Web ADI Journal Layout

Hello
Could someone please advise if it is possible to change the Web ADI Journal layout to a Cross Tab format (i.e. Accounts down the page and Periods across the top of the page)
Example
Account Apr May Jun July etc...

I can only see where it can be added as a Header or Line Item.

difficult question... update or not update...
I guess you are in a test environment, so I would update the table, and test thoughtfully.
what was the application id in the source environment? if it changed, then you should check with who performed the upgrade.
if instead the integrator application id changed, then you might ask a patch from oracle.
Least but not last, if your manager is in a hurry and s he is against direct update on the table, go front end and recreate it - it takes 10 minutes. however this introduces another step and dependencies in the system upgrade process, and you might want to have as few as possible steps in it.

Hi ,
I would like to know from gurus , on how to customize the WEB ADI Journal Import Template, as per the client's requirements.
I would like to add a custom validation for a line level reference column (Referenc6 of GL JE Lines) and also for the Accounting Date column in the Template's Header field.
Kindly suggest me which package / setup needs to be looked at so that I can include the validations. I could see lots of BNE stuff ..not sure where to go for.
We are on 11.5.10 Oracle Applications version on 10g Database and trying to create the layout with the responsibility 'DESKTOP INTEGRATION'.
Oracle Web ADI 11i 8.4.1.34.

Web adi modify layout

Hi,
we are working in Oracle applications 11i.
In oracle web adi , integrator: General Ledger-Journals -> Layout New Foreign Actuals - Single -> context field set of book value is set to primary set of book. How can we give the user option to select foreign set of book?

the issue is resolved. in order for the layout to point to another set of book i did the following:
duplicated the oracle web adi responsibility and named it MRC oracle web adi.
updated profile GL:set of books of the new responsibility to the desired one.
that's all.

Web ADI GL Journal Template - Journal Line Number

Is anyone know if you can add the journal line number to a web adi journal template.
Our users create journals in a spreadsheet and upload in to Oracle vua web adi. They print a hard copy of the journal in Excel ADI template format as well as an output from Oracle of the journal to which their backup is attached. This is required for our audit/SOX requirements.
Our users/audit review team are frustrated that the order of the lines in the adi xls file is not the same as in the actual oracle journal.
Having looked at the journal template document I cannot find the journal line number as an option when creating the adi template. Is there any other way of ensuring that the line number in excel is the same as in Oracle (aside from re-ordering the excel lines into code combination order).
We are running on Oracle Applications : 11.5.10.2

GL Journal Import Web ADI Issue - Line DFF

We have a requirement to add DFF values to Journal Web ADI import. We have added Line DFF Context and Line DFF fields to the layout. Document is getting created and but the upload fails with the below message,
Upload processing did not complete
Exception during parsing of upload document. java.lang.NullPointerException

How to end date or inactivate Web ADI Layouts

Hi,
I am trying to hide or suppress Web ADI layouts, help me how to go about it.
Here are the details..
In the Integrator - "General Ledger - Journals" , there are several layouts. I wanted to hide all them except two.
One option is to delete unwanted layouts, but I may need these layouts for future.
So I don't want to delete them.
Is there any provision to end date or inactivate a specific layout.
Help me.

Hi,
I am afraid but it looks to me (in R12) that there is no valid date or enabled flag in the underlying table. So in default the only option would be to change the layout name to something like "** do not use **".
As an alternative you can offer a direct webadi link to the users with predefined layout name (last step in the create document wizard). In this case the user can not change it anymore.

How to create a Web ADI template and save it in our apps?

I want to create a user enrollment template it Web ADI so that I can send the form to the client and they will just fillup the spreadsheet with all the users they want to add to the system then load it using Web Adi.
For example this form is:
I want to create a Web ADI template for the forms above, which is saved in the apps database. Just like the template sample below:
1. Add Oracle WEB ADI you your responsibility. Explore how to create document etc
2. Using Oracle General Ledger, go to Enter Journal and click on Launch Journal Wizard..from there you can create document similar to attached

The sample tutorial you and Aj gave me seem for older version like 11i or 12.0. Can i still apply or follow it for 12.2?

What powers does "Desktop Integration Manager" have, that "Desktop Integration" does not have? and vice-versa.

Refer the section "Creating Form Functions Using the Create Document Page Flow" in Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator Implementation and Administration Guide. User to have system administrator responsibility assigned to have this feature enabled as this is a SysAdmin task.
THE BIG QUESTION - since "Oracle on Demand" will not allow their users to have System Administrator, how can I add the required functionality to the supplied Application Administrator and resolve the questions below?
Problem Description:
Web ADI – Create Document, Save to Form Function is grayed out, therefore it can not be used
1. How do we enable Web ADI functionality to Create document and Save to Form Function?
2. Once saved to form function how to we navigate to Application>Functions?
3. Once the Short cut is saved to the Form Function, how do we attach to a user’s responsibility?
We have only Application Administrator with no Applications> Functions menu, however we do have in our test instance Application Developer with Applications>Forms and Functions, but it does not appear to have the same rights as SysAdmin. I tried adding the menu functions simular to SysAdmin to Application Administrator but no luck unlocking (ungraying) the form.

Web ADI Error: Permissions and Connection Issues (Please Help)

I'm new to WEB ADI and I'm trying to set up on an 11.5.10 Oracle Application. I'm reading the white paper "Understand and using Web ADI in Oracle HRMS" From metalink
I created the functions Create Document, Web ADI Layout Definition, Web ADI Text Mapping and HRMS Create Document. I also create the sub menus HR ADI Seeded Integrator Form Functions and HR ADI Skills Seeded Integrator Form Functions in the menu US_SHRMS_NAV, and made sure the ‘BNE Allow No Security Rule’ is set to Yes
I was able to get the seeded download procedure to work, however the seeded upload procedure didn't work for me. I received an error " The connection to the server is unavailable". I also notice that I don't have access to HR Update Salary Proposals Integrator or the HR Integrator Setup integrator, when I select them from WEB ADI I get the following error "You do not have permission to access this functionality."
Can someone please assist me in get passed these issue?

How to load a Query in the bne_stored_sql in WEB ADI table.

I have a unique requirement as follow.
I have created an VIEW , which is given in the Download WEB ADI integrator defintion.
I am trying to query this view based in few search conditions thoughr a CO code. I am not used any time loading the Query in the bne_stored_sql table to achieve such funcaitonality.

Hi,
I am creating the layout for a sales order which will be send to a customer.
In that order the customer can see the payment conditions.
It should look like this:
net price: 1000,00 EUR
19,00% taxes: 190,00 EUR
gross price: 1190,00 EUR
payment conditions:
payable within 30 days net: 1190,00 EUR
payable within 14 days with discount of 2 %: 1166,20 EUR
to get the bold marked digits I need to have access on the following tables:
OCTG and CDC1
In the OCTG table I get the days (in this example 30)
In the CDC1 table I get the days of cash discount and the percentage (in this example 14 and 2)
but in the sales order layout in PLD only the OCTG table is shown when I create a database field and the CDC1 table isn't.
So what can I do to get this?

Web ADI- Modification of FA Additions standard template problem

Dear Gurus,
We are on Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2. DB 10g On Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.8 BOX..
I have modified the custom template of FA Addition.. Here is what I needed and what I have done..
1. I excluded the mandatory Clearing Account Field from the template.
2. I enabled Attribute 1 to Attribute 6 columns for display.
3. Enabled those fields for mapping as well.
4. Created a new template.
All these I have done is by adjusting back end information.
Problem:
I am getting the attributes in layout creation page there I can select them for showing it on web adi spread sheet lines
but when I create the document the Attribute Columns does not appear in the sheet.
I have bounced the machine after doing the changes Still no result.
Technical Changes I made for doing this :

No concatenated descriptive flexfield value to validate.
how to get rid of it ?

How to enter values in Descriptive flexfield by WEB ADI

Hi All,
I am using GL-Journals as an integrator for uploading data using WEB ADI. I have DFF at Journal lines. There is Context Field value and also 3 lines(Attributes). I can enter the data by clicking the Line DFF Context and Line DFF manually. The entered values are shown as concatenated values in this cell. But the data is in different columns in excel file. I want to map the data from excel(which is in different cells) to this one column in the WEB ADI template.
Does any one know how to map this.

After couple of investigations, I understood that it is not possible to map and upload DFF Values unless you concatenate the data. We all know it used to work in client ADI. I have found these documents 1072689.1 and Bug 8469705.
If someone knows any workaround please let me know.

Web ADI doesn't work properly in R12.1.3

I've had a number of problems with Web ADI not working properly.
For example ...
It says it has successfully loaded 2735 rows but only loads 2653 rows into the GL interface table.
It gives error messages saying low level apis haven't worked but no explanation of the message (there are some references to this on metaling but none are relevant and the same line will pass the next time I run the same journal)
It loads records into the GL interface table when on validation of the spreadsheet it finds errors and says it hasn't loaded any records.
Anybody had similar. I've a tar with oracle but no answers. It's obviously bug ridden but I assume there must be an esoteric solution / workaround (re-boot pc and spin around) otherwise it wouldn't have been released.

Have you looked at note 978982.1 R12.1: WebADI Uploaded Lines Are Missing in GL_INTERFACE Table?
