Web Analysis not loading

We are using EPM 11.1.1.3. For some users Web Analysis will not start. The first browser window opens but the second one never loads. This happens in IE8 which I know is not supported but we have several users with IE8 where this works. I can work around the problem using Firefox 2.0, but I would like to get the IE issue resolved. Any ideas?

Hi Fran,
Do the users have java enabled, are there any error messages in the error console? This tends to show most common issues.
Are the users on a local network or remote - I have previously seen other issues using web proxies.

    I have bt inifinity 2, from my laptop and mac (with same wifi connection) webpages load no problem, from my android tablet and iphone (with same wifi connection) web pages not loading. On these devices I can load youtube videos, and apps have connections/load data, it seems to be limited just to browsing webpages.

    I have made my report on Web Analysis. I could open and edit it till yesterday. But now whenevr I try to open it I get an error popped up saying "Error loading document". I am not able to figure out why am i facing this problem. Could anybody please help me on same.

  • Web View not loading in Cocoa Applescript application?

    Hey guys...me again, and I need help, AGAIN, haha.
    I found a tutorial for web views in Cocoa Applescript because I couldnt find it anywhere, but it wont load.
    The web view does not display anything when the app is launching.

    When I launch it...it says this:

    Does that have anything to do with it not loading the webview?

  • Calc defined in Web Analysis not working properly with substitution vars

    Hi all,
    Most likely many of you have already faced this, and I would appreciate any guidance. Most likely is a rookie mistake.
    1.- We have a couple of substitution variables in Essbase, CurrYear and PrevYear
    2.- We can see those substitution variables perfectly in Web Analaysis, when designing the report ($CurrYear and $PrevYear) for the Years dimension
    3.- We use this susbtitution variables into a calculation defined in Analysis Tool (i.e $CurrYear:Actual / $PrevYear:Actual) where 'Actual' is the value for scenario.
    4.- The value of the substitution variables is changed in essbase (i.e. CurrYear equals FY10 and Prev Year equals FY09) to update for the current year
    5.- In the reports, whenever we use $CurrYear and $PrevYear, outside a calculation defined in analysis tools, it works properly
    6.- However, the calculations defines as in (3.-) before, do not work. I get 'value not found'
    7. If I 'refresh' the formula in the calculation, by editing it and taking out/reentering the operands again, it now works.
    We have tried restarting Web Analysis services, but we still get the same behaviour
    We have several of this calculations in about 15 reports, so, even while it is manegeable, the idea of using the substitution variables was to avoid this.
    We are using Hyperion 9.3.1

    Hi,
    Oracle support recommended that we apply patch 9.3.1.3, since they were unable to replicate in their environment with said version. After applying the patch, we still have the same problem, they are further investigating.

    Hi, I don't think it's important to understand the results, it does us no good, other than to know they've made a mistake when designing that page, perhaps just a minor one that affects several thing after that, and that some Browsers can handle or figure out that error.
    A bit like I ask a browser to draw me a map of what's at 1st & James street, and there is no 1st & James, but there is a nearby 1st & Main street, & a 2nd & James, so one browser refuses to draw what's at 1st & James since there is nothing, another draws what's at 1st & Main street, & what's at 2nd & James, figuring that must be what's wanted.
    Bottom line, someone caring for that site needs to fix the error, or you can use a browser that handles that problem.

    I did got same error some time back. Go to visual Administrator and start the application if that does not work undeploy that application using Visual Administrator undeploy the deployed the Application, and then again deploy the application

    Getting a white screen in both frames of the web interface after logging in. Can't figure out why it won't load.

    Hi parking, if the GUI will not load please try the following;
    The same computer using IE, Firefox, Chrome,etc
    Different computer with the mentioned browsers (preferably  Windows 7 or older)
    If none of these work, try to factory reset the switch as it sounds like the software is hung

  • Web sites not loading on EDGE at my office

    I've been using my iPhone 8 gig successfully to surf the web and the YouTube app on both Wi-Fi and EDGE (even though its slow) at home, at the gym, and at Starbucks. However, right now it's not working. We don't have wi-fi set up in our office, so I have to go through EDGE. Whenever I try to load a site I get the error "Safari can't open the page because it can't find the server." I have full bars and am able to make outbound calls and receive inbound calls. Any ideas?

    I am having the same problem here, as well. I was able to load web pages and email earlier today (albeit seemingly slower than I was able to this weekend) and now, all of a sudden, it's not loading web pages, my weather and stocks widget or email. I am getting the same error message you mentioned. I have full signal strength, the little "E" up at the top and nothing. I've even tried turing off wifi and restarting the phone to force it to use EDGE as the default also with no luck.

  • Web address not loading

    Recently upgraded server for my company web site and associated sites. They all contain the same url with different endings, ie: /client or /php etc. However, now within my home network, those urls will not load. Have tried it on multiple computers and different browsers. So I am assuming the modem or airport express are still trying to find the old server although the url remains the same. My computer finds the new server just fine outside my home network. I have had my ISP reset the modem and I have reset with every option the Airport Extreme Router. No luck.
    Has anyone else experienced this problem?
    Does anyone have a procedure or suggestion that might fix this problem that I haven't already tried?

    With WiFi off, do you see an E outlined in blue next to that AT&T logo?
    If not, you are not gettinga cellular data connection.
    Has it worked previously?
    If it has worked previously try turning airplane mode on for 30 seconds, and then back on. If its not working after that try reseting the iPhone by holding down the sleep/lock switch and the home button until you see the Apple logo.
    If still not working, I would recomend contacting AT&T to verify there is not an issue with your account, or with EDGE connectivity in your area.

    Overnight, a couple of days ago, my web browsers (Safari and Chrome) both stopped loading webpages. When I click on a link, I get a blank page. But when I am logged as a guest or browse through Vmware's windows I can still browse normally. Thanks for helping to fix this.

    I've got Sophos installed from long time ago. That's the only antivirus that is installed.
    Checking in firewall settings didn't help I think, cause even after desactivating the firewall temporaly didn't fix the issue in both web browsers.
    This issue is not discussed in Mac malware guide.
    Another detail, is that some web content will load like this discussion group or google search. But If I click on any item from google search, the page won't load.

  • Firefox web pages not loading properly

    For the past few months I have been having problems with Firefox not loading some websites correctly. I have tried all the suggestions I have found when I Google the issue. I have created a new profile several times, I have constantly cleared my cache and cookies, I have uninstalled several times, and start in safe mode. All of these are just temporary fixes and the problem comes back in several hours to a day later. I can reload the web page buy holding down the sift button and then the pages load correctly. This is really starting to get frustrating and I'm seriously considering switching to IE9 or Opera, I only have the problem with Firefox. Can anyone help me?

    This problem of Firefox occasionally failing to style pages, and being able to fix it for a while when you reload the page bypassing cached files (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+r), has been reported in several threads.
    One possible cause is a corrupted cache. If you exit Firefox and rename its cache folder, Firefox should re-create a fresh cache. I have to research the steps for this if you want to try it.
    Another potential culprit is an external program that removes files from the cache in a way that Firefox does not detect, so Firefox fails to re-request those files until you reload bypassing cache. Samsung's Support Center software (typically on newer systems) has been identified as one program that causes this problem, but there may be others.

  • Profile Manager Web Interface Not Loading

    I set up a Mac mini with 10.9 and Server 3.1.2 to be our MDM server. After the initial configuration the https://<servername>/profilemanager and /mydevices web interfaces work just fine. I'm able to enroll five test OSX and iOS devices. Then I come in the next day and the /profilemanager web interface is unreachable. The /mydevices web interface still works though.
    I tried reinstalling 10.9 and server and setting up from scratch and the problem repeats itself the next day. According to this thread deleting Server.app and reinstalling is one solution, but that did not work. I also tried resetting the Profile Manager, but that did not solve this issue either.
    When trying to load /profilemanager on the server, a MacBook, and iPad, Safari will just hang when loading the page. The title bar changes to "Admin," the blue status bar hangs, and the page does not load.
    This one is baffling. Any suggestions as to what to do would be most appreciated.
