I tryed the creative web site to download drivers but the driver it said was good crashed my computer. It said it was for xp so i tryed it and CRASH CITY. is there a driver that i should be installing that is for XP media edition? I hae a Dell inspiron laptop.... (Why you ask? I got it out of the trash and it was still working so now im using it)
is creative web cam compatible with dell computers?

Web Cam Model VF0090

After installing the right software program with the model number i tryed to use my camera with Webcam centre put it to camera mode to see it working and says "The creative camera is not available, it may be used by another resource" Hmmmm so i checked hardware list and find my camera has the yellow question mark but still give the name as the camera being a vista plus please help

It's probably because your Model No. comes with various customizable options so it's probably best to search using the Product No. instead as this should more accurately identify your machine.
The Recovery Media that will be sent to you from HP will contain all the original software that was bundled with your notebook - a quick link to the Software and Drivers available to download is below.

Vf-0040 instant web cam is not working good

This is my first web cam it's a hand me down ,i spent days trying to figure out how to get it working until i found out i needed 2 different software's to run it. Download the Creative WebCam Center and WCC_PCApp_US_1_71_02 driver and know it's sort of working after all my effort.
It is so blurry i can't even make out my own face? I cleaned the lens with alcohol and a cue tips and it wasn't any better than before and there is what seems to be a fake focus adjustment knob but it doesn't move? I played with the software and used the advanced settings and got no noticeable difference except in the color of the blur that's supposed to be my face.
What did i do wrong or is the web cam wrong

How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

I understand the computer is not detecting the webcam. I will do my best to assist you, but first I require the following information:
1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your notebook product number
2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs?
4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?
5. Have you tried another webcam to see if one does work?
Additionally, if the issue just began occurring, I would perform a system restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge whatever caused the issue. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore

Toshiba Web Camera Application

HI,
A while ago on my computer the web camera application stopped working after it had previously been for a couple weeks before hand. Whenever I clicked on it my screen would go black and then come back and nothing would happen. Now I am trying to fix the problem,I just tried uninstalling it from my computer which I did and now when I click on it it tells me that windows is searching for it and I can browse for it myself if I want. I then tried reinstalling it from the support area of Toshiba.com and after I had downloaded it nothing happened, I clicked run and then that was it the program never popped up on my desktop. I was wondering if maybe I downloaded it wrong or if any one else has any ideas on how to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Web camera initialization error

I have a toshiba L650 model psk2cu-13r02c laptop. I am getting the message "Web camera initialization failed. Please check camera device and restart camera or application. I have gone to the device manager and disable the device and restart the computer. This did not solve the issue. I have down loaded the drive tc30049700n.exe for the web camera and run this rebooted and I am still getting this error message. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get my web camera to work?

If you did a Toshiba Recovery to your unit's out-of-the-box settings, and you still have no webcam appearing in Device Manager, it's safe to assume it's failed. Turn your laptop over, from the Toshiba label on the bottom, carefully copy down your serial number.
Call customer support:
Customer Support in the United States
Computers: (800) 457-7777 (toll-free) or (949) 859-4273
You will get a Toshiba Tier 1 support 'tech'. This will in fact be some call center in the Philippines or India with a guy following a database of questions & instructions. He will probably try to get you to run the Toshiba Recovery again. Stick to your guns. Flatly refuse. Politely but strongly tell him you just did a Toshiba Recovery to the factory default out-of-the-box settings and you're not doing another. Request a warranty service number authorization.
Depending where you live, you can take it to a Toshiba ASP, or send it in for depot service. If you can, I'd try the ASP method if I was you.

T400 Yellow Hue in WEB CAM??

Hey Guys, New T400 arrived today, took 5 days to ship! Everything looks good, except the WEB CAM has a NASTY yellow tint to it.. I know I saw someone else post this issue but cant seem to find the post, are they all like this and if so is there a fix? Thanks!!! Running XP pro. Also, got the Vista business downgrade, XP on the HD no vista disks, but the license is on the bottom of the machine and HD only has ONE partition!

your recovery disk should content XP.
Vista should be on your recovery partition, take the disk out of your drive and
boot with pressing F11.
May be in Ati Control Center is an option to calibrate the webcam?
