Web based albums. Flickr, Fotothing or EyeFetch?

Im currently with Flickr, Fotothing and EyeFetch. You can display your photos and you get various feedback with all three. Flickr is huge and EyeFetch shows a lot of potential.
Which one do you favour and why?

I know of no way to get a web sit or slideshow with all of the items you want with any of the iLife applications. You can have a password protected web site with iWeb same as with a Web Gallery. But the photo page will only display the file name. Now you can replace the file name with the description with this Applescript before creating the web page (or the Web Gallery): An AppleScript to copy iPhoto Description to Name.
There are professional image management applications that can create a web gallery of photos with all of the metadata listed with each photo. But not with the current iApps.
However, you can export most of the metadata as a text file with Metadata Export for iPhoto v1.1.0 and then post that text in a second page of an iWeb site for reference. Not convenient but doable.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Running Opera, flickr, teashark and web based apps...

I am unable to run web based applications like opera mini flickr cellity Teashark and others.
Whereas opera,flickr are some inbuilt apps but still unable to access internet through them.
Internet accessing is fine via default browser but none of the web browsers like Opera mini, Teashark,etc are not working.
Its not the problem of Network since on my other mobiles, apps run fine.
Please reply with the solution for the problem so that i can access web via web based Java Apps.

ok so here is step by step procedure:
Menu->Settings->Configuration->Personal config. sett->Options->Add New->Access Point:
now what you hav to do here is dat basically you need to know the access point of the setting you want to use key in the access point there. user name and password are nt needed usually.
save that access point and go back to the configuration page nw in 'preferred access pt.' set dat access point which you created just nw.
this process worked for me mayb this works for you all too. (i've presumed dat you all have got your internet services activated from your provider)
if you don't knw the name of your access point then your operator's customer care centre could be of some help..

Removing a web gallery album, even after the iphoto album has been deleted.

I have just created an Album of photos in iphoto, and then published the album to the web gallery. I was able to view the album via the web and my wife did too on a windows based laptop. I then went back to add 2 more photos to the album in iphoto, then again went back to see if they were uploaded too. One was and one wasnt, then the second one did after a couple of minutes. Now I have deleted the albums I created in iphoto, but I still have the link to go to the web gallery site and the album is still online with 24 photos. How can I remove the photos from my online gallery.

I think your best bet is to post your questions on the iPhoto discussions. More people will see them there.
I have been using the web albums for some time. I have merely started iPhoto, then select the web gallery album you wish to delete. Click on the "Web Gallery" icon located at the bottom right hand side of the window. When it opens click on "advanced". You will see the option to hide the gallery on the web.
Now you should be able to go back to the album in iPhoto and delete it.

Web based Applications in Nokia 5220 xpress music

I recently bought this phone (Nokia 5220) but I am unable to run web based applications like opera mini flickr and cellity . The problem is although I can access internet through the phone browser I am unable to access the web through these applications can some one please tell me why this is happening ?

Browser is no longer recognized by a web-based database after migration to FF17

When trying to access a web-based data base thta worked fine with FireFox 16, I now got message: "Your Browser is not supported" at the place where an image loaded via a plugin (ChemDraw plug-in 12.0.2.1076) should load. This worked perfectly with version 16 and the plugin is still in place and not declared incompatible by FireFox. How do I modify the way FireFox announces it-self to the web site so that it is not declared incompatible...

I tried and it works ! What I had to do was to downgrade to version 16, install the add-on, copy the configuration from there as a new User agent (which I called FireFox 16), then upgrade and then select the FireFox 16 user agent...
Amazingly enough, however, when checking the test (through the web site http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/features/test/ it says I have version 17 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0) aven though I selected my FireFox 16 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0).
I do not knwo exactly why the test does not work but the web site that needs FireFox 16 works ...

Web photo album error - need help please

I am using the newer version, which is Web Phot Album 2.1. It
used to work fine, i installed the new update for dreamweaver and
now it doesn't work. When i did update dreamweaver, I did what it
said and disabled the exentions. So, to the problem. When I click
on the open files button to choose which pictures i want, it gives
me this error :
' A script in file C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
MX\Configuration\Shared\Common\Scripts\dwscripts.js has been
running for a long time. Do you want to continue?'
so after i click yes, it will build the images using flash,
but it will not create any of the html or any of the html pages.
please let me know if anyone has any other ideas?????

amsSettings table and at least one of the other tables per Ken's
suggestion (which will give you a Cartesian join if unresolved),
you should either remove the double quotes from the
#SESSION.auth.NewLinesNo# parameter if it is numeric, or use single
quotes if it is a text field ('#SESSION.auth.NewLinesNo#')

How to migrate from forms to web based application

I did a form for Oracle applications, but client need a web based form for this application how can i migrate this to web based form. If it is possible can u give me suggestion how migrate.

Not sure if that's possible, as developing forms for Oracle Applications requires the use of TEMPLATE.fmb to start with, and the use of certain standards to adhere to the look and feel of the applications. Review the Oracle Applications Developer's guide for more details.
What You may do now is to upload the form to the Application Server and compile it to the adequate directory $PRODUCT_TOP/forms/[LANG], register the form, associate to a function and use it in a menu to see it trough Oracle Applications standard interface, but it may show a very different L&F and not all standard functionality may be available. With the Dev Guide's on hand, apply required changes and test Your form in the application.

I am not sure if there is any tool to do that.
You can delete WebSphere specific xml files from ear/jar and open it in Weblogic's builder tool. Weblogic Builder is a GUI tool. Helps you assign values for deployment parameters, Transaction attributes, JNDI names and so on. Then you can generate deployment descriptors. Subsequently you can modify the descriptors as and when you want.

There is no simple or easy or fast way if the application were not properly designed.
Does it follow the Model-View-Controller pattern? If it does, your migration path is easier. If it is the typical app (the button listener method does it all), the migration path is not.
I guess that you will have to redesign the app and reuse only very specific parts of your code, like formulae calculations.
Code is cheap, analysis and testing are not.

Client/Server to Web-Based application Conversion

Hi! Everyone,
I have couple of questions for you guys.
Our Client had recently upgraded Forms 4.5 to 6i to move from Client/Server based application to Web based application.
They are using Forms Server 6i Patch Set 1, OAS 4.0.8.1, Windows NT Service Pack 5 and Oracle 7.3. They are facing the following error every now and then, when they run the forms,
"FRM-92100: Your connection to the server was interrupted. This may be the result of a network error or a failure on the server.You will need to re-establish your session."
Please let me know what might be causing the above error. The only problem i can think about might be Oracle 7.3. If i am right only Oracle 8 and above supports Forms 6i.
Can anyone let me know some tips and/or techniques to upgrade Forms 4.5 to 6i. If there are any important settings/steps which we might have over looked during the upgrade, please list them.
Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.

You may develop the addon based on SDK DIServer for required function.
The DI Server is an extension of the DI API and supports all its objects. It is intended for high-volume data integration, where numerous client connections must be managed simultaneously and optimized for speed. It is also suitable where Web-services architecture is preferred.

To build web based application for taking backup

Actually , I have prepared menu based scripts for taking backup.
Now what i want to make is WEB BASED APPLICAATION for taking backup. My idea is to build the Web Pages which will call the scripts which i have already buit . But I don't know how through Web Pages I am able to go in the server and call the scripts .

Web Based Application Single Sign on With Enterprise Portal

Good day Developers,
My question is really a two part question so forgive me in advance for asking in one post as I think they are relative to each other. My project is currently exlporing the creation of functionality that will allow the following:
1. We want to allow a secure Web Based application possessing the abilitiy to auithenticate the user into Enterprise Portal and by passing the login screen to get to a landing page/iview in our Enterprise Portal instannce.
2. We want the abilitity to perform a check of the user and create the user in the enterprise portal on the fly if they do not already exist.
So far in my research I've come across tools and white papers mentioning the use rof oAuth and OpenID. Is that the right way to tackle these two items. Thanks for your help in advance.

1. You can do SSO between you application and portal using Verisign or third party authentication tool. I am not pretty sure how landing page and all will work as you mentioned.
As portal is web based, you can deply your application in portal server. So that you will not need any other authentication tool.Also you can save effort , cost.
2. By deploying application in portal also you do not have to concentrate on User management, which is itself a huge effort you have to put. Else you can go for third party tools like Identity management or ADS.

Authentication between Single Sign-On and Web based applications

Hi everyone,
I need to create a way in Portal 10g (10.1.2.0.2) that allow me to do the following:
Once the user is logged on Portal (against Single Sign-On - SSO) he doesn't need to retype his username/password when he access a web based application throught the portal, in my case, an ASP application (not .NET, just ASP).
I made a test creating a External Application in SSO and after publishing this portlet (external application) inside portal.
It worked, BUT I was prompted to inform username/password to log on the aplication.
So, the user end up entering his password twice.
Does anybody know a way to acomplish this task?

have figured out how to secure any HTML, ASP, PHP, CFM, etc. web page again Portal / OID using the PDK toolkit.
Using AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) and one Oracle Stored Procedure just adding a simple Javascript call to any HTML, ASP, PHP, etc. web page can secure it via Oracle SSO (OID). Access to any secured web page will require that it to be linked from an authenticated Portal session or a page opened in an authenticated Portal session.
This process can be easily modified to add in group security etc. This is just my starting point.
1) Create a stored procedure
