my nokia 5800 dont save the user id and password, i mean to say that when i entered my user id n password and click the button sign in, it doesnt work it again ask me to enter,
i cant login into my facebook app, gmail n ovi
plzz help me for that,
but this problem is not from the start, it just started a month before.

That option has been there since day one. Nothing new. You just noticed it is all. Not everyone needs to worry about others accessing the computer, and that option just makes things a little easier. Also, the access is not open permanently.

I'd maybe try doing a search for Safari on your iPad first (swipe to the left to search). If it shows up in that search you can go to Settings > General > Reset and choose 'reset home screen layout' which will put it back where it would be by default.
All else fails? Restore it.

Sorry if this posted twice I am NEW. I thought I could just go back to what I typed and add to it. Mom had a computer it died they are putting in the old drive on the new computer as a slave. What are the steps I need to do to transfer ALL the bookmarks, user names and passwords onto the new computer. We will have 3 desktops do we have to do the same steps on each desktop? Si no se usa, deshabilitalo. Entra a Preferencias del Sistema / Usuarios y Grupos con una cuenta con privilegios de administrador. How do I get the user name and password for the Apple Extreme Router to set up my Slingbox? It will not accept the Apple Extreme Name and password.

The AirPort Extreme does not have a User Name, but it does have a device name and device password, which you may have already tried.
There is also a Wireless Network Name and Wireless Network Password for the AirPort Extreme, which might be what the Slingbox is looking for if you are trying to connect it to your wireless network.
There are no other "user names" or "passwords" on the AirPort Extreme.
You established the device name, device password, wireless network name and wireless network password when you originally configured the AirPort Extreme.
If you cannot remember these, you will need to perform a Soft Rest to reset everything. Follow the instructions in this Apple support document:

Is there any way to save the user id and password, so that user can login without manually entering the login credentials everytime. Please find below my system details. The Question is for which Front- Ends?
For the WRC you dont have to do anything as long as the Information under "System" is correct and "Windows AD" is selected under "Authentication. Leave "Username" and "Password" blank.
Just hit "OK" and you are logged in.

I got a new E71 replacing a Windows PDA and I don't find the way to automotically save the usier IF and the password when accessing URL whic demand it. I need to to type once and again.
I use to have it in my windows PDA. Can anybody help me and indicate how to do it??

Create a favorite->add other object-BSP APPLICATION
enter the following
BSP APPLICATION - CRM_UI_FRAME
Start Page - default.htm
in parameter add the following two parameters
sap-user - value ishould be your user name
sap-password - value should be your password.
you can also create a internet explorer favorite by adding the same parameters to the original link. i.e.
http://sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm?sap-user=(user name)&sap-password=(password)
save the favorite. and now when you double click on this favorite, it will launch web UI and won't ask for the password.

Running web browser as separate user?

I'm wondering if anyone does this -- in light of how many ways there are for a web browser to accidentally let something in (even when you're careful about controlling scripts and such), I've been considering it.
The way I'm thinking of doing it is something like:
chmod o+x ~/
chgrp browseruser ~/.Xauthority
chmod g+r ~/.Xauthority
XAUTHORITY=/home/me/.Xauthority sudo -E -u browseruser opera
...I vaguely remember reading somewhere that there are some security implications to granting another user access to one's .Xauthority file and X session, but I don't remember what they are. Two things I can think of offhand is that the web browser would still have access to my user's clipboard and primary selection buffer, but the security risk from that is minimal.
At any rate, even if some malicious script is robust enough to know how to attack Opera on the latest Arch Linux, I really doubt it'd be so sophisticated that it would know that it's being run as another user and break across to my account.
Thoughts on this? I've never actually seen an exploit jump out of Opera, so I'm mostly just being paranoid for fun here.

Since I'm not using a DE, I don't really know what xdg-open is going to choose to open something with (it picks Firefox perplexingly often, though -- PDF? ignore the MIME database; open it in FIrefox! .DOC? ignore the MIME database; open it in Firefox! etc.).
And xdg-open is just one example, too -- like I said, I don't trust the well-meaning upstreamers who invented that not to invent something else in the future, so disabling xdg-open is again only a piecemeal solution.

Call Apple and ask them to send you a replacement install disk for your system. You may have to pay of course, but if you can't recall the user name and password used when the system was set up, then a copy of the install disk may be a very useful thing for you to have around.

I save my name and password in my general preference but each time , i use safari it ask me again ... We are using ironport for you proxy server.

Internet proxy settings are configure under the settings of the particular wi-fi network at the very bottom under http proxy. I also noticed that in the new version of IPCU, under wi-fi settings you can add proxy settings for that particular wi-fi network...do you use one of these methods and it doesn't work?

I am using Windows XP. I have checked TOOLS>OPTIONS>PRIVACY for Firefox 6.0.2 and find that the selected setting for FIREFOX History is REMEMBER HISTORY.
I also checked TOOLS>OPTIONS>SECURITY and found that the REMEMBER PASSWORDS for SITES is CHECKED and that there are NO sited listed in the EXCEPTIONS area.
In the past (before installing Firefox 6.0.2 when re-installing Windows XP, I COULD save the ID and PASSWORD.
Do I need to switch back to an earlier version of Firefox?

I'm trying to save user name and password on a site with a pop-up for a login screen but it clears too quickly after submitting to reach the remember pw button.

When I log in to point click care, for example, the site requires a password to electronically sign a document. This has the option to store the password immediately after clicking the "sign" button but the whole window clears as soon as I submit it which consequently clears the remember password dialogue box therein. I would like to manually add the password to the list, is it possible? Can it be made possible? Several hundred of these a month and typing an involved password gets pretty old.

Do you still see the Key icon on the location/address bar to open the remember password doorhanger?

I have three inputs which is User name, Password and URL. URL may be like anything like for example gmail,yahoo,hotmail like that.
No need to authenticate the URL. Just i want to place the credentials in User ID and Password controls.
On button click the URL should open in browser and the credentials should place in the controls in log in page.
How to achieve it. Ultimate thought is the user should know the "Password",only admin know the password.

Hello,
If URL's are internal (not third party) then you can do this by modifying both applications. If you are trying to do this with third party then you have to contact product owner. I don't think there is any code or solution for third party application where
you can set values of controls.
For internal URL's you can create custom web service and call this web service in both the applications. One to get value from first app and then second to set value in another app.
