Web browser on n82 won't start

hi people!
I was using my n82 and all of a sudden the web browser closed when I tried to restart the web browser it wouldn't open.
I tried letting the phone rest but it still wouldn't work
Can anyone help me?

Did you try a reset ?
Switch the phone off, remove the battery, wait one minute and reinstall the battery and switch the phone on.
Propably it will be ok again. ;-)

I have checked that all apple updates have been applied but can't get around this error. Has anyone any suggestions? We are very eager to get this server running.

That solution worked like a charm on the MAC workstations but it still does not work on the Windows XP workstations. Is there anything that addresses that issue?

Personal Web Sharing doesn't want to start. (Apache problem)

I have accidently deleted apache folders from my iBook. Then I reinstalled the apache, but when I tried to start my Personal Web Sharing, it just won't start. It says "Web Sharing Starting Up", but it stays that way for ages. Any idea? It worked before (I mean before the accident). I dunno if it's got to do with the mySQL coz I reinstalled another version of mySQL.

I am experiencing the same problem: going through the System Preferences (in OSX 10.4.10), to the Sharing pane, then the Services Tab, and clicking Start Personal Web Sharing only gives me "Starting Web Sharing..." and never actually starts it.
I have tried the following solutions:
• replaced httpd.conf files using both the httpd.conf.default file from the machine in error as well as from another Mac (adapting the usernames as appropriate)
• replacing the entire /private/etc/httpd directory with the one from the other Mac, whose Web Server will start up
• when starting it via Terminal, i get "fopen: no such file or directory" so I created it... no dice.
Can anybody give me any more suggestions?
If not, I do have AppleCare on it - think they might help?

[SOLVED] Firefox won't start - "Failed to execute default Web Browser"

I've just updgraded from Firefox 3 to version 4 (by running "pacman -Syu") on my 64-bit Arch installation. I started XFCE and Firefox 4 worked fine for a few minutes before crashing and closing automatically.
A short while later (long enough to forget exactly what I was doing when it crashed!) I tried to run it again, but got the error message Failed to execute default Web Browser. / Input/output error.
I've tried rebooting the PC and re-installing firefox & firefox-i18n, but still get the same error. If I run "firefox" from a terminal window, I get the following response:

Thanks for that. After I posted my last message, Firefox crashed again on a website containing embedded video. I disabled the add-on, but when VLC was updated, I guess it installed and enabled the add-on again. Firefox worked fine initially, but I've just tried to open it again and the same "input/output error" message appeared. I rebooted, but the problem persisted.
Uninstalling the vlc-plugin package seems to have resolved that, though.

Hi Kevin,
this looks like a common issue: You've probably not configured the static contents for APEX ("images") properly. Please make sure you've set the parameter to point to a path that contains the contents of the "images" directory of the APEX installation package that fits to the APEX version of the instance your APEX Listener is supposed to host.

Firefox browser won't start or open & keep crashing on desktop

Today I got a strange problem which is kind of strange to my, so some of the details and what happened? It was just shut down the Firefox browser and trying to open it again but i got a crash pop-up message !
Not only this, but that the crash message keep pop-up, which compelled me to send a first report, the second report, etc. a lot of reporting and the problem is still there! So I then tried to fix the Firefox browser by clicking on the re-start Firefox and even reset Firefox but this did not work \\!
So right now I use Chrome browser in order to report the problem

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

- I never heard that but it may be true. It could be that for some reason Safari can't be used to log into the network. Once logged in, Safari should work fine

Start Web Browser from ABAP in WINGUI with SSO

Hi,
I'm using WINGUI 6.20 patch 47. I need to start a separate web browser to display a BSP.
The difficulty is that we want single sign on to work. We have the portal set up for authentication and our instance is set up to create and accept logon tickets.
We've tried to use the html viewer control but I think this only works within the html gui ?
We've tried the CALL_BROWSER function but it doesn't seem to pass along the logon ticket.
Is there a way to do this ?

the suggested solution works at 90 %.
The BSP we display in the html control calls another bsp in a popup window.
The popup requests the login again. I think this is because the popup starts a new Internet Explorer browser which has no session state.
The strange thing is that if I first start a browser and authenticate to the server and then run the function which displays the bsp in the html viewer, it works great. I think it uses the logon ticket that the browser received.
Everything else works but we can't use it if popups don't work since CRM 4.0 uses a lot of them.
Also, if we use the show_url_in_browser function, it works. The problem is we have a useless window displayed. Is there a way to close this window immediately after the show_url_in_browser method is called ?

JDev902: How to make it NOT start up a web browser on debug start?

In my JDeveloper setup, when I click on the bug to start my application, it starts up the embedded OC4J and eventually finishes initializing it. I then go to my already running web browser and request the application URL. This works fine.
My colleagues, however, get slightly different behavior when they click on the bug, at some point during that process it actually starts up another instance of a web browser and tries to go to a particular web page. We all find that very annoying and would like to turn it off. Fortunately for me, it doesn't do that to me. What do they have to do in their environments to make that NOT happen? We don't want it to start another web browser instance when we debug the application.

You'd think if the field was blank, it wouldn't do this at all.
I looked at my configuration, and the field is blank.
I went to my coworker's system, whose field was also blank, and who is getting this annoying behavior, so we changed the field to "aaaa". This works. It doesn't bring up the browser window. It does, however, still print out a line in the messages window, like this:
Target URL -- http://<ipaddress>:8992/felix/index.jsp
I do NOT see this message.
So this workaround helps, as it avoids the annoying symptom, but I still wonder WHY I never had this problem, and why I don't see that "Target URL" message, which seems to be related. Both of us have the "Default run target" in our projects set to the same JSP page.

Captivate (5) project won't open in Web Browser

Hello,
Since a few weeks I can't open my projects in the web browser. Accept one of the projects (only questionslides), i have been searching for differents in the setttings but i couldn't find any differtens. When I publish the project in a .swf still the project won't open.
When I will get a preview in Web Browser or publish, the project is opening in the Web Browser and it looks like the project fade in and out in not even a second. A quick view of the background is visible . But i don't get any massage of error of something. And the page turn white.To preview the project in capitvate is no problem.
I hope somebody could help me out.

OC4J 9.0.4 won't start web applications after it was restarted even if they marked as to be loaded on startup.
I have following line in my http-web-site.xml oc4j configuration file:
<web-app application="default" name="app" root="/app" load-on-startup="true"/>
and in web.xml (<web-app>/<servlet>/)
<load-on-startup>0</load-on-startup>
But when I invoke following command:
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -restart
my application won't be started after server was restarted... :( If I shut it down and start it then it will be started...
Is this a bug? How can I fix this? Please help! SOS! Mayday!

Can you try the "-updateConfig" option of admin.jar?
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -updateConfigTo my vague memory, the "-restart" option does not necessarily implies reading the config files again.

Web services won't start - error 100002

I have done a freash install of Leopard Server 10.5.4 and updated to 10.5.8 on an Xserve G5. Added a 2nd web site (in addition to default) and now web services won't start returning the error:
A service has encounted an error.
Try to refresh the view (mysever.com/Web)
(Could not start web service - details in error log.)

Would it be possible to start a web browser from xterm? I am able to use for example, dbca or netca. But I want to know if I could start a web brower in my xterm. Thank you.

Thank you. Firefox was not found on this redhat linux, I am guessing it was not installed. I did a find / -name firefox but not finding it. I don't think the SA installed GUI on this box. Is there a browser I can use even though GUI was not installed? That is why I am attempting to use xterm hoping to be able to access a brower in xterm. I am using Xming for xterm. Is there something in Xming I can use so I can access the Oracle Database Control Console? I can use firefox from my desktop but the port is block at the firewall and the SA would not open the port due to security reasons. Thank you.
