Web browser font size

Does anyone know if you can set a larger font size for the browser screen for the Tour when calling up web pages. The type is tiny and it's a pain to have to keep zooming in. Thanks.

enter the browser application, select the menu button, select options, then select general properties
you have 3 options to change font size and style (bold, etc)
default font size
minimum font size
minimum font style
when done hit menu button and select save
be aware that changing the font size will change how the text is positioned on the page, and in some cases the overflow may get clipped, such as when the size of the text boxes have been predefined to fit a specific page layout and larger text simply no longer fits.
so you may want to begin by changing the style to bold first , and experiment with font size slowly

Can anyone tell me how to change the font size when reading web feed using the browser. Basically, the text is too small and I can't change it when read web feeds.

Font size can't be changed in the feed's "preview window". By tapping on topic (a link to web page) you can select the font size in the web browser settings or zoom by tapping twice.

  • Unable to use all the feature of my email service (Juno on the web) like; font size/color, bolding, italics, highlighting etc why? Those features work through Internet Explorer but not Firefox.

When I go to my Juno on the web through Firefox, I am unable to use the tool features such as:
    Font size / Color
    Bolding
    Italics
    Bullets
    Highlighting
just to name a few. Yet when I bring it up through Internet Explorer these features work, plus the way Firefox reads my Juno the tabs are distorted (the page is not formatted correctly, I contacted Juno they said I should contact my modem company AT& T they said no so you are my last resort.. Please help resolve my issue, THANK YOU in advance for assisting with this matter.

It is up to Juno to enable Midas, the Rich Text Editor which is built into Firefox, with one little line of code on every web page that has RTE for IE. There's nothing that you can do to turn that feature on your self, it has to be coded on each web page that has Rich Text Editing.

Their ignorance probably lies with their staff programmers only knowing how to do it for IE ''(their training and certificates are probably from the Microsoft cabal)'', and not realizing that Gecko and WebKit apps each have their own Rich Text Editor's, which require their own small line of code to enable those Editor's.

  • Font size in Photoshop looks totally different in Web

    Hello,
i have a very strange problem. Im using Photoshop CS6 right now to make some modifications to my website.
We are using font type Arial 12pt in the PSD file and also Arial 12pt in the web. But in the web the font looks much bigger than in the psd file.
When we save the PSD as a JPG file in browser and compare it to the website the fonts of the JPG file look fine but in the web they look much bigger.
It seems we have to use 12px in the Web so it will look same like 12pt in PSD.
But im very confused by this. How is that possible? Or what are we doing wrong?
    thanks

The web runs on pixels, not point. Depending on the default browser font size, system font sizes and a million factors the dynamically rendered type in the browser can always look different. Even assuming 72 dpi isn't exactly true any longer due to high-DPI displays and browsers using other logic internally. that and of course the CSS formatting on the web site can override certain things as well... Complicated subject with no easy answers. Generally you should expect that it will look off more than expecting it to look right under all conditions. Therefore make up your mind how you render certain texts and don't intermingle image-based text them too much with normal text.

  • Urgent! Web browser ActiveX control size messed up.

    Please help.
The program was compiled in LV7. I use the web browser control to display some html file. Initially I set the size to fit 1024x768 screen. But the customer use the size 800x600 to install the program. after he reset the screen size to 1024x768, the web browser control size is larger than supposed to be. The OS customer uses is Windows 98. IE5.5. My compile environment is LV7.0, OS WinXP, IE6.
I asked the customer to reinstall the program under 1024x768, but the size of control is still larger. Please indicate what the problem could be.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello inhaler,
Thank you for your question regarding ActiveX controls. You mentioned that the size of an ActiveX web browser control is not correct when viewed on another machine. It sounds like the application was installed with 800x600 resolution and even after changing the resolution to 1024x768, the size of the control is still too large. I tried to recreate the problem by building an executable in LV 7 (Windows XP, IE6) with an ActiveX web browser control and then run the executable on a Windows 98SE (IE5) machine with 800x600 resolution. The browser was large but this was expected with this resolution setting. After changing the resolution to 1024x768 the browser window seems to be sized the same as the window on the XP machine. In short I wasnt able to rec
reate the problem youre having. Could you provide a simplified executable that demonstrates the issue and attach it in a response? I have access to a 98 machine so that I can test the problem that youve encountered.
I look forward to hearing from you!

  • Font size adjustment

I installed Photoshop Elements 11 on my PC with no problems.  However, once I use the program the font size on all screens, e.g., Organizer and Editor, is very small.  I don't know where to make the adjustment so I can view the program in at least 12 pt. fonts.
<moved by mod from download, setup and install - kglad>

Some of the fonts are fixed and you cannot make them bigger unless you want to run at a lower resolution.  On the Web you can change your browser font size.  I guess this is the trade off when using a monitor with very high resolution.

  • Font size too large in IE in spry drop down menu

Created a Spry dropdown in a table row thats over a background image. My client just notified that on his windows IE there are breaks in the table cells above and below the table cell that hold the drop down. Looks great on all my macs in different browsers but if I increase the browser font size I notice the same issue. He says same issue on multipul computers at their business and has not messed with the default browser size.
Here is a screen shot. Site can be viewed at http://www.mountainchaletaspen.com
I can  decrease the font size but then hard to read. Also not sure if it's a DOCTYPE issue.
The menu portion is a template page - if that matters.
Thanks in advance for any help,
    Mark

I hope the problem is solved. I was scouring the code for the menu bar items and noticed there were spaces  between some of the end tags - specifically between a few of the the </a></li>. I closed them up and my the template view in my assets panel suddenly corrected itself (it had been showing the gaps between tables but the paged still looked fine so I discounted it). That and also decreasing the width of the main menu items helped too. If someone with windows IE could check I would appreciate it:

  • ITunes 11: how to decrease font size?

The font is so large now that only single digit tracks show in their entirety, anything such as 13 or 15 appears as 1.. and 1... If you therefore need to locate track 15 you must count on from 9. Dragging the dividing line makes no difference.

Those links are not user editable. That being said there might be a way with javascript and an HTML snippet but the only person here that I know of who might be able to figure out that javacript is Cyclosaurus.
A good alternative is to create your own Text Based Navbar. That way you can control the font (be sure to use Web Safe Fonts ), size, color and rollover colors. Another benefit to a text base navbar is that search engines can read those page links whereas they cannot for the default navbar.

  • After the recent update the entire browser, including menus, icons, and everything on the web page, are too small. Fonts are smaller, pics are smaller, zoom settings will not remain universal. Minimum font size will make text readable, but all pics are to

The new update has screwed up my browser settings, I cannot get them fixed and Im pissed because my computer is an eye-sore to read until this is fixed! EVERYTHING in the browser is smaller, fonts, menus, icons, web page content, pictures, tables, etc. I have set the minimum font in the settings and the text is just to a point where it is easily readable at the maximum size setting, but all the menus and icons are still tiny and hard to read. The last version I had installed worked fine with no add-ons needed. Everything fit the screen fine and was easily readable without modification. I want this version off my PC and I want the last version I had back on but I dont know what version it was!!!!!!! ARARGGGG
In fact, this stupid troubleshooting window that I am in filling out this form doesnt fit the page right at all, and edges of the text are cut off, so Im not even sure what some of these boxes are asking for!!

*Try to adjust the DPI setting, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/layout.css.dpi
*Try to set the pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 2 on the about:config page.
To open the ''about:config'' page, type '''about:config''' in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

This should NOT work!  The UI elements should safe encode all input values - thereby eliminating the value of any HTML tags. If you system isn't doing this already then it is a bug and if you rely on such a thing it will stop working at some point in the future.
You are basically restricted to different values available via the design parameter.  The overall font sizes come from the underlying themes and the client applications (browser or NetWeaver Business Client) that host the Web Dynpro Application.  Therefore no direct specification of the font size is possible in order to stay within the controls of theme.  If you don't like any of the designs available, you might consider altering the Portal Theme you are using - but that is a rather drastic approach.

  • Web Gallery Template Font Size Adjustment

When I am in the Web module and using one of the templates (Flash or HTML), I would like to be able to adjust the font size of all the text used for the titles, headings, captions, etc. In general, I find the default font sizes too small, especially on the Flash templates.

    Hi Swapna
    Try following:
    1. Test with standard Survey component. You can do this by removing assignment of enhancement set to a client.
Use transaction SM30. Open table BSPWDV_EHSET_ASG to remove assignment. Now the standard component should be picked up during survey processing in Web UI.
    2. If the standard survey component is also not showing the note effect then you can check if the note is applied properly. There are some manual steps in the note which are normally overlooked.
After applying the note the font size from the 'htmlb' tags will overwritten by a fixed font size specified in a css file(htmlb_style.css).
After Applying the note please verify whether the htmlb_style.css is also imported. This can be done by the following steps
1.Goto Transaction Se80, and then go to Repository browser.
2.Select 'BSP application' from dropdown and the application as SVY_H.
3.Expand the Mime folder. Here the file 'htmlb_style.css' must be present.
4.Place the cursor on the 'htmlb_style.css' right click and select display from the menu. This would show the file with new font sizes.
    3. There is one more note from where you can download the latest css file(htmlb_style.css).
Note 1356414 - Text gets cut off for long surveys
    Hope this helps

  • How to make browser font (not web page fonts, I know how to do that) larger? Many older people need this.

Again not web page fonts. The font for the browser itself. The font for the menu, toolbars, ect. needs to be larger. My parents are 90 and 91 years young.

Use this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface:
*Theme Font & Size Changer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/

  • Web browser zoom and text size

Has anyone figured out how to respect requests by the user from the web browser to zoom or change text size?  I tried it on Adobe's home page and it seems to work for the most part, so I know it's possible, but I don't know a not too painful way of implementing this in Flex.  You'd have to use the ExternalInterface to register some Javascript functions that captured the correct events and passed in the zoom or text size then change that in your Flex app as appropriate, which would take a bit of work.  I'm always looking for the shortcut on everything.  So if anyone knows of a widget or settings, etc. that would help in this respect, I'd appreciate it.  Thanks.

  • What Is The Best All-round Canvas Size For A Web Browser

What is the best all-round canvas size when authoring a swi
for a web browser? by this I mean best for authoring without
scrollbars. I know a chap whose screen res is 800x600 and who has
every single toolbar displayed in IE, leaving around 400pixels in
height free. For crying out loud.
I once sat with a bloke who uses Courier New set at 36pt as
his default browser font. Ouch. I sat there transfixed, not
believing what I was looking at; to this day I have no recollection
of our conversation, so stunned was I.
    I've used 780x410, 800x600, 770x540 and I'm going nutsoid
trying to find the best compromise; whatever size I use, distortion
creeps in if accompanied with an "exactfit" value, especially if
the height and Width values are set at 100%.
    Beats me.
    What are you guys using?

personally avoid scaling, especially filling up user window.
more and more really high resolution monitors out there,
the larger the screen the more CPU it sucks...
Don't follow the exact screen size like 800x600 as it is
    never the
browser ratio, must consider the browser chromes.
I will design something within that size or slightly larger
    and use the
around margin to incorporate graphics as part of the design.
Sometimes even smaller than that and centralized. Depends on
    amount
    of content.
