINKED_DATA_PROVIDER_REF_LIST)" and the navigation pane not. Look at:

Export button in Web Viewer not working

Hi,
I find out one of the reasons that this could be happening. On clicking the export or the print option that URL is automatically redirected to my http://localhost/.../CrystalReportViewerHandler but this folder does not exists in the folder where I have deployed my application.
The details for accessing this folder is stored in the <my application folder>/WEB-INF/web.xml
The contents of the file is listed below:
<servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>CrystalReportViewerServlet</servlet-name>
    
    <url-pattern>/crystalreportviewers</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Please let me know how can I resolve this issue.

How do we define a Web ADI integrator and Associate it with a window?

Hi,
I'm on Oracle HRMS 12.1.3. I would want to export data into Excel from a form window (Navigation Path is: Leave Management > List Employees By Absence Type > Query).
When I try to export data, it says: APP-PER-289792: Before you can run a mail merge or data extraction from this window, your system administrator must define a Web ADI Integrator and associate with the window ...
I've tried looking around for articles on how to create Web ADI integrator s, but couldn't find one that explains how to associate the integrator with a given window. Any advise will be highly appreciated.

Web ADI with excel 2010,

Hi,
Is it possible to use Web ADI with excel 2010.
I saw an article in metalink saying we need to apply a patch in order to word.
However we were able to generate the template without applying the patch, but it didnt have the Oracle under Add Ins menu.
Does anyone know if it is possbible to use web adi with excel 2010 without appying a patch.

Close all your excel windows which you have opened
open new excel, navigate to
File-->Options-->Trust Center--> Click on Trust Center Settings
select Macro Settings --> Select the radio button Enable all Macros (not recommended;potentially, dangerous code can run) { dont worry about selectign this option once web adi is downloaded changes back to its original disable notifications icon}
Enable the check box Trust Access to the VBA Project Object Model
Click on OK again click on OK close the excel

How to create a Web ADI template and save it in our apps?

Hi all,
I want to create a user enrollment template it Web ADI so that I can send the form to the client and they will just fillup the spreadsheet with all the users they want to add to the system then load it using Web Adi.
For example this form is:
I want to create a Web ADI template for the forms above, which is saved in the apps database. Just like the template sample below:
1. Add Oracle WEB ADI you your responsibility. Explore how to create document etc
2. Using Oracle General Ledger, go to Enter Journal and click on Launch Journal Wizard..from there you can create document similar to attached
Please help how to create templates like this.

How can you add your own print and export buttons to the CR viewer toolbar?

I posted a previous question that was asking how to get around the Information Bar in IE7 when you export and print. Unfortunately the CR viewer file download code gets blocked by IE7 because the buttons don't directly download the file. However, I have been able to get a regular button that calls the following code and streams the file to the client and IE7 does not block it.

So here are my questions?
1. Is it possible to add a custom print control/icon to the CR viewer toolbar?
2. If one is not possible, then is it possible to override the CR viewer print and export buttons with your own subroutines like the one above?
I just want my page to look nice and hate to have print and export buttons outside of my CR viewer.

It might be possible to replace the buttons in a windows app since you can retrieve the toolbar as a toolbar object in the winform viewer ( ToolStrip toolBar = (ToolStrip) crystalReportViewer1.Controls[3]; ) however with a web app, it's a lot more difficult.
The problem is that that you need to parse the Request string to try and figure out if the print / export button was clicked. The code below makes the print button disappear if you click it, so you should be able to modify it to call your custom printing / exporting code instead (You have to do this check in a postback)

How to insert a pdf export button in a module

Hi,
I would propose a way for my students to realize easily a pdf export of one screen. The goal is that students save a file with a drag and drop exercice in order to re-use after.
So, I tried :
- Use a shape and execute Javascript, window.print(). I had think to say students to use pdf export instead of print. In my case, print works only in html5. In flash, only the background is displaying.
- Use the print widget of captivate. It works but it's hard to use it. Student needs to edit properties to choose layout / paper size. Otherwise, some part of the screen are not displaying.
So I'm looking a solution to insert a pdf export button. Idealy a student clicks up the button and screen will be export in pdf format. I try this wdiget (http://captivatedev.com/2012/07/25/adobe-captivate-6-x-widget-dynamic-pdf-export/) but we can export only variables.
Anyone has a good idea to share ?

Thank you Pat. The thing is that i can´t upload any document to the web server because it belongs to "Jimdo". They give the option with a kind of Plugin and the Pdf comes directly from your browser to be download from the visitors, but it look ugly. That´s why I inserted a link to go to another page (different server) where I can upload documents. I think a need someone who know Jimdo.

Export button for crystalreportviewer control not showing ddl entries for..

we have a .net web application that was created using asp.net 1.1.
It displays crystal reports using the crystalreportviewer control.
Once the report is displayed, the user clicks on the export button and it looks just fine.
so everything is ok when it is run on the developer machine.
We start having issues when the application is deployed to a test server.
Here is the weird part: the site is running using asp.net 2.0 instead of 1.1. (not sure why, but they have their reasons)
First off, we tried creating the report and got the good ole "bobj is undefined". So I copied the crystalreportviewers folder into the site itself. I then updated the web.config the way it is described here (bottom):

That fixed the bobj, but now we have an issue with the export button.
when we click on the File Format drop down, the choices display at the bottom of the screen. So the user is unable to select a format. They are stuck using the preselcted "Crystal Reports (RPT)" entry.
A few other things visually...
-the main tool bar is white instead of being shaded grey
-the export dialog is white instead of being shaded grey
I'm wondering if we using the right version of the crystaldecisions dlls? We are using version 12.0.1100.0 of those dlls for this problem site. is it ok that the site is using asp.net 2.0? or does it HAVE to use 1.1?
bobj keeps haunting me in one way or the other.

The CR assemblies of version 12.0.1100.0 were specifically compiled to use framework 1.1. That is why you will also find those same assemblies of version 12.0.2000.0 - yup, you guessed it - compiled to use framework 2.x. Unfortunately, without an application configuration file, the latest compatible runtime version installed on the computer is loaded by default. So the app loads framework 2.0, but the CR assemblies are configured for framework 1.1
The way I see it, you have two options option;
1) install framework 1.1 on that computer. You will then have to create a configuration file that will direct your ap to load framework 1.1. For details on how to do this see the MS KBase [Configuring a COM Application for Side-By-Side Execution|http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/65y5x3xf(vs.71).aspx].
2) Compile your app to use framework 2.0 (e.g.; .NET 2005 or .NET 2008), thus loading CR assemblies of version 12.0.2000.0

SQL exception occurred during PL/SQL upload in WEB ADI Upload

Hi All,
I created Custom Integrator with META DATA as Update. This Integrator Downloads the data and will update the date. Once it is updated, I am uploading the same. For Quite Some Time, Everything is working fine and no issue.
All of Suddenly , I am getting the error message 'SQL exception occurred during PL/SQL upload.' When I am trying to update and upload the values in the same custom integrator.
My Oracle Apps and DB Version are
RDBMS : 11.1.0.7.0
Oracle Applications : 12.1.3
Any Help is appreciated.

I found the issue. If you check read only check box for the mandataory parameters that Package is using, then we get this issue. Try to avoid read only check box for mandatory parameters in th epackage.
For Example.
I am using hr_person_extra_info_api.update_person_extra_info API in my custom package, In this API, p_person_extra_info_id is the mandaory parameter.
I am trying to download the data and updating the data and uploading the values with the custom WEB ADI. In the custom layout, I checked ready only box to parameter 'p_person_extra_info_id '. With this I am getting issue 'SQL exception occurred during PL/SQL upload in WEB ADI Upload'.
again I unchecked the read only button to this 'p_person_extra_info_id ' Parameter. It is uplaoding and working with no issues.

Help needed with Custom Web ADI Integrator for Mail Merge

Hello,
I've created a custom web adi integrator to generate letters to advise of end of probationary periods.
The problem is that at the end of the process when the letter is opened in Word 2007, it only displays one record, and does not allow me to "preview results" and cycle through the records (this part is greyed out). It appears that the letter is not merged with the data spreadsheet although it does display one record from it.
Our EBS version is 12.1.3 and we are using Office 2007.
These are the steps I have followed so far (in brief):
- Create a view to provide data (names, addresses etc).
- Set up a new custom function (similar to seeded function HR Integrator Setup).
- Add the custom function and other functions to Desktop Integration responsibility.
- Add the relevant functions to end user's responsibility menu.
- Add new category "other" to HR_ADI_DOCUMENT_TYPE lookup.
- Create Download Excel Integrator by choosing Desktop Integration -> HR Integrator Setup. Enter "PER" for application and my view for the View Name. Upload.
- Create another Excel document by choosing Desktop Integration -> HR Maintain Form Function Associations, and choose the integrator created above. Enter my custom function name in the generated spreadsheet and upload.
- Define a layout for the new integrator.
- Run the integrator under the end user responsibility and save the resulting spreadsheet, which is full of data as expected.
- Create the letter in Word, using the saved spreadsheet as the data source for the merge. At this point the merge is successful.
- Go to Desktop Integration -> Document Management and upload the Word mail merge document. Associate it with the custom document type created earlier.
- Link this document to my integrator.
- Go in as end user responsibility and run the integrator.
At this point after enabling macros it loads 2 spreadsheets (one full of data) and the Word document, but the Word document only displays one record (approx the 10th in the list - there are about 100 in total). All of the relevant merge-related menu items on the "Mailings" tab are greyed out.
Can anyone offer any pointers please?
I did wonder whether it mattered if I changed the names of documents, e.g when I download and save the resulting spreadsheet full of data which I then use to merge to in the Word Doc, is it OK to call the spreadsheet anything or should it be left as the default name?

System Administrator -> Application -> Menu. Query back User Menu Name = "Desktop Integration Menu" and add the following functions:
WITHOUT PROMPT
a. HR Integrator Setup
b. HR Maintain Integrator Form Functions
c. HR Disable Integrator
d. HR ADI Document Overwrite Page
e. HR ADI Document Upload Page
f. The custom function created in previous step ("NTC_HR_LETTERS")
WITH PROMPT
g. HR ADI Document Management Page
- Add the relevant functions to end user's responsibility menu.
System Administrator -> Application -> Menu. Query back menu attached to custom responsibility of end user that will perform the action once set up.
Add the following:
a. The custom function "NTC_HR_LETTERS" as created previously (without prompt)
b. Desktop Integration - Create Document (With Prompt. This function will be used to generate letters)
- Add new category "other" to HR_ADI_DOCUMENT_TYPE lookup.
SA_Application Developer -> Application -> Lookups -> Common. Query back Type = HR_ADI_DOCUMENT_TYPE and add a new entry entitled "Other". This document type is later assigned to the Word document I upload and link to the integrator.

Web ADI and Autopost

Currently, we are setup in GL to autopost all GL journals. I am trying to troubleshoot a Web ADI issue and for a particular user, I'd like to have the uploaded spreadsheet data stay in the interface table rather than post to GL. I believe there is some problem with this template. I'm told setting the profile option BNE Allow Set Parameters would all the person uploading to choose whether to post or not, but from my understanding, if you change that option, don't you have to download a new template for that to take effect? If so, that would defeat my purpose of checking out what is wrong with the existing spreadsheet. If this is the case, is my only other option to disable autopost?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking originally until someoneone told me about the profile option. I was hoping I could do it by profile option and really just trying to understand how this works with Web ADI as I am a Web ADI newbie. From what I saw elsewhere it didn't sound like the profile option would work for my purposes and was trying to confirm that here. If it requires downloading the template again after changing it, then it won't work for me.

WEB ADI Error with Excel - Compile Error

I am trying to export data to Excel. The process works until the data is loaded to Excel whereupon I get a Microsoft Visual Basic error "Compile Error: User-defined type not defined.
Behind the error message is several screens from VB with the following line highlighted "Dim oParser As New SAXXMLReader30"

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
