Web Browser "An error occured in the script on this page'

Hi,
I try to use a Web applic through std SBO Web Browser window. However I get this message:  "An error occured in the script on this page'.
Why do I get this message? (I don't get it through other explorers)
Is there a way to change browser parameters? Does SBO uses IE?
BR,
Vangelis

The default is IE. Not everything that works on IE works through web application. Many open source web standards do not play well with IE. Try IE 8 or higher.

Are you able to print from another program, such as Firefox, Google chrome, etc?

Well I found a temporary fix for this issue. I put the http://www.businessobjects.com/ as a trusted site in IE!!
First, get the URL of the site to trust. For example, " http://www.businessobjects.com/
.Next, Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options". Click on the "Security" tab.
Click on the green circle with a white check marked "Trusted Sites". In the space provided, enter the URL of the site (you'll probably want to uncheck the box requiring SSL, which is a high-security link, for all sites). Click the "Add" button. Continue entering sites until you have them all entered, then click OK as needed. If you find another trusted site later, simply go back to this menu item and enter the data.

  • An error has occurred in the script on this page.

When I start the computer, and get to the Windows page, before I open any other programs, I am getting this error message in a box:
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
    Line:  1
    Char: 1
Error:  Unable to open registry key
                “HKCU\software\classes\clsid\{ab8902b4-09ca-4bb6-b78d-a8f59079a8d5}\localserver32\a” for reading
    Code: 0
    URL:
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
No matter if I choose yes or no, I get a blank screen with a lot of nonsensical writing in the top box.
Can anyone help me clear this error?

Malware or trojans like to hide in this key, not saying it is though but just in case run a full scan with your antivirus program and download Malwarebytes Free, not the trial version.

  • Internet Explorer Script Error - an error has occurred in the script on this page.

I am using Adobe Contribute CS4, version 4.1 and have the following error message when trying to administer a website of a new client.
    Internet Explorer Script Error

    URL:    http://www.domainname.net
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
    Yes  No
As this is the only website I am seeing this error message, I am wondering if indeed there is a problem with the scripts on the page.  Does anyone know how to fix this scripting problem?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

  • Getting An error has occured on the script of this page when copying content from SharePoint to Excel

    Hi,
We have a SharePoint site where we use Windows Authentication for the base site and Forms based authentication for the extended site.
In the extended site certian portion of the site is having an anonymous access and certian part of the site reqires credentials to see the content.
When i try to copy the content from base site with Windows authentication to excel sheet it is prompting for the credentials and on providing the credentials content is getting copied.
But When i try to copy the content from the extended site either from the anonymous access pages or the pages which are shown after authentication in both the cases we are getting the below error.
On the error if i click on yes it is going to Login page of the site even for the pages with anonymous access as well as pages what we see after authentication.
Is there any way to avoid prompting for the windows credentials in case of Base site and avoid this error in the case of extended forms authentication site, as i am just copying the plain text from site to excel.
    please help
    Thanks,
    Neela Krishna.

    Hi Inderjeet.
Thanks for the reply I guess we could not get the fiddler trace as we are getting this error while i am copying the data to excel file which is present on drive from SharePoint this is not on a browser. Correct me if I am wrong
And Alternate access mappings and IIS bindings are perfect.
    Thanks,
    Neela Krishna.

  • Script error when opening Contribute "An error has occurred in the script on this page"

This error pops up every time I connect to my work website. I'm not sure what the issue is! If anyone could give me some insight then I can work towards the solution. Thank you in advance!

I had the same issue this afternoon (10/20/14).  All my capital letters disappeared on the web page!  Poof, just gone!

  • "The following errors occurred while trying to open this page." Why?

    Dear all,
I'm running an online store at http://bubblething.com. I created it with iWeb 08. It crashed and I've been trying to recreate it, partly from images retreived by Apple from their "webarchive" and partly with images created fresh. I But I keep getting a dropdown error box saying "The following errors occurred while trying to open this page." Then there's a list of the missing images, and the images are all crossed out on my page. This seems to be happening unpredictably, sometimes just a few days after I've worked on the page. What's happening? Is it because somehow I've moved files, and the links to the images are broken? Please help!

  • Every time I open Firefox or open a page in a new tab, I get the error message that a script on this page is not responding or has quit working. This has only happened since I upgraded to 5.0.

Even when I start firefox I have to sit here and wait for it to tell me a script on this page is not responding or has quit working. Once that happens which takes a while, I can say stop script and it moves on. I've always liked using firefox and have never had a problem in the past, however if I can't get this particular problem fixed, and I've tried many ways to do this, I may have to change to another browser. I would hope that you could find out why this is happening to me before I make that decision. One other thing, I am using the dreaded Vista OS.

Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
    ''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
    # You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    # Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

  • Using Explorer, trying to print from the web I get "There is an error on the scripts on this page"

I assume this is an Explorer/Windows problem. Using Google Chrome, no problem. I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC dm3 and use Windows 7. I've done several things to try to resolve this: empty cache, fiddle with Adobe settings, privacy settings. Anyone got other ideas?

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and remove the tick next to Internet Explorer 9  Click Yes then OK and then when done, restart the notebook.
When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and re-enter the tick next to Internet Explorer 9.  Click Yes then OK and when this has finished installing, restart the notebook again.
